Seven among them were not reported in Korea yet (seven species of three genera); A. denticulata, Gl. australe, Gl. constrictum, Gl. convolutum, Gl. diaphanum, Gl. flavisporum, S. microcarpus.
This experiment was conducted to investigate the discrimination of cigarette brands and the similarity between Korea and America cigarette brands by near infrared spectra. Statistical tools such as principal component analysis (PCA) and mahalanobis distance(M.D) were used. The discrimination rate of the Korea and the America cigarette brands, determined by position number which was calculated with PCA and M.D, was 94% and 87%, respectively. The spectra of the 10 America cigarette brands were selected by averaging 5 sample spectra for each brand and another 5 spectra for each brand were investigated to use as the sample spectra. Comparing the sample spectra with the selected spectra by M.D using 410-1090 nm, 1110-1850 nm and 1970-2490 nm wavelength, the discrimination rate which was determined by the closest M.D between the sample and the selected spectra was 100% when each spectra was investigated on the same time. But the discrimination rate decreased 50% when the sample and the selected spectra were investigated on the different time. Excluding 1970-2490 nm wavelength, the discrimination rate increased up to 90% when the sample and the selected spectra were investigated on the different time. Comparing the spectra of Korea cigarette brands with those of America cigarette brands by M.D using only 410-1090 nm and 1110-1850 nm wavelength, the spectra of Expo(G) was similar to Winston, Vantage(U.L) and Benson & hedges(M.), the spectra of Hanaro(D) was similar to Carrel, Winston(L), Vantage(U.L), \Vantage and Carrel(L), the spectra of Hanaro(L) was similar to Winston(L) , Carton, Vantage and Carmel(L) and the spectra of Pinetree was similar to Kent, Kool, Kent(G.L), Merit and Benson & hedges(L), respectively. Key Words : NIRS, cigarette brands discrimination
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Erythrinae Cortex herbal-acupuncture solution(EC-HAS) at the Joksamni($ST_{36}$) of mice with collagen II-induced arthritis(CIA). Methods : The author performed several experimental procedures to observe the effects of the EC-HAS at the arthritis. The severity of arthritis, changes of cytokine level and antibody level, histological changes of the CIA mouse joint were analyzed. Results : 1. The incidence of arthritis and arthritis index were significantly decreased in the cases which were treated with the EC-HA. 2. Cartilage destruction and synovial cell proliferation were reduced, and the expression of the collagen fibers was similar with that of the normal group. 3. The levels of IL-6, $IFN-{\gamma}$, $TNF-{\alpha}$, $IL-1{\beta}$ in serum of the CIA mice which were treated with the EC-HA were significantly decreased compared with those of the normal group. 4. The levels of IgG, IgM and anti-collagen II in serum of CIA mice when they treated with the EC-HA were significantly decreased compared with those of the normal group. 5. The expression ratio of $CD4^+$ to $CD8^+$ cells in the EC-HA treated mice were maintained as much as the normal group of the lymph nodes in the CIA mice. 6. The $CD3e^+CD69^+$ and $CD11b^+Gr-1^+$ cell populations in the knee joint were significantly decreased in the EC-HA treated group. Conclusions : These results suggest that the EC-HA at the ST36 may be responsible roles to control on the synovial cell proliferation and to prevent the cartilage destruction in rheumatoid arthritis. These results will be important supporting evidence for the practical use of the EC-HA at rheumatoid arthritis clinic in the future.
The final aim of this research is to systematize the reinforced-earth wall system using the geosynthetic composite reinforcement in the weathered granite backfill soils having relatively large amount of fines. As a staged endeavour to accomplish this purpose, laboratory pull-out tests and finite element modeling are carried out in the present study focusing on the analyses of friction characteristics associated with interaction behaviors of the geosynthetic composite reinforcement composed of geogrid with a superior function in tensile resistance and geotextile with sufficient drainage effects. In addition, drainage effects of the geotextile below geogrid are examined based on the analysis of finite difference numerical modeling. From the present investigation, it is concluded that the geosynthetic composite reinforcement in the weathered granite backfills may possibly be used to achieve effects on both a reduction of deformations and an increase of the tensile resistance, together with drainage effects resulting from the geotextile.
A carbonaceous sorbent was prepared from rice husk via sulphuric acid treatment. After preparation and washing, the wet carbon with moisture content 85% was used in its wet status in this study due to its higher reactivity towards Cr(VI) than the dry carbon. The interaction of Cr(VI) and the carbon was studied and two processes were investigated in terms of kinetics and equilibrium namely Cr(VI) removal and chromium sorption. Cr(VI) removal and chromium sorption were studied at various initial pH (1.6-7), for initial Cr(VI) concentration (100 mg/l). At equilibrium, maximum Cr(VI) removal occurred at low initial pH (1.6-2) where, Cr(III) was the only available chromium species in solution. Cr(VI) removal, at such low pH, was related to the reduction to Cr(III). Maximum chromium sorption (60.5 mg/g) occurred at initial pH 2.8 and a rise in the final pH was recorded for all initial pH studied. For the kinetic experiments, approximate equilibrium was reached in 60-100 hr. Cr(VI) removal data, at initial pH 1.6-2.4, fit well pseudo first order model but did not fit pseudo second order model. At initial pH 2.6-7, Cr(VI) removal data did not fit, anymore, pseudo first order model, but fit well pseudo second order model instead. The change in the order of Cr(VI) removal process takes place in the pH range 2.4-2.6 under the experimental conditions. Other two models were tested for the kinetics of chromium sorption with the data fitting well pseudo second order model in the whole range of pH. An increase in cation exchange capacity, sorbent acidity and base neutralization capacity was recorded for the carbon sorbent after the interaction with acidified Cr(VI) indicating the oxidation processes on the carbon surface accompanying Cr(VI) reduction.

With the advance of function of smart phone system and internet services, mobile trade grows more popular in the area of e-business or banking. These environmental changes, it makes the needs of authorized certificates. Authorized certificate is not only important in these days but also future society. In 2015, 27 millions of Korean people used public key certificate, but most of them does not know the details on the public key certificate. Therefore, in this paper, we explain and investigate the characteristics on the public certificate and explain the relation ship between authorized certificate and public key encrytion. By investigating several papers, internet data, newspapers and books, we found the historical changes, substantial aspects, the encryption systems on the authorized certificate. Also we study the pros and cons of authorized certificate. Finally we predict the number of issued authorized certificate for the future society based on nonparametric statistical method.

This paper conducted a study on how the heat radiation of light emitting diode(LED) luminaires affects the indoor temperature increase. The effect was compared with that of a 20 W compact fluorescent lamp(CFL) and a 50 W MR16 halogen lamp which are most widely used inside of cruises, a LED downlight and a 4W MR16 LED replacing each of them. We installed a luminarie inside a thermally shielded chamber, measuring the temperature changes under the same volume every 5 minutes and compared the result with theoretically calculated heat radiation. The temperature changes in the chamber was measured four times, on seven hours' period in order to keep sufficient time once the temperature reaches the thermal equilibrium state. The results showed that the temperature of the 20 W E26 CFL and the 10 W LED downlight increased by $21.1^{\circ}C$ and $10.4^{\circ}C$ respectively, while that of the 50 W halogen MR16 and the 4 W LED MR16 increased by $33.9^{\circ}C$ and $4.8^{\circ}C$ respectively. The experimental heat radiation were calculated from the results and the experimental heat radiation of the CFL and the LED downlight were 171.5 cal and 86.5 cal, and those of the halogen MR16 and the LED MR16 were 275.3 cal and 36.5 cal. Therefore, the heat radiation was reduced by 49.5% and 86.7%, respectively, by replacing conventional light source with LED. In conclusion, we can expect a reduction of power consumption in air condition system and the effect on indoor temperature increase by application of LED luminaires.

We present the results of an rocket-borne observation of far-infrared [CII] line at 157.7 ${\mu}m$ from the diffuse inter-stellar medium in the Ursa Major. We also introduce a part of results on the [CII] emission recently obtained by the IRTS, a liquid-helium cooled 15cm telescope onboard the Space Flyer Unit. From the rocket-borne observation we obtained the cooling rate of the diffuse HI gas due to the [CII] line emission, which is $1.3{\pm}0.2 {\times} 10^{-26}$$ergss^{-1} H^{-1}_{atom}$. We also observed appreciable [CII] emission from the molecular clouds, with average CII/CO intensity ratio of 420. The IRTS observation provided the [CII] line emission distribution over large area of the sky along great circles crossing the Galactic plane at I = $50^{\circ}$ and I = $230^{\circ}$. We found two components in their intensity distributions, one concentrates on the Galactic plane and the another extends over at least $20^{\circ}$ in Galactic latitude. We ascribe one component to the emission from the Galactic disk, and the another one to the emission from the local interstellar gas. The [CII] cooling rate of the latter component is $5.6 {\pm} 2.2 {\times}10$.
Statins, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, are known to cause serious muscle injuries (e.g. myopathy, myositis and rhabdomyolysis), and these adverse effects can be rescued by co-administration of coenzyme $Q_{10}$ ($CoQ_{10}$) with statins. The goal of the current research is to assess the efficacy of combined treatment of $CoQ_{10}$ with Atorvastatin for hyperlipidemia induced by high-fat diet in SD rats. 4-week-old Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed normal diet or high-fat diet for 6 weeks. Then, rats were treated with either Statin or Statin with various dosages of $CoQ_{10}$ (30, 90 or 270 mg/kg/day, p.o.) for another 6 weeks. Compared to Statin only treatment, $CoQ_{10}$ supplementation significantly reduced creatine kinase and aspartate aminotransferase levels in serum which are markers for myopathy. Moreover, $CoQ_{10}$ supplementation with Statin further reduced total fat, triglycerides, total cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol. In contrast, the levels of high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and $CoQ_{10}$ were increased in the $CoQ_{10}$ co-treated group. These results indicate that $CoQ_{10}$ treatment not only reduces the side effects of Statin, but also has an anti-obesity effect. Therefore an intake of supplementary $CoQ_{10}$ is helpful for solving problem of obese metabolism, so the multiple prescription of $CoQ_{10}$ makes us think a possibility that can be solved in being contiguous to the obesity problem, a sort of disease of the obese metabolism.

The effects of Korean Red Ginseng (KRG) in rats submitted to exhaustion exercise have been studied, by measuring different enzymatic and hematological parameters in plasma and muscle. KRG powder was daily administered to 15 male Wistar rats for a period of two weeks. Another group of 15 rats with the same characteristics were administered physiological saline. Both groups were divided as follows: 5 control. 5 exercised till exhaustion and 5 recovered for 48 h after exhaustion. The following results were obtained for the groups treated with KRG in rapport to those treated with saline: - Higher endurance to running, - Increase of the osmotic resistence of red blood cells and higher presence of reticulocytes. - Lower triglyceride levels in plasma. - Increase non statistically significant of urea levels in plasma, - Lower non statistically significant hypoglycemia after exhaustion exercise. - Decrease of liver glycogen after exercise and faster recovery of the resting - level. - Protective effect on tissular damage produced by exhaustion exercise - Lower LDH activity in all studied muscles. only statistically significant in the WG.
