The purpose of this study is to develop learning modules for environmental education using goal-based scenarios and to examine their pedagogical benefits at the elementary educational level. To enhance environmental knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behavior, this research developed learning modules relevant to three sub-dimensions of environmental education: education about environment, education in environment, and education for environment. In particular, this study provided useful educational strategies based on students' everyday lives. The developed modules consisted of three parts: 1) acquiring knowledge concerning the cause of global warming, 2) practicing and internalizing environmental knowledge in students' everyday lives, and 3) extending and disseminating environmental knowledge and awareness to other people. After applying the modules, the students acquired knowledge regarding the causes of global warming through discussions with their peers, and furthermore, exercised pro-environmental behaviors in their everyday lives. Moreover, the participants created UCC to urge other people to act for environment.

The purpose of this research was to find the solution of problems originated from financial illiteracy. To accomplish this task, the content which supposed to be taught in the area of personal finance in the Elementary, Middle and High School curricular were identified based on the previous research. Then, the personal finance content taught in public education system were analyzed rising content analysis of over 100 text books related to Personal finance education, such as Home Economics, Social Science, Economics, and Human Life Sciences, etc. Based on the results, followings were concluded. In spite of the fact that only few personal financial education topics were included in the 7th Education Curriculum, many topics taught in the subject of Social Science were duplicated in the Home Economics Curricular. To accomplish the ultimate goal of personal financial education, an introduction of the new course(Personal Finance) in the regular curriculum like U.S. is strongly recommended.

Since 2018, the level of informatics education that is mandatory in junior high schools depends on the subject matter expertise of Informatics & Computer teachers. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether secondary teacher training institutes provide curriculum that guarantees the subjectivity of Informatics & Computer teachers. In order to achieve the goal, this study first compares curriculum courses for educating Informatics & Computer teachers of Korea secondary teacher training institutes with subjects based on the content system of J07-CS, the informatics education in Japan. Second, we compare the basic subjects offered by the Ministry of Education with the vocational subjects. Third, we analyzed the basic subjects of each university. As a result of the study, the number of informatics-related courses opened by Korean secondary teacher training institutions was insufficient compared to the number of subjects in J07-CS. Even though the standard of comparison was limited to basic subjects, the content elements were insufficient, and the ratio of the basic subjects of each university was low. In order to achieve the goal of informatics education from 2018, it is urgent to improve the curriculum of secondary education teachers.

The purpose of this study was to design an interactive multimedia nutrition education program for preschoolers. Computer technology provides the opportunity to explore new and creative methods of delivering nutrition education to pre-schoolers. If this method is effective, more preschoolers can be reached with accurate and consistent nutrition education with less time and teaching staff. This program is a computer-based multimedia nutrition education program for pre-schoolers based on the Dick and Carey (Dick & Carey 2001) model of instructional design which includes analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The overall instructional goal was based on the needs of the target population. The needs assessment was a self-administered survey distributed to 1,426 parents of preschoolers, focusing on the need for preschoolers' nutrition education. The results of the survey indicated that parents wanted their children to learn reasons for eating nutritious food. Therefore, a program titled 'Nutrition Exploration' was developed with the instructional goal of teaching preschoolers the 5 Food Groups. To achieve this goal, the preschoolers were engaged in a game. They could earn colored jewels by completing the game in five sessions. The story line was that people living in a peaceful kingdom become sick after they lose the jewels. The learner takes an adventurous journey through five different countries to retrieve the jewels. These countries are 'Giwoon nahrah' (foods containing carbohydrates, such as rice and potatoes), 'Sangsang nahrah' (foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals, such as vegetables and fruits), 'Sooksook nahrah' (calcium-con-taming products such as milk), 'Teunteun nahrah' (protein-containing foods such as meat and fish) , and 'Gakeum nahrah' (products with high sugar and fat content, such as instant foods and soda). The learner who obtains five jewels in five different countries can save the kingdom. For the program to be effective and efficient, the multimedia had to be easy for the preschooler to enter, use, and exit. The verbal instructions enhanced child autonomy, and the program was developmentally appropriate so that the young child could easily manipulate the software. This research provides the basis for the continued development of computer-based nutrition education materials.

Recently, not only development of curriculum associated directly with job, the development of new education model is in great need. So, the purpose of this study is to develop the instructional design guideline utilizing goal-based scenario(GBS) for college students who major in culinary arts. First, to achieve this goal, we recognized the 7 core elements(learning goal, mission, cover story, role activity, scenario operating, resource, feedback) composing GBS through literature review and case study. Second, we drew a conclusion about the problem and guideline for traditional culinary practice course by conducting inspection about culinary practice environment and needs with professors who are teaching culinary arts. Third, we applied the instructional design guideline for culinary practice to regular classes according to GBS's factors, and then we did formative evaluation with content experts and educational technology expert. Finally, we designed the final instructional design guideline for culinary practice by modifying early model reflected the result of formative evaluation. The results of this study are as following. First, when we applied GBS to culinary practice, professors have to focus on process of materialization by developing easy scenario to students. Also, they have to prepare the class circumstance to feel about sense of realism in advance. Second, to give a conjugally new skill at working, professors's effort is important. culinary practice education at college has responsibility to carry out the vocational training that has competitiveness and difference with labor market's needs. Therefore, it is necessary for us to develop the teaching and learning model for culinary practice which is suitable for major based on the manpower demand for industry without causing job mismatch from demand for industry.

The purpose of this study was to conceptualize the idea of engineering between science and technology, to classify the types of K-9 engineering education, and to develop content standards for it. The primary goal for an engineer is to design, create, and produce new tools, machines, and systems for practical means of human by exploiting technology and science. Engineering is the professional art of using technology, and the practical application of science and mathematics to achieve the optimum conversion of the resources of nature for the benefit of humankind. We reviewed the literatures and documents for background research, had surveys, and interviewed with engineers and educators to set the frame of the content standards for K-9 Engineering education and to construct standards for each sub-component. We developed and suggested the content standards for K-9 engineering education by examining and revising it.

There were several documents that might reflect the great concern on the education of psychosomatic medicine in medical school from the 1960s. But the hour of class and proportion of psychosomatic medicine have been quite small among the total lecture time of psychiatry. Notwithstanding the importance of biopsychosocial perspective in practice and research there have been no agreement on the goal and content of teaching psychosomatic medicine in the medical school curriculum. Consultation-liaison psychiatric activity in the hospital were currently under-developed and educational content and process were not systematic. We should have established the goal of psychosomatic education in the medical school that includes making doctor who could not only cure disease but also care the ill patients. And we should develop the curriculum that covers essential area of psychosomatic medicine and checking system to monitor the process of education. With the continuance of psychosomatic perspectives from medical school education to clinical subspecialty we can make progress in this field.

With a theme of the ‘Environmental Education in Middle Schools’ and ‘Open Education’, this study has been aimed to suggest the improvements for environmental education through ‘Open Education’, which is nowadays emphasized in Korea. This study suggests that the following should be concluded in the syllabic for the environmental education; the environmental problems and their relations to the environments] education, the establishment of the model of environmental education system, the goal of environmental education and its characteristics, the analysis of environment-related subjects' contents, the teaching-learning methods for environmental education, and the applications of ‘Open Education’ to the environmental education. This study has found that the ‘Open Education’ would play a great role in increasing the effect of the environmental education, and thus it strongly recommends, as a necessity, that teaching skills and text for it should be developed as soon as possible.

The practical learning experience is the heart of nursing's professional program of study, have been the most widely disscussed and yet the least studied of all nursing education activities. The major goal of practical learning experience is to provide opportunities in realistic work settings that permit the nursing student to develop the knowledge, skill It attitudes of a beginning practitioner. The purpose of this study is to identify the experience of practical learning in the children's rehabilitation center by nursing students, to provide basic information for developing practical learning in pediatric nursing education. The study design was a descriptive study. Data were collected 74 cases of journaling which came from senior nursing students who cared for the handicapped children in P rehabilitation center from 24, August, 1997 to 29, Decmber, 29, 1998. The collected data were analyzed using the content analysis by Kim & Lee(1986), Kim(1987). The purpose of this study is to introduce Korean teachers and researchers ESL standards for TESOL students developed by TESOL association in 1997. The standards were designed to be useful for teachers and other educators who want to incorporate them in their educational programs for ESOL students in mainly the USA. These standards are important because they articulate the English language development needs of ESL learners and provide directions to educators on how to fulfill the needs of ESL students. Also. they emphasize the major role of language in the attainment of other content area standards. In this paper the author introduced not only the theoretical backgrounds. construct. meaning of the standards, and the ways of implementation but also their lessons to our Korean situation.
