농촌지역 소택형습지의 생육환경에 따른 저서성대형무척추동물 군집 특성 (Community Characteristics of Benthic Macroinvertebrates according to Growth Environment at Rural Palustrine Wetland)

  • This study was conducted to understand the community characteristics of benthic macroinvertebrates according to Growth Environment at 6 Palustrine Wetlands in a rural area. As growth environment factors, size, water depth, water inlet and water outlet, land-use and water environment was analyzed. Two years' quantitative collection of benthic macroinvertebrate was carried out, and it executed community analysis and ESB index calculation and also carried out twinspan, MDS and correlation analysis. As a result, the collected benthic macroinvertebrate was 1254 individuals with 3 Phylums, 6 Classes, 14 Orders, 35 Families, 52 Genera and 61 Species. Odonata and Coenagreionidae had the highest species and individuals. Dominance Index was 0.252~0.698, Diversity Index was 1.661~2.902, Evenness Index was 0.414~0.724, and Species Richness Index was 1.990~6.224. As a result of community analysis, when correlation analysis was executed, Dominance Index had the opposite tendency with Diversity Index and Evenness Index, which had the same tendency with the previous studies. When ESB Index was calculated, Grade 2 (polluted) had the highest species with 48 species (78.7%). It is determined from the Environmental quality evaluation and saprobity evaluation result according to ESB index that there is a need to revise environmental evaluation system more specifically. As a result of MDS analysis, the subject spots A and D had the highest similarity, and the subject spot E and D had a relatively high similarity. The life environment that is the closest related with species diversity is estimated by the land-use. As for number of Individual, it seems to have the closest relation with inlet, which is to be determined as a characteristics of Palustrine Wetland. Through such investigation, this study is expected to be utilized for various types of habitats including ecological pond and to be utilized for the increase of species diversity in rural areas.

한국의 저서성 대형무척추동물 생태점수 개선 (Revision of Ecological Score of Benthic Macroinvertebrates Community in Korea)

  • In 1997, the environmental score (Q) corresponding the tolerance value of Korean benthic macroinvertebrate species and the related biotic score, the ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrates (ESB) were proposed; ESB was similar to Beck's biotic index or Chandler's biotic score. This study was carried out to revise the Q values of individual species and the assessment scheme of ESB based on the taxonomic performance and ecological information accumulated since then. The original ESB was renamed as TESB (total ESB), and AESB (average ESB) was newly proposed. AESB is calculated by dividing the TESB (for a given station) by the number of species present in the sample. In this study, TESB showed a positively skewed distribution, while AESB showed a negatively skewed distribution. The correlation between TESB and the concentration of $BOD_5$ was a little stronger than that of the original ESB. TESB showed a very strong correlation (correlation coefficient r = 0.98) with Margalef's species richness, of which correlation coefficient was higher than that of AESB (r = 0.85). AESB showed a strong correlation (r = -0.79) with the concentration of $BOD_5$, while TESB showed a weaker correlation (r = -0.67). Applying TESB and AESB together in an assessment of the environment may be comprehensive because the physical and chemical states of the environment can be evaluated together. AESB is less dependent on the sample size, while TESB tends to increase as the sample size increases. In the evaluation of the environment using TESB, it is necessary to standardize the methods on monitoring.

수원시 서호천의 수질현황 및 환경질 특성 (Characteristics of Water and Environmental Qualities of Seho Watershed in Suwon City)

  • This study was to investigate characteristics of Seoho watershed in Suwon city. $BOD_5$ and SS were selected due to the one of the important factors of the water qualities. Monitoring was conducted monthly for four years during the non-rainfall time. Also, we have been monitored $BOD_5$, $COD_{Mn}$, SS, TN and TP with two times sampling after the rainfalls. The highest concentrations of $BOD_5$ and SS were observed in downstream compare with upstream and midstream during the non-rainfall time. No change was observed in $BOD_5$ and $COD_{Mn}$ during the non-rainfall time and after the rainfalls. The monitoring result indicated that the concentration of SS was the highest in downstream after the rainfalls. We have collected the samples two times after the rainfalls. The rainfall intensity in first sampling was two times higher than second sampling. TN and TP concentrations were increased with increasing the rainfall intensity at all stream. The ESB (Ecological Score of Benthic macroinverterbrate community) index was used to evaluate the statement of stream. ESB results were identified that the upstream is protected waters and the down and midstream is reformed waters. EBS analysis results indicated that the Seoho watershed was ${\beta}$-mesosaprobic at all stream.

진위천의 수질과 저서성 대형무척추동물 군집지수의 상관관계 (The Correlation between Water Quality and Benthic Macroinvertebrate Community Indices in the Jinwi Stream)

  • 본 연구는 상류부터 하류까지 오염도가 상이한 진위천에서 나타나는 생물군집지수와 수질과의 관계를 파악하기 위하여 실시되었다. 수질의 오염도가 증가할수록 하루살이류는 감소하였으며, 날도래류는 강부수성 수역에서 전혀 출현하지 않았다. 반면 환형동물류는 증가하는 경향을 나타냈으며 파리류는 강부수성 수역에서 크게 증가하였다. 상관분석의 결과, 종풍부도지수(RI)와 ESB는 $BOD_5$와 부유물질 (SS)에 유의한 음의 상관관계를 보인 반면, 우점도지수 (DI), 다양도지수(H'), EPT, KSI는 $BOD_5$에만 유의성을 보였고 균등도지수 (J)는 두 항목 모두와 유의성을 보이지 않았다. EPT의 경우 수질과 더불어 물리적 요인에도 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 판단된다. 오탁계급치의 평균치로 산정되는 KSI의 경우 유기물 오염에 대한 지표로서 적용성이 높으나 부유물질의 영향은 나타내지 못하는 반면 ESB 지수는 유기물과 무기물 오염은 물론 군집의 다양성과 풍부도도 함께 대변할 수 있는 지표로 판단된다.

광릉숲 내 봉선사천의 저서성 대형무척추동물의 군집 특성 및 생물학적 하천평가 (Community Characteristics and Biological Quality Assessment on Benthic Macroinvertebrates of Bongseonsa Stream in Gwangneung Forest, South Korea)

  • 광릉숲 생물권보전지역은 오랜 기간 보전 관리된 희귀 생태계로서 생물다양성 변화 모니터링 및 보전 연구가 활발하게 수행되고 있다. 그러나 하천 건강성 평가 지표로서 저서성 대형무척추동물의 다양성과 군집 특성에 대한 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 본 연구는 2016년 4월부터 9월까지 광릉숲을 관통하는 봉선사천 및 인근 계류에 대한 하천평가를 위해 저서성 대형무척추동물의 군집분석을 수행하였다. 조사 결과, 저서성 대형무척추동물은 총 5문 8강 17목 56과 114종이 출현하였으며, 유수 지역에서 서식하는 하루살이목과 날도래목이 각각 30종(32.3%), 16종(17.2%)으로 다양성이 높았고, 오염된 하천에서 일반적으로 정착하는 실지렁이류(Tubificidae sp.), 개똥하루살이(Baetis fuscatus), 명주각다귀 KUa (Antocha KUa), 꼬마줄날도래(Cheumatopsyche brevilineata)의 출현빈도가 높게 나타났다. 섭식기능군에서는 모아먹는무리와 잡아먹는무리가 비교적 높게 출현하였고, 계류지역에서는 썰어먹는무리와 긁어먹는무리가 높게 나타났다. 서식기능군에서는 붙는무리와 굴파는무리가 우세하게 출현하였으며, 여울지역의 미소서식처 다양성을 대변하였다. 군집분석 결과, 우점도지수는 평균 $0.48{\pm}0.10$으로 분석되었으며, 광릉숲 계류의 GS 8에서 0.33으로 가장 낮게 나타났으며, 봉선사천 BS 1에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 다양도와 풍부도지수는 우점도지수와 반비례하여 나타났으며, 우점도가 낮은 GS 8의 다양도와 풍부도지수는 각각 2.53, 4.22로 나타났다. 하천의 군집안정성 분석 결과, 봉선사천은 저항력과 회복력이 높은 I특성군, 광릉숲 수계는 저항력과 회복력이 낮은 III특성군이 높은 것으로 나타나 광릉숲의 수계가 교란에 민감한 종들이 많이 분포하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 생물학적 수질평가에서는 저서성 대형무척추동물생태점수 $50.88{\pm}17.69$, 한국오수생물지수 $1.11{\pm}0.57$, 저서동물지수 $78.55{\pm}11.05$로 평가되었으며, 광릉숲 계류 GS 8에서 ESB (63점), KSI (0.55), BMI (89.9)로 가장 좋은 수환경과 수질 I등급인 최우선보호수역으로 나타났다. 그에 반에 봉선사천 BS 1에서는 ESB (25점), KSI (2.13), BMI (62.7)로 수질등급이 가장 낮은 III등급인 최우선개선수역으로 평가되었다. 전체적으로 광릉숲 내의 수계보다는 주변에 위치한 봉선사천의 수계에서 수서곤충의 다양성은 증가하는 것으로 나타났으나 과거 연도별 종구성의 군집구조는 뚜렷한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

도심하천과 자연하천의 저서성 대형무척추동물 군집 구조 (Community Structure of Benthic Macroinvertebrate in the Urban and Nature Stream)

  • This study was conducted to compare benthic macroinvertebrate communities of urban stream and nature stream in Daegu-si, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsan-si, Andong-si, and Cheongsong-gun. The survey was carried out with 12 points in total six points for urban stream, six points for nature stream from Sept. 2011 to July 2012. In the urban stream were 33 species belonged to 24 families, 11 orders, 7 classes and 4 phyla while in the nature stream were 73 species belonged to 38 families, 12 orders, 5 classes and 4 phyla. In general, species diversity indices and species richness indices appeared low in urban stream but dominance indices was high. Functional feeding groups and Habitat Oriented Groups appeared comparatively simple in urban stream rather than nature stream. As a result of analysis of community stability, species included to area I and area III equally appeared in nature stream while species included to area I mostly appeared in urban stream. An analysis of the correlation between the population density and the number of species, the population number and biological indicators such as DI, H', RI, and ESB revealed that there was a significant correlativity with the diversity index and a very high correlativity with the number of species, abundance index and the ESB. On the other hand, the population number and the dominance index did not reveal any correlativity. For indicator species, Hydroptila KUa, Physa acuta appeared in urban stream while Paraleptophlebia chocolata, Epeorus pellucidus appeared in nature stream.

집중호우에 의한 서식지변동이 저서성 대형무척추동물의 분포에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Habitat Changes Caused by Localized Heavy Rain on the Distribution of Benthic Macroinvertebrates)

  • The changes on community structures of benthic macroinvertebrates, relevance to the environment and interrelationship between benthos were studied over two years in stream with large environmental disturbance, which caused by localized heavy rain during Typhoon Chaba in October 2016. As a result, the number of species and individuals were increased after localized heavy rain, especially numbers of individuals of Ephemeroptera and Plecoptera were greatly increased. On the contrary, those of Semisulcospira libertina and Semisulcospira forticosta of Mesogastropoda were greatly decreased. Dominant species was Baetis fuscatus of Ephemeroptera, numbers of species and individuals of Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Trichoptera(EPT group) were dramatically increased from 26 species, 110 individuals to 32 species, 365 individuals respectively. This suggests that the change of river bed and flow velocity due to heavy rain provided a suitable environment for the EPT group that preferred the rift of a stream. In the functional feeding group, only gathering collectors and filtering collectors were identified in autumn of 2017 because some functional groups preferentially adapted to the changed environment. The interspecific competition and environmental condition were the worst in autumn after heavy rain due to the increase individuals of some species. The ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrate community(ESB) was higher after the heavy rain than before. Results of the Group Pollution Index(GPI), Korean Saprobic Index(KSI) and Benthic Macroinvertebrate Index(BMI) were similar to those before and after heavy rainfall. Therefore, ESB was the most discriminating method for estimating the biological water quality in this study. Some species that are sensitive to water quality changes still appear or increase individuals in the area under investigation after the heavy rain. On the other hand, the individuals of some pollutant species decreased. This is thought to be because the habitat fluctuation caused by heavy rainfall has improved the water environment.

오염하천(진위천)의 환경평가를 위한 생물지수간 적용성 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis on the Application of Biotic Indices for Environmental Assessment of a Polluted Stream (Jinwi Stream))

  • Jinwi Stream is considerably polluted. The urban development in a Jinwi Stream basin can make state of aquatic ecosystem worse. However, researches for aquatic ecosystems in Jinwi Stream are insufficient. In this study, biotic indices of periphytic diatoms (DAIpo and TDI), benthic macroinvertebrates (EPT, KSI and ESB) and fish (IBI) were compared with the annual water quality data. Benthic macroinvertebrates indices showed highly significant correlations with concentrations of organic materials and nutrients, while DAIpo, TDI and IBI showed low correlations with them. In particular, ESB can be considered as an useful indicator that reflects the degree of diversity and abundance of biotic community as well as water quality. In polluted and disturbed streams as Jinwi Stream, DAIpo, TDI and IBI appeared to be not available for evaluating and discriminating the water quality, although they have been known as good indices in general streams.

왕피천 유역의 저서성 대형무척추동물 군집분석 및 생물학적 수질평가 (Community Analysis and Bological Water Quality Evaluation of Benthic Macroinvertebrate in Wangpi-cheon Watershed)

  • 이 연구는 환경부 지정 생태 경관보전지역인 왕피천 유역의 저서성 대형무척추동물 군집분석 및 생물학적 수질평가를 실시하기 위한 것으로 2012년 6월에서 9월까지 총 2회에 걸쳐 현장조사를 수행하였다. 조사대상 지점은 왕피천 유역의 핵심 및 완충구역을 중심으로 상류에서 하류에 걸친 총 11개 지점(본류 5개 지점, 지류 6개 지점)에 해당된다. 조사결과 총 5문 7강 15목 74과 155종이 확인되었으며, 분류된 종과 개체수에 대한 군집분석 결과 우점도지수(DI)는 평균 0.22로 낮게 나타났으며, 평균 종다양도지수(H')는 4.24로 매우 높게 분석되었다. 그리고 조사된 섭식기능군을 이용하여 생태경관보전지역 지정 전과 후의 서식지 유형별 유사도를 분석한 결과, 생태경관보전지역 지정 이후에 지류 94.51%, 본류 93.19%의 높은 유사도 지수 값을 보였다. 이러한 결과로 왕피천 유역에 다양한 종과 많은 개체수가 서식하고 있으며, 생태경관보전지역 지정 이후에 하천생태계의 기능적인 면 역시 잘 유지되고 있음을 유추할 수 있었다. 또한 청정한 하천에서 높은 값을 보이는 EPT 지수값 역시 62.9%로 높게 분석되었다. 그리고 저서성 대형무척추동물 생태점수(ESB)와 한국오수생물지수(KSI)를 이용한 연구지역의 환경상태 및 생물학적 수질을 평가한 결과, 저서성 대형무척추동물 생태점수는 평균 208.2로 매우 높게 나타나 '최우선보호수역'으로 판정되었으며, 한국오수생물지수는 평균 0.32로 생물학적 수질등급 'I등급'으로 평가되었다.

한국 송지천에서 저서성대형무척추동물의 종조성과 이를 이용한 수질 평가 (Species Composition of Benthic Macroinvertebrates and Water Evaluation Using Their Species in the Songji River in Korea)

  • 저서성대형무척추동물은 수질 평가를 위해 다년간 이용되었다. 본 연구는 한국 송지천에서 저서성대형무척추동물을 이용하여 이 하천의 수질을 평가하고자 수행되었다. 동정된 동물은 3문 5강 12목 18과 20종 447개체였다. 집모기류(Culicini sp.)가 가장 우점종이었고(203개체), 두번째 우점종은 집파리(Musca do­mestica)였다. 다양한 생태학적 척도로 수질의 상태를 평가하였다. 전체 생태 점수(total ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrate community, TESB)은 17(St. D)에서 41(St. A)으로 평균은 29였다. St. A에서 부수성 지수와 저서성 대형무척추동물생태 점수(ESB)는 II 등급으로 빈부수성, 수질은 약간 만족이며 보호가 요청되는 수질에 해당되었다. 저서성동물지수(benthic macroinvertebrate index, BMI)은 25.207(St. C)에서 39.348(St. A)까지 이며 평균은 31.810였다. St. C와 St. D의 하천 상태 평가는 강부수성이며 민감종이 결여되어 있었다. 다양도를 나타내는 Shannon-Weaver index (H')는 1.288(St. D)에서 2.250(St. A)였다. H'에 근거한 부수성 정도는 St. A에서는 ${\beta}$-중부수성이었으며 나머지 지점은 ${\alpha}$-중부수성이었다. 지리적 밀도는 1.229(St. A)에서 2.071(St. D)으로 평균은 1.582였다. 송지천에서 사용한 무척추동물을 이용한 여러 수질의 척도는 한국 내 다른 하천에서도 적용할 수 있을 것이다.
