Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is an important part of interorganizational electronic commerce due to the strategic impact derived from its use. In order to ensure successful implementation of EDI, EDI controls must first be developed. Because they are implemented in an environmental context, the characteristics of organizational environments have a significant impact on EDI controls. The control strategy for the EDI system - formal, informal, and automated controls - should fit certain organizational environments. A research model has been developed to depict the moderating effects of six environmental variables including industry, organizational, and task characteristics on the relationships between controls and implementation. It is shown empirically that the relationships between EDI controls and implementation are indeed affected by these factors. The results can help management design formal, informal, and automated controls in view of their own environmental contexts.

EDI통제를 설계할 때에는 통제의 효과성 및 효율성을 위해서 조직 및 상황특성을 고려하여야 한다. 본 논문은 특정 환경적 특성을 가지는 조직에 대해 EDI통제 수준을 제안하는 인공선경망 모형을 제안한다. 환경적 확성으로부터 12가지 종류의 EDI통제에 대한 수준을 각각 제안하도록 127개의 역전파 인공신경망 모형이 설계되었다. 본 논문에서 제시한 모형의 효과성을 검증하기 위하여 인공 신경망의 예측력을 다종회귀분석과 비교되었다 예측력 비교결과 인공신경망 모형의 예측력이 다중 회귀분석보다 우수함이 입증되었다. 인공신경망을 활용하여 과거의 환경 및 통제수준에 관한 데이 터를 학습하여 통제설계에 관한 보다 일관되고 체계적인 의사결정을 할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 보다 높은 수준이 요구되는 통제에 대하여 EDI 관리자나 내부감사인들은 그들의 한정된 자원을 투입하여 구현하도록 할 수 있을 것이다.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) has a significant impact on business practices by eliminating paper related adult trails and enabling transactions to be processed at high speed without human intervention. Major advantages advangtages and benefits derived from EDI, however, depend upon the usage of EDI controls. Management must determine whether their investment on EDI controls is appropriate, as the establishment of EDI controls demandds much resources and high skills. This study proposes data envelopment analysis model to identify efficient and inefficient EDI control systems in various context of input (formal and automated EDI controls) and output (EDI implementation and performance). DEA can also determine the factors that are significantly different between efficient and inefficient groups. The model is tested using data collected form EDI adopters.

EDI is one of the most important information technologies in todays business environment. This study is an exploratory study on the EDI control of Korean companies in their early stage of EDI implementation. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of EDI controls on the security and usefulness of EDI systems for Korean companies who have adopted EDI. The data of fifty-one Korean companies for financial, manufacturing, and trade industries are collected by the mail survey and interview methods. The level of EDI control is mediocre on the average. The level of EDI security is low while that of EDI usefulness is mediocre. The empirical results show that the EDI controls in general improve the EDI security and usefulness significantly. Especially, the application and security control affect the EDI security significantly while the management, application, and security controls affect the EDI usefulness significantly. The gap between the level and perceived importance of control does not affect the EDI security but decreses the EDI usefulness at the marginal level of significance. The limitation of this study is that only a small number of companies are available for data collection because Korea is in the early stage of EDI implementation.

EDI는 은행업무, 무역, 의학, 출판 등의 다양한 활동이나 사업에 관련된 메시지를 컴퓨터들간에 상호 교환한다는 개념이다. 그러므로, 보안성, 신뢰성 및 특수 기능성이 EDI 시스템의 절대적 요구사항이다. 이러한 요구사항 중 보안성에 대한 요구사항을 만족시키기 위한 접근제어 모델을 설계하고자 한다. 정보시스템에 있어서의 접근제어는 실체에 대한 모든 접근은 보안정책에 의해서 정해진 접근모드나 규칙에 따라 발생한다는 것을 보장하기 위한 것이다. 본 논문에서는, 접근제어 모델을 위한 보안정책을 신분기반 정책, 규칙기반 정책, 직무기반 정책 측면에서 제시한다. 정의한 보안정책을 수행하기 위해서 유도된 접근제어 규칙과 오퍼레이션에 기초한 안전한 EDI 서비스를 제공하기 위한 접근제어 모델을 설계한다. 제안한 접근제어 모델은 EDI 메시지에 대한 무결성, 비밀성 및 흐름제어를 제공한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-melanogenic effects of the extracts from Decaschistia intermedia craib (EDI). In this study, we examined the effects of EDI on mushroom tyrosinase activity in in vitro, melanin contents, and expression levels of mRNA and proteins of melanogenesis-related genes in B16F10 melanoma cells. The treatment of EDI significantly decreased both tyrosinase activity and melanin contents in B16F10 cells with dose-dependent manner. In addition, we found that the expression of mRNA or proteins of melanogenic proteins, such as, a-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (a-MSH)-induced microphthalmia associated transcription factor (MITF), tyrosinase, tyrosinase related protein-1 (TRP-1), and TRP-2 was significantly downregulated with dose-dependent manner in the EDI-treated B16F10 cells compared to controls. Our results suggest that the EDI inhibits cellular melanogenesis through downregulation of a-MSH-stimulated melanin synthesis. Thus EDI may potentially be an effective whitening agent.

본 논문에서는 XML(eXxtensible Markup Language)을 이용하여 고정적이고 정형화된 EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) 문서를 유동적이고 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 시스템에서는 사용자가 원하는 문서를 직접 생성할 수 있도록 트랜잭션(Transaction) 처리기와 템플리트(Template) 관리기를 설계 및 구현하였으며, 기존 EDI와의 호환을 위해 변환기를 설계하였다. 또한, 본 시스템의 경우 변환에 반드시 필요한 EDI 메시지 구조를 XML 형식으로 저장하고, 이것을 DOM API로 관리하도록 하여 XML의 구조정보를 이용하여 기존 시스템과의 호환성을 고려하였으며, 사용자가 변환기를 이용하여 템플리트 파일을 생성할 수 있고 필요한 구성요소(elements)를 선택 전송할 수 있도록 해당 인터페이스를 제공하도록 하여, 사용자가 전송할 엘리먼트를 선택할 수 있는 인터페이스를 제공하였다. 그리고 아직까지 다른 시스템에서는 문서의 변환에 관한 적절한 해법을 제시하지 못하고 있지만 본 시스템에서는 기존의 시스템이 제공하지 못하는 XML기반의 EDI문서 변환 기법 및 구조정보를 제공하여 그 해법을 제안하고 있다.

웹 서비스들이 보다 대형화되면서 보다 많은 정보의 처리가 필요함에 따라 서버의 과부하를 방지하고 처리 속도를 향상시키기 위한 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 서버의 부하가 늘어나는 현상을 분석하고 최근에 등장한 .NET 기반의 저부하형 웹 애플리케이션 설계 및 구현 방법을 제안한다. 다중 접속 시 서버의 부하를 최소화하기 위하여 관계형 데이터베이스를 설계하고 최소한의 모듈을 생성하였으며, SP를 이용하여 복잡한 SQL문을 단순화하여 데이터베이스의 부담을 줄여 서버의 성능을 향상시켰다. 또한 User Control을 활용하여 페이지를 구성하여 페이지 처리 속도를 향상시켰으며, 스크립트를 활용하여 서버 언어를 이용한 작업을 최소한으로 줄였다. XML/EDI를 이용한 전자문서교환방식을 채택하여 관리비용을 줄일 수 있도록 하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 저부하형 시스템을 학사관리 시스템 상에서 구현하여 기존의 방법에 비해 보다 효율적 시스템임을 보인다.
