This paper is about utilizing magnetic sensor to measure magnetic signal and analyze the form of magnetic signal for vehicle detection. For magnetic sensor, MR sensor from Honeywell company was used, and Helmholtz coil of which 3 axis' length is 1.2 m was manufactured to check the capability of the sensor and estimate its ability to detect the magnetic field. Vehicle detection was performed in following steps: installing sensor in road lane and non-road lane; estimating magnetic field when the vehicle is run by the driver; and estimating magnetic field of 7 different vehicles with different sizes. Also, sensor was installed at SUV and small-sized vehicle's park and non-park area to analyze the form of magnetic field. Lastly, the form of magnetic field made by different parts of the vehicle was analyzed. Based on the analysis, the form of magnetic field's magnetic peak value was bigger for road lane than non-road lane, complicated form was useful to distinguish the road lane above the installed sensor and the location of the running car, and the types of vehicle could be sorted because the variance of the magnetic field was bigger for bigger size of the vehicle. Also, it was confirmed that the forms of vehicle in parts-by-parts estimates.

This paper investigated the separation of magnetic signal from a ferro-magnetic object. The magnetic signals were ILM(induced longitudinal magnetization) and IVM(induced vertical magnetization), which were induced by earth magnetic field and PLM(permanent longitudinal magnetization) and PVM(permanent vertical magnetization), which were due to a permanent magnetization of the object, respectively. Magnetic signal separation was based on the fact that magnetization vector could be analyzed according to longitudinal and vertical directions. Also the influence of non-uniform magnetic field from a rectangular coil on the separation was examined. A military vessel with a size close to rectangular coil has more errors on the magnetic signal separation.
Translation induced by the field-gradient force is being observed for a single ferromagnetic iron grain and a ferrimagnetic grain of a ferrite sample ($CuFe_2O_4$). From measurements on the translation, precise saturated magnetization of $M_S$ is possible for a single grain. The method is based on the energy conservation rule assumed for the grain during its translation and the grain is translated through a diffuse area under microgravity conditions. The results of the two materials indicate that a field-induced translation of grain bearing spontaneous moment is generally determined by a field-induced potential $-mM_SH(x)$ where m denotes the mass of sample. According to the above translations, the detection of $M_S$ is not interfered by any signals from the sample holder. The $M_S$ measurement does not require m value. By observing translations resulting from fieldinduced volume forces, the magnetization of a single grain is measurable irrespective of its size; the principle is also applicable to measuring susceptibility of diamagnetic and paramagnetic materials.
RFe$_2$(R=rare earth) Laves Phase intermetallic compounds are one of the promising materials for magnetostrictive applications, due to large magnetostriction coefficients in the order of 10$^{-3}$ . However, because RFe$_2$intermetallic compounds have large magnetostriction constants as well as large magnetocrystalline anisotropy constants, a large external magnetic field is necessary to reach saturation magnetostriction. Hence researches on giant magnetostriction have been concentrated on producing materials exhibiting a high value of magnetostriction in a low magentic field. The main research trend of the giant magnetostriction to obtain the large value in the low magnetic filed, fortunately as the signs of magnetocrystalline anisotropy constans in RFe$_2$intermetallic compounds alternate with the rare earth metals, has been to substitute the rare earth metal for others and hence to reduce the magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy. In addition, amorphous RFe$_2$alloys have been researched. In this research, both of the methods which are substitution of the rare earth metal and amorphization in RFe$_2$ intermetallic compounds are simultaneously conducted to obtain the large magnetostriction coefficient in the low external magnetic field. Among them, SmFe$_2$and PrFe$_2$are selected, and amorphized in substrate-free bulk state. Magnetism in amorphous bulk (Sm$_{1-x}$ Pr$_{x}$) Fe$_2$alloys is investigated in the low magnetic field.ld.

This paper studied on the influence of naval vessel shape on vertical magnetic field after the vessel was demagnetized. The triangular shape, the rectangular shape and circular shape were adaped from vessel's structual drawings. Magneto-static FEM analysis was performed to obtain the iduced magnetic field due to earth magnetic field for those shapes. During demagnetization process, magnetic field of residual magnetization was observed. The holizontal and vertical magnetic field were calculated depending on vertical bias magnetic field through magnetc component seperation. To demagnetize naval vessel ship, demagnetizing coils shoud be wound more finely in the vow and stern of the ship than it should be in the mid-part of the ship.

The design and development if Resonant-type Magnetometer(RM) using isotropic magnetic with high permeability is described in this paper. At first, the relationship between the inductance L if the coil winding on a magnetic material and the permeability u(H) appearing in the magnetic material with isotropic and high permeability is defined as a background theory. Then the circuit if RM, which is to obtain the values if L as the change qf frequency is implemented using simple Schmitt Trigger Circuit Through the swinging tests, which is to evaluate the measurement ability if RM, the measurement possibility for the component of earth field was confined.
The dynamical evolution of the Earth's magnetosphere loaded with a transiently enhanced ring current is studied by numerical magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation. Two cases with different values of the primitive ring current are considered. In one case, the initial ring current is strong enough to create a magnetic island in the magnetosphere. The magnetic island readily reconnects with the earth-connected ambient field and is destroyed as the system approaches a steady equilibrium. In the other case, the initial ring current is not so strong, and the initial magnetic field configuration bears no magnetic island, but a wake of bent field lines, which is smoothed out through the relaxing evolution of the magnetosphere. The relaxation time of the magnetosphere is found to be about five to six minutes, over which the ring current is reduced to about a quarter of its initial value. Before reaching a steady state, the magnetosphere is found to undergo an overshooting expansion and a subsequent contraction. Fast and slow magnetosonic waves are identified to play an important role in the relaxation toward equilibrium.

When an interplanetary (IP) shock passes over the Earth's magnetosphere, the geosynchronous magnetic field strength near the noon is always enhanced, while the geosynchronous magnetic field near the midnight decreases or increases. In order to understand what determines the positive or negative magnetic field response at nightside geosynchronous orbit to sudden increases in the solar wind dynamic pressure, we have examined 120 IP shock-associated sudden commencements (SC) using magnetic field data from the GOES spacecraft near the midnight (MLT = 2200~0200) and found the following magnetic field perturbation characteristics. (1) There is a strong seasonal dependence of geosynchronous magnetic field perturbations during the passage of IP shocks. That is, the SC-associated geosynchronous magnetic field near the midnight increases (a positive response) in summer and decreases (a negative response) in winter. (2) These field perturbations are dominated by the radial magnetic field component rather than the north-south magnetic field component at nightside geosynchronous orbit. (3) The magnetic elevation angles corresponding to positive and negative responses decrease and increase, respectively. These field perturbation properties can be explained by the location of the cross-tail current enhancement during SC interval with respect to geosynchronous spacecraft position.

Coal is the most abundant fossil fuel on Earth and is used in a wide range of applications. The direct combustion of high-sulfur coal produces a large amount of sulfur dioxide, which is a toxic and corrosive gas. A new superconducting high gradient magnetic separation (HGMS) technology was studied to remove sulfur from high sulfur coal. The magnetic separation concentrate was obtained under the optimum parameters, such as a particle size of -200 mesh, a magnetic field strength of 2.0 T, a slurry concentration of 15 g/L, and a slurry flow rate of 600 ml/min. The removal rate of sulfur is up to 59.9%. The method uses a magnetic field to remove sulfur-containing magnetic material from a pulverized coal solution. It is simple process with, high efficiency, and is a new way.
Conventional global magnetic field maps, such as daily updated synoptic maps, have been constructed by merging together a series of observations from the Earth's viewing direction taken over a 27-day solar rotation period to represent the full surface of the Sun. It has limitations to predict real-time farside magnetic fields, especially for rapid changes in magnetic fields by flux emergence or disappearance. Here, we construct accurate synchronic magnetic field maps using frontside and AI-generated farside data. To generate the farside data, we train and evaluate our deep learning model with frontside SDO observations. We use an improved version of Pix2PixHD with a new objective function and a new configuration of the model input data. We compute correlation coefficients between real magnetograms and AI-generated ones for test data sets. Then we demonstrate that our model better generate magnetic field distributions than before. We compare AI-generated farside data with those predicted by the magnetic flux transport model. Finally, we assimilate our AI-generated farside magnetograms into the flux transport model and show several successive global magnetic field data from our new methodology.
