임피던스 관계 행렬을 이용한 고집적 센서 어레이의 임피던스 분석에 관한 연구 (Impedance Analysis of High Integrated Sensor Array Using Impedance Relation Matrix)

  • 본 논문에서는 복수개의 단자를 가지는 고집적 센서 어레이의 임피던스 분석을 위한 임피던스 관계 행렬을 제안한다. 복수의 단자 전압과 전류간의 선형 관계는 임피던스 관계 행렬로 표현되고 이 행렬을 이용하면 임의의 단자간의 임피던스를 간편하게 구할 수 있다. 또한 2-port 임피던스 네트워크에 대해서도 임피던스 관계 행렬을 정의하여 구할 수 있다. 복잡한 임피던스 네트워크를 여러 개의 2-port 임피던스 네트워크로 분할하고 각각의 부 네트워크는 이 표현 관계에 의해 정의되고 해석할 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 많은 수의 임피던스 요소를 가지는 센서 어레이의 임피던스를 해석하는데 간편하고도 효과적으로 사용될 수 있고 이를 입증하는 예제를 제시한다.

Advances and challenges in impedance-based structural health monitoring

  • Impedance-based damage detection method has been known as an innovative tool with various successful implementations for structural health monitoring of civil structures. To monitor the local critical area of a structure, the impedance-based method utilizes the high-frequency impedance responses sensed by piezoelectric sensors as the local dynamic features. In this paper, current advances and future challenges of the impedance-based structural health monitoring are presented. Firstly, theoretical background of the impedance-based method is outlined. Next, an overview is given to recent advances in the wireless impedance sensor nodes, the interfacial impedance sensing devices, and the temperature-effect compensation algorithms. Various research works on these topics are reviewed to share up-to-date information on research activities and implementations of the impedance-based technique. Finally, future research challenges of the technique are discussed including the applicability of wireless sensing technology, the predetermination of effective frequency bands, the sensing region of impedance responses, the robust compensation of noise and temperature effects, the quantification of damage severity, and long-term durability of sensors.

임피던스 로울러의 테이프 주행계에 대한 제진효과 분석 (The Analysis of the Vibration Reduction Effect of the Impedance Roller in Tape Transport System)

  • The longitudinal vibration of the tape in the tape transport system influences the performance of the nagnetic tape-recording system. Generally it is controlled by a passive method with impedance roller which is easy to implement and cost-effective. Therefore the effect of the impedance roller in reducing the tape vibration was analyzed in this paper. The practical tape transport system was modelled mathematically as a mass-spring system. Both simulation and experimental study were carried out in order to show the vibration reduction effect of the impedance roller.

  • The impedance characteristics of planar ICP have been measured and compared with the theoretical results obtained by the field equation. The resistance of the total impedance had a maximum point and the inductance decreased monotonically as the electron density increased from $2.5{\times}10^{10}cm^{-3}$ to $7{\times}10^{11}cm^{-3}$ and the Pressure from 1mT to 50mT. The impedance characteristics were also dependent on the profile of the electron density. The effective collision frequency, ${\nu}_{eff}$ was $9.0{\times}10^6Hz$ at 5mT and $.5{\times}10^7Hz$ at 100mT. The effective collision frequency at 5mT was not so different from that at 100mT and it is doe to the reduction of the discharge channel cross-section at high pressure. The estimated effective collision frequency from the simulation data was of the same order as the measured one.

  • This paper presents the transient behaviors of grounding system impedance against lighting impulse currents. The dynamic characteristics of the deeply driven ground rod and grounding grid subjected to the impulse current with various rise time were investigated. It was found that the transient ground impedance strongly depends on the configuration and size of grounding electrodes and the shapes of impulse currents, and the inductance of grounding electrodes has a significant affect on the transient ground impedance of grounding system in the short time domain.

  • To make a practical application of a micro-strain sensors with ultrahigh sensitivity, a strain on electrical properties of micro-patterned amorphous (Fe\ulcornerco\ulcorner)\ulcornerSi\ulcornerB\ulcorner films had influenced on the impedance over frequency range from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. Reflecting excellent magnetomachanical couping properties of films, high frequency impedance was subject to change sensitively by a strain : a change in impe-dance of 39% was observed at 200 MHz applied a strain of 224$\times$10\ulcorner. To determine a optimum shape of micro-patterned films, film impedance was analyzed by virtue of its constitutive components of resis-tance and reactance. Result was shown that reduction of the resistance term(hence increase of resultant reactance term) of impedance is more effective for enhancing the strain sensitivity of films at relatively low frequency range.

  • This paper presents the feasibility of an impedance-based damage detection technique using piezoelectric (PZT) transducers for civil infrastructures such as steel bridges. The impedance-based damage detection method is based on monitoring the changes in the electrical impedance. Those changes in the electrical impedance are due to the electro-mechanical coupling property of the piezoelectric material and structure. An effective integrated structural health monitoring system must include a statistical process of damage detection that is automated and real time assessment of damage in the structure. Once measured, damage sensitive features from this impedance change can be statistically quantified for various damage cases. The results of the experimental study on three kinds of structural members show that cracks or loosened bolts/nuts near the PZT sensors may be effectively detected by monitoring the shifts of the resonant frequencies. The root mean square (RMS) deviations of impedance functions between before and after damages were also considered as a damage indicator. The subsequent statistical methods using the impedance signature of the PZT sensors were investigated.

  • This paper deals with the experimental results of the frequency-dependent resultant ground impedance of vertical ground electrodes installed with a regular n-polygon. In order to propose an effective method of installing the vertically-driven multiple ground electrodes used to obtain the low ground impedance, the resultant ground impedance of ground electrodes installed with a regular n-polygon were measured as functions of the number of ground electrodes and the frequency of test currents and the results were discussed based on the potential interferences among ground electrodes. As a consequence, the effect of potential interference on the resultant ground impedance of vertical ground electrodes is frequency-dependent and it is significant in the low frequency of a few hundreds [Hz]. The resultant ground impedance of multiple vertical ground electrodes is not decreased in linearly proportion to the number of ground electrodes due to the overlapped potential interferences. Also the distributed-parameter circuit model considering the potential interference, the frequency-dependent relative permittivity and resistivity of soil was proposed. The simulated results of the frequency-dependent resultant ground impedance of multiple vertical ground electrodes are in good agreement with the measured data.

경락 임피던스 측정 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of Meridian Impedance Measurement System)

  • Meridian which used as the basic theory of acupuncture treatment, is an important functional connection system of acupuncture point in oriental medicine. Yangdorak and EAV have lack of precision because of using 2-electrode method, occurring high non-uniformed current density and electrode contact status on electrode placement spot. Therefore we implemented a meridian impedance measurement system for measuring meridian impedance using 4-electrode method. In order to confirm the precision of developed system, we made an constant current characteristic experiment using standard resistor. As a results of clinical study with 18 subjects, the meridian impedance showed that reproductivity and repeatability of HT7 acupuncture point are $0.515[k{\Omega}]{\pm}0.000$(mean${\pm}$standard deviation) and $0.515[k{\Omega}]{\pm}0.002$, respectively. And reproductivity and repeatability of PC7 are $0.521[k{\Omega}]{\pm}0.000$ and $0.521[{\Omega}]{\pm}0.001$ respectively. The proposed system was stable and reliable. Therefore this study proved AC impedance method to valid in measuring meridian impedance, and also verified precision and repeatability of the proposed meridian impedance measurement system. The proposed system will serve as more effective method of measuring meridian phenomena as a bioelectric signal in clinical practice.

흡음재의 적절한 위치 및 임피던스 선정을 통한 효율적인 실내 소음 제어 (Good Choice of Positions and Impedances of Absorptive Materials for Effective Interior Noise Control)

  • Some basic guidelines for changing non-uniform boundary condition in an acoustically small cavity are presented. In this paper, modal summation technique is used to represent inside sound field. From this formulation, corner effect is defined and proposed. The corner in a cavity is good position for changing boundary condition effectively. Impedance circle with same absorption coefficient is defined to find appropriate impedance of absorptive material for better noise control performance.
