The purpose of this study was to evaluate food safety practices and knowledge of foodservice workers at senior welfare centers. A self-administrated questionnaire was administered to 1200 foodservice workers at senior welfare centers in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi province. Two hundred five responses were returned, with 181 usable for analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS for Windows(ver.14.0). Volunteers of respondents comprised 64.1% while chefs and employees comprised 20.9%. Food safety practices were assessed using a 5-point scale(1: strongly disagree - 5: strongly agree), and the average score of food safety practices was 4.27. For specific practices, 'personal hygiene (4.46)' scored the highest, followed by 'cleaning and sanitizing(4.43)', 'separate handing(4.40)', 'cooking process(4.11)', and 'receiving and storing(4.05)'. There were significant differences in the practice average score by age(p<0.01) and experience of food safety education(p<0.01). The total score for food safety knowledge was 14.43 out of 20 points. In the category of food knowledge, 'equipment and facility(80.5%)' had the highest correct answer rate, followed by 'personnel hygiene(75.9%)', 'cooking process(70.4%)', and 'cleaning sanitizing(65.8%)'. There were significant differences in the knowledge total score by job type(p<0.05), age(p<0.05), working experience(p<0.05), chef certification (p<0.01), and frequency of food safety education(p<0.01). The knowledge and practice scores were significantly correlated(p<0.01). This study suggests that food safety education for foodservice workers should be conducted continuously and repetitively, and the development of proper education materials is needed to improve the effectiveness of food safety education for chefs, employees and volunteers at senior welfare centers.
Due to the deterioration of the business environment, many companies become more interested in IT adoption to strengthen their internal competence. The recent expansion of the ERP adoption in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can be interpreted as an example for this. However there are still a number of questions over the outsourcing effectiveness and its performance of IT adoption by characteristics of SMEs. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the software process quality and the product quality, and additionally the moderating effect of IT adoption factors, from the case of SMEs' ERP adoption by the outsourcing. For this purpose, the empirical analysis through the structural equation model has been carried out, based on the software quality model defined in ISO/IEC 15504 and ISO/IEC 9126. The result of analysis shows that the acquisition process quality can affect the product quality characteristics, currently applied in the national software quality certification, and this supports the practical usefulness of the ISO standard of software engineering. But another result shows that there is little moderating effect by IT adoption factors, in contrast to the expectation, and this can be explained due to the inappropriate measurement and the data constraint such as short duration-time of IT adoption. These can be used as an informative reference for continuing studies of the quality model application and the effect of IT adoption factors in SMEs.
Purpose: This study seeks to assess the educational needs pertaining to staff competency for alcohol prevention services in the workplace. Methods: The subjects were staff in charge of alcohol prevention services in four organizations. A questionnaire was modified pursuant to the IC & RC (International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium) Certified Prevention Specialist role delineation. The questionnaire consisted of five domains with 27 items. Data were collected via the self-administered questionnaire from October to November of 2009. 400 questionnaires were mailed and 144(36.0%) were returned. The collected data were analyzed using the Borich's needs assessment model and with SPSS/WIN 15.0. Results: Overall mean scores for the importance levels of competency ratings were 3.79, while the performance levels of the competency were 2.13 and Borich's need results were 6.32. Public Health and Mental Health Center showed the highest degree of educational needs in terms of education & program development (p=.022). Conclusion: The perceived importance levels pertaining to staff competency for alcohol prevention services in the workplace were higher than those of the current performance levels. Staff working for alcohol prevention services in the workplace showed a different level of educational need as regards these competency levels according to service providers. To promote the effectiveness of alcohol prevention services in the workplace, the development of an educational program to meet the needs of the service providers is necessary.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of 67 kinds of e-learning contents in an attempt to boost the effectiveness of distance teacher training. As a result of analyzing, the e-learning contents were rated highest in terms of 'training content,' followed by 'instructional design,' 'teaching & learning strategies,' 'evaluation' and 'interaction.' The scores of 'teaching & learning strategies,' 'evaluation' and 'interaction' were below 80 that was the standard of quality certification. In mean comparison(ES) of contents quality level between certified contents and non certified contents, 'instructional design' had the largest ES(effect size), followed by 'teaching & learning strategies,' 'evaluation'. In the analysis of evaluation factors, most of factors had a large effect such as 'webpage layout', 'selection of instructional design'. The findings of the study are expected to suggest what improvements should be made in the development of e-learning contents for distance teacher training.
Purpose: The purpose of this review is to introduce the progress of health promoting schools in Korea and future tasks. Method: From 2009 to 2018, we reviewed the literature on health promotion schools in Korea conducted by the Ministry of Education Results: Over the past decade, Korean health promoting schools have operated from a minimum of 14 schools to a maximum of 98 schools each year. As a result of the effectiveness evaluation, it was found that the students had a positive influence not only on the health behavior but also on the whole school life. Under the organic cooperation of the Ministry of Education, the Office of Education, the Korean Educational Development Institute and the schools, consulting, provision of educational opportunities for teachers, promotion of good practices, and public relations support systems for generalization are well established. Conclusion: Promotion and support system for Korean health promoting schools are already well established. Nevertheless, there are limitations on the universalization of health promoting schools, so various attempts such as introduction of certification system should be continued to overcome them.
In this paper, we introduce measures designed content for RTCA DO-160 F, Section 22 tests performed to verify the effects of indirect lightning and testing process of the test was carried out in the multi-purpose display certification process. This is referred to as indirect effects of lightning capability of an aircraft having electrical electronic equipment failure or damage to bring lightning induced voltages. In order to protect the avionics from lightning indirect effects of these aircraft are analyzing the effects of lightning strikes on aircraft and aircraft systems and interior design needs protection against the threat on their part. In this paper, we introduce RTCA DO-160 F, component selection process according to Section 22 category selection method and the selected level for determining the level of such measures for protection against lightning of multipurpose display for this aircraft. It also introduces the actual test process to confirm that the designed effectiveness of the selected part. We expect a good example of the lightning planned for future development of measures designed avionics through each step of the process introduced this.
Through the improvement of the Labor Relations Act, the Social Insurance Act, and the Artists Welfare Act for occupational status and rights of artists, the character of workers, joining exception in the Employment Insurance Act, and applying exception in the National Health Insurance Act and the National Pensions Act should be recognized. For this, the scope of workers should be expanded through the interpretation of the court and legislation of the Labor Relations Act, and supporting range of social insurance should be expanded by applying exception in the National Health Insurance Act and joining exception in the Employment Insurance Act for artists who are currently excluded. Artists' compensation insurance that is an optional entry system and paid entirely by artists need to have effectiveness of the system through insurance support. The Artists Welfare Act also needs to be revised to strengthen legal protection for artists and it is important to secure finances for artists' welfare projects. The standard contract should be mandatory and a career certification system for artists should be established so that artists who need welfare benefits can not be omitted.

Objectives : To present proper protocol as global standard- clinical study about acupuncture treatment, and to demonstrate effectiveness of Sa-am Acupuncture treatment for obesity. Methods : We randomly allocated participants to treatment group 1 and 2. The group 1 is treated by real acupuncture and the group 2 is treated by Kim Sham Acupuncture. We treated Bi-jang seung-gyeok (脾臟勝格) ; Daedon(LR1), EunBaek(SP1) Gyoung-geo(LU8) Sang-gu(SP5), to both group. Primary outcomes were measured by the Body Composition Analysis(Inbody. Korea). Secondary outcomes were measured by Blood Cholesterol, Triglyceride, HDL, LDL Cholesterol. Results : After treatment, the group 1 shown significant weight loss that analysed by Kruskal-Wallis certification, but didn't show notable change in body fat, total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol. Group 2 didn't show significant change in body weight, body fat, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, but total cholesterol was notably decreased. Controled group was not changed in body weight, body fat. Aftter treatment, 3 groups didn't show significant change in body weight, body fat, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol.
Course guidance is a mentoring process which is performed before students register for coming classes. The course guidance plays a very important role to students in checking degree audits of students and mentoring classes which will be taken in coming semester. Also, it is intimately involved with a graduation assessment or a completion of ABEEK certification. Currently, course guidance is manually performed by some advisers at most of universities in Korea because they have no electronic systems for the course guidance. By the lack of the systems, the advisers should analyze each degree audit of students and curriculum information of their own departments. This process often causes the human error during the course guidance process due to the complexity of the process. The electronic system thus is essential to avoid the human error for the course guidance. If the relation data model-based system is applied to the mentoring process, then the problems in manual way can be solved. However, the relational data model-based systems have some limitations. Curriculums of a department and certification systems can be changed depending on a new policy of a university or surrounding environments. If the curriculums and the systems are changed, a scheme of the existing system should be changed in accordance with the variations. It is also not sufficient to provide semantic search due to the difficulty of extracting semantic relationships between subjects. In this paper, we model a course mentoring ontology based on the analysis of a curriculum of computer science department, a structure of degree audit, and ABEEK certification. Ontology-based course guidance system is also proposed to overcome the limitation of the existing methods and to provide the effectiveness of course mentoring process for both of advisors and students. In the proposed system, all data of the system consists of ontology instances. To create ontology instances, ontology population module is developed by using JENA framework which is for building semantic web and linked data applications. In the ontology population module, the mapping rules to connect parts of degree audit to certain parts of course mentoring ontology are designed. All ontology instances are generated based on degree audits of students who participate in course mentoring test. The generated instances are saved to JENA TDB as a triple repository after an inference process using JENA inference engine. A user interface for course guidance is implemented by using Java and JENA framework. Once a advisor or a student input student's information such as student name and student number at an information request form in user interface, the proposed system provides mentoring results based on a degree audit of current student and rules to check scores for each part of a curriculum such as special cultural subject, major subject, and MSC subject containing math and basic science. Recall and precision are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed system. The recall is used to check that the proposed system retrieves all relevant subjects. The precision is used to check whether the retrieved subjects are relevant to the mentoring results. An officer of computer science department attends the verification on the results derived from the proposed system. Experimental results using real data of the participating students show that the proposed course guidance system based on course mentoring ontology provides correct course mentoring results to students at all times. Advisors can also reduce their time cost to analyze a degree audit of corresponding student and to calculate each score for the each part. As a result, the proposed system based on ontology techniques solves the difficulty of mentoring methods in manual way and the proposed system derive correct mentoring results as human conduct.

The International Convention on Standards for Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping of Seafarers (STCW) outlines the qualifications that maritime cadets must meet in order to serve as merchant marine officers. Maritime English is one of the most essential qualifications for STCW, and each national authority is implementing Maritime English education that complies with national and international regulations. In this study, an English proficiency background survey was conducted to investigate the factors related to the Maritime English skills and competencies. In line with this, maritime cadets utilized the Standard Maritime English Communication Phrases (SMCP) learning platform to track their learning progress and its efficacy. This study examined the applicability of the automatic scoring platform for Maritime English education, as well as its future potential for widespread use in the maritime education field.
