  • Wood is a construction material that has the advantages of carbon dioxide storage ability, noise reflection, and eco-friendliness. In order to use wood for a long time, you must use wood-specific paint, which is called oil stain. Oil stain improves water resistance and moisture resistance, but has the disadvantage of being weak against fire. This is because the oil contained in the oil stain causes a chemical reaction, and this chemical reaction causes the oil stain to spontaneously ignite, igniting nearby combustible materials and causing frequent fires. To improve this, in this study, different flame retardants were mixed and added to oil stain to produce functional oil stain. In addition, we would like to apply it to wood to check glow time and carbonization area. As a result of the experiment, it shows the best performance when mixed at 30(15 + 15)(%) and added to oil stain. The remaining burn time is satisfied from 10% for all samples, and the carbonized area is satisfied when it is 30%.

  • Railway rail fastening system is the critical device which gives big influences to not only the vehicle driving stability and the orbit's structural stability against the impulsive load, but also the noise vibration and the ride comfort. As a part of the low-carbon green growth, the importance of the railroad industry is getting highlights on its excellent energy-efficiency and eco-friendliness. However, so far the Korea's domestic rail fastening system technology is not so good and the technical reliance to abroad is very heavy. In this study, we conducted comparative analysis on the rail fastening system with new and used one of the same type. And those systems are imported by Seoul Metro and are being used by it. With this basis, we developed the components and the materials and then, established the durability assessment methods appropriate to the Korean domestic circumstances. And through the reliability qualification test on the 7 parts of the rail fastening system, we've improved the reliability and guaranteed the 15 years of service lifetime. ($B_{10}Life15$) Establishment and standardization of Reliability Standard on the parts of the rail fastening system such as anti-vibration pads, guide-plate, screw spike made it possible to perform the internationally fair assessment. And it is thought that we can satisfy the manufactures' and consumers' needs of cost-cutting and qualification security by shortening of assessment period on rail fastening system.

단체급식소 쇠고기 이용 실태 및 영양사의 쇠고기 품질에 대한 인식 (Beef Usage and Dietitians' Perceptions of Beef Quality in Institutional Foodservice)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the usage of beef and foodservice managers' perceptions of beef quality by foodservice type. A survey was conducted on 546 dietitians, and 499 acceptable responses were used for data analysis. By weight, pork was the most used meat in foodservice institutions, followed by poultry and beef. More than half of the foodservices selected meat suppliers by competitive bidding. Approximately 85.8% of the respondents used Hanwoo beef, followed by Australian beef and Youku beef. Beef type differed significantly by foodservice type (P<0.001): most of the schools and social welfare facilities used Hanwoo beef, whereas most hospitals and business/industry operations used Australian beef. When purchasing beef, safety of beef was rated the most important, while eco-friendliness was rated the least important. Most of the dietitians understood that marbling is one of the determinants of the beef quality, but were not aware of other components. Dietitians that selected Hanwoo and Youku beef were more satisfied with quality, taste, nutrition, freshness, country of origin, package, customer, preference, and availability for various menus than those who used imported beef. Dietitians who used Hanwoo beef were the most satisfied with country of origin, whereas the others were the most satisfied with safety. Since the dietitians are in charge of planning menus and selecting meat suppliers at foodservice institutions, they should make knowledgeable decisions by understanding meat supply systems and quality of beef.

가스터빈의 냉각공기를 고려한 선박동력용 GT/ST 하이브리드시스템의 성능 평가 (Performance Analysis of GT/ST Hybrid System for Marine Power Applications(under Conditions of Air-Cooled Gas Turbine))

  • 미래형 선박 동력장치는 경제성과 친환경성을 같이 요구하고 있다. 즉, 높은 에너지 효율과 함께 대기오염물질 및 온실가스의 배출을 낮추어야 한다. 최근 가스터빈은 효율과 안전성 면에서 많은 기술적 발전을 이룩하였으며 항공용 이외에 파워플랜트의 GT/ST 하이브리드시스템으로 채용의 사례를 넓히고 있다. 본 논문에서는 선박용으로 GT/ST 하이브리드시스템의 가능성을 평가하기 위하여 대용량이 아닌 수십 MW급에 대한 성능 특성을 시뮬레이션으로 검토하였다. 검토된 GT/ST 하이브리드시스템은 최대 효율이 49 %정도이고 TIT에 대하여 최고 효율점을 갖으며 가스터빈과 증기터빈의 부하분담률이 각각 70~75 % 그리고 25~30 % 정도였다.

BIG의 건축에서 나타나는 스토리텔링에 의한 형태생성 프로세스와 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Process Form Generation and Expressive Characteristic by Storytelling in BIG's Architecture)

  • This study started from the concern for Bjrake Ingels, an emerging architect in the architecture circle, who is creative and popular. Recently, the architecture field provides architects with a foundation to express a process on a new form creation through various new expressive languages, design concepts, and methods. The global Danish group BIG(Bjarke Ingels Group) develops a story by their distinctive architectural language. The storytelling is being used in various fields and now the tool called 'story' is settling down as an important element in the life that human lives. Bjarke Ingels leading the group BIG aims for the form expression by the scientific analysis and adaptation after being affected by Danish regional background and OMA. It creates a form to share stories with local members by visually simplifying the region, culture, environment, social phenomenon, economy, and politics that are invisible and do not have the form in the modern society. The elements and expressive features of the space storytelling include locality, cultural, natural environment, and connectivity which are the content structure(story) that enables you to intervene in the story according to the main agent to imagine a new space. The expressive element includes the watching moving line story of the successive, hierarchical, and organic structures which are constructive elements creating various spaces through the mixture, transmutability, and relocation of the program and inducing users to the space. The space storytelling is composed of the symbolism, community, and eco-friendliness to appear diversely through BIG's case analysis. This study will have significance that it drew a method and feature looked at by many contemporary architects from the storytelling viewpoint in the form-creating process, classified the form-creating process through a new storytelling type, and showed a possibility on the development of various methodologies.

NH4OH를 이용한 적황색 β-FeOOH 나노로드 길이에 따른 색상제어 연구 (Coloration Study of Red/Yellow β-FeOOH Nanorod using NH4OH Solution)

  • Fe-based pigments have attracted much interest owing to their eco-friendliness. In particular, the color of nanosized pigments can be tuned by controlling their size and morphology. This study reports on the effect of length on the coloration of ${\beta}$-FeOOH pigments prepared using an $NH_4OH$ solution. First, rod-type ${\beta}$-FeOOH is prepared by the hydrolysis of $FeCl_3{\cdot}6H_2O$ and $NH_4OH$. When the amount of $NH_4OH$ is increased, the length of the rods decreases. Thus, the length of the nanorods can be adjusted from 10 nm to 300 nm. The color of ${\beta}$-FeOOH changes from orangered to yellow depending on the length of ${\beta}$-FeOOH. The color and phase structure of ${\beta}$-FeOOH is characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, CIE Lab color parameter measurements, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD).

  • 농업용으로 사용되는 소형트랙터 개발의 최근 이슈는 친환경과 높은 연비이다. 소형 트랙터는 비닐 하우스 등 실내에서 작업이 가능하도록 설계 되므로 최근 전기 트랙터에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 전기트랙터는 배터리 등 전기에너지 저장장치의 용량 및 크기공간의 제약으로 충분한 작업시간과 성능 확보에 한계가 존재한다. 따라서 최근 전기 트랙터와 내연기관 트랙터의 특징을 결합한 플러그인 하이브리드 트랙터에 대한 개발이 진행 중이다. 트랙터는 기본 주행 능력외에 PTO 를 통한 여러 작업을 수행 할 수 있어야 하며, 플러그인 하이브리드 트랙터에서는 각각의 작업에 대한 주행전략이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 트랙터의 작업 모드를 개발하고 그에 대한 각 작업의 작업시간 능력 등을 확인하였다.

전통한지를 활용한 초등학교 바느질 교육방안에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Use of Korean Traditional Paper as Sewing Instructional Materials in Elementary School)

  • 전통한지는 서양의 종이에 비해, 보존성, 유연성, 강도, 통기성, 자외선 차단성 등 여러 우수한 성능 등을 가져 단순히 '종이' 이상의 기능을 하였다. 즉 우리 조상들은 생활 속에서 서적용지뿐 아니라 주거용(창호지, 장판지), 의류 및 생활용품의 소재 등 다양한 용도로 활용하였다. 그러나 현대에 와서는 대량생산되는 새로운 재료들에 밀려 점차 생활 속에서 자취를 감추는 듯했다. 하지만 많은 우수한 물리$.$화학적 성능, 전통미, 환경 친화적인 요소, 뛰어난 공예 활용성 등으로 오늘날 새로이 조명 받고 있어. 21세기 학교교육현장에서 '환경교육'. '창의성교육'. '전통문화교육' 위한 수업소재로서 교육적 활용가치가 충분하다고 본다. 본 연구에서는 초등 실과 바느질 수업에 전통한지를 활용하는 방안을 모색하고자, 한지의 특성 및 용도. 한지공예의 종류 등에 대해 선행연구 및 참고자료를 통해 고찰해 보았다. 또한 한지를 바느질 소재화 하기 위한 가공처리를 학교교육에서 바느질소재로 활용하기 위한 구체적인 방법과 함께 제시하였다.

한미 여대생의 의류소재 추구혜택과 천연염색 태도가 천연염색 의류의 구매의도에 미치는 영향 비교 (Purchase intention on naturally dyed clothing depending on fabric benefit sought and attitudes - A cross-cultural study between Korea and the United States -)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the purchase intention on naturally dyed clothing between Korea and the US. As independent variables that affect the purchase intention, benefits that consumers seek when purchasing naturally dyed clothing, especially for fabric materials, and attitudes towards naturally dyed clothing were selected. A quantitative research method with a survey was employed. 160 data from Korea and 180 data from the US were used for the analysis. The convenience sampling method (i.e., college female students) was used. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test and regression analysis were employed to test the differences in purchase intention, fabric benefit sought, and the attitudes. The fabric benefit sought selected for this study includes eco-friendliness, uniqueness, aesthetic, comfort and quality. The attitude toward naturally dyed clothing was categorized as an emotional and a cognitive attitude. The results show the significant differences in the fabric benefit sought depending on nationality, major and experiences in natural dyeing. Significant differences were found in of the attitude toward naturally dyed clothing among the nationalities and the experience types in natural dyeing. In addition, there were significant differences in purchase intention toward naturally dyed clothing between Korean and the US participants, and countries show different fabric benefits and attitudes which influenced participants' purchase intention. The results of this study suggest an appropriate fabric planning for environment-friendly fashion products for both countries.

SCM 친환경주입공법에 의한 차수 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Seepage Cutoff Effect of the Environmentally Friendly SCM)

  • 최근 건설현장에서 연약지반처리문제는 자주 대두되는 문제이며, 연약지반을 개량하기 위한 주입공법의 적용성에 있어서 지반개량의 확실성, 주입재의 내구성 및 환경공해문제 등의 문제점이 야기되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 연속벽체배면을 차수, 보강하는 SCM주입공법의 현장적용성을 검토한 것이다. 2중관 롯드의 중압($10{\sim}100kgf/cm^2$)에 의해 지반을 교란 및 절삭, 분사 혼합하여 알칼리 용출이 적은 친환경적 주입재와 시멘트 페이스트에 의해 구근이 형성됨을 확인하였다. 재령별 일축압축강도 시험과 환경영향성(어독성) 시험을 시행하고, 친환경적 주입재를 사용함으로써 환경공해문제 및 내구성 문제를 보완할 수 있었고, 강도의 조기발현에 의한 지반보강재로서의 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다. 또한 현장시험시공을 통해 구근형성 및 차수벽형성을 확인하고 그 효과가 양호함을 알 수 있었다.
