GHP 성능 진단 평가 (Performance examination appraisal of gas driven engine heat pump(GHP))

  • GHP system utilize national gas as a heat source. It reduces electric peak demand in summer and maintains a constant performance in winter by recovering the waste heat from the engine. Although the initial investment cost of GHP is higher than that of EHP, the overall operating cost of GHP is cheaper than of the EHP. In this study, items for dissatisfaction were summarized based on the results of user questionnaire(200 users), and field tests were made for 10 GHP installation places. The measured COP was estimated much lower than the rated COP by the manufacturer mainly due to partial load operation.

  • Increasing demand for comfortable indoor environment and air-conditioning demand is also increasing. Building energy consumption in university which is made up of many different kinds factor was researched. Central control air-conditioning systems are being replaced with individually controlled air-conditioning system. The amount of growth of electricity consumption is due to the increasing demand of EHP. Conversely, the demand for absorption chiller-heater is shrinking. Winter and in summer a lot of electricity and gas usage. On the other hand, showed less energy in spring and autumn. Increase the amount of electricity than the degree of decline in gas consumption was higher. Can be considered as transitional phenomena. Because EHP and the absorption chiller-heater are used at the same time in some of the buildings. To use energy efficiently is needed additional research about environmental impact, economic evaluation.

  • The research aims to study a new, optimum and renewable energy application method that can cover the minimum energy and operation costs within a range of school budgets. By deriving the optimum application method, it is expected to maximize the cooling/heating and water heating energy saving efficiencies for educational facilities. Therefore, this research carried out a study on the new/renewable energy utilization technique diffusion expansion method and the optimum method. As a result, the first optimum plan was introduced with the multi-type geothermal heat pump 174kW + solar heat collector $94\;m^2$ + highly efficient electronic cooling/heating device (EHP) 249.4kW. On the other hand, the second optimum plan was induced as the multi-type geothermal heat pump 255.2kW + highly efficient electronic cooling/heating device (EHP) 168.2kW.

Therefore, this research implemented a study on the new and renewable energy utilization technique diffusion expansion method and the optimum method. As a result, the first optimum plan was introduced with the multi-type geothermal heat pump 475.6 kW+highly efficient electronic cooling/heating device(EHP) 545.2 kW. On the other hand, the second optimum plan was induced as the multi-type geothermal heat pump 261kW+solar heat collector $240\;m^2$+highly efficient electronic cooling/heating device(EHP) 759.8 kW.

  • Unlike the previous approaches, we analyzed for economic efficiency of renewed heating and cooling systems as the characteristics of space. The purpose of this study is to analysis the energy consumption and economical efficiency of absorption chillers and EHP systems in renovated library. It is important that equipment selection should be considering energy cost as well as space program. In recently, many EHP systems were installed in the building for reducing the energy cost and for seeking the convenience of individual control. In contrast, though absorption chillers have the disadvantage of a central control, absorption chillers are appropriate for the conditions of the library that needs simultaneous operation. The results by payback period method, show that selection of heating and cooling systems should be consider for space program and the characteristics of space.

  • The demands are increasing for the efficient heating and cooling system and thermal comfort environment because of changes in climate and environment, and deterioration of buildings and facilities can cause education budget to increase. So the study to apply heating and cooling system to university is urgently needed to improve an optimum energy saving system, educational environment and convenience of maintenance. For this reason, we selected a university campus in Seoul then came to understand the current situation and found some problems. We drew alternatives from comparative analysis of them. It selects representative building and carries out economic analysis to evaluate characteristics of energy consumption and economics on each type of heating and cooling system. As a result we drew the optimum system from those processes as previously stated. We studied 3 available systems, absorption chiller, EHP(Electric Heat Pump) and GHP(Gas Engine Heat Pump). According to LCC analysis suppose that the value of EHP is 1, it came out that the value of absorption chiller is 1.5 and the value of GHP is 2.2. This study, suggesting the optimum heating and cooling system, will support educational and research activities furthermore effect to maximize energy efficiency. Ultimately it is expected that it will contribute to make eco-friendly Green Campus.

  • The present study has been conducted economic analysis through actual operation of EHP and GHP which are installed at the same building of an university Cost items, such as initial cost, annual energy cost and maintenance cost of each system are considered to analyze LCC and economical efficiency is compared. The initial cost is considered on the basis of actual costs, and annual energy cost is converted into the cost after measuring electricity and gas consumption a day. LCC applied present value method is used to assess economical efficiency of both them. Variables used to LCC analysis are electricity cost escalation rate, natural gas cost escalation rate, interest rate, and service lives and when each of them are 4%, 2%, 8%, and 20 years, results of analysis short that EHP(148,257,306 won) is 8.05%(12,981,990 won) more profitable than GHP(161,239,295 won).

참치 연승어선의 특성 ( 1 ) - 유효마력과 추진효율 - (The Characteristic of Tuna Longliners ( 1 ) - On the effective horse power and propulsion efficiency -)

  • Authors studied the propulsion efficiency of G. T. 280 to 300 class tuna longliners used in Korea. At first authors calculated the ratios and factors of the ship by use of principal dimensions. In cordance with this ratios and factors authors, examined the effective horse power, propulsion ficiency and brake horse power, and following results are obtained. (1) EHP is slightly increased according to the increasing of Froude number and speed. (2) Value of propulsion coefficient is obtained in the range of 51-54% at the cruising speed an its average is 52% in 6-13 knot of the speed. (3) EHP and BHP are increased according to the increasing of prismatic coefficient at the same speed.

  • There are some efforts to improve the performance of electrical heat pump(EHP) and replace it with an alternative cooling equipment such as gas engine-driven heat pump(GHP), a gas cooling equipment, in order to solve the problem of summer electricity supply through reducing the summer electricity peak. This paper analyzes cost-benefit in accordance with replacement of electrical cooling system by gas cooling system using california standard test and sensitivity analysis of some scenarios.

  • 본 연구는 퍼지모델링을 이용한 고속연안어선의 선형요소 결정을 내용으로 한다. 즉, 고속연안 어선의 전체 저항곡선 및 마력곡선을 고속연안어선의 선형요소 자료들로부터 퍼지모델링을 통해 도출하고, 그 결과를 모형시험 결과와 비교하고 있다. 또한, 퍼지모델링에 의한 전체 저항곡선 및 마력곡선이 고속연안어선의 선형요소 결정에 효율적으로 적용됨을 보이고 있다.
