This paper intends to analyze the roles of regulations and certifications within the construction market that affect the effective recycling and application methods of construction waterproofing industries. Certifications, eco-labels, green certification patents, and new excellent technologies obtained in construction waterproofing industries are studied. In accordance to the study results, it was determined that, a total of 38 items obtained eco-labels with effective recycling as the theme, 10 items with green certifications, and 8 items with New Excellent Technologies.
This study is intended to evaluate the dependency of TRU recycling characteristics on the neutron spectrum shift in a Pb-Bi cooled core. Considering two Pb-Bi cooled cores with the soft and the hard spectrum, respectively, various characteristics of the recycled core are carefully examined and compared with each other. Assuming very simplified fuel cycle management with the homogeneous and single region fuel loading, the burnup calculations are performed until the recycled core reached to the (quasi-) equilibrium state. The mechanism of TRU recycling toward the equilibrium is analyzed in terms of burnup reactivity and the isotopic compositions of TRU fuel. In the comparative analyses, the difference in the recycling behavior between the two cores is clarified. In addition, the basic safety characteristics of the recycled core are also discussed in terms of the Doppler coefficient, the coolant loss reactivity coefficient, and the effective delayed neutron fraction.

In accordance to the study results, it was determined that, a total of 38 items obtained eco-labels with effective recycling as the theme, 10 items with green certifications, and 8 items with New Excellent Technologies. Regarding the types of effective recycled resources, most of them were concerned with composite-polymer(EVA, PVC, etc.) materials, waste tire powder, waste rubber, etc., which indicated that there is a clear limitation in the variety of the materials that are eligible for effective recycling in the construction waterproofing industries.

The usage of recycling agent is the most effective way of enhancing the performance of recycled asphalt pavement. Generally, many countries accepted these recycling agents retarding the various types of cracks resulted in binder aging. Contrary to such general tendency, recycling agents are used as very small amount in domestic recycling plant. The main reason of this is relatively high price of recycling agent. Even though agent price is high, agent can be a effective and economical way of alternative in asphalt recycling. In this study, penetration and softning point test performed by using RTFO(Rolling Thin Film Oven) aged binder. And, PG(Performance Grade) at high temperature, fatigue and MSCR(Multi Stress Creep and Recovery) tests exercised. The oil type agent is worked well to retrieving target penetration number. In PG test, $G^*/sin{\delta}$ of agents identically showed high value and polymer type agent is good at recovery value.
Plastic packaging generates less problems than most consumers think, but how to develop the recycling market for plastic waste materials will be critical for the plastic manufacturers. To do this, government must provide enough facility in order to balance economics for plastic recycling market and to run successful recycling programs. Various cost effective recycling technologies have been introduced and also have significant role to boost use of recycled plastics, but this could be only with well organized recycling policy.
PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to investigate the current state of the practice, examining the steps in the process recommended by various agencies and the Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association (ARRA)-namely mix design, structural design, structural capacity evaluation, and material characterization-in order to better understand the implications of hot in-place recycling (HIR). METHODS : In addition, the current practice of state departments of transportation (DOTs) is here reviewed with the purpose of learning from successful past experiences so as to forestall any difficulties that may emerge under similar circumstances. Also, HIR benefits, including reduced costs, improved construction processes, and environmental friendliness are presented, as well as advantages and disadvantages of HIR application. RESULTS : Most of the United States highway system is now deteriorating so that rehabilitation or reconstruction techniques are required for the most distressed roads, taking into account ways to increase the effectiveness of existing budgets. Several options are available in rehabilitating distressed roads, and the choice among these depends on many factors, including pavement distress condition, funding, and design life. Among these techniques, Hot In-Place Recycling (HIR) has emerged as a cost-effective treatment for deteriorated pavements, and has been proven an effective long-term strategy for pavement rehabilitation.

With the recent increase in the use of disposable products, it is urgently necessary to reduce the use of disposable products and to increase the recycling rate as much as possible in order to prevent environmental damage. In this paper, we introduce , a smartphone application that provides recycling-related information and supports correct separation and discharge. This system automatically recognizes and automatically classifies the type of item, by applying an effective object recognition technique, when the camera points at the item to be discharged. It is more effective and convenient compared to other existing smartphone applications. This system is expected to contribute to environmental protection by increasing the recycling rate in daily life.
In this work, new multi-recycling options of TRU nuclides using PWR fuel assemblies comprised of MOX and FCM (Fully Ceramic Micro Encapsulated) fuels are suggested and neutronically analyzed. These options do not use a fully recycling of TRU but a partial recycling where TRUs from MOX fuels are recycled while the ones from FCM fuels are not recycled due to their high consumption rate resulted from high burnup. In particular, additional external TRU feed in MOX fuels for each cycle was considered to significantly increase the TRU consumption rate and the finally selected option is to use external TRU and enriched uranium feed as a makeup for the heavy metal consumption in MOX fuels. This hybrid external feeding of TRU and enriched uranium in MOX fuel was shown to be very effective in significantly increasing TRU consumption rate, maintaining long cycle length, and achieving negative void reactivity worth during recycling.

Adsorption of cationic polyacrylamide dry strength resins onto the surface of papermaking fibers and fines is critical for their effective utilization. Since dry strength resins are frequently employed when recycled fibers containing a great deal of fines are used as a raw material, their adsorption characteristic onto the recycled fiber fines is of great importance. In this study, effects of recycling on adsorption characteristics of cationic polyacrylamide onto primary and secondary fines were examined. Never dried bleached hardwood kraft pulp was beaten and dried for recycling. In each recycling step the adsorption characteristic of a cationic PAM onto primary and secondary fines was evaluated by kjeldahl nitrogen analysis method. The influence of recycling on water retention value and carboxyl content along with the sheet density and tensile strength was examined. Secondary fines of never dried pulp adsorbed twice as much of C-PAM as the primary fines, however, the adsorption capacity of the secondary fines decreased rapidly during the course of recycling and showed lower adsorption capacily than primary fines.
In our country, most of the wood resources are imported. We faced a continuous rising of wood price by export country's some conditions and excess rising of transport charge, also a shortage of structural size members. In these situation, recycling or reuse of wood residues and wastes under wood processing industry, building construction and demolition is not a option but a prerequisite. In our country, there is a dearth of data on recycling or reuse of wood residues and wastes, so the investigation on the necessity of recycling or reuse of wood residues and wastes was conducted by using the foreign data and documents. First of all, fields and actual conditions for the domestic wood processing industry were surveyed. Then, kinds and signification of wood residues and wastes were organized. Later, the necessity and the signification of recycling or reuse of wood residues were investigated, and postulations for effective recycling and reuse were suggested. Above all, the necessity of grading standards for reuse or recycling and some important consideration for developing grading standards were emphasized. At last, foreign research tendencies and some applications on recycling or reuse of wood residues and wastes were supplemented.
