The Effects of Eco-friendly Paper Container Cosmetics Purchasing Motivation on Satisfaction and Repurchase Intention (친환경 종이 용기 화장품 구매 동기가 만족 및 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we tried to find out how it affects the motivation, satisfaction, and repurchase intention of eco-friendly paper container cosmetics. To this end, a survey was conducted and a total of 190 questionnaires were analyzed. The main results are as follows: Symbolicity, aesthetics, and practicality, which are the components of purchase motivation, have a significant effect on satisfaction, and both aesthetics and practicality have a significant effect on repurchase intention. In addition, satisfaction with eco-friendly paper container cosmetics has a significant impact on repurchase intentions. Therefore, it is believed that eco-friendly paper container cosmetics marketing managers should present marketing measures that emphasize practicality, the motivation for purchasing, which has the biggest impact on satisfaction and repurchase intentions.

  • The cosmetics industry faces a significant challenge in addressing the decreased recycling rate of cosmetic containers due to the composite materials used to meet consumers' aesthetic satisfaction. To address thees issues, eco-friendly packaging solutions such as refill packaging and single-material use have been developed. However, the market for eco-friendly cosmetics packaging requires a product that meets consumers' demands for aesthetics, sensitivity, and eco-friendliness while also performing as well as existing products. This study presents a solution to the challenge of the decreased recycling rate of cosmetic containers by developing a new cosmetic packaging product for cream formulations. The product features an easily separable and dischargeable internal refill container, while maintaining the design aesthetics of the external container. Through various tests, the product was shown to be of equivalent quality and performance to existing cream cosmetic packaging, with no leakage or defects observed. Furthermore, the use of a single-material polypropylene refill container is expected to contribute to the improvement of the plastic recycling rate.

  • Pump cap is a product that is widely used due to its ease of use and simple operation. These pump caps are applied to heterogeneous functional cosmetics and are being developed as dual pump caps. However, the conventional dual pump cap has a problem in that it is inconvenient to use and leakage occurs. In addition, it is formed of a plurality of materials, and there is a problem that is difficult to recycle. Lately, since the problem of environmental pollution is getting serious, the dual pump cap, which is difficult to recycle, cannot be used. Currently, eco-friendliness has been considered in Korea, and there are no dual pump cap containers with excellent sealing performance. Therefore, in this study, a dual pump cap container made of eco-friendly material was designed. In addition, finite element analysis was performed to verify the design feasibility of the product.
