낙동강 하류 권역별 조류군집의 특성 (Regional Characteristics of Bird Community in Nakdong River Basin)

  • 본 연구는 2003년 3월부터 2004년 2월까지 낙동강 하류지역에 도래하는 조류를 지역별로 구분하여 도래현황과 서식지 환경의 특성을 조사하였다. 조사결과 낙동강 하류에서 총 114종 94,481개체가 관찰·기록되었다. 이 중 종수와 개체수에서 대마등(Ⅰ)이 55종 21,781개체로 가장 많이 관찰되었는데 낙동강 하류의 전지역 중에서 대마등과 주변의 갯벌이 채식지와 휴식지로 좋은 조건을 갖추고 있기 때문으로 판단된다. 조류군집의 특성에서, 논병아리류는 하구언 아래(을숙도)지 역, 가마우지류는 수심 이 깊은 낙동강 본류와 서낙동강의 주변, 고니류와 혹부리오리 및 도요·물떼새는 하구언 하단부의 수심이 얕은 갯벌,수면성 오리류는 서낙동강(F)과 염막(C)지역, 잠수성 오리류는 비교적 수심이 깊고 서식 여건을 갖추고 있는 하구언 상단부와 서낙동강의 녹산수문 상단부를 주로 이용하고 있었다. 기타 산새류는 염 막(C)과 을숙도(A) 및 서낙동강(F) 지역에 많이 분포하고 있는데 이것은 을숙도 쓰레기 매립장의 인공 식재림, 일웅도의 유휴지와 염막으로 연결되는 지역으로 물새와 함께 일반 조류들의 서식공간으로 활용되고 있기 때문이라고 생각된다. 낙동강 하류지역은 낙동강 하구와 주남저수지의 사이에서 오리 기러기류의 채식지 및 휴식지로서 중요한 지역이지만 계속해서 개발의 유혹에서 벗어나지 못하는 지역 중의 한 곳이다. 이번 조사에서 나타난 결과는 수변지역으로는 대저수문지역(E), 서낙동강(F)의 녹산수문 상단부와 경작지로서는 염막(C)지역으로 인간의 간섭을 받지 않는 자연적인 서식지를 유지하면서 효과적으로 보존할 수 있는 철저한 관리가 요망되는 지역으로 판단된다.

Seasonal fluctuations and changing characteristics of a temperate zone wetland bird community

  • Background: The composition of wild bird populations in temperate zones greatly varies depending on phenological changes rather than other environmental factors. Particularly, wild birds appearing in wetlands fluctuate greatly due to the crossover of species arriving for breeding during the summer and for wintering. Therefore, to understand the changes to species composition related to phenology, we conducted this basic analysis of populations to further the cause of the protection of wetland-dependent wild birds. Methods: It is wrong to simply divide a wild bird population investigation into seasons. This study identifies species composition and indicator species that change along with seasons. Wetlands to be surveyed are protected by natural monuments and wetland inventory and are in a state close to nature. In order to identify as many species as possible in wetlands, a survey was conducted in both shallow and deep wetlands. The water depth varied in these areas, ranging from 0.2 to 2.0 m, allowing for both dabbling and diving ducks to inhabit the area. Surveys were conducted using line-transect and distance sampling methods and were conducted at intervals of 2 weeks. The survey was conducted under the following three categories: the eco-tone and emergent zone, the submergent zone, and the water surface. The survey was conducted along a wetland boundary by observing wild birds. A PC-ord program was used for clustering, and the SAS program was used to analyze the changes in species composition. The data strongly indicates that day length is the main factor for seasonal migration periods, despite the fact that climate change and increasing temperatures are often discussed. Results and conclusions: The indicator species for determining seasons include migrant birds such as Ardea cinerea, Alcedo atthis, Anas penelope, and Poiceps ruficollis, as well as resident birds such as Streptopelia orientalis and Emberiza elegans. Importantly, increases in local individual counts of these species may also serve as indicators. The survey results of seasonal fluctuations in temperate zones shows that spring (April to June), summer (July to September), autumn (October), and winter (November to March) are clearly distinguishable, even though spring and summer seasons tend to overlap, leading to the conclusion that additional research could more clearly identify fluctuation patterns in species composition and abundance in the study area.

남한지역 향나무림의 군락생태학적 특성 (Community Ecological Characteristics of Juniperus chinensis L. Forest in South Korea)

  • 남한 자생 향나무의 산림식생 관리방안을 위해 ZM 식물사회학적 방법에 의해 군락단위 및 그 하위단위를 분류하고, 식생유형별 피도값을 이용하여 NMS와 지표종분석을 실시하였다. 향나무군락군은 총 2개 군락과 4개 군 및 6개의 소군으로의 분류체계를 가졌으며 총 7개의 식생단위로 분류되었다. NMS 분석결과 설명률이 높은 1축(13.8%) 및 2축(69%) 으로 나타내었으며, 종합설명력은 31%로 나타났으며, 내륙(동강)지역, 동해안지역과 울릉도지역이 명확하게 구분되어 나타났다. 식생단위별 지표종을 분석한 결과 89종이 유의성 있게 분석되었다. 식생단위별 종 다양도, 균재도, 종내경쟁 등을 분석한 결과 종다양도에서는 회양목군락 굴참나무군의 하위단위인 개박달나무소군이 1.17로 가장 높게 나타났고, 곰솔군락 쥐똥나무소군의 하위단위인 전형소군이 0.67로 가장 낮게 나타났다. 종간 경쟁지수에서는 분꽃나무군이 0.46으로 가장 작았고, 섬벚나무소군이 0.80으로 가장 높게 나왔으며, 전체적으로 0.7내외로 나타났다.

화진포호의 돌말 Skeletonema costatum 대발생과 영양상태 (Spring Bloom of Skeletonema costatum and Lake Trophic Status in the Hwajinpo Lagoon, South Korea)

  • 한반도 동해안에 분포하는 대표적인 석호중의 하나인 화진포호에서 2010년 봄철(4~6월)에 돌말 Skeletonema costatum가 대발생하였다. 본 연구는 대발생기와 소멸기 동안 저수지의 식물플랑크톤 군집의 특성을 파악하고 수질을 근거로 하는 호수의 영양지수를 산출하여 수질을 평가하였다. 분석결과 국내에서 가장 높은 세포밀도($>10^5$ cells $mL^{-1}$)를 보였으며, 수온은 $20^{\circ}C$ 전후였으나 더 높았던 여름철(7월 이후)에는 소멸하였다. 저수지의 수질은 높은 염분도, BOD, COD, 인산염, 낮은 N/P비, 투명도 등으로 부영양~과영양 상태로 나타났다. 식물플랑크톤 군집은 돌말류가 높은 세포밀도를 보인 조류발생기 동안에는 높은 우점도와 낮은 다양도를 보였으며, 소멸기에는 다시 회복되는 특성을 나타냈다. 결국 2010년 화진포호의 Skeletonema costatum 대발생은 봄철 가뭄이 장기간 진행되고 하천수의 유입이 감소함으로써 비롯된 것으로 판단되며 매년 반복될 가능성을 시사해 주었다.

당뇨환자의 혈당관리 태도에 대한 요인분석(I) - 혈당관리 요소와 식생활 태도를 중심으로 - (A Factor Analysis Study on Blood Glucose Control in Diabetics Mellitus Patients(1) -Focus on Blood Glucose Control and Lifestyle Factors-)

  • Dietary therapy is a basic and emphasized treatment for diabetes. Several clinical studies have shown that diet can play a major role in preventing and managing diabetes. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the dietary behavior and to find solutions to barriers of diabetes mellitus patients. From February to July in 2007, questionnaires were distributed to one hundred and ten patients who were diagnosed DM by physicians and excluded first coming out-patients. One hundred and three data were used for statistical analysis using SPSS/Win 12.0. The main results of this study included the following: To measure dietary behaviors and barriers, a five point scale was used with the following labels: 'strongly yes', 'yes', 'fair', 'no', 'strongly no'. Thirteen dietary behaviors related to diabetes were grouped into the following 4 factors using factor analysis; 'taste control factor', 'blood glucose influence factor', 'practice volition factor', and 'exercise factor'. The mean scores of 4 factors were 3.88, 3.48, 3.55, 3.21, respectively. The 'taste control behaviors' score of subjects who had practiced diet therapy(4.00) was higher than those who had not practiced diet therapy(P<0.05). The 'blood glucose influence behaviors' score of subjects who had nutrition education(3.59) was higher than those who had no nutrition education(P<0.05) and subjects who had practiced diet therapy showed higher score(3.59) than those who had not practiced diet therapy(P<0.05). 'Exercise behaviors score' of subjects who were over 60(3.59) was the lowest(P<0.05). Subjects who had nutrition education showed higher 'exercise behaviors' scores(3.38) than those who had no nutrition education(P<0.05). Subjects who had practiced diet therapy showed higher 'practice volition behaviors' scores(3.72) than those who had not practiced diet therapy(P<0.001). Subjects who were over weight showed the highest 'practice volition behaviors' scores(3.78) concerning BMI(P<0.05). In conclusion, this study expected that Nutrition educators(Dietitian) applied to patient effective nutrition education and counseling through evaluation of Dietary behaviors and barriers considered management types and ecological factors of diabetes patients. Also diabetic patients were easy to change dietary habits because they formed behaviors through education and counsel and there were positive effects in their blood glucose control through removing barriers related to dietary therapy.

한강수계 달천의 어류상과 물리적 서식지 조건에 관한 연구 (Investigation on Physical Habitat Condition and Fish Fauna in Dal Stream of Han River Basin)

  • 하천복원과 환경유량을 위한 기초자료를 확립하고자 한강수계중 달천에서 어류상, 군집구조 및 물리적 서식조건을 2008년 9월부터 2009년 11월까지 조사하였다. 5개지점을 선정하여 실시된 어류 채집결과 총 9과 35종 2,089개체가 포획되었으며, 이중 한국고유종은 줄납자루 및 참종개를 포함하는 총 19종(54.3%)이 출현하였다. 출현어종중 개체수 구성비가 가장 높은 종은 피라미로 30.3%를 차지하였고, 다음은 쉬리 18.0%, 참갈겨니 13.0 등의 순으로 나타났다. 어류군집은 상류로부터 하류로 내려갈수록 어종수가 증가되는 것으로 나타났으며, 생물다양도는 양호상태를 나타내었다. 집괴분석은 0.63 수준에서 2개의 그룹으로 나누어졌다. 우리나라 대부분 상류하천은 여울과 유수역이 반복되면서 이어지는 형태를 보여주고 있으나, 무분별한 하천사업 및 직강화 수로화 공사로 인해 하천의 서식지 다양성이 계속 감소되고 있는 추세이다. 따라서 생물다양성을 유지하고 생태적 하천복원을 위해서는 각 어종에 대한 물리적 서식 조건을 자세하게 파악하여 서식지 조성에 필요한 노력을 해야 할 것이다.

Evaporative Stress Index (ESI)의 국내 가뭄 심도 분류 기준 제시 (Percentile Approach of Drought Severity Classification in Evaporative Stress Index for South Korea)

  • Drought is considered as a devastating hazard that causes serious agricultural, ecological and socio-economic impacts worldwide. Fundamentally, the drought can be defined as temporarily different levels of inadequate precipitation, soil moisture, and water supply relative to the long-term average conditions. From no unified definition of droughts, droughts have been divided into different severity level, i.e., moderate drought, severe drought, extreme drought and exceptional drought. The drought severity classification defined the ranges for each indicator for each dryness level. Because the ranges of the various indicators often don't coincide, the final drought category tends to be based on what the majority of the indicators show and on local observations. Evaporative Stress Index (ESI), a satellite-based drought index using the ratio of potential and actual evaporation, is being used as a index of the droughts occurring rapidly in a short period of time from studies showing a more sensitive and fast response to drought compared to Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), and Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI). However, ESI is difficult to provide an objective drought assessment because it does not have clear drought severity classification criteria. In this study, U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM), the standard for drought determination used in the United States, was applied to ESI, and the Percentile method was used to classify drought categories by severity. Regarding the actual 2017 drought event in South Korea, we compare the spatial distribution of drought area and understand the USDM-based ESI by comparing the results of Standardized Groundwater level Index (SGI) and drought impact information. These results demonstrated that the USDM-based ESI could be an effective tool to provide objective drought conditions to inform management decisions for drought policy.

야생 흰진달래의 조경식생화를 위한 연구 (A Study for Use of Wild Rhododendron mucronulatum for. albiflorum as Landscape plant)

  • Rhododendron mucronulatum for. albiflorum, native species is a shrub that has white flowers on May to June, and rare species endangered by people's rash digging or cutting. But its physiological ecological characteristics and propagation method are not being known at all. Therefore, this study was executed to utilize this species as the planting material for landscaping by analysing its habitat environment and growth form, and also experimenting its seed and vegetative propagation, and it field culture and utilization. The results are as follows; 1. The elevation, gradient and direction of this species were 295-1,350m, 10-36$^{\circ}$, northwest respectively. It was found that the species is shade-liking plant that grows under forest cover of average 51.33%. 2. The soil pH and water content of its habitat were 5.4, 25.41% respectively. The organic matter content was 6.29% that was higher than 3.2%, the average organic matter content of forest soil in Korea. 3. Representative plant community within which this species was living was Quercus mongolica community, and its main neighboring species were Lindea obtusiloba, Fraxinus sieboldiana, Rhus trichocarpa, Rhododendron Schlippenbachii, Rododendron mucronulatum. 4. The leaf length and width of this species were 39.18mm, 12.60mm respectively. This result showed that generally its leaf size was larger than that of R. micranthum, R. yedoense var. poukhanense and R. mucronulatum var. ciliatum and smaller than that of R. mucronulatum and R. schlippenbachii. 5. The whole size of its pollen was, as 59${\times}$61$\mu\textrm{m}$, the largest of plants of Rhododendron family including R. mucronulatum and R. mucronulatum var. ciliatum. 6. The result of seed germination experiment at intervals of 5$^{\circ}C$ from 15$^{\circ}C$ to 30$^{\circ}C$ presented the highest germination rate of 94.7% at 20$^{\circ}C$ numerically, but high percent germination at all temperature levels without significant difference. And the seed of this plant proved to be sun-liking seed at requiring dormancy in germination. 7. Through seed germination experiment by treatment of growth regulators such as GA. Thiourea and Kinetin under dark condition, it was found that the effect of GA treatment on germination increase and acceleration was the highest. 8. In greenwood cutting, rooted rate by treatment of various concentration of IBA and NAA on clay and vermiculite bed was not wholly high, but 100ppm plots of both IBA and NAA of clay bed showed relatively good rooted rate. 9. As result of field culture experiment for finding out optimum growth temperature and light intensity, growth conditions such as height, number of leaves, fresh weight and chlorophyll contents were the best at night/day temperature of 20/25$^{\circ}C$ and under 1/2sun. Also, the photosynthetic rate was the highest at 25$^{\circ}C$. Accordingly, it was found that optimum temperature and light intensity for growth of this plant are 25$^{\circ}C$ (day temperature), 50% of natural light respectively.

청도새마을운동 기념공원 기본계획 (A Study on the Landscape plan to the Cheongdo Saemaeul Movement Memorial Park)

  • The Saemaeul Movement, which is the representative national campaign of Korea aimed at the development of local communities, has drawn a great deal of attention from home and abroad and formed an element of Korea's national brand since 2000. Accordingly, this research was conducted for the purpose of constructing a memorial park in Shindo Village, Cheongdo County, North Kyoungsang Province, which is a home to the Saemaeul Movement. As the Saemaeul Movement is benchmarked by many countries around the world today, this research aims to communicate the spirit and social value of the movement and disseminate its effects of local community development in rural areas through the construction of a memorial park. In this study, the design motive of the memorial park was conceived through the historical review and case studies of the Saemaeul Movement. In parallel, theoretical study was also conducted on design techniques as the basis of this research. In consideration of the characteristics of a technical article, this research was conducted in several phases. In the first phase, the conditions of the site where the park construction was planned were analyzed and the direction of its development was set. In the second phase, the main theme and the basic principles of planning were established, and the contents of the park construction project were devised in detail. In the last phase, a comprehensive plan was established, including a space layout to accommodate activities, facilities and programs to be introduced to the park. The park construction site ($106,000m^2$) was divided into four zones (memorial zone, historical theme park, education zone and experience zone) based on circulation planning aimed at creating memorial space, and was linked to eco-friendly ecological space in consideration of environmental features. At a time when the Saemaeul Movement is being propagated across the world, the result of this study will help create a place for its memorial and play a pivotal role to boost international movements aimed at promoting co-prosperity across the global village. It will also bear significance as an example of theme-based park construction in a rural area and the invigoration of a local community.

생태학적 체계이론에 기반한 남자독거노인의 자살생각 예측모형 (Prediction Model of Suicidal Ideation in Elderly Men Living Alone Based on Ecological System Theory)

  • 본 연구는 남자독거노인의 자살생각을 설명하는 가설적 모형을 구축하여 실제 자료간의 적합도를 검증함으로써, 남자독거노인의 자살생각을 감소시켜주는 노인자살예방프로그램을 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 가설적 모형의 적합도를 검증한 결과 ${\chi}^2/df$, RMR, GFI, AGFI CFI, IFI, RMSEA 기준을 만족하여 가설적 모형을 수정없이 최종모형으로 확정하였다. 남자독거노인의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 가장 큰 요인은 자아존중감이였으며, 요인에 대한 설명력이 55%였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 남자독거노인의 자살생각의 최종 결과변인으로 검정된 우울, 사회적 고립감을 감소시키고 자아존중감, 가족결속력, 사회활동 참여, 스트레스 대처, 사회적 지지를 향상시킬 수 있는 효율적인 맞춤형 노인 자살예방 프로그램을 개발하여 적용한다면 남자독거노인의 자살생각을 예방하는데 도움이 될 것이라고 본다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점을 토대로 몇 가지 제언을 하고자 한다. 우선, 본 연구는 가정, 경로당, 종합복지회관을 이용하는 남자독거노인을 대상으로 자료수집을 하였기 때문에 연구결과의 일반화에 한계가 있으므로 다양한 장소에서 남자독거노인을 대상으로 한 확대 연구를 제언한다. 또한 설문의 내용이 민감하여 제대로 답변을 못하는 경우도 있어 심도있게 향후 질적연구를 제언하며, 본 연구에서 규명된 남자독거노인의 자살생각 영향변인들을 근거로 남자독거노인의 자살생각을 예방하기 위한 맞춤형 노인자살예방 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 평가하는 연구가 필요하다.
