  • The change of modern society arouse the issue of the family structure and the demand of upbringing. According to the issue, the need of the upbringing is the big interest in society. This study is on the demand of the parents of students in eco-environmental space in child care center. The purpose of the study makes the suggestion the need of the eco-environmental space in child care center. The study progressed with looking up and giving questionaires in six child care centers which have eco-environmental space in Seoul. 210 questionaires were given out to parents and taken away 180 questionaires. The result of the study, parents required strongly to have the eco-environmental space in child care center. The natural interior materials, nature experimental outdoor ground and exterior garden were preferred overriding. The use of the woods and stones and eco-environmental adhesives are required as the natural Interior materials. And the natural light source can be imported in sky light, side window and atrium. Upcoming study would be directed in child care center without eco-environmental spaces. The next suggestion would be made in the needs of the eco-environmental space in child care center.

  • This paper aims to investigate the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of hot-deformed AlMg4 alloys with Mn, Fe, and Si as the main impurities. For this purpose, solidification behavior and microstructural evolution during hot-rolling and heat-treatment processes are investigated by using theoretical calculations and experimental characterization. The crystallization and morphological transformation of intermetallic Al3Fe, Al6Mn, and Mg2Si phases are revealed and discussed in terms of the variation in chemical composition. Following a homogenization heat-treatment, the effect of heat treatment on the intermetallic compounds is also investigated after hot-rolling. It was revealed that the Mg2Si phase can be broken into small particles and spherodized more easily than the Al3Fe intermetallic phase during the hot-rolling process. For the Mn containing alloys, both yield and ultimate tensile strength of the hot-rolled alloys increased from 270 to 296 MPa while elongation decreased from 17 to 13%, which can be attributed to Mn-containing intermetallic as well as dispersoid.

  • Blocking of IL-6 has been postulated to be an effective therapy in the pathogenesis of several inflammatory diseases. The current study was performed to examine the potential effects of alkamides isolated from P. longum and P. nigrum on IL-6 induced Stat3 activation and identify the structure-activity relationship of these alkamides in human hepatoma cells. Among 10 alkamides isolated from P. longum and P. nigrum, compounds 6, 7 and 9 were identified as strong inhibitors of IL-6 action, which inhibit IL-6 induced Stat3-dependent luciferase activities. These inhibitory activities were positively influenced by the presence of piperidine moiety.

  • Glucosyl rubusosides were synthesized by two dextransucrases. LcDexT was obtained from Leuconosotoc citreum, that LlDexT was obtained from Leuconostoc lactis. LcDexT and LlDexT regioselectively transferred a glucosyl residue to the 13-O-glucosyl moiety of rubusoside with high yield of 59-66% as analyzed by TLC and HPLC. Evaluation of the sweetness of these glucosyl rubusosides showed that their quality of taste, in particular, was superior to that of rubusoside. These results indicate that transglucosylation at the 13-O-glucosyl moiety of rubusoside by different regioselective dextransucrases can be applicable for increasing its sweetness and quality of taste.

  • Strobilurins are one of the most important classes of agricultural fungicides. To discover new strobilurin derivatives with high activity against resistant pathogens, a series of novel ${\beta}$-methoxyacrylate analogues were designed and synthesized by integrating substituted pyrimidine with a strobilurin pharmacophore. The compounds were confirmed and characterized by infrared, $^1H$ nuclear magnetic resonance, elemental analysis and mass spectroscopy. The bioassays indicated that most of the compounds (1a-1h) exhibited potent antifungal activities against Colletotrichum orbiculare, Botrytis cinerea Pers and Phytophthora capsici Leonian at the concentration of 50 ${\mu}g/mL$. Exhilaratingly, compound 1d (R=3-trifluoromethylphenyl) showed better antifungal activity against all the tested fungi than the commercial strobilurin fungicide azoxystrobin.

  • Phytochemicals have been considered as alternatives for synthetic fungicides because of their biodegradability and low toxicity. In this study, we found that the methanolic extract of Corydalis ternata suppressed the development of plant diseases caused by Puccinia triticina and Colletotrichum coccodes. As the antifungal substance, three isoquinoline alkaloids (dehydrocorydaline, stylopine, and corydaline) were isolated from C. ternata. These active compounds also exhibited in vivo antifungal activity against P. triticina and C. coccodes. Taken together, our results suggest that C. ternata and its active compounds can be used to control plant diseases.
