Dielectric Strength of Macro Interface between Epoxy and Rubber According to the Interface Condition (계면조건에 따른 에폭시와 고무 거시계면의 절연내력)

  • Macro interfaces between two different bulk materials which affect the stability of insulation system exist inevitably in the complex insulation system using in extra high voltage (EHV) electric devices. In this paper, Interface between epoxy and ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) was selected as an interface in electrical insulation system and the AC dielectric strength of the interface was investigated. Air compress system was used to give pressure to the interface. Specimens were prepared in various ways to generate different surface conditions for each type of interface. Increasing interfacial pressure, decreasing surface roughness and spreading oil over surfaces improve the AC interfacial dielectric strength. Especially, the dielectric strength was saturated at certain interfacial pressure.

Temperature Rise Prediction of Busbar of EHV GIS Considering Variation of Heat-Transfer Coefficient (열전달 계수의 변화를 고려한 초고압 GIS 모선의 온도 상승 예측)

  • In order to design the current carrying conductor for GIS, it is important to predict temperature-rise when rated current flows in the bus bar. However, it is not easy to apply the correct heat transfer coefficient on the boundary between different material for the thermal analysis. In this paper, the heat transfer coefficient which depends on parameters such like material constant, model geometry as well as ambient temperature, was calculated by analytic method. The calculated coefficient is used for the temperature rise prediction by F.E.M. The results show good agreement with experimental data.

  • In order to analyze the physical and chemical characteristics of the home production porcelain insulators by change of the alumina addition amount, 36000lbs ball socket type suspension insulators which were manufactured in 1989, 1995 and 2001 removed in transmission line and an experiment was performed. By the result, 8 wt.% alumina that influences the mechanical properties and arc resistance properties in case of insulators that were manufactured in 1989 was contained. Amount of alumina was contained most by 17 wt.% in case of insulators that were manufactured in 2001.

  • 2004년도 36,0001bs 볼소켓형 국산 애자에 대하여 알루미나(alumina) 첨가량의 변화에 따른 국산 2001년산 및 외국산 2000년산 자기애자의 특성 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 2001년도 자기애자의 알루미나 첨가량을 17%로 하고 2004년도 알루미나 첨가량이 20%로 하였을 경우 자기 애자의 기계적 특성은 10% 정도 향상되었다. 그리고 2001년도에 제조한 애자의 자기 상대밀도는 이론밀도의 96%에 도달하였으나 2004년도에 제조한 애자의 상대 밀도는 이론밀도의 98%에 도달하였으며, 애자의 균일성을 나타내는 Qs 값은 5.01로 높게 나타났다.

  • This paper describes a method to improve the speed of a distance relay based on a differential equation of transmission lines using feedforward artificial neural networks (ANN) on an EHV system. For the impedance calculation an integration approximation to the differential equation is used and then an ANN is trained with the impedance convergence characteristic. The ANN predicts the fault distance with some calculated resistances and reactances before they reach trip zone. Thus, the proposed method can improve the speed of distance relays, significantly if a high sampling rate such as 48 samples per cycle is employed.

  • EHV underground transmission cable characterized by low loss and bulk capacity should have high reliability to be protected fully from external damages, not to speak of its quality. In 345kV underground transmission lines of our country, the usage of frie protection trough is standardized. Fire protection trough consists of combination of trough body, spacer, shutting board, fastener, and etc. and it is required to have a high level of fire-retardant characteristics and mechanical strength. Since 1992, we, GoldStar Cable, with collaboration of Lucky, have participated in the development of fire protect ion trough and completed the type test of manufacturing site and will be supposed to go into mass product within 1993.

  • Today, electrical machine is being large capacitor and EHV(Extra High Voltage) of power equipment is a need of high reliability of insulating matetials. Therefore, it is a need of fixed appraisement of lifetime to used data of breakdown. This paper studied a development of the program for estimation the lifetime of insullating materials and the long-time breakdown voltage by experimentation. The estimation program is based on the "Inverse Power Law", defined V$\^$n/t is constant. After gaining the life exponent n, it is mapping the long-time breakdown voltages. On the base of life exponent, the estimation of lifetime and usefulness of the insulation systems are possible, furthermore easy calculation is possible.

  • In this paper, to understand the effect of forest fires on polymer insulators for transmission lines, it was observed the aging of the housing surface of the polymer insulators. And, this paper shows the way how to create the artificial field testing in order to simulate forest fire. As the results of, maximum leakage current peaks by influence of flame increased from 1[mA] to 1.4[mA], and SEM results show the inorganic component on the housing surface because the organic component matters disappeared. Therefore, the case of exposed by forest fire, polymer insulator can be used in the early stage, but an exchange needs active countermeasure to be stabilize power delivery.

  • 국내의 지중케이블 시스템은 1970년대 154kV급 OF케이블이 도입된 이래로 현재까지 345kV급 OF/XLPE 케이블을 이용한 지중송전선로가 운영 중에 있으며, 도심지역의 전력공급을 위해 지중송전선로의 건설비중이 점차 증가하고 있다. 그러나 지중송전 계통에서 고장발생시 사회적 파장이 크고 가공송전선로에 비교할 때 복구에 대단히 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되므로 설비의 안전운전 및 장기신뢰성의 확보가 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 지중송전계통의 현장 조건을 고려한 실증시험장 구축의 필요성이 대두되어, 한국전력공사에서 정부의 인프라구축 지원사업으로 초고압 지중케이블에 대한 국제품질 공신력 확보 및 최적운영기술을 확보하기 위하여 장기 신뢰성 시험이 가능한 설비와 국제적 규모의 실증시험장을 구축하였다. 아울러 2011년 3월에는 ISO/IEC 17025에 따른 국제공인시험기관 자격을 취득하여, 국내외에서 제작되는 초고압 케이블에 대한 국제 공인시험이 가능하게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한국전력공사 고창전력시험센터 내에 구축된 지중케이블 시험장 및 장기신뢰성 시험설비에 대한 소개와 더불어 국제표준에 따른 공인시험방안과 현재까지 지중케이블 시험장에서 수행된 케이블 시험에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • 초고압 전력 케이블용 도체 접속을 위한 접속방법으로 압축형(compressing type), 용접형(welding type), 압축-용접형(CW type; compressing-welding type)의 슬리브는 물론 동과 알루미늄의 이종(nonidentical materials) 접속을 위한 슬리브를 개발 하였으며, 전기적, 기계적으로 검증된 제품 개발을 위하여, 슬리브의 구조 변경과 접속 방법의 차이뿐 아니라 접속 전후의 응력 평가를 위해 슬리브 시편의 인장시험(tensile strength) 결과에 따른 슬리브 제작 및 시험을 진행하였다. 신뢰성 있는 제품 개발과 데이터를 얻기 위하여 초고압용 지중 고압 케이블을 시험 시료로 적용하여 시험 선로(test loop)를 구성하였으며, 이를 통하여 구조와 재질에 따른 접속 방법, 이상 온도 상승 또는 국부적인 고온 부위 발생 여부 등의 전기 시험 및 열싸이클 전압 시험(heating cycle voltage test) 조건을 설정하여 시험 전후의 열신축 등 전기적, 기계적 특성을 평가하였다. 접속 슬리브의 구조 및 재질에 따른 위치별 발열 양상을 체크하였으며, X-ray 장비를 이용하여 슬리브 내부의 압축 및 충진 정도를 점검함으로써 기존 접속 슬리브 보완은 물론 개발된 접속 슬리브의 설계 기준 및 안전율을 설정 할 수 있었다.
