In this paper, we propose a novel reversible data hiding scheme in the index tables of the vector quantization (VQ) compressed images based on index set construction strategy. On the sender side, three index sets are constructed, in which the first set and the second set include the indices with greater and less occurrence numbers in the given VQ index table, respectively. The index values in the index table belonging to the second set are added with prefixes from the third set to eliminate the collision with the two derived mapping sets of the first set, and this operation of adding prefixes has data hiding capability additionally. The main data embedding procedure can be achieved easily by mapping the index values in the first set to the corresponding values in the two derived mapping sets. The same three index sets reconstructed on the receiver side ensure the correctness of secret data extraction and the lossless recovery of index table. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

This study developed and calculated alternative evaluation index (AEI) from the effectiveness analyses of alternatives for rehabilitation of distorted hydrologic cycle. The feasible alternatives for the poor-conditioned region in the Anyangcheon watershed were proposed and quantitatively analyzed using continuous water quantity/quality simulation model, Hydrological Simulation Program-Fortran (HSPF). The effectiveness analyses include 355th flow and 275th flow of flow duration curve and number of increased days to satisfy the target monthly flow for water quantity and BOD average concentration, total daily loads and number of increased days to satisfy the target concentration and total daily loads. The feasible alternatives are restoration of covered stream, prevention of streamflow loss through sewers, redevelopment of existing reservoir, reuse of treated wastewater, use of groundwater collected by subway stations and construction of small wastewater treatment plant. Therefore, alternative priority ranking was derived from AEIs. It will be effective to make an integrated watershed management for sustainable development.

This paper considers the influence of internal heat exchangers to the efficiency of a refrigerating system using R170. These liquid-gas heat exchangers(internal or suction-line heat exchangers) can, in some cases, yield improved system performance while in other cases they degrade system performance. A steady state mathematical model is used to analysis the performance characteristics of refrigeration system with internal heat exchanger. The influence of operating conditions, such as the mass flowrate of R170, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, to optimal dimensions of the heat exchanger is also analyzed in the paper. The main results were summarized as follows : the mass flowrate of R170, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, and effectiveness have an effect on the cooling capacity, compressor work and RCI(Relative Capacity Index) of this system. Exception for the effect of inner diameter, the RCI of R170 with respect to refrigerant mass flowrate, the length and effectiveness of internal heat exchanger is about 2.1~3.3% higher than that of R13 at the same experimental conditions. With a thorough grasp of these effect, it is necessary to design the R170 compression refrigeration cycle using internal heat exchanger.

In this paper, using the power system information obtained from real-time monitoring device, to analyze the voltage stability margin index and described the voltage stability control scheme for voltage stability enhancement. Based on the utilization of the voltage stability monitoring index based on local information provided by the PMU(Phasor Measurement Unit), the purpose of the plan is to control the system stably in real time. In order to apply the load control scheme, the voltage stability margin is calculated using the data acquired through the PMU installed in each load bus. If the voltage drops below a certain level, load control is performed for each. The effectiveness of the voltage stability control measures is applied to the actual KEPCO system to analyze the effectiveness.

It means that the final goal of customer satisfaction is the maximization with firms' financial performance, enterprise could survive through the creation of continuous financial performance. Companies are working in various ways to identify the direct relationship of service quality and customer satisfaction with financial and economic effectiveness in order to justify and validate customer satisfaction management. In this study, the influence of customer satisfaction on the financial performance is examined. Customer satisfaction index, the key non-financial performance measure has significant association with firms' financial performance index. Moreover, high customer satisfaction has a competitive advantage, so it can be the key success factor of firm's financial performance improvement.

This study was performed to report the effectiveness of upper cervical chuna and release of cranial base on patients with dry eye syndrome. The patients diagnosed as dry eye syndrome and treated with upper cervical chuna and release of cranial base. Outcomes were measured by ocular surface disease index(OSDI). After treatments, discomfort and ocular surface disease index decreased. These results suggest that upper cervical chuna and release of cranial base were effective on patients with dry eye syndrome.

The purpose of this study was to compare two saddle height determination methods by the effectiveness of pedal reaction force. Ten male subjects (age: $24.0{\pm}2.4years$, height: $175.1{\pm}5.4cm$, weight: $69.3{\pm}11.1kg$, inseam: $77.8{\pm}4.5cm$) participated in three minutes, 60 rpm cycle pedaling tests with the same load and cadence. Subject's saddle height was determined by $25^{\circ}$ knee flexion angle (K25) when the pedal crank was at the 6 o'clock position (knee angle method) and 97% (T97), 100% (T100), 103% (T103) of trochanter height (trochanteric method). The RF (resultant force), EF (effective force), and IE (index of effectiveness) were compared by measuring 3D motion and 3-axis pedal reaction force data during 4 pedaling phases (phase1: $330^{\circ}-30^{\circ}$, phase2: $30^{\circ}-150^{\circ}$, phase3: $150^{\circ}-210$, phase4: $210^{\circ}-330^{\circ}$). Results showed that there were significant differences in EF at phase1 between T97 and K25, in EF at phase4 between T100 and T103, in IE at total phase between T97 and K25, between T100 and T103, in IE at phase1 & phase2 between T97 and K25. There was higher IE in the K25 than any other saddle heights, which means that K25 was better pedaling effectiveness than the trochanteric method. Therefore it was suggested the saddle height as 103.7% of trochanter height that converted from K25.

The weapon system acquisition for national defense is too costly, risky and requires high quality result. Because of these characteristics of the weapon system acquisition, the modeling and simulation is a prerequisite process for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of weapon system acquisition. We call the process as SBA (Simulation Based Acquisition). However the modeling and simulation entails costs of model development, execution and analysis. Thus, the SBA's effectiveness analysis is needed. Especially, we developed 4 types of index which represent the effectiveness thoroughly and we applied them to various weapon systems' acquisition process. This work presents the necessity of SBA by showing the application of suggested effectiveness index in various defense weapon system acquisition cases.
