VANET is a network environment which provides the communication between vehicles and between vehicle and RSU using wireless communication. VANET is very important to protect safety and life of people. Because of that, security is considered enough and certification is very important when messages exchanged between vehicles. Recently, Zhang proposed using Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol that is method exchanging messages in VANET system through RAISE. But this is many problems on weakness from various attacks. In this paper, proposed the method that establish symmetric key using ECDH key exchange protocol and confirm safety and time spending that generate key and exchange through comparison.

MPTCP(Multipath Transmission Control Protocol) is able to compose many TCP paths when two hosts connect and the data is able to be transported through these paths simultaneously. When a new path is added, the authentication between both hosts is necessary to check the validity of host. So, MPTCP exchanges a key when initiating an connection and makes a token by using this key for authentication. However the original MPTCP is vulnerable to MITM(Man In The Middle) attacks because the key is transported in clear text. Therefore, we applied a ECDH(Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman) key exchange algorithm to original MPTCP and replaced the original key to the ECDH public key. And, by generating the secret key after the public key exchanges, only two hosts is able to make the token using the secret key to add new subflow. Also, we designed and implemented a method supporting encryption and decryption of data using a shared secret key to apply confidentiality to original MPTCP.

The key exchange protocols are very crucial tools to provide the secure communication in the broadband satellite access network. They should be required to satisfy various requirements such as security, key confirmation, and key freshness. In this paper, we present the guideline of security functions in BSAN(Broadband Satellite Access Network), and analyze the specification of the security primitives and the hey exchange Protocols for the authenticated key agreement between RCST(Return Channel Satellite Terminal) and NCC(fretwork Control Centre). In addition, we propose the security specification for a domestic broad satellite network based on the analysis on the analysis profile of ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute) standards. The key exchange protocols proposed in ETSI standard are vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attack and they don't provide key confirmation. To overcome this shortcoming, we propose the 4 types of the key exchange protocols which have the resistant to man-in-the-middle-attack, key freshness, and key confirmation, These proposed protocols can be used as a key exchange protocol between RCST and NCC in domestic BSAN. These proposed protocols are based on DH key exchange protocol, MTI(Matsumoto, Takashima, Imai) key exchange protocol, and ECDH(Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman).

This paper proposes an ID-based entity-aunthentication and authenticated key exchange protocol with ECC via two-pass communications between two parties who airs registered to the trusted third-party KC in advance. The proposed protocol developed by applying ECDSA and Diffie-Hellman key exchange scheme to the ID-based key distribution scheme over ECC proposed by H. Sakazaki, E. Okamoto and M. Mambo(SOM scheme). The security of this protocol is based on the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem(ECDLP) and the Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman Problem(ECDHP). It is strong against unknown key share attack and it provides the perfect forward secrecy, which makes up for the weakness in SOM scheme,

Public key cryptography algorithm such as RSA and ECC, which are commonly used in current financial transaction services, can no longer guarantee security when quantum computers are realized. Therefore it is necessary to convert existing legacy algorithms to Post-Quantum Cryptography, but it is expected that will take a considerable amount of time to replace them. Hence, it is necessary to study a hybrid method combining the two algorithms in order to prepare the forthcoming transition period. In this paper we propose a hybrid session key exchange protocol that generates a session key by combining the legacy algorithm ECDH and the Post-Quantum Cryptographic algorithm NTRU. We tried the methods that proposed by the IETF for TLS 1.3 based hybrid key exchange, and as a result, it is expected that the security can be enhanced by applying the protocol proposed in this paper to the existing financial transaction session protection solution.
In this paper, we propose a key establishment scheme for multicast CoAP security. For multicast CoAP applications, a CoAP Request message from a CoAP client is sent to a group of CoAP servers while each CoAP server responds with a unicast CoAP Response message. In this case, the CoAP Request message should be secured with a group key common to both the CoAP client and servers, while a pairwise key(unicast key) should be employed to secure each CoAP Response message. In the proposed protocol, the CoAP client and the CoAP server establish the group key and the pairwise key using the ECDH in the initial CoAP message exchange process. The proposed protocol, which is highly efficient and scalable, can replace DTLS Handshake and it can support end-to-end security by setting pairwise keys.

Reliance on the Internet has introduced Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to various security threats. A reliable security protocol and an authentication scheme are thus required to prevent the aforementioned threats. However, an authentication scheme often demands additional cost and effort. Accordingly, a security framework for known participants in VoIP communication is proposed in this paper. The framework is known as Randomness-Optimized Self-Securing (ROSS), which performs authentication automatically throughout the session by optimizing the uniqueness and randomness of the communication itself. Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key exchange and Salsa20 stream cipher are utilized in the framework correspondingly to secure the key agreement and the communication with low computational cost. Human intelligence supports ROSS authentication process to ensure participant authenticity and communication regularity. The results show that with marginal overhead, the proposed framework is able to secure VoIP communication by performing reliable authentication.
A design of an elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) processor that supports both pseudo-random curves and Koblitz curves over $GF(2^m)$ defined by the NIST standard is described in this paper. A finite field arithmetic circuit based on a word-based Montgomery multiplier was designed to support five key lengths using a datapath of fixed size, as well as to achieve a lightweight hardware implementation. In addition, Lopez-Dahab's coordinate system was adopted to remove the finite field division operation. The ECC processor was implemented in the FPGA verification platform and the hardware operation was verified by Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key exchange protocol operation. The ECC processor that was synthesized with a 180-nm CMOS cell library occupied 10,674 gate equivalents (GEs) and a dual-port RAM of 9 kbits, and the maximum clock frequency was estimated at 154 MHz. The scalar multiplication operation over the 223-bit pseudo-random elliptic curve takes 1,112,221 clock cycles and has a throughput of 32.3 kbps.

This paper describes a design of cryptographic processor supporting 233-bit elliptic curves over binary field defined by NIST. Scalar point multiplication that is core arithmetic in elliptic curve cryptography(ECC) was implemented by adopting modified Montgomery ladder algorithm, making it robust against simple power analysis attack. Point addition and point doubling operations on elliptic curve were implemented by finite field multiplication, squaring, and division operations over $GF(2^{233})$, which is based on affine coordinates. Finite field multiplier and divider were implemented by applying shift-and-add algorithm and extended Euclidean algorithm, respectively, resulting in reduced gate counts. The ECC processor was verified by FPGA implementation using Virtex5 device. The ECC processor synthesized using a 0.18 um CMOS cell library occupies 49,271 gate equivalents (GEs), and the estimated maximum clock frequency is 345 MHz. One scalar point multiplication takes 490,699 clock cycles, and the computation time is 1.4 msec at the maximum clock frequency.

This paper describes a design of cryptographic processor supporting 224-bit elliptic curves over prime field defined by NIST. Scalar point multiplication that is a core arithmetic function in elliptic curve cryptography(ECC) was implemented by adopting the modified Montgomery ladder algorithm. In order to eliminate division operations that have high computational complexity, projective coordinate was used to implement point addition and point doubling operations, which uses addition, subtraction, multiplication and squaring operations over GF(p). The final result of the scalar point multiplication is converted to affine coordinate and the inverse operation is implemented using Fermat's little theorem. The ECC processor was verified by FPGA implementation using Virtex5 device. The ECC processor synthesized using a 0.18 um CMOS cell library occupies 2.7-Kbit RAM and 27,739 gate equivalents (GEs), and the estimated maximum clock frequency is 71 MHz. One scalar point multiplication takes 1,326,985 clock cycles resulting in the computation time of 18.7 msec at the maximum clock frequency.
