  • 본 논문은 symmetric balance incomplete block design(BIBD) code의 BER=$10^{-9}$을 만족하는 spectral efficiency를 구하였다. 이 계산 결과 effective power가 큰 경우 ($P_{sr}=-10$ dBm)는 m=2로 고정시키고 q값을 변화시키는 ideal BIBD code구성이 효율적이었다. 이와 반대로 effective power가 작은 경우 ($P_{sr}=-25$ dBm)는 ideal BIBD code 구성 보다는 q > 2인 값을 취하고 m값을 변화시키는 설계가 더 효율적임을 알 수 있었다.

Effects of Asset Diversification and Human Capital Efficiency on Bank Performance: Evidence from Asian Countries

  • This study seeks to determine if the efficiency of bank human resources, as played by human capital, impacts the performance and diversification of banks. This study uses secondary data from data obtained from 385 commercial banks in 33 countries in Asia during the 2010-2020 period with the diversification analysis method. We use the Z-score to measure the amount of standard deviation that must be from earnings (ROAA). We examined it using the Tobit regression technique. According to the regression estimation results, human capital has a significant role in the performance and effective diversification of Asian banks. The human capital efficiency coefficient (HCE) is significantly negative with the cost-to-income ratio (CTIR) and significantly positive with Profitability, Financial Stability, and cost efficiency score. The level of efficiency of human resources has an effective role in increasing human capital which has an impact on bank diversification and performance. The development of human resources in a human capital framework plays an important role in the diversification and improvement of bank performance. Human capital has a significant role in the performance and effective diversification of Asian banks. The level of efficiency of human resources has an effective role in increasing human capital which has an impact on bank diversification and performance.

  • 장기 성층 온수 저장조 내의 중간 경계면에서 전달되는 열량을 예측하기 위하여 이론식을 유도 확립하고 이론적인 축열효율을 구하였다. 그리고 이론 축열효율값과 비교 고찰하기 위하여 여러 실험 조건을 통한 실제 축열효율을 구하였고, 저장조 내의 중간 경계면에서 일어나는 혼합정도를 효과적으로 해석하기 위하여 유효 열확산 계수를 정량화하였다. 중간 경계면에서 열전도에 의한 손실이 일회 충수 시간이 짧을수록 즉, Pe 수가 증가할 수록 많이 발생함을 알았다.

  • Vortical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser(VCSEL)는 in-plane 형태의 레이저와는 달리 여러 층의 distributed Bragg reflector(DBR) mirror를 반사 면으로 사용하기 때문에 광출력이나 미분양자효율(differential quantum efficiency)을 계산하는 데에 많은 어려움이 따른다. 이러한 이유로 광출력, 광출력 비 및 미분양자효율 등의 성능 지수를 계산하는 방법으로 유효 공진기 모델과 전달행렬 방법(transfer matrix method) 등이 사용되고 있다. 유효 공진기 모델은 반사율 및 문턱이득을 계산하는 데에는 적합하지만 광출력, 광출력 비 및 외부양자효율을 계산하는 데에는 오차를 보인다. 그 이유는 유효 공진기 모델이 금속 전극 개구부 바로 아래 GaAs 층에서의 빛의 흡수는 고려하지 못하기 때문이다. 이 논문에서는 유효 공진기 모델로부터 구한 성능 지수 값들을 전달행렬 방법으로부터 구한 값들과 비교ㆍ검토하여, 유효 공진기 모델의 타당성에 대하여 살펴보고 전달행렬 방법의 유용성을 재확인하였다.

저층 트롤선의 유효마력 산정에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on the estimating effective horse power of a bottom trawl ship)

  • In order to estimate the effective horse power(EHP) in towing net of a bottom trawl ship, the ship's resistance was calculated by using a series data of Yamagata and Wigley formula. Also the effective horse power for a ship(EHPs) was estimated versus the ship speed in sailing and the propulsive efficiency was calculated with the brake horse power and the effective horse power. Then the effective horse power for a ship and a trawl net were estimated in the application of the propulsive efficiency in towing net. The total effective horse power($EHP_T$) was average 187.6kW and the effective horse power for a 1.awl net($EHP_n$) was average 176.7kW at a smooth sea state in towing net. The ratio of $EHP_n$ to $EHP_T$ was about 94.0% and the value was higher slightly than was already informed at a smooth sea state. The power for keeping up a townet speed was required more about 20% of a maximum continuous power at a rather rough sea state than a smooth sea state. In the future, if the residual resistance is considered with a sea state, $EHP_n$ will be estimated more correctly Also the data of EHP estimated by this method will be used as the basic data to design a trawl net.

  • Effective machine capacity is affected by the physical and geometrical conditions of the fields. In the small and scattered farmland structure field efficiency is greatly influenced by plot geometry. In this paper, a method for estimating field efficiency and effective machine capacity was developed . The developed method was applied to Korean paddy cultivation. Various time elements related to farm operations for small and scattered plots are discussed in this paper . Available working time is divided into two parts, viz. the preparation time for machine operation and actual working time. Two kinds of machine efficiencies, namely , Machine Efficiency 1, applicable on a single large plot or set of well consolidated plots ; and Machine Efficiency 2, applicable on small and scattered multiple plots, are considered. Based assumptions made and steps followed to construct the model are discussed. Effective capacity of each machine based on different plot geometries are calculated y the model. Machine efficiency on a single plot increases with increase in the dimension of longer side of the plot . Low speed, low theoretical capacity machines have higher machine efficiency which is only slightly influenced by plot geometry. As plot geometry is improved , the machine efficiency of high speed, high capacity machines increases rapidly. The effects of short side length and plot size on machine efficiency on a single plot depend on the type of farm operation. For a particular plot shape, as plot size increases, machine efficiency on multiple plots increases rapidly. The effects of consolidation on machine efficiency is highly significant if the plot size is small and/or machine size is large.

  • Recently, the assessment of a bank efficiency focusing on its branches has been conceived as important in developing a competitive strategy. DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) model can be employed as an effective analysis model for such an assessment. Therefore, this paper proposes an analysis process using DEA model to conduct an efficiency assessment of bank branches. The proposed process includes a segmentation of branches considering their competitive environment and strategy for target market : this approach can help to develop effective strategies for each group of branches. The proposed DEA model can analyze efficiency in terms of not only cost but also marketing. Finally, a real case is analyzed, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed model and process.

  • Recently, greenhouse effect by $CO_2$ gas emitted by use of fossil fuel causes earth environmental problem. As a countermeasure of the global warming. micro hydropower under 100kW becomes the focus of attention for its clean and renewable energy sources. Newly developed micro positive displacement hydraulic turbine shows high efficiency and good applicability for the micro hydropoewer. The purpose of this study is to clarify the influence of leakage loss and effective head on the performance of the positive displacement hydraulic turbine for the further improvement of the turbine performance. The results show that the turbine. with a smaller side clearance. has much higher efficiency than that with bigger side clearance and it can sustain the high efficiency under the wider range of operation conditions. The turbine torque is proportional to the effective head and independent of the flow rate. The leakage is also dependent on the effective head but nearly independent of the flow rate.

  • Photovoltaic technology has been intensively developed as one of the most powerful renewable energies, replacing a fossil fuel such as coal and petroleum. Every country in the world has emphasized on development of photovoltaic technology and our government has invested heavily in low cost and high efficiency. Korea institute of industrial technology (KITECH) has lastingly constructed PV R&D infra for development of cost-effective and high efficiency solar cells as well as support of commercialization in PV's small and medium enterprises. In this paper, we introduce the next generation PV R&D and infra in KITECH.

연안선박의 선수부 개조에 의한 에너지 효율 성능 분석 (Assessment on the Energy Efficiency Performance by the Fore-body Retrofit of the Coastline)

  • 본 논문의 주 목적은 기존선형과 저항을 최소화하는 최적선형에 대한 에너지효율 성능을 평가하는 것이다. 설계 흘수와 설계 선속을 고려하여 대상선박의 선수부 형상을 검토하였다. 실제 운항 상태에서 대상선박의 저항성능을 평가하였다. 상용 전산유체역학(CFD) 코드와 수조 모형시험 자료는 유효마력 평가를 위해 사용되었다. 실제 운항 상태를 고려하여 최소저항을 가지는 최적선형을 제시하였다. 기존선형과 최적선형에 대하여 3가지 선속에서 유효마력을 추정하였다. 최적선형의 저항성능은 기존선형과 비교하여 볼 때 설계속도(12노트)에서 약 6 % 향상된 결과를 보여 주었다. 준추진효율 계수(ETAD, ${\eta}_D$)는 모형시험 자료를 활용하였다. 에너지 효율 성능은 년간 운항일수, 벙커C유 가격, 1일 연료사용량 그리고 연료소비계수를 바탕으로 작성되었다. 최적선형의 에너지 효율 성능은 기존선형과 비교하였을 때 12노트에서 연간 약 3천만원 절약된 결과를 보여 주었다.
