  • The target of this paper is the development of Web-based monitoring & control system which is for effective and economic management of mold manufacturing process. This system has three module; G-code Control, Monitoring Module and Result analysis module. Also, as the environment of development is based on internet, this system which is possible to the remote site management of manufacturing process works on Web. To be possible to control the manufacturing monitoring by client, each module is made ActiveX control and is based on socket communication. This system makes the foundation which is possible to manage the mold manufacturing process efficiently from remote site by matching real-time monitoring with manufacturing process in factory using G-code control and displaying the result of manufacturing using Ch-CGI.

  • Plastic microlenses play an important role in reducing the size, weight, and the cost of the systems in the fields of optical data storage and optical communication. In the present study, plastic microlens arrays were fabricated using micro-compression molding process. The design and fabrication procedures for mold insert were simplified by using silicon instead of metal. A simple but effective micro compression molding process, which uses polymer powder, were developed for microlens fabrication. The governing process parameters were temperature and pressure histories and the micromolding process was controlled such that the various defects developing during molding process were minimized. The radius and magnification ratio of the fabricated microlens were $125{\mu}m$ and over 3.0, respectively.

  • Networked Control System (NCS) has evolved in the past decade through the advances in communication technology. The problems involved in NCS are broadly classified into two categories namely network issues due to network and control performance due to system network. The network problems are related to bandwidth allocation, scheduling and network security, and the control problems deal with stability analysis and delay compensation. Various delays with variable length occur due to sharing a common network medium. Though most delays are very less and mostly neglected, the network induced delay is significant. It occurs when sensors, actuators, and controllers exchange data packet across the communication network. Networked induced delay arises from sensor to controller and controller to actuator. This paper presents an adaptive delay compensation process for efficient control. Though Smith predictor has been commonly used as dead time compensators, it is not adaptive to match with the stochastic behavior of network characteristics. Time delay adaptive compensation gives an effective control to solve dead time, and creates a virtual environment using the plant model and computed delay which is used to compensate the effect of delay. This approach is simulated using TrueTime simulator that is a Matlab Simulink based simulator facilitates co-simulation of controller task execution in real-time kernels, network transmissions and continuous plant dynamics for NCS. The simulation result is analyzed, and it is confirmed that this control provides good performance.

  • Living Lab is one of open movements regarding social innovation, which mainly utilizes scientific technology to improve local residents' life value. Even though various attempts have been made, Living Lab projects that deal with actual life-related problems of local communities are not sufficiently being made. This study aims at organizing existing Living Lab studies and to draw political issues in perspective of solving regional problems and developing local communities. Above all, policies should be proceeded in a way that fully understands and reflects local problem since communication with local residents or end-users will be increased. It is required to support certain products or solution development that fits specific local situation based on their resource and demands. In addition, local small businesses or start-up companies should be given opportunities to conduct experiment and revise new technology, product or service on the spot. It would be a useful example to utilize ICT technology and contents such as local cable TV network, for Living Lab. Living Lab can establish itself as an effective reformation process only if it remains to function for the sake of solving issues of local community and residents. Practical undertones would be able to be obtained once this exploratory study turns into empirical case study.

  • This paper presents a wide band, fine-resolution digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) with an on-chip 3-D solenoid inductor using the 0.13 ${\mu}m$ digital CMOS process. The on-chip solenoid inductor is vertically constructed by using Metal and Via layers with a horizontal scalability. Compared to a spiral inductor, it has the advantage of occupying a small area and this is due to its 3-D structure. To control the frequency of the DCO, active capacitor and active inductor are tuned digitally. To cover the wide tuning range, a three-step coarse tuning scheme is used. In addition, the DCO gain needs to be calibrated digitally to compensate for gain variations. The DCO with solenoid inductor is fabricated in 0.13 ${\mu}m$ process and the die area of the solenoid inductor is 0.013 $mm^2$. The DCO tuning range is about 54 % at 4.1 GHz, and the power consumption is 6.6 mW from a 1.2 V supply voltage. An effective frequency resolution is 0.14 kHz. The measured phase noise of the DCO output at 5.195 GHz is -110.61 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset.

  • Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) are widely used as surge protectors for communication applications due to their small internal capacitance. In these days, however, they are mostly used in combined configurations, because the activation voltage required to initiate the discharge process in the GDTs for sufficient amount of time can be large enough to damage surge-sensitive protected circuits. For GDTs with a considerably high initial over-voltage value, we should limit the peak voltage using a TVS or filter. As for ZnO varistors, even though their performance for voltage restriction is excellent their applications in high-frequency communication circuits have been limited because of higher internal capacitance when compared to the GDTs. In order to develop a surge protector for communication applications by taking advantages of these two devices, we built a combination circuit that connects a GDT and a ZnO varistor along with a choke coil in common and differential modes. We describe how the applied SPDs operate in protection process steps with the actual data obtained from the residual voltage measurements at each step. The experiment results show that the surge voltage restriction with the choke coil is more effective in differential mode than in common mode.

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the effects of communication styles and stress coping on college adaptation in nursing students. Methods: The data was collected by questionnaires from 180 nursing students in a university in Gyeongsan, Korea. The data were analyzed with the SPSS/Win 23.0 program, using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and multiple logistic regression. Results: A positive correlation was found for college adaptation with a functional communication pattern such as leveling stance (r=.36, p<.001) and stress coping (r=.39, p<.001). With more using of functional communication and with higher level of active coping of stress coping, nursing students appeared to more successfully adaptation to college life. It was also found that an explanatory power for college adaptation of these factors was 29.8% (F=20.01, p<.001). Conclusion: The study results indicate that it is necessary to develop various programs that can improve effective communication and active coping of stress coping of nursing students in order to enhance the adaptation process to college life.

  • In tile wireless communication networks although the modulation and demodulation structure with proposed BOWLIS algorithm is a little confusing but we certified that it is fit structure in fast operation processing and high speed wireless LAM system that is more strong on frequence and electro magnetic interference because it process the inputted data within 2.8Us that is faster 0.4Us than 3.2Us in standard form. Also we certified that in the sigtlt of consuming power it is better than pipe-lined structure because of reducing the processing step to 4.
