  • This study aims at providing comprehensive data which would be helpful to establish a web shopping mall by analyzing the structure of web fashion star shops which have recently emerged as a result of advances in digital technology and communication. For the purpose of analyzing VMD strategy used in web fashion star shop, we adopt both of the documental and empirical research methods, based on which we examine the concept of E-commerce and current business situation of web fashion star shop industry, and then analyze the main page, product category page and product detail page in a star shop featured by a male pop star within a web shopping mall. According to our analysis of the structure of web fashion star shop, in case of open market, a banner with star's image on it leads to star shop when people click on the link of the banner, and in case of independent mall, they show each star's unique style in the main page. Product category page is linked to each product detail page which presents items of various fashion coordinates, satisfying needs of consumers to follow star's trendy fashion sense.

  • Korean government has been putting efforts to promote development of technologies by government sponsored labs and to transfer, diffuse, and commercialize these technologies in private sector since mid 1980s. In spite of these efforts, utilization of government-sponsored technology remains in the very low level. According to the survey conducted by Korea Intellectual and Patent Office (1999), the ratio of unused industrial property rights including patents was above 70% of total industrial property rights. Survey on the information and telecommunication industry done by the Institute of Information Technology Assessment (IITA) in 1999 shows that the utilization ratio of government-sponsored technologies is about 55.8%. This is especially true where government is not the primary or end-user of technologies. The purposes of this paper are to (1) identify a process model of technology commercialization, (2) develop the related variables of each step in the six-step continuous process model of government-sponsored technology commercialization, (3) empirically investigate the data gathered through questionnaire survey, and (4) suggest policy alternatives for promoting technology commercialization in Information and Telecommunication industries.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a new process model for architects and suppliers in AEC(Architectural, Engineering and Construction) industry, which comes from its utilization of a distributed database. Information used by participants of this process is not held in one singular application sewer, but in tile databases of multiple participants. This study addresses the problem of coping with dynamic information changes that architects face when designing with increasingly time-sensitive product information from multiple suppliers. It also describes the new distributed architecture for design representation, and outlines a corresponding process model to address the needs architectural designers during design and procurement phases. The feasibility of the process was tested in a prototype system that combines existing technologies, which allows for an objects transfer from the Web to the CAD application.

  • In order to understand China's internet governance, this paper examined 1,931 Internet policies of China by bibliometric techniques. Specifically, the bibliometric techniques include simple document counting, co-word analysis, collaboration network analysis and citation analysis. The findings include: (1) China's Internet legislations mainly emphasized e-commerce and Internet governance, and, to some extent, neglected personal data protection; (2) China's Internet is under intensive multiple regulatory controls by central government. A large number of government agencies are involved in Internet policy-making. The Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Information Leading Group of the State Council, enforced fewer policy documents, but occupy higher positions in the Internet governance hierarchy; (3) China's Internet legislation system is primarily composed of industry-specific administrative rules, rather than laws or administrative regulations. Nevertheless, laws and administrative regulations received significantly more citations owing to their superior force. This paper also discussed current gaps in China's internet governance and how the country's internet policies are situated in the broader global context.

  • This study explores the convergence of metaverse and short-form content, proposing a new approach for viewing short-form content with a vertical aspect ratio on a metaverse platform and within a virtual museum. Short-form content has gained popularity due to the snack culture and is proving to be advantageous in e-commerce. By studying the relationship between vertical ratio screens and gaze, we confirm the effectiveness of vertical ratio short-form content in providing immersive experiences and fostering sharing and communication. The proposed virtual museum offers opportunities for innovative businesses to market through fandom. This research highlights the value of vertical proportion short-form content and its significance in the convergence of metaverse and short-form content. It aims to contribute to industry development, provide new creative directions, enhance personal visual experiences, and expand applicability in related fields.

  • People's focus steadily shifted toward fashion as a popular aesthetic expression as their quality of life improved. Humans are inevitably drawn to things that are more aesthetically appealing. This human proclivity has resulted in the evolution of the fashion industry over time. However, too many clothing alternatives on e-commerce platforms have created additional obstacles for clients in recognizing their suitable outfit. Thus, in this paper, we proposed a personalized Fashion Recommender system that generates recommendations for the user based on their previous purchases and history. Our model aims to generate recommendations using an image of a product given as input by the user because many times people find something that they are interested in and tend to look for products that are like that. In the system, we first reduce data dimensionality by component analysis to avoid the curse of dimensionality, and then the final suggestion is generated by neural network. To create the final suggestions, we have employed neural networks to evaluate photos from the H&M dataset and a nearest neighbor backed recommender.

  • Manufacturer's competitiveness in the MRO industry, which is to stimulate the growth of the business-to-business e-commerce market, has recently become more important. A nuclear parts manufacturer was supplying products based on irregular demand from clients which differs from ordinary MRO business practices. The reason for this is the Nuclear Parts Manufacturer has fallen behind the e-commerce performance of other industries, and they lack global competitiveness due to the low efficiency of the individual companies within it. In this study, we developed an MRO based a-Marketplace system to minimize repetitive ordering of raw materials, lack of reusability and inefficiency of transaction processing which was a result of the former legacy business practice, In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, we implemented a web based automated CR system which considered the characteristics of the nuclear parts manufacturing: the system has sub modules such as ordering, product management, transaction management, warehousing and raw material handling. As a consequence of the system implementation, H corporate successfully automated ordering of raw materials, quotation processing and inventory management compared to the legacy business process, achieving increased efficiency by reducing wasteful resources.

  • Purpose - The aim of this work is to study the reorientation that the export industrial sectors in Costa Rica have experienced during the last 20 years. Research design, data, methodology - The study employs the Cluster Analysis with the export data (20 years of cut-off period) from Costa Rica to the U.S-market. To make the predictions, the technique of the time series was used, with official data (from 2001 to 2010) from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Results - The Cluster Analysis, show how the economic sectors of traditional products exports of Costa Rica have progressively become in exporters of non-traditional products, meanwhile, the time series confirms that this trend will continue, at least during the next five years. Conclusions - The industry of traditional products exports of Costa Rica (dressmaking, vegetables, coffee, mate, species, etc.) will progressively become in exporters of non- traditional products with a high-tech component (i.e., mechanical equipment and devices, electronic devices and medical equipment),as a consequence of the Chinese (Costa Rica's main competitor) economy's presence in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OCDE). This fact has enabled the potential improvement of Costa Rica's international competitiveness in the U.S. market.
