운송에 필요한 각종 서류와 정보의 효율적 교환은 국제물류시스템의 중요한 일부분이 되었다. 또한 EDI(전자문서교환)는 수출입에 필요한 각종 상거래 서식을 컴퓨터가 읽을 수 있는 표준화된 전자문서의 형태로 바꾸어 교환함으로써 무역절차의 간소화와 운송서류의 신속한 교환을 가능하게 하여 물류 효율성을 증대시키는 것으로 알려져있다. 이러한 맥락에서 세계각국의 항만당국은 자국의 물류혁신을 도모하기 위하여 경쟁력으로 EDI의 도입을 추진해왔다. 그러나 90년대에 들어 EDI의 발전은 처음의 기대와는 달리 저조한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 크게 두가지로 설명된다. 첫째는 EDI 문서의 국제표준을 제정하는 UN/ECE 산하 WP4의 표준제정 미 공표의 비효율성으로 인해 실제 상거래에서 필요한 문서들의 EDI 표준화가 제때에 이루어지지 않았다는 점이다. 두 번째 이유는 대부분의 EDI 사용자가 전자문서의 교환통로로 이용해 왔던 부가가치통신망(VAN)서비스의 고비용적인 구조로 인하여 비용에 민감한 중소규모 화주들의 폭넓은 이용을 저해왔다는 점이다. 따라서 본고에서는 EDI의 확산을 저해했던 두가지 문제점에 입각하여 먼저 효율적 EDI 표준 제공을 위한 국제적 노력의 산물인 CEFACT(Center for Facilitation of Procedures and practices for Administration Commerce and Transport))와 보다 안전하고 신뢰성 있는 전자상거래 솔류션의 마련을 위해 이루어진 각종 국제기구들의 활동 및 결과물들을 소개하고 다음으로 인터넷의 급속한 확산으로 새롭게 개발되고 있는 Web-based EDI, XML/EDI, Simpl-EDI, Form-based EDI 그리고 Lite-EDI의 저비용적 구조 측면을 분석하여 중소규모화주들의 EDI에 대한 인식을 제고시킴으로써 EDI의 전반적인 확산을 도모하고 있다.

XML/EDI is different from traditional EDI because it offers the framework necessary for electronic commerce and extends the scope of the traditional EDI which focuses on data transfer. Since existing EDI services are moved to Internet platform and again to Web platform, users can use EDI in the integrated environment without inconvenience of using different EDI softwares, which have their own configurations. This paper describes the overall design and implementation of a Web-based XML/EDI system that is a core component for the electronic commerce. The constructed XML/EDI system in this paper is comprised of document generation module, document storage module, document search module, document management module, template document management module and e-mail transmission module. Requirements and design goal of XML/EDI system are introduced, detailed functionalities of modules and design facts are described and execution and execution procedures of the implemented system are explained.

인터넷의 폭발적인 성장으로 기존의 EDI를 인터넷상에서 적용하기위해 웹 EDI, Open EDI, XML/EDI 등의 기술이 등장하였다. 이중 XML/EDI 기술은 기존 EDI 시스템의 여러 가지 단점을 해결 할수 있으므로 향후 B2B 전자상거래에 핵심적인 프레임워크가 될 것으로 기대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML/EDI 시스템을 구축하기 위해 기존의 EDI 문서를 XML로 변환하는데 필요한 XML Schemafmf 자동적으로 생성하는 시스템을 설계하고 구현한 방법을 소개한다. EDI 메시지에 대한 XML Schema를 작성하기 위해서는 EDI 뿐만 아니라 XML에 대한 전문지식이 필요하고 , 반복적이고 오류가 발생하기 쉬운 과정을 거쳐야한다. 그러나 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템은 입력된 EDI 메시지를 바탕으로 XML S초듬 르 자동으로 생성해주므로 XML/EDI 시스템을 구축할 때 본 논문에서 개발한 시스템을 사용하면 상당한 시간과 비용을 줄일 수 있을 것이다.

The importance of EDI has been so emphasized that we need exchange/maintain electronic documents effectively, and convert them to other formats. The traditional EDI, however, is facing on the limitation of growth because of its high expense, and the closeness of information sharing. The EDIs of next generation, like open EDI, object-oriented EDI, and Internet EDI, have appeared to solve these problems. Finally, XML/EDI, which is very effective to solve these kinds of problems, is now replacing the traditional EDI and the HTML in Internet and, is influencing on e-Business. So, we are going to suggest a solution which uses XML/EDI as a substitute for the traditional one. First, we analyzed the problems of the traditional EDI system and organized the structure of XML/EDI system, Next, we developed the prototype of Internet bookstore to show the effectiveness and strength of XML/EDI over the traditional EDI.

VAN EDI의 단점인 폐쇄성과 비용을 극복하기 위해서 제안된 인터넷 EDI를 구현한다. 인터넷 EDI의 구현 방법인 인터넷 메일 기반 EDI와 웹 기반 EDI의 장점을 통합하여 웹에서의 통합적인 기업간의 전자상거래 솔루션을 지원하기 위한 웹에서의 인터넷 메일기반 EDI를 설계하고 구현하고 보안 요소를 추가한다.

Korean government and companies have given a lot of their efforts to exchange electronic documents between themselves and their partners. As the results of them. Korean EDI standards were made by Korean EDIFACT Committee and the standards have been used by companies and governmental organization in Korea. However, Korean export customs clearance EDI system is based on VAN(Value Added Network) and one VAN company ha monopolistic right to relay EDI documents to Korean Customs Service. Therefor is leads to a lot of problems such as inconvenient software, expensive transmission fee and the difficulty of connection with the in-house systems of user companies. To solve these problems, a few good solutions and systems have been suggested and one of them is the Internet EDI. we will suggest a new export customs clearance EDI system running on the Web. This system is basically an Internet EDI system, but we have developed this system using XML instead of HTML, XML is a new markup language with merit such as isolating data from style of documents. This system consists of 7 modules, schema/style/template management, XML/EDI document management, XML/EDI transformation, EDI transmission, certification management and log management. Also this system can be used with other traditional EDI systems that have UN/EDIFACT standards. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of XML/EDI system for customs clearance. The development of this system will be a leading study for XML/EDI standards in export clearance EDI system.

At the point of increasing concern on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and on related trade automation, a research of trade enterprises' EDI system adoption and using has a very significant meaning to get the roots of the problems and to put the practical use. After studying the outline of EDI and it's proceeding state, this thesis tries to point out some problems of them and presents the reform measures in the aspect of a legal and business aspect. According to the results of this study, the argues and their control suggestions are as follows. First, the process of trade relations and the it's public concept on the EDI should be changed to the agreement of the adopting and using the standard EDI in Korea. Second, the financial and tax support is needed to the following; the reconsideration of each enterprise, the inrestment of enterprises' role for the training their professional human resource and goverment and related organization's guiding role. Therefore, to maximize the effects of EDI after solving the issues. above trade process the issues should be unified by coorperation with the goverment and related organizations for the information circulation side and considered that EDI system have to positively make automation of trade on the basis of suggestions above.

기업간 및 기업 대 정부간 문서교환의 요구를 충족시키기 위한 일원으로 기업들은 산업 표준에 따른 전자문서교환(EDI)에 많은 관심과 노력을 기울여왔으며, 국내에서는 한국 EDIFACT위원회를 중심으로 전자문서 표준화가 이루어졌다. 국내 수출업자들이 관세청에 수출신고를 위한 통관 EDI 교환은 주로 부가가치통신망(VAN) 사업자들을 통해 이루어지고 있으나 이러한 EDI 중계 서비스는 특정 VAN사업자들을 통해 EDI서비스가 독점됨에 따라 서비스 이용에 있어 값비싼 전송료 및 통신망 임차비, 잦은 통신 지연, 기업 내부 시스템과의 연계의 어려움 등으로 인하여 많은 문제점을 낳았다. 현재 이러한 전통적 방식의 EDI를 인터넷 기반으로 전환할 때 인터넷의 개방성과 저렴한 사용비용등의 장점으로 인해 비용절감과 사용자 편이성을 크게 증가시킬 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷과 웹을 이용하여 통관 EDI 중계 시스템을 개발하였다. 현재 수출을 하고자 하는 주체는 관세청에서 반드시 EDI로 수출에 관한 신고를 하여야 하는바, 본 시스템은 이러한 EDI신고를 인터넷상에서 가능하도록 한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 HTML에서 진일보한 차세대 마크업 언어인 XML을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 구축한 XML/EDI 통관시스템은 수출신고에 필요한 11개의 전자문서에 대한 XML Schema를 디자인하고, 사용자 관리, SchemaStyleTemplate 관리, XML/EDI 문서관리 XML/EDI변환, EDI 송수신 관리, 인증관리, 로그관리 등의 모듈을 지니고 있으며 개방형 EDI와 인터넷 EDI의 장점을 취합하여 설계되었다. 본 시스템은 기존의 UN/EDIFACT표준을 사용하고 있는 EDI환경과 기존 VAN 방식의 EDI 중계 시스템과 연동되며, 향후 관세청의 XML/EDI 표준 시행을 미리 대비하는 선도연구로서 자리매김이 된다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 XML/EDI 통관시스템은 향후, 서비스의 최대 걸림돌이 되어왔던 값비싼 EDI 사용료의 부담에서 벗어날 수 있게 할 것이며, 저렴한 EDI구축/운영 비용으로 전자문서교환의 활성화와 XML이 인터넷 기반의 문서유통 표준으로 자리매김할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.

There are increasing needs for an individual or enterprise to interchange documents electronically through communication network to enhance the efficiency of business, according to the rapid progress in the construction of communication network. UN has established and distributed the standards for electronic documents to facilitate rapid and accurate processing of business. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of an integrated system for processing documents that conform to the electronic document standards. This system consists of three subsystems, which are an EDI parser for checking syntax, an EDI document editor, and an EDI directory viewer for referencing syntax of an EDI document. Integrated usage of these tools can afford the composition of correct EDI documents more rapidly and conveniently.
