This paper presents a statistical model-based noise suppression approach for voice recognition in a car environment. In order to alleviate the spectral whitening and signal distortion problem in the traditional decision-directed Wiener filter, we combine a decision-directed method with an original spectrum reconstruction method and develop a new two-stage noise reduction filter estimation scheme. When a tradeoff between the performance and computational efficiency under resource-constrained automotive devices is considered, ETSI standard advance distributed speech recognition font-end (ETSI-AFE) can be an effective solution, and ETSI-AFE is also based on the decision-directed Wiener filter. Thus, a series of voice recognition and computational complexity tests are conducted by comparing the proposed approach with ETSI-AFE. The experimental results show that the proposed approach is superior to the conventional method in terms of speech recognition accuracy, while the computational cost and frame latency are significantly reduced.

The uplink capacity and the interference statistics of the sectors of the cigar-shaped W-CDMA microcells are studied. A model of 9 base station, assumed to be in a long tunnel, is used for the uplink analysis. The capacity and the interference statistics of the microcells are studied for different sector ranges, different propagation exponents, different antenna sidelobe levels, and different bend losses.

국제 표준화 기구인 ITU, ISO/IEC JTC1을 비롯해 지역 표준화 기구인 ETSI, 국가 기구인 Committee T1, TTA 등은 표준의 신속한 제정 및 적기의 공급을 위해 각각의 표준화 절차에 기반한 전자적 문서처리(EDH)시스템을 구축하고, 이를 통해 표준화 진행에 관련된 각종 정보를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 전자적 환경을 구축하는데 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 고에서는 유럽의 ETSI, 미국의 Committee T1, 국제 기구인 JTC1, 지역 표준화 협력기구인 GSC, 그리고 지난해 7월 조직 개편을 단행한 한국정보통신기술협회(TTA)를 대상으로 최근 인터넷 관련 각종 정보처리기술을 이용하여, 이를 표준화 절차에 활용하고 있는 전자적 작업방법 및 이와 관련된 지침을 조사분석하였다.

ETSI M2M Platforms provide general infra services for machine-to-machine communication. In this paper, we propose a service-level integration methodology which can integrate a ETSI M2M platform with heterogeneous web applications based on WSDL 2.0. Considered heterogeneous web applications are the ones that use SOAP, HTTP and CoAP protocols for inter-communication. The proposed WSDL 2.0-based service-level integration methodology includes the followings; (1) We present a method of how to describe standardized M2M platform service interfaces into a WSDL 2.0 document. (2) A proposed web client generator is used to generates SOAP, HTTP and CoAP client codes from the WDSL 2.0 document. (3) We propose protocol conversion proxies which translate protocols into other protocols in web service run-time.

TTA 대표로서 참가하였던 ETSI 제24차 기술총회(TA)와 제25차 총회(GA) 결과를 정리하였다. 이번 회의의 가장 큰 관심사는 EPII(European Project of Information Infrastructure) 작업결과였으며, GMM (Global Multimedia Mobility) 관련 작업보고서도 관심을 갖게 하는 분야다. 지면 관계상 항목별 상세 정보는 싣지 못하였으므로 관심있는 분은 참조문헌을 참조하기 바란다.

Patent information, which is generated under a specific, objective rule for a prolonged period of time, has the properties of technology, right, and management. Because of these characteristics of patents, patent analysis is used to identify R&D capacities and performances, and management strategies of a given nation or enterprise. In this paper, we analyze LTE essential patents which are key IPRs for implementing standardized LTE technology and major weapons in a global patent war. Also, we discuss the status of standard patent data, main applicants and standardization trends based on declared in ETSI standard patents. Especially, we analyzed 15,073 patents data which are possible to analyze patent information.

현재 세계 각국마다 국가차원에서 전략적으로 추진하고 있는 정보통신기반 구축에 있어서 표준화는 무엇보다도 중요한 절대적 요소로서 인식하고 있다. 선진국과 마찬가지로 유럽도 유럽연합을 중심으로 유럽지역의 산업체 경쟁력을 제고하고 신규 고용창출을 증대하기 위해 새로운 정보기반구조(EII:European Information Infrastructure)를 구축하고 있으며, 유럽전기통신표준협회의 전략검토위원회가 EII와 관련된 표준화를 위해 우선적으로 검토해야 할 사항들을 연구.분석하여 필요한 권고사항들을 제시함으로써 표준화 기반을 마련해 나가고 있다. 본 고에서는 국내의 초고속정보통신 표준화를 효율적으로 추진하는데 도움을 주고자 제22차 ETSI 기술총회에 제출한 EII 관련 전략검토위원회의 최종보고서 가운데 권고사항들의 요약부분만을 조사분석하였다. 그리고 이 권고사항들은 EII의 특성, 개념 모델, 표준화 영역, 표준화 관리, EII 서비스, 상호운용성, 법 및 규제사항 등 7개 분야에 31개로 구성되어 있다.
