  • RAID systems have been widely used by connecting several disks in parallel structure. to resolve the delay and bottleneck of data I/O. Recently, SSD based RAID systems are emerging since SSDs have better I/O performance than HDD. However, endurance and power consumption problems due to frequent write operation in SSD based RAID system should be resolved. In this paper, we propose a de-duplication method of parity disk in SSD based RAID system with expensive update cost. The proposed method segments chunk of parity data into small pieces and removes duplicate data, therefore, it can reduce wear-leveling and power consumption by decreasing write operation for duplicated parity data. Experimental results show that bit update rate of the proposed method is 16% in total disk, 31% in parity disk less than that of existing method in RAID-6 system using EVENODD erasure code, and the power consumption of the proposed method is 30% less than that of existing method. Besides the proposed method is 12% in total disk, 32% in parity disk less than that of existing method in RAID-5 system, and the power consumption of the proposed method is 36% less than that of existing method.

  • As the high-rise building increase due to the gravitation of population to big cities recently, it requires high quality and high performance of Concrete. As a result, people are keenly interested in Meta-kaolin as new admixture favorable from an economic perspective, which has strength and endurance with admixture at the same level like Silicafume. Accordingly, as to Meta-kaolin, this study was to set by three levels like domestic one, foreign one, and Silicafume, the waterbinding material ratio 25%, and four level substitute like 0, 10, 20, and 30(%) in order to compare and analyze the quality characteristics of high-strength concrete according to the substitute of Meta-kaolin applicable with replacement of Silicafume. As a result of performing experiment, as to the higher the additive amount of Superplasticizing agents in order to secure target liquidity was, the more the substitute in each admixture increased. This study had a tendency that the Silicafume increased the additive amount of Superplasticizing agents with high fineness compared with Meta-kaolin. In addition, the higher the substitute in each admixture was, the more its strength increased On the strength property, the higher the substitute in each admixture was, the more its strength increased. This study has found out that the Meta-kaolin has shown the better strength than the one of Silicafume. On the other hand, the relationship between the Compressive strength and Elastic coefficient has shown the similar formula suggested from ACI363.

  • PURPOSE. All-ceramic restorations required extensive tooth preparation. The purpose of this in vitro study was to investigate a minimally invasive preparation and thickness of monolithic zirconia crowns, which would provide sufficient mechanical endurance and strength. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Crowns with thickness of 0.2 mm (group 0.2, n=32) or of 0.5 mm (group 0.5, n=32) were milled from zirconia and fixed with resin-based adhesives (groups 0.2A, 0.5A) or zinc phosphate cements (groups 0.2C, 0.5C). Half of the samples in each subgroup (n=8) underwent thermal cycling and mechanical loading (TCML)(TC: $5^{\circ}C$ and $55^{\circ}C$, $2{\times}3,000cycles$, 2 min/cycle; ML: 50 N, $1.2{\times}10^6cycles$), while the other samples were stored in water ($37^{\circ}C/24h$). Survival rates were compared (Kaplan-Maier). The specimens surviving TCML were loaded to fracture and the maximal fracture force was determined (ANOVA; Bonferroni; ${\alpha}=.05$). The fracture mode was analyzed. RESULTS. In both 0.5 groups, all crowns survived TCML, and the comparison of fracture strength among crowns with and without TCML showed no significant difference (P=.628). Four crowns in group 0.2A and all of the crowns in group 0.2C failed during TCML. The fracture strength after 24 hours of the cemented 0.2 mm-thick crowns was significantly lower than that of adhesive bonded crowns. All cemented crowns provided fracture in the crown, while about 80% of the adhesively bonded crowns fractured through crown and die. CONCLUSION. 0.5 mm thick monolithic crowns possessed sufficient strength to endure physiologic performance, regardless of the type of cementation. Fracture strength of the 0.2 mm cemented crowns was too low for clinical application.

  • Regulation theories has paid little attention to spatial regulation processes, while it has focused on economic and social regulation processes. More specifically, there have been little researches on regulationist approach to the transformation of the post-socialist system in the context of the space economy. Therefore, the article has attempted to conceptualize the transformation of space economy under the post-socialist system in the light of regulation theories. The space economy could be regarded as the foundation of the reproduction of social relations. Thus, the transformation of post-socialist system has led to the fundamental changes in enterprise and industrial networks as well as social relations in spatial contexts. In this perspective, the research has attempted to identify 'the mode of enterprise regulation' regarded as a codified firm networks by investigating intra-, inter- and extra-firm relations associated with the transformation of post-socialist system. Also, it has intended to suggest three types of the space economy - (1) disembedded economies based on the isolated networks and dissolution of pre-existing networks, (2) embedded economies based on the interaction of institutions and restructuring of networks, and (3) over-embedded economies based on the insulated institutions and endurance of pre-existing networks-in accordance with the governance, institution and networks in the post-socialist system.

  • This study is performed to evaluate the effectiveness of a weight management program for overweight and obesity office workers; comparing their changes in the anthropometry, biochemistry, nutrient intakes, and exercise performance before and after the obesity management program. This program was performed on 39 workers, who are overweight or obese, over BMI 23 for 6 months in Jeollabuk-do public institution. As the results of this study suggests, triceps thickness (TT) of male subjects was significantly decreased (P<0.05). Waist circumference (WC), and hip circumference (HC) of the total subjects were significantly decreased after the weight management program (P<0.05). The biochemical result of the Total cholesterol (TC) (P<0.05) and LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) (P<0.01) was significantly decreased in male subjects. The results of abdominal computed tomography (CT) also showed that subcutaneous fat area (SFA) of male subjects was significantly decreased after the weight management program (P<0.01). The nutrient intake's results of female subjects, who took Fe, Vit B2, and niacin, were increased significantly after the weight management program (P<0.05). The nutrition knowledge score of male subjects was significantly increased (P<0.05), and a muscular endurance of the physical test was significantly increased after the obesity management program (P<0.01). At the work place, workers need a systemic health and obesity management program to improve their work efficiency and quality of life. After this study, the program should be developed and supported continuously to maintain positive results from this study.

  • Purpose: Exercise intervention after surgery has been found to improve physical fitness and quality of life (QOL). The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility and effects of a postoperative recovery exercise program developed specifically for gastric cancer patients (PREP-GC) undergoing minimally invasive gastrectomy. Materials and Methods: Twenty-four patients treated surgically for early gastric cancer were enrolled in the PREP-GC. The exercise program comprised sessions of In-hospital Exercise (1 week), Home Exercise (1 week), and Fitness Improvement Exercise (8 weeks). Adherence and compliance to PREP-GC were evaluated. In addition, body composition, physical fitness, and QOL were assessed during the preoperative period, after the postoperative recovery (2 weeks after surgery), and upon completing the PREP-GC (10 weeks after surgery). Results: Of the 24 enrolled patients, 20 completed the study without any adverse events related to the PREP-GC. Adherence and compliance rates to the Fitness Improvement Exercise were 79.4% and 99.4%, respectively. Upon completing the PREP-GC, patients also exhibited restored cardiopulmonary function and muscular strength, with improved muscular endurance and flexibility (P<0.05). Compared to those in the preoperative period, no differences were found in symptom scale scores measured using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Core Quality of Life Questionnaire (QLQ-C30) and Quality of Life Questionnaire-Stomach Cancer-Specific Module (QLQ-STO22); however, higher scores for global health status and emotional functioning were observed after completing the PREP-GC (P<0.05). Conclusions: In gastric cancer patients undergoing minimally invasive gastrectomy, PREP-GC was found to be feasible and safe, with high adherence and compliance. Although randomized studies evaluating the benefits of exercise intervention during postoperative recovery are needed, surgeons should encourage patients to participate in systematic exercise intervention programs in the early postoperative period (Registered at the ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT01751880).

  • The aims of this study were to understand and to predict the determinant factors affecting the exercise behaviors and physical fitness by testing the Ponder's health promotion model, and to help the patients with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis perform the continuous exercise program, and to help them maximize the physical effect such as muscle strength. endurance, and fuctional status and mental effects including self efficacy and quality of life, and improve the physical and mental wellbeing, and to provide a basis for the nursing intervention strategies. We analyzed the clinical records of 208 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative arthritis who visited the outpatient clinics at H university hospital in Seoul between October 5, 1999 and October 24, 1999. Data were composed of self reported questionnaire and good of fitness score which were obtained by pedalling the ergometer of bicycle for 9 minutes. SPSS Win 8.0 and Window LISREL 8.12a were used for statistical analysis. 24 Of 54 hypothetical paths were supported in modified model, which was considered as a proper model with improved fit index. The physical fitness was directly influenced by exercise participation behavior and education level, and indirectly by physical fitness, while fatigue, physical disability, pastexercise behavior, life-style, self-efficacy, which explained 20% of physical fitness. The exercise participation were directly influenced by perceived benefits and self-efficacy, and indirectly influenced by life-style, fatigue and physical disability, and directly and indirectly by past exercise behavior, which explained 53% of exercise participation. Exercise score were directly affected by perceived health status, perceived benefits, self efficacy, and past exercise behavior, and were indirectly affected by fatigue, physical disability, and life-style, which explained 50%. Perceived health status were directly influeced by level of education, depression, sleep disorder, and physical disability, which explained 34% of perceived health status. Perceived benefit was directly influenced by fatigue, sleep disorder, physical disability, and life-style, which explained 45%. Perceived barriers was directly influenced by fatigue, sleep disorder, and lifestyle, which explained 9%. Self- efficacy was directly influenced by fatigue, physical disability, past exercise behavior, and level of education, which explained 61%. In conclusion, important variables for physical fitness were exercise participation and level of education, and variables affecting exercise participation were perceived self-efficacy, benefits, and past exercise behavior. Perceived self-efficacy of exercise was a significant predictor of exercise participation. Life-style, fatigue, and physical disability showed direct effects on perceived benefit, perceived barriers, and self-efficacy, and indirect effects on exercise behavior. Therefore, disease related factor should be minimized for physical performance and well being in nursing intervention for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and plans to promote and continue exercise should be soaked to reduce disability. In addition, Exercise program should be planned and performed by the exact evaluation of exercise according to the ability of the patients and the contents to improve the importance of exercise and self efficacy in self control program, dedicated educational program should be involved.

  • The objective of this study is to develop the plastic greenhouse models which are structurally safe under the weather condition of Seongju and have the dimensions suitable for oriental melon cultivation as well. To grasp the structural features of greenhouses in Seongju, the field survey was conducted on 406 farmhouses which included 2,068 greenhouses. The field survey showed that the roof shape of arch type accounted for the highest rate, but recently even span or peach type became more popular and the width and height of greenhouse tended to increase as the period of use was short. The relationship of the width, ridge height and eaves height were established based on field survey data. Using climate data of Gumi adjacent to Seongju, the regressions were determined for the design wind speed and design snow depth depending on recurrence period. To design the greenhouse models against weather disasters in Seongju, the optimal design loads are 23.7 cm of snow depth and $33.8m{\cdot}s^1$ of wind speed. As the design results, four models of single-span greenhouse, two models of double-span greenhouses including extension were developed.
