Editors of medieval texts that are translated from other languages face difficulties when the translation differs significantly from the original. Are the differences unintended, the result of misunderstanding and mistranslation\ulcorner Or do they proceed from a conscious decision on the translator's part to change the meaning of the original\ulcorner Is it possible to be sure one knows the difference\ulcorner This paper discusses three test cases encountered in preparing for the Early English Text Society a critical edition of Sidrak and Bokkus, the fifteenth-century English verse translation of the Old French prose book of knowledge, Le livre de Sidrac.

본 연구에서는 마그네슘 합금 AZ91D를 소재로 18인치 휠을 개발하고 동일사양의 알루미늄 휠과 해외 시판중인 마그네슘 휠과 기계적인 성질을 비교하였다. 저압주조 방식에 의해 18인치 마그네슘 휠 시제품을 제작하여 동일 사양의 알루미늄 휠 대비 26% 의 경량화를 이룩하였고, 신판 마그네슘 휠 대비 동등 수준의 연신율, 인장강도, 경도를 달성하였다. 향 후 주조와 열처리 공정 개선을 통해 항복강도 향상이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between personality and color preference, thereby to suggest a personality profile on the basis of colors selected for children's preference. Materias used to determine the degree of color preference were 24 color papers which were developed and described in a previous research by Lee & Lee. The Instrument used ot determine children's personality was Burks' Behavior Rating Scales-Preschool and Kindergarten Edition. Subjects wee 70 3-, 4- and 5- year old children attending the Y Child Development research institute. Data were analyzed with SPSS using mainly F-test and Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Results showed that among 24 colors used, white, violet, sapphire, sky blue, blue, green yellow, pink, green, red, gold, purple, van dyke brown, blue, green, silver were found to be significantly related to persionality. Judging from this results, white and violet seemed to be most predictive colors to personality. Personality aspects significantly related to specific colors were discussed and a profile of personality based on color preference were developed.

본 논문에서는 지반공학 소식 창간호에 게제된 Carsington 댐의 파괴에 관하여 고찰하였으며, 해석 결과에 근거하여 댐 파괴요인과 그 영향에 관하여 논술하였다. 본 해석에서는 파괴후의 현장조사에서 나타난 황색점토층 내에 이미 존재하던 전단변위에 대한 영향과 이 연약점토층을 통과하는 파괴면의 진행성 파괴상황을 중점적으로 분석하였다. 가능한 현장조건을 대표하는 수치로 변화시켜 각 조건별 안전도 계산치를 비교하고, 댐 파괴시의 평균강도를 가장 잘 대표하는 현장 지반조건을 평가하였다.

This report deals with the process of the finite element computation and the design of the particular example tunnel (the double track section tunnel for Line 5, 7, 8 of Seoul Subway). The finite element calculations are performed with the program MISES 3 was developed from Austria which have been used in Eroupe. The principles of mechanic and mathematic analysis for the program MISES 3 are based on "The Finite Element Method -3rd Edition" by O.C zienkiewicz. The calculations are approximate analysis method divide continuum into quadrilateral element and calculate deformation and stress, according to the force equations at the node of the element. On the calculation of under excavation, this is a very convenient method and able to calculate compounded structure with tunnel lining and surrounding materials. Although calculated under the same factor and conditions, the result is not same solution, according to the shape of mesh. Therefore , it is important that we collect the construction results of NATM on the spot and by comparing the results of the finite element method with the surveying results review the validity of analysis model.sis model.

A non-uniform 3-point ternary interpolatory subdivision scheme with variable subdivision weights is introduced. Its support is computed. The $C^0$ and $C^1$ convergence analysis are presented. To elevate its controllability, a modified edition is proposed. For every initial control point on the initial control polygon a shape weight is introduced. These weights can be used to control the shape of the corresponding subdivision curve easily and purposefully. The role of the initial shape weight is analyzed theoretically. The application of the presented schemes in designing smooth interpolatory curves and surfaces is discussed. In contrast to most conventional interpolatory subdivision scheme, the presented subdivision schemes have better locality. They can be used to generate $C^0$ or $C^1$ interpolatory subdivision curves or surfaces and control their shapes wholly or locally.

This study analyzed ecological elements of 140 nursery rhymes, stories, and plays in the $6^{th}$ edition of the Guide for Educational Activities and Materials for Kindergarten. The results show that 24 works(17.1%) have ecological elements. Content analysis of ecological elements in these works show works that deal with the side effects of environmental development(3 nursery stories), the cult of nature(1 nursery rhyme), recognition of the eco-cycle(2 nursery rhymes, 4 stories, 2 plays), dignity of life and recovery of human nature(12 nursery stories). On the basis of the results, children's literature containing ecological elements were suggested.

The paper discusses the nature of Knowledge Organization Systems (KOSs) and shows how these can support digital library users. It demonstrates processes related to integration of KOS like the Dewey Decimal Classification, $22^{nd}$ edition (DDC22) in DSpace software (http://www.dspace.org/) for organizing and retrieving (browsing and searching) scholarly objects. An attempt has been made to use the DDC22 available in Bengali language and highlights the required mechanisms for system-level integration. It may help a repository administrator to build an IDR (Institutional Digital Repository) integrated with SKOS-enabled multilingual subject access systems for supporting subject descriptors based indexing (DC.Subject metadata element), structured navigation (browsing) and efficient searching.

Despite a growing number of natural language processing shared-tasks dedicated to the use of Twitter data, there is currently no ad-hoc annotation tool for the purpose. During the 6th edition of Biomedical Linked Annotation Hackathon (BLAH), after a short review of 19 generic annotation tools, we adapted GATE and TextAE for annotating Twitter timelines. Although none of the tools reviewed allow the annotation of all information inherent of Twitter timelines, a few may be suitable provided the willingness by annotators to compromise on some functionality.

Scientific research is mostly published in English, regardless of the researcher's nationality. However, this growing practice impairs or hinders the comprehension of professionals who depend on the results of these studies to provide adequate care for their patients. We suggest that machine translation (MT) can be used as a way of providing useful translation for biomedical articles, even though the translation itself may not be fluent. To tackle possible mistranslation that can harm a patient, we resort to crowd-sourced validation of translations. We developed a prototype of MT validation and edition, where users can vote for that translation as valid, or suggest modifications (i.e., post-editing the MT). A glossary match system is also included, aiming at terminology consistency.
