Used gas to the vehicle fuel are the problems of the 'survival' beyond the 'quality of life' improvements and revive a new paradigm of 'sustainable development' which pursues economic development in harmony with environmental conservation. However, the fatalities caused by explosions and fires increases every year with the increase in the use of LPG; gas accidents in large-scale storage facilities also cause severe damage to property. In this study, a suitable storage tank is designed in which the surface area of the fuel exposed to flames is minimized in order to prevent explosions; thus, the occurrences of explosions in underground storage tanks can be minimized. According to the optimum design of storage tank obtained in this study, underground containment space was minimized; the minimized diameter and length of a 20-ton storage tank was 3 m and 4.83 m, respectively. Thus, safety was ensured since surface area exposed to flames decreased by 89.4%, which is less than the exposed surface area in the currently used storage tanks.

The study present the findings divide into brand naming, image, positioning. The farms built trust by consumer relationship with the farm brand. The results of the study provide insights for agricultural marketers who intend to design brand stories that align with their produce. This study is a regional case study of the factor analysis which explain residents' satisfaction of the efficient rural development projects under the Block Grants System in Buyeo. This study attempted to proceed the empirical survey of 353 residents who live in one 'town(eup)' and 13 'village(meon)' in Buyeo-gun and analyzed through SPSSWIN. The results of the satisfaction analysis in the local development projects satisfied with the overall average 3.16 and then empirically verified the important factors of the 'cultural and leisure activities', 'learning environment', 'jobs and working conditions', 'transportation'. The factor analysis of 12 variables united into three factors, the first Factors are 'transportation', 'learning environment', 'social welfare', 'cultural and leisure activities', 'Information and Communication', 'Health and Medical Services'. The second factors are 'crimes and accidents', 'environmental management', 'neighbor relations and social participation', and the third factors united into 'income and consumption activities', 'job creation' which imply the economic variables, and 'residential environment' as the common category.

In ubiquitous environment, sensor networks that sense and transmit surrounding data without human intervention will become more important. If sensors are installed for detecting vehicles and measuring their speed in the road and that real-time information is given to drivers, it will be very effective for enhancing safety and controlling traffic in the road. In this paper, we proposed a new reliable and real-time sensor MAC protocol between AP and sensor nodes in order to provide real-time traffic flow information based on ubiquitous sensor networks. The proposed MAC allocates one TDMA slot for each sensor node on the IEEE 802.15.4 based channel structure, introduces relayed communication for distant sensors, and adopts a frame structure that supports retransmission for the case of errors. In addition, the proposed MAC synchronizes with AP by using beacon and adopts a hybrid tracking mode that supports economic power consumption according to various traffic situations, We implemented a simulator for the proposed MAC by using sim++ and evaluated various performances. The simulation results show that the proposed MAC reduces the power consumption and reveals excellent performance in real-time application systems.
The dynamics of business cycles has been changed by the macroscopic economic forces because of the introduction of new technical know-how each year. These the dynamics of business has a significant influence on the investment of enterprise in the information communication field. Today, the most important goal of the IT investment is simply not to lower the production cost any more, but to improve the usefulness for the customers and partners in order to obtain the optimized mass products. Therefore, the enterprises have been concentrating their all abilities on the automation, integration, and optimization of business process using BPM. In addition, they are concentrating their efforts on the business expansion by approaching the technical aspect using RFID application system. However, in order to accomplish a successful enterprise ability, the technical view, business process view, and organization view must be considered together. We suggested the method considering organization view, via the technical element, i.e., RFID system for approaching the business process. Furthermore, we tried the optimization of assignment using Context Analysis methodology and proposed the method to reduce the element with respect to the time, human, and expense by applying the Case Study method that minimizes the iteration times through the transmitted processing procedure and type. The proposed method gave us the expectation that it will bring out the innovative improvement with respect to the time, expense, quality, and customer's satisfaction in the process from the analysis of business process to the analysis and design of system.

In case of current South Korea, the rapid graying is in the progress. Because of it, the increase of elders who live alone causes variety of social, economic and national problems. Especially in the modern city, the health care, safety and maintenance of pleasant and joyful life of elders who live alone are being a big social issue. Even though practical services have been tried at the whole of government approach, the detailed alternatives are insufficient to improve the daily life support and service to approach the information. This research suggests the "ELA Service Model" which actively improves the easy access to information and corresponds to condition and circumstance of elders for providing the ICT-base Elderly Living alone care service. It is a step self-life support service based on fundamental desire of elders which resolves the problem and contributes to establish the active and balanced policy to the elderly.

Interest in the Quality of working life is spreading rapidly and the phrase has entered the popular vocabulary. That this should be so is probably due in large measure to changes in the values of society, nowadays accelerated as never before by the concerns and demands of younger people. But however topical the concept has become, there is very little agreement on its definition. Rather, the term appears to have become a kind of depository for a variety of sometimes contradictory meanings attributed to it by different groups. A list of all the elements it if held to cover would include availability and security of employment, adaquate income, safe and pleasant physical working conditions, reasonable hours of work, equitable treatment and democracy in the workplace, the possibility of self-development, control over one's work, a sense of pride in craftsmanship or product, wider career choices, and flexibility in matters such as the time of starting work, the number of working days in the week, Job sharing and so on altogether an array that encompasses a variety of traditional aspirations and many new ones reflecting the entry into the post industrial era. The term "quality of working life" was introduced by professor Louis E. Davis and his colleagues in the late 1960s to call attention to the prevailing and needlessly poor quality of life at the workplace. In their usage it referred to the quality of the relationship between the worker and his working environment as a whole, and was intended to emphasize the human dimension so often forgotten among the technical and economic factors in job design. Treating workers as if they were elements or cogs in the production process is not only an affront to the dignity of human life, but is also a serious underestimation of the human capabilities needed to operate more advanced technologies. When tasks demand high levels of vigilence, technical problem-solving skills, self initiated behavior, and social and communication skills. it is imperative that our concepts of man be of requisite complexity. Our aim is not just to protect the worker's life and health but to give them an informal interest in their job and opportunity to express their views and exercise control over everything that affects their working life. Certainly, so far as his work is concerned, a man must feel better protected but he must also have a greater feeling of freedom and responsibility. Something parallel but wholly different if happening in Europe, industrial democracy. What has happened in Europe has been discrete, fixed, finalized, and legalized. Those developing centuries driving toward industrialization like R.O.K, shall have to bear in mind the human complexity in processing and designing the work and its environment. Increasing attention is needed to the contradiction between autocratic rule at the workplace and democratic rights in society.n society.
In local underground mines heavily depending on the natural ventilation, ducted fan auxiliary ventilation system is strongly recommended instead of the total mine ventilation system requiring large capital and operating costs. Optimizing the installation of ducted fans in series in long large-opening mines is required to assure the economy and efficiency of the ventilation system. The two most critical design parameters for optimization are the wall separation distance and gap length between adjoining ducts. This study aims at deriving the optimal values for those two parameters concerning the economic and environmental aspects through the extensive CFD analysis, which minimizes pressure loss, leakage and entrainment of the contaminated air in the gap space. The ranges of the wall separation distance and gap length for study are selected by taking into consideration the existing recommendations and guidelines. The ultimate goal is to optimize the auxiliary ventilation system using ducted fans in series to provide a reliable and efficient solution to maintain clean and safe workplace environment in local long underground mines.
Traffic congestion on the streets is the major concern of Metropolitan areas in Korea. Especially the signalized intersections are the main spots where traffic congestion is to be created. Currently the subway construction has been on the process in Taegu Metropolitan city. The subway stations are usually located at the intersections where a large number of vehicles and people are moving. During the constructional period, such an intersection creates profoundly a great deal of traffic congestion due to the open-cut constructional method. Under circumstance of the constructional method, the lane configurations should be changed frequently and the surface conditions make drivers uncomfortable. The propose of this study is to propose the improved method of traffic operation at the large circled intersection under the construction. The Signalized Modern Roundabout(SMR) is applied modifying from the modern roundabout. The geometric design and signal operation of SMR is developed in this study. To verify the operation of SMR the comparative study is conducted between the operation of the open-cut method and SMR method using the micro-simulation program, NETSIM. The result of simulation shows that the delay caused by the operation of SMR is not higher than that under the open-cut method. SMR makes also the constructional period shorten, makes the cost of construction lessened and makes drivers more comfortable as well than the method of open-cut. Therefore, the study concludes that the operation of SMR is more efficient, economic and safer method than that of open-cut method at the large circled intersection under construction.

Various PSC and steel-concrete composite railway bridges are being developed for short-medium spans with structural and economic efficiency. According to the design concept, the prestressed composite girder bridge has the advantages of being lightweight and having low girder depth, with the capacity for long spans. However, the dynamic behavior under a passing train is one of the critical issues concerning these railway bridges designed with more flexibility. Therefore, it is very important to evaluate the modal parameters before performing dynamic analyses. In this paper, real-scale prestressed composite girders were fabricated as a test model and modal testing was carried out to evaluate modal parameters including natural frequency and modal damping ratio. During the modal testing, a digitally controlled vibration exciter as well as an impact hammer was applied to obtain frequency-response functions, and the modal parameters were also evaluated after the fracture of test models. With application of reliable properties from modal tests, the estimation of dynamic performances of prestressed composite girder railway bridges can be obtained from various parametric studies on dynamic behavior under the passage of a moving train.
The increasing rate of obesity in school aged children has become a conspicuous social phenomenon in Korea. This has been linked to greater economic growth, increasingly westernized dietary habits, and a consumer driven society. Given that obesity can lead to social exclusion or unfavorable attention by other students in a school setting, the design of plus-size garments have become important for effective appearance management skills. This research aimed to establish a somatotype database for obese school boys, aged 10 to 12, in order to develop a sizing system for plus-size upper garments. In order to measure somatotype of average and obese school boys, five categories were recorded; height, obesity, length of trunk, thickness of neck and chest. For obese boys, subcutaneous fat thickness and position of B.P/shoulder point factors were recorded. Obesity factor was subdivided into overall and specific ones, and while the deviation of obese body types was severe compared to the average type. Obese body type showed significantly higher measurements in width, girth, thickness. This is linked to the fact that the frequency ratio of obesity increases with age. Stature and chest were chosen as control dimensions for boys' wear. As crosstabulation of stature(5cm interval) and chest girth(2, 3 and 4cm), and stature(5cm interval)/chest girth(3cm interval) sizing system showed, the most effective cover ratio and adaptability to the data distribution $25{\sim}75$ quartile. Based on the findings, 10 sizes were formulated for average body type, while 18 sizes were formulated for obese type, whose size cover ratios were 48% and 62.9%, respectively. The primary ranges of stature were $145cm{\sim}150cm$, while those of chest girth were $79{\sim}82cm$. Each size was declared as "chest-somatotype{A(average)/O(obesity)-stature". This study proposed a plus-size upper garment sizing systems for obese boys, accompanied with reference measurements for suit, casual wear and underwear. The finding showed that the two systems were totally separate and not overlapping, meaning that plus-size sizing system is essential for obese school boys. The obesity type system had more size and wider range specs.
