건설기계·장비의 안전재해 네트워크 및 위험도 분석 (An Analysis on the Safety Accident Network and Risk Level of Construction Machine and Equipment)

  • In order to seek out methods to reduce safety accidents caused by construction machinery and equipment, this study collects data about safety accidents and draws main risk factors by construction from the data, through SNA. It aimed to suggest safety management points to be used in future construction fields, by analyzing risk index of such factors. The finding can be summarized: First, Backhoe Bucket is the risk factor for crash accidents of average workers in earth works; boring machines-maintenance is the risk factor for fall accidents of construction machinery operators in foundation works; bending machine-reinforcing rod processing is the risk factor for jamming accidents of reinforcing rod engineers in frame works; and mobile crane-hook is the risk factor for crash accidents of average workers in lifting works. Second, works can be arranged in turn, according to the risk index: earth, lifting, frame and foundation works. Risk factors can be also arranged according to the risk index: Backhoe in earth works, pile drivers in foundation works, bending machines in frame works and mobile cranes in lifting works. This study has some limits, in that it only analyzed main machinery/equipment, among various kinds of them, for earth, foundation, frame and temporary works (lifting works) and used data collected over three years. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an analysis using big data, by collecting additional data about a lot of machinery/equipment in future construction fields.

3차원 설계를 통한 도로설계단계의 토공 자동물량 산정 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Automated Quantity Take-off Methods of Earth Works in Road Design using 3D Design Concept)

  • 최근 국내외에서 3차원 설계 및 건설정보모델링(BIM, Building Information Modeling)에 대한 관심이 증가하고 토목 구조물의 3차원 설계와 물량 산출 방법에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 도로나 철도의 교량 및 터널과 같은 구조물 중심의 설계 및 물량 산출에 대한 연구는 많이 진행되고 있지만 토공이 중심인 공정에 대한 물량 산출 방안 및 그 결과에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 원 지표면과 최종 토공면을 불규칙한 경우와 일정한 경사를 가진 경우로 구분하여, 3차원 설계를 진행하였다. 3차원 설계 및 물량 산출 결과 2차원 설계에서 적용되는 양단면 평균법에 대하여 복합토량법이 최대 5%정도 오차가 발생하는 것으로 나타나 3차원 설계에 대한 물량 산출방법 적용시 주의가 필요하며, 산출 결과와 함께 산출 방법도 같이 명기되어야 할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Since discovery, NdFeB permanent magnet has replaced application of the conventional magnets rapidly because of its superior physical and mechanical properties. With increasing consumption of power combined with energy resource depletion, energy efficiency is becoming more and more inportant. According to recent reports, almost almost half of the electric power is consumed by motor, and NdFeB magnets which are the core component of the motor play a key role on improving energy efficiency of the devices. In parallel with finding alternatives energy resources, research works improving energy efficiecy have been conducted world wide. Althogh NdFeB magnets usage have been expanded to various applications, key materials such as Nd and Dy, resouces lean heavily on specific area, China. Magnetic industry revently experienced skyrocketing price fluctuatioin of rare earth at around 2008. Chineses government's regulations worsened the situation and arose a necessity to develop methods to minimize rare earth use. In this presentation, POSCO's recent research works on rare earth reduction is presented including novel powder alloying method using nitrate precursors. Also, future R&D plans for rare earth free magnets is briefly introduced as well.

흙건축 공법의 시대적 관점에 따른 조적 및 미장시공 사례분석 (A Case Analysis on the Brickworks and Plastering Works of the Earth Construction according to the Periodical Perspective)

  • We intend to offer theoretical bases of earth construction technology through the analysis of cases of brickworks and plastering works in the city of Gumi, Kyeongsangbukdo. We search for those instances of earth buildings to confirm the trend that earth construction is recognized as environment-friendly, sustainable and newly spotlighted field to alternatives of building construction. We made a frame of analysis through theoretical consideration about earth construction and prior study. Then, we analyzed the selected buildings which is selected by priority in the city of Gumi as authorized preservation value, cultural assets and recently built modern constructions. We found out some problems in structural strength, durability and fire proofing and the invisible development of technologies of earth construction method in this case analysis.

  • The earth retaining walls using stabilizing piles can be applied to shallow excavation works without any stiffener. But, It demends a variety of installed composite stiffener on the earth retaining walls when it is installed as deep excavation works. Because, it causes an excessive displacement of walls. This research tried to overcome the problems created by the above issues and intended to apply the composite stiffener. The model test, focused on the effect of installed composite stiffener, measured the bending stress with stabilizing piles and walls, the settlement of earth surface, the displacement of walls for a step excavation and an increase in strip load. With the test results and soil deformation analysis, the reinforcement effect(relating to control displacement and earth presure) was analyzed in a qualitative and quantitative manner. It is expected to overcome a deep excavation works.

천지공사의 공공윤리 실천전망에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prospect of Implementing a Public Common Practice of Ethics Based upon the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth)

  • 본 연구는 '천지공사(天地公事)'의 공공윤리 실천전망에 관한 연구를 목적으로 한다. 천지공사는 공적 영역과 사적 영역이 서로 이어지고 매개하는 공공작용을 통해 공공윤리 실천전망을 보여준다. 천지공사는 삼계 통래(通來)로 대순진리를 관철시키는 공사이다. 본 연구방법으로 천지공사가 소개된 문헌을 면밀히 분석하는 문헌연구와 공공윤리 전망을 모색하는 해석학적 기제를 함께 사용한다. 이는 공과 사를 이어주고 매개하는 '공사공매' 지표, 공공행복 추구의 '행복공창' 지표, 개체를 살려 공적 가치를 드러내는 '활사개공' 지표의 기제이다. 공공윤리 지표는 물질과 영혼, 초월과 내재, 성과 속 사이의 간극을 해소하는 능동성으로 말미암아 공공책임을 수반한다. 천지공사는 '음양합덕' 담론에서 시작하여 '신인조화(調化)'의 공공소통을 이루고 '해원상생'의 존재론적 축복으로 연결된다. 도통선경으로 상호호혜의 결실을 맺기에, 천지공사와 인존사사(人尊私事)는 공공의 성상원융(性相圓融)을 이루어 천지인삼재 일원상(一圓相)을 이룬다. 이러한 공공실천 전망은 감성·이성 상관연동의 소통의 공사공매, 해원·보은 상관연동의 상생의 행복공창, 그리고 도통·선경 상관연동의 인존의 활사개공으로 연결되기에 이를 상관연동으로 고찰한다. 천지공사를 주재하는 '인신현현(人神顯現)'의 구천상제는 공공동량 구제 사업에 임하였다. '활사개공'의 공공윤리 지표는 도통군자에 나타나 있다. 천지공사로서 선천세계가 개벽되고 지상천국이 건설된다. 천지공사 공공윤리 전망으로 온 누리에 선경의 화평세상을 이룩하기에, 세계시민성·우주시민성 시대도래를 예견할 수 있다.

AN ACCOUNT OF INDIAN ASTRONOMICAL HERITAGE FROM THE 5th CE to 12th CE

  • Astronomical observation is the beginning of scientific attitudes in the history of mankind. According to Indian tradition, there existed 18 early astronomical texts (siddhantas) composed by Surya, Pitamaha and many others. Varahamihira compiled five astronomical texts in a book named panchasiddhantika, which is now the link between early and later siddhantas. Indian scholars had no practice of writing their own names in their works, so, it is very difficult to identify them. Aryabhata is the first name noticed, in the book Aryabhatiya. After this point most astronomers and astro-writers wrote their names in their works. In this paper I have tried to analyze the works of astronomers like Aryabhata, Varahamihira, Brahmagupta, Bhaskara I, Vateswara, Sripati and Bhaskaracharya in a modern context and to obtain an account of Indian astronomical knowledge. Aryabhata is the first Indian astronomer who stated that the rising and setting of the Sun, the Moon and other heavenly bodies was due to the relative motion of the Earth caused by the rotation of the Earth about its own axis. He also estabished the 'yuga' theory (one Mahayuga = 432000 years). Varahamihira compiled panchasiddhantika and wrote Brihatsamhita. Brahmagupta is the most distinguished astronomer known to us. His two major works are i) Brahmasphutasiddhanta and ii) Khandkhadaka. Bhaskara I was the follower of Aryabhata. His three known works are Mahabhaskariya, Laghubhaskariya and Aryabhatiyabhasya. Vateswara follows Aryapaksha and Saurapaksha. His master work is Vateswarasiddhanta. Sripati, in his siddhantasekhara, gives the rules for determining the Moon's second inequality. Bhaskara II wrote the most comprehensive astronomical work in Indian astronomy. The result of these works is the account of the Indian astronomical heritage. These works are written in the Sanskrit language. A very few of these manuscripts have been translated in English but many are yet to be done. So, it is necessary to translate these astronomical texts into English with proper commentary for modern scholars. This paper will be helpful in this work.

IBS 빌딩에서의 서어지 저감을 위한 접지방안 연구 (A Study on Grounding Technology for the Reduction of Electric Surge in IBS Building)

  • According to the realization of highly information dependent society, the recent building system is developed into the concept of suitable for management of intellegent work, which is demanded to unify of IBS(Intelligent Building System), IC(information communication), OA(office automation), BA(building automation) system and computer technology. However inspite of the presence arrester, cable shielding, insulated TR, filter, earth etc., in the IBS building for the cope with several surge and noise has several problems from the wrong operation of the equipment which caused from several surge, damage of equipment, and noise etc. And the miss operation caused by wrong earth works, which must be considered at first during the building construction. In order to minimize these problems, it's necessary that various earth project are performed effectively, and bonding methods between the mutual wiring of earth system and the equipments in the building should be improved sucessively. So in this paper, we analyze present domestic conditions of the earth technology in IBS building, and propose minimization method for the various surge and noise problem, and examine and analyze through the applied works.

  • The alignment design is one of the most influencing elements in earth work for the railway design. The amount of earth work mostly depends on the route, and the construction cost for railway construction largely depends on it. For this reason. it is necessary to develop a program for the construction cost estimation by route alternatives. This study introduces a program for the estimation of the earth work amount including the logics and the way to use.

Damage to earth structures by the 2004 Niigata-ken Chuetsu earthquake in Japan and their rehabilitation works

  • Damage to earth structures for roads, railways and residential areas, as well as dams and river levees, during the 2004 Niigata-ken Chuetsu earthquake in Japan, and their rehabilitation works are overviewed. Several influential factors are pointed out, such as a) heavy rainfall preceding the earthquake, b) large aftershocks, c) geological conditions for subsoil including existence of liquefiable layers, d) compaction degrees for embankment, and e) drainage capacity from subsoil/embankments. It is also reported that, in the reconstruction works of damaged roads and railways, preferred use of geogrid-reinforced soil retaining walls was implemented.
