터널식 소수력 발전소의 최적 설계유량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Design Flowrate for Tunnel-Type Small Hydro-Power Plants)

  • 본 연구는 터널식 소수력 발전소의 타당성 검토 기법에 관한 것으로 개발 후보지의 유량지속곡선을 작성하기 위해서 Weibull분포의 누적밀도함수와 Thiessen법을 채택하였고, 터널식 소수력 발전소의 성능예측 모델과 건설비 산정 모델이 개발되었다. 또한 한강 수계에 산재한 8개소의 개발후보지를 선정, 실측하여 이들을 대상으로 성능 특성 및 경제적 타당성을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 터널식 소수력 발전소의 경우 발전단가를 가장 낮게 하여 주는 최적 설계유량은 유량지속곡선상의 시간비가 20%에서 30%사이에 해당하는 유량이라는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 개발 후보지의 설계유량, 유효낙차, 설비용량, 년평균 가동율, 년간 전기 생산량 등과 같은 초기설계제원이 산정되었다.

  • 노후한 아파트들에 대한 사업 대안은 대부분이 재건축이었다. 그러나 건설자원의 고갈과 건설환경의 변화로 리모델링 사업은 노후한 건물의 새로운 관리방안으로 도입되고 있다. 이는 재건축의 사업 추진여부가 건물의 물리적 노후화에 기인하기보다는 기능적, 경제적 이유로 추진되었기 때문에, 리모델링을 통해 건물의 조기 재건축을 방지만 수 있으리라 예상되기 때문이다. 리모델링 사업을 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서는 사업 계획단계에서 합리적인 경제성 검토가 선행되어야 한다. 그러나 국내 리모델링 사업은 초기단계로 경제성 평가에 대한 사례 및 연구가 매우 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고충 임대아파트를 중심으로 주택부문의 리모델링 사업에 대한 합리적 경제성 평가 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Energy Saving Effect and Economy Feasibility of Office Building with regard to Geometries and Orientations

  • The energy usage and the economical feasibility of the typical two story office building in the three urban locations of South Korea are evaluated as the eight orientations. The smallest energy consume is shown at the true south. The ranges of the low energy consume are $-3l5^{\circ}{\sim}0^{\circ}\;and\;-135^{\circ}{\sim}-180^{\circ}$. There are obvious advantages of passive solar designs such as using a fully glazed facade at the true south in the building. The General Low voltage plan is the effective way for the office building when does not required the high voltage electricity. The energy cost of KEPCO is compared to that of XCEL ENERGY. The portion of the customer charge of XCEL ENERGY is about 10% but it is about 50% of the total tariff of KEPCO. The effective way to save the energy cost is by reducing the operating energy of XCEL ENERGY plane but the most effective way is reduce the contracting energy of KEPCO plane.

남북한 전자상거래 추진에 따른 활성화 방안 -분쟁방지를 위한 사전조정 기능을 중심으로- (A Study to Promote the EC Collaboration of the South and North Korea based on the Preemptive Dispute Resolution Policies)

  • It has been talked about the responsibility of the South-North Korean e-market place(e-MP) collaboration project every you since 2003. However, the feasibility as the business has not been dealt with in detail due to the uncertain environment as well as the complicated procedures of the project. The research focuses on the workable mechanism of the South-North Korean E-Market Place collaboration project. The feasibility of the project results from the newly installed fiber telecommunication network as well as the 1 billion dollars of the trading volume between South and North Korea. The research analyzes on the capabilities as well as willingness of the South and North Korea for the e-MP, and concludes with two paradigms of the future tasks. First, the unified but step-wise structure should be made to promote the project by the political committee (South and North Korea EC Committee) and the economical administration body (South and North Korea EC Corporation). Second, the market-oriented resolution system such as South and North Korea Arbitration Body should be involved to create legal environment. Above all, the discussion should be on the main body of e-MP settlement to abolish the psychological as well as practical barriers to enter the South-North Korean electronic commerce.

Technical and economical feasibility of using GGBS in long-span concrete structures

  • China accounts for nearly half of the global steel production. As a waste material or a by-product in the manufacture process, a large amount of blast furnace slag is generated every year. The majority of recycled blast furnace slag is used as an additive in low-grade blended cement in China (equivalent to the UK CEM II or CEM III depending on the slag content). The cost of using ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) in such low-grade applications may not be entirely reimbursed based on market research. This paper reports an on-going project at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) which investigates the feasibility of using GGBS in long-span concrete structures by avoiding/reducing the use of crack control reinforcement. Based on a case study investigation, with up to 50% of CEM I cement replaced with GGBS, a beneficiary effect of reduced thermal contraction is achieved in long-span concrete slabs with no significant detrimental effect on early-age strengths. It is believed that this finding may be transferable from China to other Asian countries with similar climates and economic/environmental concerns.

신규마을 조성사업의 입지 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Location Assessment of Rural Village Construction Project)

  • If the new town development project begins with inappropriate location then it will be difficult to recruit tenants and the proportion of the infrastructure cost could increase. It is necessary to evaluate the feasibility of the new town development projects to solve this problem. This study aims to identify the current status of the new town development projects and draw up evaluation criteria by examining advanced researches. To identify the importance of each village, we set up the weights through analytic hierarchy process. The evaluation criteria were classified into location conditions and economical efficiency. In the case of location conditions, it was classified into available size, geographical conditions, and accessibility. As a result of analyzing the questionnaire, it was subdivided into officially assessed land prices in case of economic efficiency. This study had some limitations, that is we focused on the location conditions and economic feasibility among other factors. Therefore further study should contain analysis more on socio-cultural aspects such as residents' cooperation or will for this project. By adding results later, we can make more reasonable decisions when we choose appropriate area.

양식장 물김 이송 및 중량 자동측정 시스템 개발의 경제성 분석 연구 (Economic analysis of the loading-unloading and automatic weighing systems in laver aquaculture industry)

  • Laver aquaculture, which occupies a large proportion in the aquaculture industry in Korea, is still highly dependent on human labor. Therefore, it is necessary to study the development of an automatic system to improve the working environment and increase the efficiency of aquaculture production systems. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic feasibility of an improved system in a study for the loading-unloading and automatic weighing systems in laver aquaculture industry. Economic analysis of the developed unloading and automatic weighing system were implemented under various conditions to calculate more accurate benefits and costs. As a result of this study, the economic feasibility was found to be very high in the three models: net present value (NPV), benefit-cost ratio (B/C), internal rate of return (IRR). Moreover, the results of sensitivity analysis showed that the economical efficiency of the automatic loading, unloading, and weighing system in laver aquaculture was very high.

Use of Geo-spatial Information System for the Potential Location Analysis of Small Hydropower.

  • The alarming climate change impacts are demanding the use of renewable energy sources like never before. Hydropower is one of the most cost-effective and environmental friendly energy technology recognized in the world. Big hydropower projects come up with the requirements of huge investment costs along with environmental impacts, whereas small hydropower(SHP) are considered a best solution for the economical source of energy. SHP, basically Run-of-River (RoR) type plants can be sustainable renewable energy sources and given the nature of perennial rivers flowing from steep gradient and rugged topography, feasibility of such plants is equally high in Nepal. The objective of this study is to determine the primary potential sites for the development of RoR type SHP sites using Geo-spatial Information System(GSIS). The use of GSIS enables precise survey of large area within a short period of time. This study has focused on the determination of locations by establishing defined criterions and methodologies and hence have located multiple locations rather than selecting one best location. The approach is applicable for the rapid initial screening of potential locations and results can facilitate detail feasibility study for the technical and economic analysis of SHP in the basin.

안양천 유역의 물순환 건전화를 위한 통합관리방안(II): 예비 타당성 계획 (Integrated Approach for Rehabilitating the Hydrologic Cycle in the Anyangcheon Watershed(II): Prefeasibility Study)

  • 근래 들어 도시화로 인한 물순환 파괴를 근본적으로 연구하고 이를 정상화하기 위한 체계적이고 통합적인 유역관리 기술이 요구되고 있다. 유역통합관리의 이론을 실제로 적용한 계획을 세우기 위해서는 Heathcote(1998)가 제안한 다음과 같은 단계별 절차를 수행하는 것이 바람직하다. 단계별 절차는 (1) 대상유역에 대한 정보수집, (2) 문제점 도출, (3) 분명한 목적 수립, (4) 대안의 구성, (5) 대안의 검토, (6) 대안의 효과분석, (7) 최종계획 수립으로 이루어져 있으며 본 연구에서는 3단계의 과정에 해당된다. Heathcote(1998)는 대안의 선정과 평가를 위한 방법으로 단순평가방법(simple assessment method)과 세부평가방법(detailed assessment method)으로 구분하였는데 본 연구에서 수행한 내용은 단순평가방법에 해당된다. 본 연구는 안양천 유역에서 물순환 건전화의 핵심을 건천화 방지로 판단하고 이를 위한 대안을 크게 지표수, 지하수, 대체수자원 분야로 구분하여 제시하였다. 지표수 분야의 경우 구조적인 대안으로 소규모 저수지의 개발, 타유역에서의 도수, 보를 이용한 수량 확보, 우오수분리벽을 이용한 상류유출수의 확보, 저협수로 형성, 하천바닥에 차집관로 매설 방지 및 차집관로 유지관리 등이 있으며 비구조적인 대안으로는 기존 저수지의 유지용수 공급을 위한 운영, 유수지의 다목적 활용, 하천수 직접취수 제한 등이 있다. 지하수 분야의 대안으로는 지하철 용출수의 재이용, 지하수의 과다이용 제한, 침투증진시설의 설치 등이 있으며 대체수자원 분야의 대안으로는 하수처리수를 고도처리하여 유지용수로 재이용하는 것, 중소규모 하수처리장의 상류 설치, 대규모 사업장의 폐수를 고도처리하여 활용하는 것, 상수도의 이용 등이 있다. 이러한 여러 가지 대안들은 Walesh(1989)가 제안한 절차에 따라 기술가능성(technical feasibility), 경제성(economical efficiency), 환경성(environmental feasibility) 등을 정성적으로(qualitatively) 파악하여 실현가능한 대안을 선정하였다. 이렇게 선정된 대안들은 중유역별로 검토하여 효과가 있을 것으로 판단되는 대안들을 제시하는 예비타당성(Prefeasibility) 계획을 수립하였다. 이렇게 제시된 계획은 향후 과학적인 분석(세부평가방법)을 통해 대안을 평가하고 구체적인 타당성(feasibility) 계획을 수립하는데 토대가 될 것이다.

  • This paper describes an optimal configuration of Community Energy System (CES) for the multi-energy consumers and analyzes economical feasibility for such system. The most of previous feasibility studies for Co-Generation plants of CES in Korea have shown negative results due to the abnormally low price of power rate in Korea. However, in order to overcome this situation a new approach was examined in this Paper. The efforts of this approach the selection of the low price but reliable facility and maximizing the capacity factor of the facility. MGT was selected in view of low price and good reliability. In order to maximize the capacity factor the system capacity should be quite lower than the actual required Electrical and Heat load of the subject entity. In this report 100 kW Co-Generation facility was selected in view of conservative analysis. The results of the analysis showed that pay back period may vary from 4 to 5 yens according to the application of LNG rates whether it is to-generation rate or the normal business rate. With the analysis in this paper we confirmed that CES is feasible even in Korea if we do not insist to select the capacity of CES to cover all the energy required but select a smaller size of CES compared to the actual requirement, which can allow full load operation of the system continuously.
