A Study on Self-medication for Health Promotion of the Silver Generation

  • With the development of medical care in the 21st century and the rapid development of the 4th industry, electronic devices and household goods taking into account the physical and mental aging of the silver generation have been developed, and apps related to health and health are generally developed and operated. The apps currently used by the silver generation are a form that provides information on diseases by focusing on prevention rather than treatment, such as safety management apps for the elderly living alone and methods for preventing diseases. There are not many apps that provide information on foods that have a direct effect and nutrients in that food, and research on apps that can obtain information about individual foods is insufficient. In this paper, we propose an app that analyzes food factors and provides self-medication for health promotion of the silver generation. This app allows the silver generation to conveniently and easily obtain information such as nutrients, calories, and efficacy of food they need. In addition, this app collects/categorizes healthy food information through a textom solution-based crawling agent, and stores highly relevant words in a data resource. In addition, wide deep learning was applied to enable self-medication recommendations for food. When this technique is applied, the most appropriate healthy food is suggested to people with similar eating patterns and tastes in the same age group, and users can receive recommendations on customized healthy foods that they need before eating. This made it possible to obtain convenient healthy food information through a customized interface for the elderly through a smartphone.

  • Objectives: Driven by a growth of single-person households and individualized lifestyles, solo dining in restaurants is an increasingly recognizable trend. However, a research gap exists in the comparison of solo and group diners' menu-decision making processes. Based on the self-control dilemma and the temporal construal theory as a theoretical framework, this study compared the ordering intentions of solo vs. group diners with healthy vs. indulgent (less healthy) entrées. The mediating role of consumption orientation and the moderating role of amount of menu nutrition information were further explored to understand the mechanism and a boundary condition. Methods: A scenario-based online survey was developed using a 2 (dining social context: solo vs. with others) × 3 (amount of menu nutrition information: no nutrition information vs. calories vs. calories/fat/sodium), between-subjects, experimental design. Consumers' level of nutrition involvement was controlled. A nationwide survey data (n = 224) were collected from a crowdsourcing platform in the U.S. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance, independent t-test, univariate analysis of covariance, and moderated mediation analyses. Results: Findings reveal that solo (vs. group) diners have less (vs. more) intentions to order indulgent menu items due to a more utilitarian (vs. more hedonic) consumption orientation in restaurant dining. Findings also show that solo (vs. group) diners have more (vs. less) intentions to order healthy menu items when the restaurant menu presented nutrition information including calories, fat, and sodium. Conclusions: The findings contribute to the literature of foodservice management, healthy eating, and consumer behavior by revealing a mechanism and an external stimuli of solo vs. group diners' healthy menu-decision making process in restaurants. Furthermore, the findings provide restauranteurs and health professionals with insights into the positive and negative impacts of menu nutrition labelling on consumers' menu-decisions.

대사증후군 위험 요인을 가진 독거노인의 질병관리교육 경험과 심혈관건강행태에 대한 융합적 연구 (Convergence study of the Disease Management Educational Experience and Cardiovascular Health Behaviors of Elderly Living Alone having Risk Factors of Metabolic Syndrome)

  • 본 연구는 대사증후군의 진단에 포함된 고혈압, 당뇨병을 가진 65세 이상 독거노인을 대상으로 의료인이 행한 질병관리교육이 대사증후군 발생을 예방할 수 있는 건강행태에 미치는 영향을 밝히기 위한 조사연구이다. 2014년 지역사회건강 조사 자료로부터 10분이상의 질병관리 교육 경험에 대한 문항이 있는 고혈압과 당뇨병을 가진 독거노인 9,042명을 자료로 이용하였다. 자료의 분석은 ${\chi}^2-test$, 다중 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 질병관리교육 경험이 있는 독거노인의 경우, 심혈관 건강관련 인자의 수치에 대한 인지율이 높았으며(p<.001), 주당 3일 이상 걷기를 시행할 확률은 1.145배(p=.002), 현재 음주를 하지 않을 확률은 1.212배(p<.001), 싱겁게 먹을 확률은 1.184배(p=.002)로 나타났다. 본 연구결과로부터 독거노인에게 건강정보 제공시 의료인에 의한 교육의 중요성과 이를 반영한 건강증진정책의 개발이 요구된다.

먹방의 유행과 문화현상 연구 (A Study on the Trend and the Cultural Phenomenon of Mukbang)

  • 2000년대 초반 뉴미디어 플랫폼을 통해 등장한 '먹방'은, 사회경제적 조건의 악화 속에서 혼자 식사를 해야 하는 청년 세대의 삶을 반영하였다. 많은 젊은이들이 먹방을 함께 시청하며, 비슷하게 어려운 처지를 겪는 이들과 가상적 일상 생활의 공동체를 구축하며 위안을 얻을 수 있었다. 이후 먹방은 사회를 반영하며, 또한 시청자의 요구를 수용하며 다양한 형태로 진화하여, 현재는 한국에서만이 아니라 글로벌 현상이 되었다. 기존 연구는 이런 먹방의 성장과 변화보다는 초반에 나타나는 화제거리로서의 현상에만 주목하여 먹방을 제한적으로 다루고 있다. 본 논문은 이런 한계를 비판적으로 검토하며, 먹방의 성장과 발전이 사회적 변화 과정과 어떻게 상호작용하며 전개되었는가, 그리고 이런 먹방의 고유성이 어떻게 뉴 미디어의 특성 속에서 등장할 수 있었는 가를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 통해 먹방이 세계적 현상으로 성장한 맥락과 기존 미디어에 미친 영향 등을 두루 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다.

알레르기성 질환자의 우울증 유무에 따른 영양 상태 연구: 국민건강영양조사 데이터를 이용하여 (A Study of the Nutritional Status According to the State of Depression of Allergic Disease Patients: Based on the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey)

  • This study was conducted on the nutritional status of 1,805 patients with allergic diseases (atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, and asthma) aged 19 to 64 years according to their state of depression, based on the data from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) was used to diagnose depression. Subjects with a score of 10 or more were categorized into the depression group (n=152) and the rest into the non-depression group (n=1,653). The results of this study were as follows: The proportion of women (75.7%) was higher than that of men (24.3%) in the depressed group (P<0.01). In terms of energy intake per 1,000 kcal, both men and women in the depressed group showed a lower energy intake than the non-depressed group and this intake was less than the estimated energy requirement (EER). The nutrient intakes of protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, and vitamin C were below the estimated average requirement (EAR). Also, the intakes of fiber and potassium were less than the adequate intake (AI) (P<0.001). In the lifestyle parameters, the ratio of eating alone at lunch was 54.1%:33.1%, indicating that more than half of the depression group ate alone. In conclusion, it was observed that the nutritional status of allergic disease patients was imbalanced. The nutritional imbalance was due to insufficient energy intake and inadequate intake of nutrients, which was below the average requirements of vitamins and minerals and this was more evident in the depression group than in the non-depression group.

볏짚 및 가공처리 왕겨의 급여가 한우의 사료섭취 및 반추행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Rice Straw and Rice Hull Supplement on Rumination and Chewing Behavior in Hanwoo Steers)

  • 본 연구는 한우에 급여하는 저질 조사료 원 이 반추시간 및 빈도, 저작시간 및 저작빈도에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실시하였다. 시험사료는 농후사료 + 볏짚(50:50), 농후사료 + 볏짚 + 팽연왕겨(50:35:15), 농후사료+ 볏짚 + 분쇄왕겨(50:35:15)을 사용하였다. 농후사료 + 볏짚(50:50), 농후사료+ 볏짚 + 팽연왕겨(50:35:15) 및 농후사료+ 볏짚+분쇄왕겨(50:35:15)를 섭취한 한우의 사료섭취 및 반추시간은 각각 78.8과 338.4, 98.0과 362.5, 그리고 160과 519.2minld이었다. 벗짚의 30%를 팽연왕겨나 분쇄왕겨로 대체하였올 때 사료섭취 및 반추시간이 유의하게 증가하였으며 (p<0.05), 1일 반추시 총 저작횟수와 본당 저작횟수는 팽연왕겨와 분쇄왕겨를 급여하였올 때 유의하게 감소하였다(p<0.05). 또한 일일 총 반추식괴수와 반추분당 식괴수도 팽연왕겨와 분쇄왕겨를 급여할 때에 감소되었지만, 식괴당 저작시간과 저작횟수는 증가되었다(p<0.05). 이러한 결과는 볏짚과는 다른 물리척 폭성을 행연왕겨와 분쇄왕겨가 갖고 있고, 왕겨의 조사료적인 가치는 왕겨가 갖고 있는 물리척인 유효성에 의하여 반추위가 자극펀 결과에 의한 것으로 생각된다.

國內詞育 원숭이의 血淸 LDH의 總活性値와 isoenzyme에 관한 硏究 (Studies on the Serum Total Activities and Isoenzyme PAtterns of LDH in Non-Human Primates Reared in Korea)

  • Non-human primates have been increasing in demand as important experimental animals and companion animals, domestically and internationally. The number of non-human primates for these purposes will be much enhanced in the near future. Despite this trend, basic physiological data are scarcely available in these animal species, leading to the difficulty to diagnose diseases when necessary, due to the absence of reference values. Particularly, there is not any report on the total activity of LDH of non-human primates, let alone LDH isoenzyme patterns, in Korea. LDH isoenzymes have a high level of efficaciousness as diagnostic and prognostic aids in various diseases. In this study, total activities and isoenzyme patterns of LDH were measured to obtain their reference values in domestically reared common marmosets, crab-eating macaques and Japanese macaques. There were widespread different values of serum total LDH among the non-human primate species experimented in this study. Serum LDH values of common marmosets and crab-eating macaques were 597.5$\pm$243.1 IU/l and 605.3$\pm$312.6 IU/l, respectively, whereas those of Japanese macaque showed 1,209$\pm$473.8 IU/l. Five isoenzyme fractions of LDH were observed in all experimented non-human primates but their ranks and proportions represented different patterns one another. In common marmosets, the percent of fraction for serum LDH1, LDH$_2$, LDH$_3$, LDH$_4$, and LDH$_{5}$ was 13.7$\pm$6.4%, 23.3$\pm$3.6%, 29.2$\pm$5.0%, 9.4$\pm$1.4% and 24.4$\pm$7.5%, respectively. The rank of LDH isoenzymes was LDH$_3$>LDH$_{5}$>LDH$_2$>LDH$_1$>LDH$_4$, in the descending order. For crab-eating macaques, the fraction of serum LDH$_1$, LDH$_2$, LDH$_3$, LDH$_4$, and LDH$_{5}$ occupied 19.5$\pm$12.7%, 25.3$\pm$9.3%, 23.8$\pm$8.1%, 10.2$\pm$2.8% and 21.3$\pm$14.2%, respectively. The order of LDH isoenzymes was LDH$_2$>LDH$_3$>LDH$_{5}$>LDH$_1$>LDH$_4$, from top to down. On the while, in Japanese macaques, the fraction of serum LDH$_1$ to LDH$_{5}$ showed 23.4$\pm$11.8%, 30.5$\pm$4.1%, 17.4$\pm$3.9%, 11.3$\pm$3.7% and 13.8$\pm$5.6%, respectively. The decreasing order indicated LDH$_2$>LDH$_1$>LDH$_3$>LDH$_{5}$>LDH$_4$. In conclusion, values such as LDH and LDH isoenzyme patterns of investigated for the first time from non-human primates reaared in Korea, could be reference values for the optimal diagnosis and therapy of diseases of the corresponding animal species. Other parameters of hematology and blood biochemistry are urgently needed to study for the benefit of our intimate non-human primates.an primates.

수도권에 거주하는 1인 가구 식생활 태도 조사 (Dietary Attitude of Single Households in Metropolitan Areas)

  • This study conducted a survey with 203 single households among men and women in their 20s to 40s who were living in metropolitan areas from October 6 to November 4, 2012 in order to investigate the dietary attitude of the single households. The ratio of single households who had three meals a day regularly was 2.85 points, which was lower than the normal level, and it turned out that those in their 20s and 30s had meals more regularly than those in their 40s did (p<0.001). As for the irregular meal time, most were breakfast (85.9%), and it turned out that they often skipped meals mostly because they did not have time to eat and (41.7%) or because that bothered them (26.0%). 62.6% of the single households did overeating and most of them (39.4%) did overeating because of their irregular meals. Of the single households, women or persons who had lived alone for less than 3 years or more than 7 years cooked at home, more often (p<0.05), and most of them (42%) cooked noodles, easy to cook, but women cooked Korean food-based homemade food such as rice (31.7%) or soup and stew (21.2%), often (p<0.05). It turned out that 36.9% of the single households often ate out about two to three times a day, and as for their favorite eating-out menus, 39.4% were Korean food, followed by Western food (23.8%), flour-based food (13.5%), fast food (9.8%), Chinese food (7.3%) and Japanese food (6.2%). Lastly, as for inconveniences when they ate out, most were the 'price' (22.8%), followed by 'too much amount of food for one person' (20.2%) and 'limitations in menu selection' (19.2%). As a result of this study, it appeared that the single households had an irregular dietary life, often did overeating and often ate out, so it is judged that it would be necessary to develop a variety of nutritionally-balanced HMR food and eating-out menus in a reasonable price range for their healthy dietary life.

저체중 독거노인의 질병과 건강행태 : 2014년 지역사회건강조사 자료를 중심으로 (Disease and Health Behavior of Low-Weight Elderly Living Alone : Focusing on the Community Health Survey 2014)

  • 본 연구는 독거노인의 질병과 건강행태의 파악을 통해 독거노인의 저체중에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하기 위한 조사연구이다. 2014년 지역사회건강조사 원시자료를 활용하였으며, 65세 이상 저체중 독거노인 922명의 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS/WIN 22.0 프로그램의 복합표본분석 모듈을 이용하여, 기술통계, Rao Scott $x^2$ test, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 독거노인들은 만성질환을 가지고 있는 비율이 높았으며, 흡연, 음주, 운동량 부족, 짜게 먹는 식습관, 틀니사용에 의한 저작 불편, 나쁜 주관적 건강상태와 같은 좋지 않은 건강행태를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과 독거노인의 성별에 따른 저체중 발생 위험확률은 다음과 같다. 흡연으로 인한 저체중 위험도는 여자노인에서 가끔 피우는 경우 3.004배, 걷기량으로 인한 저체중 위험도는 3일미만 걷는 사람이 저체중일 가능성은 1.420배로 유의하게 높았다. 주관적 스트레스를 많이 느끼는 경우 저체중일 가능성은 남자노인에서 2.220배, 여자노인에서 1.282배로 유의하게 높았다. 주관적 건강수준이 나쁜 사람이 저체중일 가능성은 남자노인에서 3.633배, 여자노인에서 1.590배로 유의하게 높았다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 저체중 독거노인의 건강행태 개선을 위한 적절한 간호중재의 수립과 관리방안의 마련이 필요하다. 또한, 저체중 독거노인에 대한 신체적, 심리적, 사회적 특성 등의 다양한 변인을 고려한 반복연구가 필요할 것이다.

급성관상동맥증후군 남성 환자의 흡연과 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Predicting Factors of Smoking and Emotional Stress among Male Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the factors that predict a current smoking behavior and higher emotional stress among male patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: The study was approved by an institutional review board from a university hospital, 2010. A face to face interview using questionnaires was performed with 185 first-time ACS male patients who were undertaken a percutaneous coronary intervention at a cardiovascular care unit. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 15.0. Results: About 54% of the study subjects were currently smoking. The current smokers had dyslipidemia and reported bad eating habits compared to the non-smokers. The current smokers were younger, living alone, and reported lower perceived benefit on smoking cessation than the non-smokers, and 15% of them did not consider quitting (precontemplation stage). Smoking status was not significantly related to emotional stress. Logistic regression analysis revealed that being employed including professional or labor increased the odds of current smoking four or three times compared to the non-employed or retired. Low income or dyslipidemia also increased the likelihood of current smoking 2.8 and 2.1 times, respectively. Blue collar workers or heavy drinkers had 2.9 and 2.8 times more risks of having higher level of stress. Conclusion: An occupational background and health habits should be considered to develop an effective educational strategy for smoking cessation and stress reduction among male patients with ACS.
