A Wireless Controllable Group Lighting System for Electrodeless Fluorescent Lamps

  • A dimmable ballast system for the electrodeless fluorescent lamp is proposed. The proposed scheme is composed of the electronic ballast and the wireless communication part. They both are realized with one EPLD (Erasable Programmable Logic Device). The dimming levels of each lamps can be controlled by a management system through wireless communication technology. 10 ballasts are used for the group lighting system and the experiment results show the system works well.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 데이터 및 보안데이터, 영상데이터 통을 전송할 때 잡음으로 인해 발생되는 데이터 오류를 효과적으로 복원하기 위해 오류 정정 능력이 뛰어난 터보코드를 적응하여 신뢰성 있는 영상전송 시스템을 실현하였다. 영상처리 시스템에서는 CCTV, 비디오 카메라 등에서 나오는 NTSC(National Television System Committee) 영상 신호를 비디오 디코더를 통해 A/D 변환하여 출력하였다. 변환된 디지털 영상정보는 두 개의 영상필드로 출력되며 그중 하나의 필드가 선택되는 알고리즘을 EPLD(Erasable Programmable Logic Device) 로직회로로 구성하여 디지털 영상 데이터를 절반으로 줄이는 시스템을 구현하였다. 터보코드의 부호기, 복호기 시스템에서는 실수연산이 가능한 DSP(Digital Signal Processor)를 사용하여 터보코드를 구현하였으며, 터보코드의 성능을 좌우하는 인터리버부분은 블록 인터리버를 적용하여 설계하였다.

  • In this paper, a controller for the linear motor with high speed and stiffness is implemented using SERCOS interface which is a real time communication protocol between the numerical controller(NC) and the motor driver. The proposed controller is mainly composed of current, speed, and position controller, which are designed using the 32-bit DSP(TMS320C31), a high-integrated logic device (EPM7128), and Intelligent Power Module(IPM) to enhance reliability and compactness of the system. The experimental results show the effective performance of the proposed controller for he linear motor with high speed and stiffness.

  • This paper presents a wired and wireless linked remote control system. Ethernet based network communication is used for long distance management and 2.4GHz RF network is adopted for the local area communication between the main network and the ballast. For the effective remote control and management including dimming using wired and wireless linked digital communication networks, control circuit of the ballast is implemented with fully digital circuit using MCU and EPLD. In this paper, the proper frame structure is proposed for the digital-remote lighting-control system and the detailed system configurations including fully digital controlled ballast for the induction lamp are described.

  • Using one chip microcontroller 87Cl96 (On chip EPROM type) and EPLD (Erasable & Programable Logic Device), an implantable control system to drive pendulum type electromechanical total artificial heart was developed. This control system consists of 4 parts, main management system, motor driver with power regulator, state monitoring system and communication part. The main system has the functions for speed detection, PI(proportional and integration) control, PWM generation, communication and analog data processor. Two kinds of power system were used and separated by 8 photo coupler arrays to improve the system stability. The performances of each compartments were compared with our previous z80 microprocessor based control system and good correspondences was shown. Logic power consumption was reduced to a one third of our previous controller. Using mock circulation tests, the overall performances of control system are evaluated.

  • In this paper, a controller design for brushless linear motor is proposed. The designed controller is mainly composed of speed and current controller, which are carried out by the high-speed digital signal processor(DSP). In addition the PWM inverter is controlled by space voltage PWM method. This system is implemented using by 32-bit DSP(TMS320C31), a high-integrated logic device(EPM7128), and IPM(Intelligent Power Module) for compact and powerful system design. The experimental results show the effective performance of controller for the brushless linear motor.

  • To relize the future intelligent robot the development of a special-purpose processor for a coordinate transformation is evidently challenging task. In this case the complexity of a hardware architecture strongly depends on the adopted algorithm. In this paper we have used an inverse kinemetics algorithm based on incremental unit computation method. This method considers the 3-axis articulated robot as the combination of two types of a 2-axis robot: polar robot and 2-axis planar articulated one. For each robot incremental units in the joint and Cartesian spaces are defined. With this approach the calculation of the inverse Jacobian matrix can be realized through a simple combinational logic gate. Futhermore, the incremental computation of the DDA integrator can be used to solve the direct kinematics. We have also designed a hardware architecture to implement the proposed algorithm. The architecture consists of serveral simple unitsl. The operative unit comprises several basic operators and simple data path with a small bit-length. The hardware architecture is realized byusing the EPLD. For the straight-line motion of the KAIST arm we have obtained maximum end effector's speed of 12.6 m/sec by adopting system clock of 8 MHz.

  • This paper presents 3-phase current regulation of SR motor by only single current sensor. The conventional drive system of SR motor has a current sensor per each phase. In this paper, The asymmetric bridge converter which Is able to control independently phases and be excited simultaneously is used fs the driver system for 6/4 poles SR motor. And the sensor Is replaced 3 sensors of each phase with only one on bus line of converter so as to detect current of every phase. A drive logic circuit is designed on EPLD with Delta modulation using a fixed frequency This technique is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • The development of a high power BLDC servo system for a control of the large scale mechanical system is presented. Using DSP TMS320C30, a control unit which is suitable for motor drive system, is developed. Also, based on the developed control unit, BLDC drive system for the speed control is constructed. The algorithms of the vector control, current control, and speed control is implemented using TMS320C30 Software Development Tool. The developed high power BLDC motor drive system is applied to the large scale mechanical system and its feasibility is verified through the experimental results.

  • 캐쉬 메모리 시스템의 성능 측정 방법으로 이제까지 널리 사용되고 있는 방법이 트레이스 구동 시뮬레이션이다. 트레이스 구동 시뮬레이션의 정확성은 사용하는 트레이스의 크기, 포함된 정보의 종류 등에 의해서 크게 영향을 받는다. 이에 따라 보다 정확한 트레이스를 생성하기 위해 많은 방법들이 제안되었으며 그 중 하드웨어 모니터링 기법에 의해서 얻어진 트레이스는 응용 프로그램의 메모리 참조에 대한 정보뿐만 아니라, 문맥교환이나 시스템 프로그램의 메모리 참조에 대한 정보, 메모리 참조가 발생한 시간 정보 등을 가진다는 장점을 갖는다. 그러나 하드웨어 모니터링 시스템은 트레이스를 생성하기 위한 시스템에 따라서 설계가 변화되어야 하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 하드웨어 모니터링 시스템의 단점을 완화하기 위해서 EPLD(Erasable Programmable Logic Device)를 사용하여 트레이스 생성 시스템을 구성하여, 보다 간단한 수정으로 여러 시스템에서 트레이스 생성이 가능한 하드웨어 시스템을 설계하였다. 또한 제작된 트레이스 생성 시스템은 66Mhz의 고속 버스 시스템에서 동작할 수 있는 특징을 갖는다.
