EMP 방호성능 시험용 통합형 E1 펄스 발생장치 분석 및 성능 개선 (Analysis and Performance Improvement of Integrated E1 Pulse Generator for EMP Protection Performance Test)

  • 본 논문에서는 HEMP(High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse)와 같은 외부전자파 환경에 노출된 EMP 방호시설에 연결된 전송선로에 유기된 HEMP 위협에 대한 전도성 방호 성능 평가를 위한 E1 펄스에 대해 연구한다. 기존 E1 펄스 발생장치는 Marx Generator 고전압 승압 방식을 사용하지만, 본 연구에서는 광대역 출력전압(30~350 kV) 가변이 용이한 Tesla Transformer 방식을 사용한다. E1 펄스 발생장치의 구성 요소인 제어기, 전원장치, 고전압 승압장치, 펄스성형장치도 각각 분석한다. Tesla Transformer를 이용한 E1 펄스는 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 예측하고, 실제 개발된 장비를 이용하여 결과를 검증한다.

전도성 E1 펄스에 대한 ZnO 바리스터의 동작특성 분석 (Response Characteristic Analysis of ZnO Varistors by the Conductive E1 Pulse)

  • This work presents the response characteristics of a ZnO varistor to conductive EMP. An E1 pulse, standardized to MIL-STD-188-125-1, was applied to the varistors wherein the residual current and response times were measured with the applied E1 pulse current. Additionally, the response time was measured according to the length of the connection path. Consequently, the amplitude of the residual voltage through the ZnO varistors was increased with increasing amplitude of the applied E1 pulse current. As the length of the connection path increased, the operating response time and residual peak voltage also increased. These results indicate that the response characteristics of ZnO varistors can be applied to basic data to support the use of varistors as a protective measure against conductive EMP.

  • The techniques of pulse and cyclic voltammetry were applied to the determination of (E$_{1}$2)$_2$-(E$_{1}$2)$_1$ for two-step electrochemical charge transfers. In addition, a simple amplitude was derived far the dependence of the differential pulse response on (E$_{l}$ 2/)$_1$ and (E$_{1}$2/)$_2$. and the use of peak to peak separation in cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse methods was evaluated. A comparison of the comproportionation constants(Ke) from differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry methods exhibited a good agreement within 5%.

  • To determine for the hybridization, we have investigated by UV spectroscopic method. This complex behavior as nonelectrolytes in polar aprotic solution with molar conductivities. The technoques of pulse and cyclic voltammetry have been applied to the determination of $(E_{1/2})_{2}$-$(E_{1/2})_{1}$ for two-step electrochemical charge transfers. A simple amplitude has been derived for the dependence of the differential-pulse response on $(E_{1/2})_{1}$ and $(E_{1/2})_{2}$. The use of the peak-to-peak separation in cyclic voltammetry has also been evaluated. Comparison with a differential pulse and cyclic voltammetry methods shows agreement of comproportionation constant$(K_{c})$ within 50%.

  • Pulse-feeling took its origin from making a diagnosis along meridians in the course of discovering and forming meridians and for a long time its meaning was mixed with meridians in the course of recognizing "The Pulse" then was separated from meridians in the early days of Western Han Dynasty. Ancient pulse-feeling methods are pulse-feeling method by the twelve regular meridians, pulse-feeling method by three regions and nine modes, pulse-feeling method by Inyeong(人迎) and Chon-gu(寸口), etc. Pulse-feeling was changed in proportion to diagnostic purpose and method of treating and if method and region of pulse-feeling is arranged, we will infer correlation between meridians and pulse-feeling and will infer transitional system of past pulse-feeling and will forecast transition of future pulse-feeling. As the result that I study the transition of the above three pulse-feeling methods of meridians diagnosis: 1. Three pulse-feeling methods of meridians diagnosis flowed into diagnostic method by taking pulse of setting six region for Chon(寸), Gwan(關) and Cheok(尺), i.e. the Chon[寸] spot pulse of $\ll$Nan-gyeong$\gg$ and were changed into diagnostic method being fit for use of five Su points, The Front-Mo points and Back-Su points that grasp the pathology of mutual internal organs and treat the disease. 2. Today it is suggesting the transition of another pulse-feeling method that do not apply diagnostic method by taking pulse of setting six region for Chon(寸), Gwan(關) and Cheok(尺), i.e. the Chon[寸] spot pulse of $\ll$Nan-gyeong$\gg$ to 19C Sasang(四象) Constitutional Medicine or 20C Eight Constitutional Medicine.

A novel approach in voltage transient technique for the measurement of electron mobility and mobility-lifetime product in CdZnTe detectors

  • In this study, a new measurement method based on voltage transients in CdZnTe detectors response to low energy photon irradiations is applied to measure the electron mobility (${\mu}_e$) and electron mobility-lifetime product $({\mu}{\tau})_e$ in a CdZnTe detector. In the proposed method, the pulse rise times are derived from low energy photon response to 59.5 keV($^{241}Am$), 88 keV($^{109}Cd$) and 122 keV($^{57}Co$) ${\gamma}-rays$ for the irradiation of the cathode surface at each detector for different bias voltages. The electron $({\mu}{\tau})_e$ product was then determined by measuring the variation in the photopeak amplitude as a function of bias voltage at a given photon energy using a pulse-height analyzer. The $({\mu}{\tau})_e$ values were found to be $(9.6{\pm}1.4){\times}10^{-3}cm^2V^{-1}$ for $1000mm^3$, $(8.4{\pm}1.6){\times}10^{-3}cm^2V^{-1}$ for $1687.5mm^3$ and $(7.6{\pm}1.1){\times}10^{-3}cm^2V^{-1}$ for $2250mm^3$ CdZnTe detectors. Those results were then compared with the literature $({\mu}{\tau})_e$ values for CdZnTe detectors. The present results indicate that, the electron mobility ${\mu}_e$ and electron $({\mu}{\tau})_e$ values in CdZnTe detectors can be measured easily by applying voltage transients response to low energy photons, utilizing a fast signal acquisition and data reduction and evaluation.

  • Current desulfurization and denitrification technologies have reached a considerable level in terms of reduction efficiency. However, when compared with the simultaneous reduction technology, the individual reduction technologies have issues such as economic disadvantages due to the difficulty to scale-up apparatus, secondary pollution from wastewater/waste during the treatment process, requirement of large facilities for post-treatment, and increased installation costs. Therefore, it is necessary to enable practical application of simultaneous SOx and NOx treatment technologies to remove two or more contaminants in one process. The present study analyzes a technology capable of maintaining simultaneous treatment of SOx and NOx even at low temperatures due to the electrochemically generated strong oxidation of the wet-pulse complex system. This system also reduces unreacted residual gas and secondary products through the wet scrubbing process. It addresses common problems of the existing fuel gas treatment methods such as SDR, SCR, and activated carbon adsorption (i.e., low treatment efficiency, expensive maintenance cost, large installation area, and energy loss). Experiments were performed with varying variables such as pulse voltage, reaction temperature, chemicals and additives ratios, liquid/gas ratio, structure of the aeration cleaning nozzle, and gas inlet concentration. The performance of individual and complex processes using the wet-pulse discharge reaction were analyzed and compared.

  • Pulse electric field induced electron emission from ferroelectrics has been studied with Pb$(Zr_xTi_{1-x})O_3$ ceramics with varying Zr/Ti ratio from 35/65 to 65/35, Electron emission was proved to be concentrated on the electrode edge by emission profile test and emission capture photographs. The 65/35 composition showed largest emission charge in lowest field and lowest emission threshold field. The emission characteristics are closely dependent on their ferroelectric properties in hysteresis curve. Electron emission charge increases with the polarization charge and emission threshold voltage is dependent on coercive field regardless of their composition. But dielectric constant has little relation with emission property. Electron emission charge increases exponentially with pulse electric field irrespective of composition. On the assumption that the surface potential is linear with the pulse electric field, electron emission can be regarded as a field emission at the electrode edge using Fowler-Nordheim plot of ln$(Q_e/E_{fe})$ to $1/E_{fe}$.

AWGN 채널에서 M진 임펄스 통신의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of M-ary Impulse Communications over AWGN Channels)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 제한적으로 사용이 승인된 UWB(초광대역: Ultra-Wideband) 통신을 AWGN 하에서 다중 접속을 고려하지 않은 단일 사용사일 경우로 가정시, M진 값이 변화함에 따른 에러율과 성능 개선 기법으로 BCH를 채용시의 에러율을 비교 분석하였다. 기존에 연구되어 오던 변조로 PAM(Pulse Amplitude Modulation)과 PPM(Pulse Position Modulation)방식을 비교하였으며 에러율 $10^{-6}$을 기준으로 M=2, 4일 경우 PAM이 PPM보다 약 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ =3~4[dB], M=8 이상의 경우 PPM이 약 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ =9[dB], M=16일 경우 약 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ =15[dB]정도 성능이 우수하였다. AWGN 채널 하에서 에러 정정 부호인 BCH(15,7)를 도입하였을 경우 에러율 $10^{-6}$을 기준으로 PAM방식은 약 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ 가 약 1[dB], PPM 방식은 M=2, 4일 경우 약 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ =1~1.5[dB]정도 개선되었다.

첨단 지상파항법시스템(eLoran) 시범서비스의 LDC 메시지 변조기법에 따른 수신성능 분석 (Analysis of LDC Message Reception Performance of Korean eLoran Pilot Service according to Modulation Methods)

  • eLoran 시스템에서 보다 높은 정확도로 시각 및 위치 정보를 제공하기 위해 별도의 데이터 채널인 Loran Data Channel (LDC)를 사용한다. LDC 메시지는 기존의 8개의 Loran 펄스 중 항법에 사용하지 않는 3-8번째 펄스의 전송시각을 변조하여 송출하는 Eurofix 방식과 9번째 추가 펄스를 이용해 데이터를 변조하는 9th 펄스 방식으로 변조될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 eLoran 송신국에서 송출하는 LDC 메시지의 변조방법에 따른 수신 성능을 분석하였다. 인천에 설치하여 시범운영 중인 eLoran 시험 송신국에서 9th 펄스 변조방법과 Eurofix 변조방법으로 동시에 LDC 메시지를 송출할 수 있도록 설정하고, 인천과 평택의 eLoran 보정기준국의 데이터베이스 내 저장된 LDC 메시지를 분석해 변조방법에 따른 LDC 메시지 수신률을 분석하였다. 또한 항로표지 관리선 인성 1호를 이용해 인천항 인근에서 실제 사용자의 LDC 메시지 수신률을 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 정식 eLoran 서비스 과정에서 공식적인 LDC 방송 메시지를 확정하기 위한 기술자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
