DoE를 이용한 인젝터 유량 편차에 의한 배출가스 편차에 대한 강건 엔진 매핑 가능성의 검토 (Feasibility Study on Robust Calibration by DoE to Minimize the Exhaust Emission Deviations from Injector Flow Rate Scatters)

  • The hardware scatters as well as the engine parameters calibration have strong influences on exhaust emissions in recent diesel engines. In this research DoE(Design of Experiments) optimizations were done to study the possibility of minimizing the emission deviations caused by flow rate scatters of the injectors. It has been shown that the optimization of engine calibration, which minimizes the emission deviations, is feasible by establishing a target function representing the emission deviations for test results of maximum, mean and minimum flow rate injectors. It has also been shown that optimization of both emission deviations and emission level is possible by sequential DoE optimizations of the target functions representing the emission level and the emission deviations respectively with the appropriate boundary limits.

  • A driver interacts directly with the car seat at all times. There are ergonomic characteristics that have to be followed to produce comfortable seats. However, most of previous researches focused on either static or dynamic condition only. In addition, research on car seat development is critically lacking although Malaysia herself manufactures its own car. Hence, this paper integrates objective measurements and subjective evaluation to predict seat discomfort. The objective measurements consider both static and dynamic conditions. Steven's psychophysics power law has been used in which after expansion; ${\psi}\;=\;a+b{\varphi}_s^{\alpha}+c{\varphi}_v^{\beta}$ where ${\psi}$ is discomfort sensation, ${\varphi}_s^{\alpha}$ is static modality with exponent ${\alpha}$ and ${\varphi}_v^{\beta}$ is dynamic modality with exponent ${\beta}$. The subjects in this study were local and the cars used were Malaysian made compact car. Static objective measurement was the seat pressure distribution measurement. The experiment was carried out on the driver's seat in a real car with the engine turned off. Meanwhile, the dynamic objective measurement was carried out in a moving car on real roads. During pressure distribution and vibration transmissibility experiments, subjects were requested to evaluate their discomfort levels using vehicle seat discomfort survey questionnaire together with body map diagram. From subjective evaluations, seat pressure and vibration dose values exponent for static modality ${\alpha}$ = 1.51 and exponent for dynamic modality ${\beta}$ = 1.24 were produced. The curves produced from the $E_{q.s}$ showed better $R_{-sq}$ values (99%) when both static and dynamic modalities were considered together as compared to Eq. with single modality only (static or dynamic only R-Sq = 95%). In conclusion, car seat discomfort prediction gives better result when seat development considered both static and dynamic modalities; and using ergonomic approach.

자동차 아키텍처의 모듈화: 승용차 사례를 중심으로 (Modularization of Automotive Product Architecture: Evidence from Passenger Car)

  • 승용차의 아키텍처는 어떻게 진화해왔는가? 그간 승용차 아키텍처에 대한 논의는 통합형, 모듈형, 그리고 두 유형의 공존 등이 혼재되어 왔다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 글로벌 무역 자료를 활용하여 제품의 중층 구조를 반영한 모듈화의 진전 측정 지수를 개발하고, 이를 아키텍처 유형 프레임워크에 적용하여 승용차 아키텍처의 모듈화 진행을 종단적으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 승용차 아키텍처는 지난 2000년 이후 모듈화가 지속적으로 진행되었음을 확인하였으며, 동시에 모듈화 진행은 구성 모듈 별로 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 모듈 중에는 프론트-엔드, 운전석 및 시트 모듈의 모듈화 진행이 뚜렷함을 확인된 반면, 차체 도어 천장 모듈은 소비자 니즈 충족을 위한 외부 디자인 차별화 및 완성차와 모듈업체 간 상호 조율강화로 인해 모듈화가 더디게 진행됨을 관찰하였다. 또한 샤시, 엔진, 그리고 트랜스미션 모듈로 구성된 플랫폼은 모델 다양화, 생산 원가 절감, 신제품 개발 기간 단축을 위한 완성차 업계의 지속적인 노력에 따라 모듈화가 지속 진전됨을 확인하였다. 플랫폼 구성 모듈 중에서는 트랜스미션의 모듈화 진전이 가장 두드러진 반면 샤시와 엔진 모듈은 완성차 업체의 자체 혁신 노력으로 인해 비교적 통합형 아키텍처 경향이 강한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 제품 아키텍처의 모듈화를 계량적으로 측정, 그 진행을 종단적으로 측정할 수 있는 접근법을 제시하는데 기여하였다. 또한 모듈 별 상이한 모듈화 진전에 대한 고찰을 통해 관련 연구의 분석 수준의 세분화 필요성을 제안하였다. 아울러 본 연구는 승용차 산업 전반에서 일어나고 있는 아키텍처 모듈화 진전 현상을 규명함으로써 완성차 업체 뿐 아니라 모듈 업체의 아키텍처 선택과 그에 따른 전략 수립의 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 본 연구가 다양한 제조업과 그 제품의 모듈화 진전을 규명하는데 활용되기를 기대한다.

Development of an ICT Car Service Applying a Human-Centered Design

  • Currently, various technological models and services are emerging because of the development of information and communication technology and the convergence of industries. The ICT car field is expanding because of technological convergence in the automobile industry. However, ICT convergence services are still being developed based solely on technology; characterization of users and their needs is lacking. Therefore, two types of ICT car services that apply human-centered design processes are developed in this study. These processes create services and models while considering the quality and functions of products based on users (instead of technology) when developing products or services. Usability evaluation was performed on the developed services; a human-centered design process was applied to the results to confirm that the derived services resulted in high satisfaction. In the future, these research results will provide useful applications when developing ICT car services and strategies.

품질위험 지각 정도에 따른 인터넷 중고차 사이트의 신뢰형성 요인과 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Antecedents of Trust Building and its Effects on Purchase Intention for Internet Used-car Transaction)

  • Trust has been identified as a key component in many e-Commerce studies. The purpose of this study is to find out which factors play a major role in building trust and how the built-up trust affect consumer's purchase intention in Internet used-car transactions. Based on the information asymmetry, TAM(Technology Acceptance Model), and the trust theory, our research model includes factors such as a buyer's propensity-to-trust, institutional characteristics(inspection and warranty policy), word-of-mouth referral, perceived size, and perceived benefits as independent variables. The model also includes trust as a mediate variable, intention to purchase as a dependent variable and perceived quality risk as a moderate variable. The research model is tested by analyzing 787 sample data gathered from Internet used-car transaction sites. The result shows that the trust has significant effects on the online purchase intention, and institutional characteristics has been identified as the most significant factor for the trust of Internet used-car sites. The independent factors influencing trust vary depending on the level of perceived quality risk. For users who perceive the quality risk low, the perceived benefits explain a little portion of the purchase intention. However, those who perceive quality risk high would purchase used-cars only when they have trust on the Internet sites, indicating that trust play an important role as a mediate variable. This study suggests that enhancing the trust in Internet used-car sites is important to increase online transactions.

운전자 설문을 통한 자동차 운전자의 실수 확률 추정 (Estimation of Car Driver Error Probabilities Through Driver Questionnaire)

  • Car crashes are the leading cause of death for persons of every age. Specially, human-related factor has been known to be the primary causal factor of such crashes than vehicle-and environmental-related factors. There are various studies to analyze driver's behavior and characteristics in driving for reducing the car crashes in many areas of car engineering, psychology, human factor, etc. However, there are almost no studies which analyze mainly the human errors in driving and estimate their probabilities in terms of human reliability analysis. This study estimates the probability of human error in driving, i.e. driver error probability. First, fifty driver errors are investigated through DBQ (Driver Behavior Questionnaire) revision and the error likelihoods in driving are collected which are judged by skillful drivers using revised DBQ. Next, these likelihoods are converted into driver error probabilities using the results that verbal probabilistic expressions are changed into quantitative probabilities. Using these probabilities we can improve the warning effects on drivers by indicating their driving error likelihoods quantitatively. We can also expect the reduction effects of car accident through controlling especially dangerous error groups which have higher probabilities. Like these, the results of this study can be used as the primary materials of safety education on drivers.

고성능 카 오디오 DSP 설정을 위한 GUI와 통신 인터페이스 개발 (Development of GUI and Communition Interface for High Quality Car Audio DSP)

  • 최근의 고성능 카 오디오는 고음질과 다양한 음원입력 신호를 처리하기 위해 전용의 신호처리 칩을 사용하는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 카 오디오 전용 DSP인 필립스의 SAF7730을 사용한 고성능 카 오디오 설계시에 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 개발 도구를 제작하였다. 이 개발 도구는 윈도우 운영 체제에서 동작하는 설정 GUI프로그램과 통신 인터페이스 보드로 구성되어 있다. 설정 GUI프로그램은 사용자가 SAF7730에 내장된 신호처리 기능의 설정을 손쉽게 할 수 있도록 구성되어 있으며, 통신 인터페이스 보드는 설정 프로그램과 SAF7730간의 통신 프로토콜 및 데이터 포맷의 변환을 처리하도록 제작하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 시스템은 실제 상품화된 카 오디오 설계에 적용되어 그 유용성을 입증하였다.

자동차 환경에서 스마트 모바일 블랙박스 DVR (Smart Mobile Blackbox DVR in Car Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 사고 자동인식 서비스 제공과 위험 운전 여부 등을 통하여 운전자의 운전습관을 교정해 주고 사고 전후의 동영상을 재현하는 확장성이 높은 모바일 블랙박스 DVR (SMBD, Smart Mobile Blackbox DVR) 컴퓨터의 모델링 설계를 하였다. SMBD는 임베디드 시스템에 무선 기능을 탑재하여 차량이 휴면상태에서도 사고발생 지점과 영상정보를 무선통신을 이용하여 24시간 관제센터에 통보함으로써 긴급구난 서비스 및 교통정보를 제공 받을 수 있다. 또한 차량 ECU(Electronic Control Unit)의 차량정보 및 센서 데이터와 연동하여 무선 eCall (Emergency Call) 서비스를 실현할 수 있다.

  • This research suggests the assessment method of the additional lateral force caused bending moment of CWR when a freight car loading it is passing over turnout system or curves. The characteristics of lateral lone are analyzed by calculating the lateral pressure acting on the rails of conventional railway.
