Psychometric validation of the Child Healthy Lifestyle Profile in South Korea: a cross-sectional study

  • Purpose: This study aimed to validate the Child Healthy Lifestyle Profile as an instrument for screening healthy behaviors in school-aged children in South Korea. Methods: Self-reported questionnaires were administered to 454 students, comprising elementary-school students (n=221) and child cancer survivors (n=233). Reliability and validity were assessed using Cronbach's α, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Results: Cronbach's α, as a reliability test, was 0.87. Varimax rotation yielded nine factors with eigenvalues greater than 1 in the EFA, which explained 61.0% of the total variance. In the CFA, both convergent and discriminant validities were acceptable. Therefore, the Child Healthy Lifestyle Profile was validated as an assessment tool for Korean school-aged children. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the Child Healthy Lifestyle Profile was identified as a reliable and valid instrument for assessing healthy lifestyles in elementary-school children in South Korea.

이란 건설 프로젝트의 부패 원인에 대한 탐색적 요인 분석 (Exploratory Factor Analysis of the Causes of Corruption in Iranian Construction Projects)

  • 대부분의 건설 프로젝트는 초기단계에서부터 준공 운영단계에 이르기까지 다양한 유형의 부패에 영향을 받고 있다. 개발 도상국인 이란은 입찰, 투찰 과정, 계약 등에서 부패 문제로 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이란 건설 프로젝트를 대상으로 부패의 원인을 파악하고 그 중요도를 평가하고자 한다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 통해 다양한 유형의 부패에 대해 조사하고 건설 프로젝트에 부패를 유발할 수 있는 잠재적 요소를 설문조사를 통해 파악하고자 한다. 설문지는 이란 건설 프로젝트에서 77가지 부패 원인을 포함하여 12 가지 유형의 부패를 고려하여 고안되었다. 수집된 설문지의 분석 및 탐색적 요인분석(EFA)을 통하여 "부적절한 권한 배분" 등 4가지의 주요 요인이 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과는 건설관계자와 학자들에게 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

사이버대학에서의 강좌평가를 위한 측정도구 개발 및 양호도 검증 (Test development and verifying the validity and reliability for measuring a effectiveness of e-learning course in cyber university)

  • 급격하게 발전하는 정보사회에서 사이버 상에서의 교육이 점차 보편화되고 있다. 지속적이고 평생을 통한 교육의 필요성이 증대되면서 시작된 사이버대학은 이제 17개에 달하게 되었고 이제는 양적인 증가에 더불어 질적인 수준에 관심을 기울여야 할 것이다. 그러나 일반 대학에 비해 사이버대학의 강좌평가는 아직 체계적으로 이루어지니 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 사이버대학에서의 강좌를 평가하기 위한 측정도구를 개발하고, 이에 대한 양호도를 검증하였다. 이를 위해서 관련 선행연구들을 분석하여 예비평가도구를 개발하였고, 측정도구에 대한 타당성을 확보하고자 W사이버대학의 재학생 768명에게 설문을 실시한 뒤 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 또한 791명에게 2차 설문을 실시한 뒤 확인적 요인분석을 통해 개발한 측정도구의 적합성을 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 내용 설계, 교수자, 시스템, 평가, 전반적 만족도의 5개 요인이 산출되었으며, 25개 문항으로 구성된 평가도구를 최종적으로 확인하였다.

효과적인 학교교육요소에 근거한 좋은 중등학교 척도개발을 위한 탐색적 확인적 요인분석 (Exploratory & Confirmatory Factor Analysis for Developing a Good Secondary School Scale based on the Factors of the Effective Schooling)

  • This research is to redefine the concept of Good School and to validate an effective Good Secondary School Scale in Kyung-gi Province and Seoul. As statistical methods, SPSS 13.0 and AMOS 5.0 were used. Item Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA) were conducted to test the reliability of items and the factor structure. And Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) was conducted to test the validity and fitness of the Good School Scale. The outcomes are as follows: First, six factors(school environment, curriculum, teacher, school-based management system, director) will increase the good schooling effectiveness. Second, As a result of Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA), the goodness of fit indices(GFI AGFI, CFI, RMSEA) demonstrate statistically significance and fitness of the model. The final Good School Scale supports 6 Good School Factors obtained in main test. Therefore, we can say that this scale can be used as a valid instrument to measure a real Good Schooling Effectiveness at the secondary school situation in Korea.

보건교사의 교사효능감 척도 개발 (Development of a Teacher-Efficacy Scale for Health Education Teachers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a teacher-efficacy scale which is adequate for heath education teachers. Method: A preliminary questionnaire was made based on the hypothetical factors. A total of 364 health education teachers answered to the preliminary test, and the potential factors of teacher-efficacy were checked out by exploratory factor analysis (EFA). In the main test 378 health education teachers answered, the factor structure was drawn by EFA, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was conducted to test and the fitness of the factor model. Results: Through the preliminary test, 5 potential factors were found, which were instruction, health-service, administrative task, interpersonal relationship, and community connection. Also, 48 items were reduced to 31 items. Through the main test, from the 34 items were extracted 4 factors with 24 items, And then teacher-efficacy scale was developed, which included the subscales of instruction efficacy, health-service efficacy, task-interpersonal efficacy, and community connection efficacy. Conclusion: Different from that for other subject teachers, the factor structure for health teachers had 4 factors with 24 items. The scale developed in this study is consistent with health teachers' work areas, and for this reason, has significance as a adequate and valid scale to measure teacher-efficacy of health education teachers.

과학 탐구 수업에서 초등학생들이 바라는 과학 교사의 모습에 대한 요인 분석 (Factor Analysis of Image of Science Teacher Desired by Elementary School Students in Scientific Inquiry-Based Instruction)

  • 이 연구에서는 과학 탐구 수업에서 초등학생들이 바라는 과학 교사의 모습을 구성하는 요인들을 추출한 후, 이들 요인 사이의 구조적 연관성을 분석하였다. 과학 탐구 수업에서 초등학생들이 바라는 과학교사의 모습을 구성하는 요인들을 확인하기 위하여 탐색적 요인 분석(EFA)을 실시하였고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 확인적 요인 분석(CFA)을 실시하였다. 또한, 확인적 요인 분석을 통해 산출된 요인 구조를 토대로 과학 탐구 수업에서 초등학생들이 바라는 과학 교사의 모습을 종합적으로 살펴보았다. EFA 결과, 과학 탐구 수업에서 초등학생들이 바라는 과학 교사의 모습을 이루는 요인으로 5개 요인(교수 전략, 평가 전략, 사전 지도, 학생 이해, 학습 발달)을 추출하였다. CFA 결과, 교수 전략과 학습 발달, 교수 전략과 학생 이해 사이에 상관관계가 비교적 높게 나타났다. 추출된 요인 구조를 바탕으로 과학 탐구 수업에서 과학 교사의 모습에 대한 학생들의 인식을 종합적으로 살펴본 결과, 초등학생들은 과학 교사가 학생들에 대한 이해를 반영하여 학습 발달을 지원하고, 효과적인 수업 전략과 적절한 평가 방법을 활용하는 것을 중요하게 인식하고 있었다.

병원간호사의 보상 측정도구 개발 (Development of a Reward Scale for Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop and test a reward scale for hospital nurses. Methods: The initial items were identified through a literature review and focus group interviews with ten hospital nurses. The content validity of the items was evaluated by ten experts. Fifty-one items were derived from the pilot survey. Four hundred eighty-eight nurses participated in the study: 248 for exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and 240 confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Data were analyzed using item analysis, EFA, CFA, convergent validity, known-group validity, and internal consistency using IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 29.0. Results: The final scale consisted of 31 items and eight factors (decent wage, opportunity to grow and develop, support for special situations, various benefits, flexibility of work, job-related achievement, reflecting career and performance, and recognition), which explained 67.3% of the total variance. The eight-subscale model was validated by CFA. Convergent validity was evaluated by analyzing correlation with intention to leave (r = - .63, p < .001) and job satisfaction (r = .54, p < .001). The known-group validity was evaluated by comparing the reward scales according to age, clinical career, income level and hospital type. The scale was found to be reliable with a Cronbach's α of .89. Conclusion: Both the validity and reliability of the reward scale for hospital nurses are verified, which can enhance the understanding of the range of rewards and may assist nurse managers in establishing an effective reward system.

Validity Assessment of the Persian Version of the Nordic Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50): A Case Study in a Steel Company

  • Background: The Nordic Safety Climate Questionnaire-50 (NOSACQ-50) was developed by a team of Nordic occupational safety researchers based on safety climate and psychological theories. The aim of this study was to develop and validate the Persian version of NOSACQ-50 and assess the score of safety climate on a group of workers in a steel company in Iran. Methods: The Persian version of NOSACQ-50 was distributed among 661 employees of a steel company in Qazvin Province (Iran). Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis were used to determine the dimensions of the questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was assessed using Cronbach ${\alpha}$ coefficient. Pearson correlation test was applied to investigate the correlation between different dimensions. Results: The results of EFA showed that the Persian version of NOSACQ-50 consisted of six dimensions. The Cronbach ${\alpha}$ coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.94. The mean score of safety climate in all dimensions was 2.89 (standard deviation 0.60). Conclusion: The Persian version of NOSACQ-50 had a satisfactory validity for measuring safety climate in the studied Iranian population.

국방획득사업의 집행우선순위 결정요인 연구 (Influential Factors on Prioritization of Weapon Systems)

  • 국방기획관리 제도(PPBEES)에서 기획단계(P)의 전력증강소요가 국방 예산을 초과하기 때문에 계획단계(P)나 예산편성 단계(B)에서 예산을 고려한 우선순위 결정이 필요하다. 본 논문의 목적은 한정된 예산범위 내에서 기 결정된 소요의 우선순위 결정에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하여 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2014년 방위력개선사업 중 신규 착수 및 계약사업 20개를 쌍대비교하여 소요 우선순위 결정 이유를 도출하고, EFA(Exploratory Factor Analysis)를 통해 6개의 대표 요인을 추출하였다. 6개의 요인에 대한 KMO는 0.779로 요인분석하기에 적절하다고 할 수 있고, 총 분산은 79.590%로 받아들이기에 적절하고, Cronbach's Alpha계수도 모두 0.7 이상을 얻었다. 본 논문은 지금까지 연구가 제한적이던 전력 소요 기획에 있어 실제 업무 유관자를 대상으로 실제 무기체계간 비교를 통해 집행 우선순위 영향 요인을 도출했다는 데에 의미가 있다. 이 같은 집행우선순위 영향요인은 전력소요 우선순위를 결정하고자 할 때 AHP 또는 델파이 등의 다양한 의사결정 방법에 활용될 수 있을 것이며 궁극적으로 한정된 재원 내에서 군사전략목표 달성을 위한 합리적 전력소요 판단에 기여할 수 있다.

위탁급식 전문업체 브랜드이미지 척도 개발 (Scale Development for Measuring the Brand Images of Contract Foodservice Management Companies)

  • The aim of this study was to measure the brand images of contract foodservice management companies by identifying brand image attributes and then developing a measurement scale to measure the weight of these attributes. The measurement scale was developed by following a 5-stage process that included face-to-face interviews with experts, literature review, questionnaire surveys, verification of scale validity, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. A total of 137 items measuring brand image were collected: 37 items from studies of brand image and corporate image, 55 items from studies of contract foodservice management companies and 45 items from the internet and websites of contract foodservice management companies. A survey was then conducted to assess the validity and reliability of the questionnaire items. Ultimately, the 137 items were reduced to 40 items. The calculated Cronbach's alpha for the 40 brand image items was 0.934, demonstrating good internal consistency. Based on exploratory factor analysis (EFA), employee attitude, menu content, corporate image, dining location and ambience, along with 33 subattributes, were identified as brand image attributes. Employee attitude was the most significant attribute influencing brand image. After confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and a review process, four brand image attributes and 33 subattributes were finalized and incorporated into the scale.
