The numerical procedure to analyze a non-steady 3-dimensional elastohydrodynamic lubrication on the cyclically loaded contact has been newly developed. The procedure was applied on the cam-roller contact of the valve mechanism for the marine diesel engine. Both the pressure distribution and the film thickness between the cam and roller follower were calculated for each time step of the whole cycle. The pressure spike is shown at the outlet of the roller edge and it is getting higher as the external load is increased. The film thicknesses in the result of the non-steady analysis have a tendency to increase compared to those in the result of the analysis with the assumption of steady state. Therefore, the surface roughness of the non-steady contact need not be limited below that of the steady contact of the equivalent operating conditions.

In this study, we developed a new carrier finger to prevent scratches in a sheet metal forming line. The developed carrier finger was designed to have a streamlined shape with a larger radius of curvature at the edges, as well as a smaller contact area. To evaluate the scratch alleviation effect, a sliding contact analysis and scratch test using the pin on a plate wear tester were conducted for both the old and new carrier fingers. The results show that, for both transverse and longitudinal movements of the strip, the newly designed carrier finger reduces both the friction and scratch depth by its streamlined shape, which decreases the pressure spike at the edge.

본 논문은 판재 성형을 위한 제관 라인의 판재 이송부에 장착되는 판재 누름키의 설계 개선에 관한 연구이다. 기존의 블록형 누름키가 판재의 종 방향 및 횡 방향 이송 과정에서 깊은 스크래치가 유발되는 것을 방지하기 위해 테이퍼진 롤러가 누름키 내부에 장착되어 가이드하도록 하는 테이퍼 롤러 누름키를 개발하였다. 이를 통해 판재의 종 방향 이송시 테이퍼 형상의 효과로 접촉부의 압력 스파이크를 저감시켜 판재의 스크래치 발생을 최소화하고 횡방향 이송시 미끄럼 접촉이 아닌 구름 접촉으로 유도하여 표면 스크래치를 원천적으로 방지할 수 있음을 스크래치 실험을 통해 그 효과를 확인하였다.

The effects of different doses of tramadol on analgesia and electroencephalographic (EEG) spectralparameters were compared in rats. Saline or tramadol 5, 10, 20 or 40 mg/kg was administered. The degree of analgesia was evaluated by tail-flick latency, and the degree of seizure was measured using numerical seizure score (NSS). Additionally, band powers, median power frequency and spectral edge frequency 95 were measured to quantify the EEG response. All doses of tramadol produced spike-wave discharge. Tramadol significantly and dose-dependently increased the analgesia, but these effects did not correspond with the changes in the EEG spectral parameters. NSS significantly increased in the Tramadol 20 and 40 mg/kg treatment groups compared to the Control and TRA5 groups, and two rats given 40 mg/kg had convulsions. In conclusion, tramadol dose-dependently increased the analgesic effect, and the 10 mg/kg dose appears to be a reliable clinical dose for analgesia in rats, but dose-dependent increases in analgesia and seizure severity did not correlate with EEG spectral parameters.

This article was intended as fundamental materials to recognize the current status of furniture hard ware in Korean market and to fix the identity of Korean furniture, by investigating and comparing the furniture hard ware used in the Joseon era and in modern times by type, function, shape and material. The analysis of furniture hard ware of the Joseon era and modern times from the view of functional aspects was oriented to the hard ware necessary to open and close the door & drawer on one side, and to that being attached to the main body of furniture not to scratch the wood by another wood on the other side, and from this the following conclusion was drawn. First of all, "Gwangdoojung" - a kind of spike- and metal decoration on the edge of the furniture disappeared, while the function-oriented hard wares have been diversified in modern times, from the perspective of the change of kinds. Second, the functional aspect of the furniture hard ware was emphasized in modern times than the Joseon era. In other words, the hard wares of the Joseon era came into view due to their strong appeal to decoration, whereas those of modern times were mostly hidden or moderated, keeping the function substantially. Third, the hard wares from the Joseon era were shown in concrete and detailed shape motivated by natural objects and furthermore even gloriously, but the modern hard wares are simple & basic geometry, from a formative point of view. Fourth, the material aspects present that the Joseon era's hard ware was mainly cast iron, whereas that of modern times shows the diversification from metal to even plastic. Finally, the recent trend in naming of the hard wares is the words of foreign origin. This resulted from that the foreign names of hard wares are valid also after import process in Korean market, so the domestic development of hard ware as the essential factor for the furniture design is urgently necessary to establish the identity of Korean modern furniture.
