  • Current DRM system has limitation in protection of user's privacy Therefore, many troubles are expected in service providing if it comes into the ubiquitous times of context-aware environment. HKUST Proposed a watermark-based web service DRM system. However, the relevant study does not consider ubiquitous environment and cannot provide service that considered a context. And privacy protection of a user is impossible. On the other hand, Netherlands Phillips laboratory indicated a privacy problem of a DRM system and they proposed an alternative method about this. However, in relevant study, a Sniffing/Replay attack is possible if communicated authentication information are exposed between a user and device. We designed web services adaptable privacy-aware DRM architecture which supplements these disadvantages. Our architecture can secure user authentication mechanism for sniffing/Replay attack and keep anonymity and protect privacy Therefore , we can implement the privacy-aware considered web service DRM system in Context-Aware environment.

  • The study of the compatibility of EPUB DRM, granted by the Korea Copyright Commission, as a CT R & D project (Project Title: The Development of the standard reference software technology for International Standard EPUB-based eBook DRM) developed standards such as profile standards for encryption digital signature and authentication certificates and standards for technical terms of rights information. In 2012, these four standards have been established as the Korean Industrial Standards under the names of 'Encryption specification for EPUB DRM,' 'the Digital signature specification for EPUB DRM,' 'the Certificate specification for EPUB DRM,' and 'Definitions of Right Terms for EPUB DRM' through the ODPF(Open Digital Standardization Forum) and the TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association). The research project also proposed standards of ebook DRM license protocols in order for the four standards to practically apply to ebook DRM compatibility. It is necessary for technology standards to require a compatibility standard test process for testing whether implementations which were developed on the basis of the standard specification, comply with standards. This study suggests an automated compatible standard test method and a test model under the ebook DRM standard technical specification.

  • The contents for multimedia are very activated along to revolution of Internet. So this fact allows the contents for multimedia to be commercialized. These contents , however, included much vulnerability that it is difficult to be commercialized because attackers easily reproduce that. Many developers want to use watermarking method as the technique to protect the contents for multimedia, but it is very vulnerable to use only one method. This paper proposes the Secure DRM system which protects the contents for multimedia using Public Key Infrastructure and steganography methods. The SDRM system is more powerful than general DRM systems in that it has the special feature of watermarking and steganography techniques. We can prevent the attackers from reproducing and stealing the contents illegally, and authenticating users through SDRM systems.

  • ePUB is one of the most pervasive eBook formats since it was announced as a 2009 standard in IDPF(International Digital Publishing Forum). ePUB is compressed as a ZIP Archive format and structured as a standard format of OCF. Domestically and internationally, eBook services applying DRM into ePUB have currently been active, while it does not satisfy various needs from business because it does not support preview service which is due to the encryption of the whole ePUB as a single key. This study suggests a way to apply diverse business models by providing eBook content based on ePUB multiple key encryption method, not by encrypting it simply as a single key. The encryption method which applies a multiple key encryption method is suggested as a practically appliable form together with licence issuing and delivery method and decryption method in eBook readers. The multiple key encryption method suggested in this study will make it possible to support partial preview services of ePUB based eBook content. It will be applied to diverse service models and enhance the security level better then single key based encryption method.

  • 인터넷은 처음에는 단순히 오프라인에서 유통되는 실물 상품의 흐름을 중개해주는 역할을 해왔으나 인터넷을 통한 실물상품의 중개는 아날로그 상태의 상품들이 인터넷이라는 거간꾼의 중개작용을 통한 전자상거래 형태로 정착되었다. 이러한 실물 상품 유통의 중개자였던 인터넷은 실물 상품들이 디지털화 됨으로써 컨텐츠들의 유통을 위한 통로이면서 동시에 그 자체로서 메시지가 되어버린 하나의 매체로 전환하게 되었다. 그러나, 인터넷을 통해 디지털 컨텐츠들이 쉽고 간편하게 원본과 똑같은 품질로 복제할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 상상을 초월하는 빠른 속도로 이동이 가능하여 사용자들이 불법으로 얼마든지 이용할 수 있다는 것이다. 현재 국내, 국외에서 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안한 기술 디지털 컨텐츠들을 보호하고 관리할 수 있도록 하는 DRM(Digital Rights Management)이라는 시스템이 계속적으로 개발되고 있다[1]. 디지털 컨텐츠를 보호하고 저작권을 관리하는 시스템인 DRM 에는 크게 세 가지의 기본 시스템(Publisher, Customer, DRM Server System)이 있다. 본 논문에서는 컨텐츠를 등록하고 저작권자가 그 컨텐츠를 관리하는 DRM Publisher System을 키 알고리즘을 이용하여 설계한다.

  • 아날로그 TV의 디지털화와 마찬가지로 아날로그 라디오 방송의 디지털화도 세계적인 추세이다. DRM(Digital Radio Mondiale)은 송신소의 위치, 방송 지역 및 사용하는 주파수에 따라, 동작모드가 A~E까지 5가지가 있으며, 모드 A~D는 30MHz이하 대역의 디지털 라디오 방송에 사용되는 모드이며, 모드 E는 Band I~II 대역의 디지털 라디오 방송에 사용되는 모드이다. 본 논문에서는 DRM 모드 A~E까지의 신호를 수신 및 분석 가능한 USB 타입 DRM 수신기 구현에 관하여 정리하였다. 대역 필터 및 디지털 다운 컨버터가 DSP를 이용하여 구현되었으며 PC Side에서 DRM 신호를 분석할 수 있도록 설계되었다.

Isolation and Expression of Dormancy-associated protein 1 (DRM1) in Poplar (Populus alba × P. glandulosa) (현사시나무에서 Dormancy-associated protein 1 (DRM1) 유전자의 분리와 발현특성 구명)

  • Dormancy-associated protein (DRM) is involved in the dormancy physiology of plants and is conserved in almost all plant species. Recent studies found that DRM genes are involved in the abiotic stress response, and characterization studies of these genes have been conducted in several plants. However, few studies have focused on DRM genes in woody plants. Therefore, in this study, cDNA coding for DRM (PagDRM1) was isolated from poplar (Populus alba ${\times}$ P. glandulosa), and its structure and expression characteristics were investigated. PagDRM1 encodes a putative protein composed of 123 amino acids, and the protein contains two conserved domains (Domain I and Domain II). PagDRM1 is present as one or two copies in the poplar genome. Its expression level was highest in the stem, followed by mature leaves, roots, and flowers. During the growth of cultured cells in suspension, PagDRM1 was highly expressed from the late-exponential phase to the stationary phase. In addition, PagDRM1 expression increased in response to drought, salt stress, and treatment with plant hormones (e.g., abscisic acid and gibberellic acid). Therefore, we suggested that PagDRM1 not only plays an important role in the induction of dormancy, but also contributes to stress tolerance in plants.

  • As a DRM is recently being removed from many sites, the content protection on a video server becomes important. However, many protection methods have their own limitations, or aren't used due to the deterioration of the streaming performance. This paper proposes a content protection method that uses both the eCryptFS and the SELinux at the same time, and measures the performance of the proposed method by using various benchmarks. Then, this paper verifies that the method doesn't significantly decrease the streaming performance although the proposed method decreases the other performances, so it can be used for the content protection in a multimedia system.

  • The Internet presents a unique platform for disseminating digital content such as music, video, games, software, text, business and proprietary corporate information. It promises ubiquitous access, while at the same time fundamentally challenging the traditional rules of ownership and distribution of content. In such environment, safe protection and proper delivery of digital content would be a crucial requirement toward a new e-business model. Research on the Digital Rights Management (DRM) focuses on filling this functional vacancy of the market transition by providing a more viable business model based. XrML(eXtensible Rights Markup Language) provides a universal tool for specification of rights, fees, and issuing conditions(licenses) associated with the use and protection of digital content. ContentGuard has developed XrML to unify the Digital Rights Management(DRM) specifications and encourage interoperability. It seems that all working groups of DRM agree to use XrMl for their right description language.
