One of the traffic problems has been caused by the illegal parking because of the lack of parking space. Especially, the illegal occupancy of the road near an intersection makes an serious reduction of road capacity. The current illegal parking and stop-prohibited areas have been designated for less than 5 meters from the edge or the corner of the 4-leg intersection. However, in reality, the cars parked at the place over 5 meters have had a significant impact on the intersection traffic. In addition, many variables such as intersection type, size, and service levels should be considered as factors which influence on the traffic condition at the intersection. It was assumed that through and right-turn traffic rate have a significant impact on the 4-leg intersection with the illegal parking or stop near it. This study tried to verify the impact through the simulation implementation with MOE and LOS. It shows a guideline to designate the parking or stop-prohibited area near the 4-leg intersection under various traffic conditions.
Development of modern agricultural machinery and accompanying agricultural development cause soil compaction and reduce growth by stressing roots. Kalanchoe pinnata was used to investigate the impact of stress on rooting and changes in plant growth and reproduction. K. pinnata forms somatic embryos capable of asexual reproduction at the edge of leaves. Impact of root pressurization of K. pinnata on somatic embryogenesis and organ differentiation according to external stress factors was investigated by using a high concentration of agar and this phenomenon was studied histologically. Agar concentration in culture media ranged from 0.5%-1.5% to induce a compression effect on roots. The stem and leaf of K. pinnata were subjected to a microtechnique process to study changes in tissue. In vivo, K. pinnata produced 2nd and 3rd plantlets at edges of leaves from lack of water and excessive lighting conditions. In in vitro culture studies, the lower the concentration of agar, the higher the population and the higher the biomass, but plantlet did not occur in leaf bends. Conversely, as concentration of agar increased, increase in the number of individuals was low. Plantlet development occurred only in agar 1.5% medium. The difference in agar concentration was a stressor in the root of K. pinnata, and thus the pattern of asexual reproduction changed from the division method in root to a plantlet generation in leaf. This suggests root pressurization may act as stress and change in the plant reproduction pattern.

Dry magnetic particle inspection(MPI) was performed to detect the surface defects of steel ingot cast billets. Magnetic properties of several materials were characterized by the measurement of the B-H hysteresis curve. The inspection results were evaluated in terms of the magnetizing current, temperature, and the amount of magnetic particles applied to billets. Magnetic flux leakage near the defect site of interest was measured and compared with the results of calculation by the finite element method in the case of direct magnetizing current. Direct and alternating magnetizing currents for materials were deduced by the comparison of the inspections. Results of the magnetic particle inspection by direct magnetizing current were compared with those of finite element method calculations, which were verified by measuring magnetic leakage flux above the surface and the surface defects of the material. For square rods, due to the geometrical effect, the magnetic flux density at the edges along the length of the rods was about 30% of that at the center of rod face for a sufficiently large direct magnetizing current, while it was about 70% for an alternating magnetizing current. Thus, an alternating magnetizing current generates rather uniform magnetic flux density over the rods, except for the region on the face across about 10 mm from the edge. The attraction of the magnetic particle by the magnetic leakage field was nearly independent of the surface temperature of the billets up to $150^{\circ}C$. However, the temperature should have been limited below $60^{\circ}C$ for an effective fixing of gathered magnetic particles to the billet surface using methylene chloride. We also found that the amount of applied magnetic particles tremendously affected the detection capability.

Processing LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data obtained from ALS (Airborne Laser Scanning) systems mainly involves organization and segmentation of the data for 3D object modeling and mapping purposes. The ALS systems are viable and becoming more mature technology in various applications. ALS technology requires complex integration of optics, opto-mechanics and electronics in the multi-sensor components, Le. data captured from GPS, INS and laser scanner. In this study, digital image processing techniques mainly were implemented to gray level coded image of the LiDAR data for building extraction and superstructures segmentation. One of the advantages to use gray level image is easy to apply various existing digital image processing algorithms. Gridding and quantization of the raw LiDAR data into limited gray level might introduce smoothing effect and loss of the detail information. However, smoothed surface data that are more suitable for surface patch segmentation and modeling could be obtained by the quantization of the height values. The building boundaries were precisely extracted by the robust edge detection operator and regularized with shape constraints. As for segmentation of the roof structures, basically region growing based and gap filling segmentation methods were implemented. The results present that various image processing methods are applicable to extract buildings and to segment surface patches of the superstructures on the roofs. Finally, conceptual methodology for extracting characteristic information to reconstruct roof shapes was proposed. Statistical and geometric properties were utilized to segment and model superstructures. The simulation results show that segmentation of the roof surface patches and modeling were possible with the proposed method.
Assessments of medical image was improved in accordance with development of medical imaging systems. One of them is edge method to determining MTF(Modulation Transfer Function) based on the Fujita method. Fujita was reduced sampling interval used slightly angulated slit to the direction of pixel array and composited finely sampled LSF to determine presampling MTF. In this study, we investigate the effect of sampling interval on the MTF under a digital imaging system by changing wire angle. The wire method was equivalent to the slit method except signal appearance. A Simens's MAMMOMAT Inspiration with $0.085{\times}0.085mm^2$ pixel size made by amorphous selenium was used and 96% accuracy on MTF in twice sampling interval compared with Fujita was obtained. However, three times of sampling interval showed 93% accuracy on 50% of MTF and 85% accuracy on 10% of MTF.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the possibility of automatic extraction of line feature from Satellite image. The first part reviews the relationship between spatial filtering and cartographic interpretation. The second part describes the principal operations of high frequency filters and their properties, the third part presents the result of filtering application to the SPOT Panchromatic image of the Chinju city. Some experimental results are given here indicating the high feasibility of the filtering technique. The results of the paper is summarized as follows: Firstly the good all-purposes filter dose not exist. Certain laplacian filter and Frei-chen filter were very sensitive to the noise and could not detect line features in our case. Secondly, summary filters and some other filters do an excellent job of identifying edges around urban objects. With the filtered image added to the original image, the interpretation is more easy. Thirdly, Compass gradient masks may be used to perform two-dimensional, discrete differentiation directional edge enhancement, however, in our case, the line featuring was not satisfactory. In general, the wide masks detect the broad edges and narrow masks are used to detect the sharper discontinuities. But, in our case, the difference between the $3{\times}3$ and $7{\times}7$ kernel filters are not remarkable. It may be due to the good spatial resolution of Spot scene. The filtering effect depends on local circumstance. Band or kernel size selection must be also considered. For the skillful geographical interpretation, we need to take account the more subtle qualitative information.

Especially in the case of a full form ship, the stability on course can be considered to become severest among 4 items of criteria in Interim Standards for Ship Maneuverability adopted by IMO in 1993. The purpose of this study is to find some ideas for the improvement of stability on course through changes in rudder area with reference to span distance. In this paper, we established the formula on the relation between the experimental constants relevant to rudder normal force and hydrodynamic derivatives of hull-propeller-rudder system. We carried out various kinds of captive model test relevant to rudder normal force etc., and evaluated hydrodynamic derivatives of hull-propeller-rudder system, and analyzed the stability on course with the parameter of changes in rudder area. Furthermore, we also discussed effects of changes in rudder area on maneuvering performance including stability on course, based on computer simulation. As a result, it is clarified that there is a possibility that stability on course may become bad through an increase of rudder area. The reason for the bad stability on course is that the void space between the upper edge of rudder and the lower part of stern overhang decreases. This space change exerts a great influence on straightening coefficient of incoming flow to rudder in maneuvering motion, which has close relation to stability on course.
This study was undertaken to assess the effect of growth on the lips. Not only does lip growth influence the stability of such orthodontic treatment; it also directly influence facial profile, in which the lips have an important part. An understanding of the growth of lips is thus central to a consideration of profile change in orthodontics. By analyzing the serial lateral cephalograms of 15 male and 15 female of 8 years old to 16 yaers old who have normal occlusion. The result of this study were summerized as follows; 1. The largest growth increments in the length of the lips was mod age of 14 in both sexes. 2. The thickness of lips showed lager value for the male than that of the female in the most age group. The lagest growth increments at A point was occured age of 14, while Ls, Li, B point decreased after the age of 10-11. 3. The largest increase in the interval between crest of lower lip and edge of upper incisors was occured between ages 9 and 11 in males. The interval decreased slightly from 8 to 16 years in females. 4. The nasolabial angle decreased slightly from 8 to 16 years in both sexes. 5. The mentolabial angle showed large variation.

The necessity for Super Leadership is emphasized especially in the industry-orientated era, where new revolutionary technologies are emerging and existing technologies are being advanced and maximized, to cultivate the potentials of the members and secure competitive superiority for the best management and creation. Therefore, in this research, the empirical analysis of the relationship between Super Leadership of small and medium enterprises and the business outcome was conducted. Research outcome states that, in order to create a sustainable business outcome, enterprises need to invest more in developing leaderships and in accordance with it, promote talent. In order to survive and sustain growth in the period of endless competition like today, it is concluded that it is imperative to establish a powerful Super Leadership that will endeavor to engage and maximize the competence of members of the organization.

In this paper, the results gained by applying many impingement models to the cylinder and flat plate were analyzed in comparison with the experimental data to study a spray/wall interaction phenomena. To begin with, the behavior of spray injected normal to the wall was analysed using three different impingement models ; Naber and Reitz model(NR model), Watkins and Wang model(WW model) and Park and Watkins model(PW model) in the present calculation. The results obtained from these models were compared with experimental data of Katsura et. al. The results indicated that PW model was in better agreement with experimental data than the NR and WW model. Also f3r spray injected at 30DEG , the result of three models were compared with experimental data of Fujimoto et. al. The results showed that m model overpredicted the penetration in the radial direction because this model was based on the inviscid jet analogy. WW model did not predicted the radius and height of the wall spray effectively. It might be thought that this discrepancy was due to the lack of consideration of spray film velocity occurred at impingement site. The result of PW model agrees with the experimental data as time goes on. In particular, a height of the spray droplets was predicted more closely to the experimental data than the other two models. The results of PW model in which the spray droplets were distributed densely around the edge of droplet distribution shaped in a circle had an agreement with the experimental data of Fujimoto et. al. Therefore, it was concluded that PW model performed better than M and WW model for prediction of spray behavior. The numerical calculation using PW model performed to the cylinder similar to the real shape of DI engine. The results showed that vortex strength near the wall in the cylinder was stronger than that in the case of flat plate. Contrary to the flat plat, an existence of the side wall in the cylinder caused the tangential velocity component to be reduced and the normal velocity component to be increased. The flow tends to rotate to the inside of cylinder going upward to the right side wall of cylinder gradually as time passes. Also, the results showed that as the spray angle increases, the gas velocity distribution and the tumble flow seemed to be formed widely.
