  • In order to efficiently provide the learning ability for engineering education, electromagnetic field simulator have been developed on lava 2 platform. Each simulation module based on lava applet can be easily utilized with independent platform and provide GUI environment to set up physical conditions. The numerical results using computer animation technique are provided in real time. To aggregate and manage the learning objects, application of SCORM which is e-Learning standards is also studied.

  • With the recent advance of IT technology and the change of education paradigm, vocational training has been also evolved. In the background of mobilization of learning, increase of bite-size contents, and the agility of just-in-time learning, this study surveyed the online learners' motivation, perceptions, and learning behaviour. Total 4,021 learners from 6 distance learning institutions revealed that learners take the e-learning courses due to more for their self-development than the company's supports and policy. Also, they perceived the subject matter in contents are the most important. The results from this study suggest that the development of contents should focus on the subject matter that can be utilized for their jobs immediately. Lastly, the study confirms that learning space and time has been changed in the flexible way to use their spare time between work and life. Irregularity of learning and hasty preparations were one of major characteristics in the aspect of learning behaviour.

  • Owing to pandemic (COVID-19), the traditional face-to-face education method has been changed to the non-face-to-face real-time online education methods. Using a real time-based video conference system, synchronous education can be adopted by face-to-face class easily. Specially, it is very important to minimize the difference in learning effects between face-to-face and non-face-to-face in Entrepreneurship education. In this study, in order to derive the factors that affect the satisfaction of learners in synchronous online education, authors collected data from learners taking a synchronous entrepreneurship course. Through previous research, learned the reality of education and the composition of lessons. Spatiotemporal effectiveness, mentor ability, and educational environment influence learning satisfaction. PLS-SEM results revealed that it was confirmed that only spatiotemporal effects affect learner satisfaction. However, the education environment (fluent operation and convenience of function use of real-time based online conference system) effect teaching presence, class structure, and spatiotemporal effects. Through this research, we hope to provide theoretical and practical support for developing effective teacher activities, proper lesson structure, convenient function of the conference system, and learner-centered online learning environment when developing synchronous online classes.

  • Wireless communication technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in smart factories, but the rise in the number of wireless devices can lead to interference in the ISM band and obstacles like metal blocks within the factory can weaken communication signals, creating radio shadow areas that impede information exchange. Consequently, accurately determining the radio communication coverage range is crucial. To address this issue, a Radio Environment Map (REM) can be used to provide information about the radio environment in a specific area. In this paper, a technique for estimating an indoor REM usinga mobile robot and machine learning methods is introduced. The mobile robot first collects and processes data, including the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and location estimation. This data is then used to implement the REM through machine learning regression algorithms such as Extra Tree Regressor, Random Forest Regressor, and Decision Tree Regressor. Furthermore, the numerical and visual performance of REM for each model can be assessed in terms of R2 and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE).

  • Considered as the "new normal" mode of learning, BL has become popular in recent years especially in University education. BL is defined as a learning approach that combines e-learning and face-to-face classroom learning. BL allows for more interactive and reflective learning environment resulting in enhancing learner-directed learning. The adoption of BL in university has made it significant to probe the crucial determinants that would entice instructors and learners to use BL and enhance learning satisfaction. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the affecting factors of the satisfaction of BL in universities in terms of leaner's aspects. Learner's role is very important in BL, because learner should self-directed study for effective performance and satisfaction in BL environment. Based on prior studies motivation, self-efficacy, and educational expectancy were identified as affecting factors of satisfaction in BL. According to the result of multiple regression, all factors(motivation, self-efficacy, and educational expectancy) were found to be significantly related to the learner's satisfaction in BL. It can provide practical guideline on effective operation strategy for BL in universities.

  • The object of this paper is to make learners have study environment to study adaptively, anywhere, anyone, anytime and, just in time, not disturbed by time and place. So, it helps learners find solutions to questions and problems which they can face in the process of learning. This paper desires to find possibility of ontology which can solve problems after considering semantic web and theory of ontology by studying existing reference books. As ontology has the structure that can guess the data which is not showed clearly, so it can make the result more accurate and be the knowledge every learner sympathize and trust. I established the ontology frame about the electronic circuit which learners can solve their questions everywhere, anytime, and reconfirm what they studied, so I studied on application for e-learning based on ontology.

  • Reinforcement Learning (RL) is one of machine learning methods and an RL agent autonomously learns the action selection policy by interactions with its environment. At the beginning of RL research, it was limited to problems in environments assumed to be Markovian Decision Process (MDP). However in practical problems, the agent suffers from the incomplete perception, i.e., the agent observes the state of the environments, but these observations include incomplete information of the state. This problem is formally modeled by Partially Observable MDP (POMDP). One of the possible approaches to POMDPS is to use historical nformation to estimate states. The problem of these approaches is how t..

  • In this paper, we propose a Scorm-based Sequencing & Navigation Model for Collaborative Learning. It is an e-Learning process control model that is used to efficiently and graphically defining Scorm's content aggregation model and its sequencing prerequistites through a formal approach. To define a process based model uses the expanded ICN(Information Control Net) model. which is called SCOSNCN(SCO Sequencing & Navigation Control Net). We strongly believe that the process-driven model delivers a way of much more convenient content aggregating work and system, in terms of not only defining the intended sequence and ordering of learning activities, but also building the runtime environment for sequencing and navigation of learning activities and experiences.
