Display technology has recently made enormous progress. In particular, display companies are competing each other to develop flexible display. Curved display, as a precursor of flexible display, are now used for smart phones and TVs. Curved monitors have been just introduced in the market, and are used for office work or entertainment. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether the curvature of a 42" multi-monitor affects postural control when it is used for entertainment purpose. The current study used two curvature levels (flat and 600mm). Ten college students [mean(SD) age = 20.9 (1.5)] with at least 20/25 visual acuity, and without color blindness and musculoskeletal disorders participated in this study. In a typical VDT environment, each participant played a car racing video game using a steering wheel and pedals for 30 minutes at each curvature level. During the video game, a pressure mat on the seat pan measured the participant's COP (Center of Pressure), and from which four measures (Mean Velocity, Median Power Frequency, Root-Mean-Square Distance, and 95% Confidence Ellipse Area) were derived. A larger AP (Anterior-Posterior) RMS distance was observed in the flat condition, indicating more forward-backward upper body movements. It can be partly due to more variability in visual distance across display, and hence longer ocular accommodation time in the case of the flat display. In addition, a different level of presence or attention between two curvature conditions can lead to such a difference. Any potential effect of such a behavioral change by display curvature on musculoskeletal disorders should be further investigated.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm to obtain more stable and high recognition rate by using left and right rotation information of input image in order to obtain a stable recognition rate in face recognition. The proposed algorithm uses the facial image as the input information in the web camera environment to reduce the size of the image and normalize the information about the brightness and color to obtain the improved recognition rate. We apply Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to the detected candidate regions to obtain feature vectors and classify faces. Also, In order to reduce the error rate range of the recognition rate, a set of data with the left and right $45^{\circ}$ rotation information is constructed considering the directionality of the input face image, and each feature vector is obtained with PCA. In order to obtain a stable recognition rate with the obtained feature vector, it is after scattered in the eigenspace and the final face is recognized by comparing euclidean distant distances to each feature. The PCA-based feature vector is low-dimensional data, but there is no problem in expressing the face, and the recognition speed can be fast because of the small amount of calculation. The method proposed in this paper can improve the safety and accuracy of recognition and recognition rate faster than other algorithms, and can be used for real-time recognition system.

The materials analysis is important in conservation science for cultural assets since conservators can make appropriate decision of treatment and environment through understanding manufacturing, period and materials. Palsapumdo is the painting of Palsapum which was given by Yi Sun-shin from the emperor Shinjong in The Ming Dynasty. Palsapumdo painted with various pigments on the fabric has remained to adhere a sheet of lining paper. In this study, we carried out the fiber identification about the fabric and lining paper and the analysis of the pigments. This study identified a fabric and a lining paper and analised pigments for the painting. As a result of fabric analysis, it was confirmed as cotton because ribbon twists and shape of kidney bean in a cross section. After the analysis of lining paper, color changed to yellow by Graff "C" staining tests, and had short fiber and tracheid. Therefore, it is supposed to be a paper which is made of conifer pulp. In addition, the results of SEM-EDS, the pigments are indicated as Orpiment($As_2S_3$), Minium($Pb_3O_4$), Hematite($Fe_2O_3$), Emeraldgreen ($C_2H_3As_3Cu_2O_8$), Ultramarine [$2(Na_2O{\cdot}Al_2O_3{\cdot}2SiO_2){\cdot}Na_2S_2$], talc[$Mg_3Si_4O_{10}(OH)_2$], bariumsulfate($BaSO_4$) and brass.

King George island, Antarctica, is mostly covered by ice sheet and glaciers, but the land area is focally exposed for several thousand years after deglaciation. For a mineralogical study of chemical weathering in the polar environment, glacial debris was sampled at the well-developed patterned ground which was formed by long periglaclal process. As fresh equivalents, recently exposed tills were sampled at the base of ice cliff of outlet glaciers and at the melting margin of ice cap together with fresh bedrock samples. Fresh tills are mostly composed of quartz, plagioclase, chlorite, and illite, but those derived from hydrothermal alteration zone contain smectite and illite-smectite. In bedrocks, chlorite was the major clay minerals in most samples with minor illite near hydrothermal alteration zone and interstratified chlorite-smectite in some samples. Smectite closely associated with eolian volcanic glass was assigned to alteration in their source region. Blocks with rough surface due to chemical disintegration showed weathering rinds of several millimeter thick. Comparision between inner fresh and outer altered zones did not show notable change in clay mineralogy except dissolution of calcite and some plagioclase. Most significant weathering was observed in the biotite flakes, eolian volcanic glass, sulfides, and carbonates in the debris. Biotite flakes derived from granodiorite were altered to hydrobiotite and vermiculite of yellow brown color. Minor epitactic kaolinite and gibbsite were formed in the cleaved flakes of weathered biotite. Pyrite was replaced by iron oxides. Calcite was congruently dissolved. Volcanic glass of basaltic andesite composition showed alteration rim of several micrometer thick or completely dissolved leaving mesh of plagioclase laths. In the alteration rim, Si, Na, Mg, and Ca were depleted, whereas Al, Ti, and Fe were relatively enriched. Mineralization of lichen and moss debris is of much interest. They are rich of A3 and Si roughly in the ratio of 2:1 to 3:1 typical of allophane. In some case, Fe and Ti are enriched in addition to Al and Si. Transmission electron microscopy of the samples rich of volcanic glass showed abundant amorphous aluminosilicates, which are interpreted as allophane. Chemical weathering in the King George Island is dominated by the leaching of primary phyllosilicates, carbonates, eolian volcanic glass, and minor sulfides. Authigenesls of clay minerals is less active. Absence of a positive evidence of significant authigenic smectite formation suggests that its contribution to the clay mineralogy of marine sediments are doubtful even near the maritime Antarctica undergoing a more rapid and intenser chemical weathering under more humid and milder climate.
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of rain-shelter types on growth, and fruit quality of red pepper (Capsicum annuum, 'Kemmaru') cultured in paddy. Applied rain-shelter types were outfield (control), simple rain-shelter plastic house with 2 rows (2R), simple rain-shelter plastic house with 4 rows (4R), and perfect plastic house (House). The plant height was the highest in Houses treatment. There was no difference in leaf length and width among the rain-shelter treatments. The fresh and dry weight of red pepper was high in order of House > 4R > 2R > Control. The ASTA value is irregular tendency among the treatments. Hunter's color value 'a' and 'b' was not different from among the treatments. Phytophthora blight, powdery mildew, bacterial spot were not occurred in all of treatments, and Anthracnose was only occurred in control. Mite, Microcephalothrips abdominalis, and Bemisia tabaci were not occurred in all of treatments, and aphid, Helicoverpa assulta, and virus were occurred all of treatments as same degree. Our results will provide rain-shelter cultivation of red pepper can be increase dry yield and decrease disease and insects.

Due to popularization of the wireless Internet and mobile devices the infrastructure of the ubiquitous environment, where users can get information whatever they want anytime and anywhere, is created. Therefore, a variety of fields including the education studies methods for efficiency of information transmission using on-line and off-line contents. In this paper, we propose the Mixed Mobile Education system(MME) that improves educational efficiency using on-line and off-line contents on mobile devices. Because it is hard to input new data and cannot use similar off-line contents in systems used additional tags, the proposed system does not use additional tags but recognizes of-line contents as we extract feature points in the input image using the mobile camera. We use the Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) algorithm to extract feature points which are not affected by noise, color distortion, size and rotation in the input image captured by the low resolution camera. And we use the client-server architecture for solving the limited storage size of the mobile devices and for easily registration and modification of data. Experimental results show that compared with previous work, the proposed system has some advantages and disadvantages and that the proposed system has good efficiency on various environments.

The study performed questionnaire to the patients receiving implant operation, who visited dental clinics and hospitals(2 hospitals and 5 clinics) from Jul. 1, 2009 to Sep. 12, 2009 in order to study the factors giving effects to patient's satisfaction in the selection of implant. 145 questionnaire papers collected from patients were analyzed with SPSS12.0 program. The result revealed that the satisfaction with implant operation was usually normal when implant was operated because of tooth extraction due to dental caries and periodontal disease and it was usually high when implant was operated because of wound(P<0.05). When considering each cause of tooth extraction, the satisfaction with pronunciation function was usually normal(P<0.001), the satisfaction with functional part including foreign body sense was very low when the cause of operation was periodontal disease(P<0.01). The satisfaction with hospital environment depending on the cause of hospital selection was usually high when hospital was selected because of doctor's fame. It was low when hospital was selected because it was close to home(P<0.001). The satisfaction with the number of hospital visits depending on the number of implanted teeth was usually low when many teeth were implanted(P<0.01). The analysis on the satisfaction with tooth shape and color showed that the satisfaction was high when '1~2' teeth and 'more than 6' teeth were implanted(P<0.05). In order to improve patient's satisfaction with implant, it is necessary to recognize individual's oral status and request correctly. It is determined that proposal of operation period, number of hospital visits, function and expected aesthetic satisfaction degree will contribute to the improvement of mutual reliance between doctor and patient and post-operation satisfaction degree.

In this paper, we propose an object recognition method using image information to improve the efficiency of visual servoingfor industrial manipulators in industry. This is an image-processing method for real-time responses to an abnormal situation or to external environment change in a work object by utilizing camera-image information of an industrial manipulator. The object recognition method proposed in this paper uses the Otsu method, a thresholding technique based on separation of the V channel containing color information and the S channel, in which it is easy to separate the background from the HSV channel in order to improve the recognition rate of the existing Harris Corner algorithm. Through this study, when the work object is not placed in the correct position due to external factors or from being twisted, the position is calculated and provided to the industrial manipulator.

The research for coatings is one of the most popular and active research in the polymer industry. For the coatings, electronics industry, medical and optical fields are growing more important. In particular, the trend is the increasing of the technical requirements for the performance and accuracy of the coatings by the development of automotive and electronic parts. In addition, the industry has a need of more intelligent and automated system in the industry is increasing by introduction of the IoT and big data analysis based on the environmental information and the context information. In this paper, we propose an optimization model for the design of experiments based coating formulation data objects using the Internet technologies and big data analytics. In this paper, the coating formulation was calculated based on the best data analysis is based on the experimental design, modify the operator with respect to the error caused based on the coating formulation used in the actual production site data and the corrected result data. Further optimization model to correct the reference value by leveraging big data analysis and Internet of things technology only existing coating formulation is applied as the reference data using a manufacturing environment and context information retrieval in color and quality, the most important factor in maintaining and was derived. Based on data obtained from an experiment and analysis is improving the accuracy of the combination data and making it possible to give a LOT shorter working hours per data. Also the data shortens the production time due to the reduction in the delivery time per treatment and It can contribute to cost reduction or the like defect rate reduced. Further, it is possible to obtain a standard data in the manufacturing process for the various models.
