Effect of E-Service Quality of Fashion Mobile Applications on Flow, User Satisfaction, and Service Loyalty (패션 모바일 애플리케이션의 e-서비스 품질이 몰입 및 사용자 만족과 서비스 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Due to restrictions on offline activities caused by COVID-19, the use of mobile applications is increasing along with interest in online shopping, which are non-face-to-face commerce. Accordingly, mobile applications and various industries are combined, and the number of cases of using mobile applications in the fashion industry is increasing. In this study, the effect of e-service quality of fashion mobile applications on user's flow, user satisfaction, and service loyalty was examined. To conduct this study, a survey of 274 people who experienced the 'ABLY' fashion mobile application was used for analysis to verify the hypothesis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that informativity and responsiveness among the e-service quality of fashion mobile applications had a positive (+) effect on flow. And it has been confirmed that informativity, reliability, and responsiveness affect user satisfaction. In addition, flow has a positive (+) (+) effect on user satisfaction, and user satisfaction has a positive (+) effect on service loyalty. However, among the e-service quality of fashion mobile applications, reliability did not have a positive (+) effect on flow. And ease of use did not have a positive (+) effect on both flow and user satisfaction. Finally, it was confirmed that flow did not directly affect service loyalty. Through this study, we intend to contribute to the establishment of marketing strategies for fashion mobile application users, who are increasing with the development of mobile technology, and provide practical implications for the post-COVID-19 era.

  • According to the 2004 Sloan Consortium Report, distance education is the fastest growing sector of higher education. This study suggests a research model, based on an e-Learning success model, the relationship of the e-learner's self-regulated learning strategy, computer self-efficacy, and system quality perception of the e-Learning environment. As a result, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and service quality effect on e-learner's satisfaction. In addition to, self-regulated learning strategy based on computer self-efficacy is also important variable regarding e-learner's satisfaction.

  • 인터넷을 기반으로 시간과 장소에 구애 없이 학습 가능한 이러닝의 보급이 빠른 속도로 확산되고 있지만 이러닝 교육서비스의 품질을 높이기 위한 체계적인 평가와 개선은 상대적으로 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 SERVQUAL모형을 이용하여 S대학에서 개설된 E과목에 대한 이러닝 교육서비스의 품질을 평가하였다. 동일한 E과목을 100% 온라인으로 수강한 학부생 79명, 대학원생 71명을 대상으로 성별, 연령별에 따라 SERVQUAL 조사결과를 비교하였다. 성별에 따른 서비스 격차점수에는 유의한 차가 없었지만, 연령별에 따라서는 서비스 격차 점수에 유의한 차이가 존재하였다. 연력별 차이의 원인으로는 연령이 높은 대학원생들의 경우 대부분이 직장을 가지고 있는 시간제(part-time) 학생들이기 때문에 학습내용의 현업 적용성을 상대적으로 중요하게 고려하기 때문으로 생각된다.

Video Quality Control Scheme Based on Segment Throughput and Buffer Occupancy for Improving QoE in HTTP Adaptive Streaming Service (HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 서비스의 QoE 향상을 위한 세그먼트 처리량과 버퍼 점유율 기반의 비디오 품질 조절 기법)

  • Recently HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) adaptive streaming services have been the subject of much attention. The video quality control scheme of conventional HTTP adaptive streaming services estimates bandwidth using segment throughput and smooths out the sample of segment throughput. However, the conventional scheme has the problem of QoE (Quality of experience) degradation occurring with buffer underflow and frequent quality change due to the fixed number of samples. In order to solve this problem, we propose a video quality control scheme based on segment throughput and buffer occupancy. The proposed scheme determines the number of samples according to the variation of segment throughput. The proposed scheme also controls video quality based on the threshold of bitrate to keep stable buffer occupancy. The simulation results show that proposed scheme improves QoE by preventing buffer underflow and decreasing quality change when compared with the conventional scheme.

  • 본 논문에서 우리는 차세대 통합망 환경에서 제공된 IPTV 서비스를 이용하는 서비스 가입자의 품질 만족도가 저하될 경우 이와 관련된 네트워크 계층의 QoS 품질 파라미터를 제어함으로써 서비스 품질 만족도를 향상시킬 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. IPTV 서비스 이용자의 체감 품질(QoE)을 향상시키기 위해, 우리는 IPTV의 멀티미디어 서비스 품질 및 전송 계층의 품질 파라미터간 연동 제어 시스템의 세부 기능 및 동작 절차를 개발하였다. 제안된 시스템을 통해 IPTV 멀티미디어 서비스 및 네트워크 사업자들은 멀티미디어 서비스의 특성 및 네트워크 상황을 고려하여 서비스 이용자에게 향상된 품질의 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

  • Recently, the video quality control schemes for the improvement of the QoE (Quality of Experience) of video streaming services that are based on DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP), which is a standard of HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS) services, have been studied. However, the problem of the existing schemes is the degradation that is due to unnecessary quality changes because the VBR (Variable Bitrate) characteristics of the video are not considered. In this paper, we propose a SC-DASH (Segment Characteristics-based DASH) which controls the video quality based on the segment characteristics. The SC-DASH can prevent the occurrence of the unnecessary quality changes by controlling the video quality based on the size of the next segment, the segment throughput, and the buffer occupancy. The experiment results showed that the SC-DASH improves the QoE by reducing the unnecessary quality changes compared with the existing quality control schemes.

  • The recent development of IT, consolidation of communications and multimedia technology have brought enormous changes in many organizations. These changes are enabling the new educational environments such as distance learning and virtual education. Particularly e-Learning has grown rapidly in business training fields. In this regard, the primary purpose of this study is to investigate which factors of e-Learning influence education and training in business organizations through an empirical survey. The results show that most of hypotheses get significant support. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

  • HTTP adaptive streaming has recently emerged to handle the rapidly growing traffic and to provide high quality multimedia contents. To improve the QoE (Quality of Experience) for HTTP adaptive streaming service, the average video bitrate should be maximized, and the video switching frequency (difference of bitrate between adjacent segments) and video stalling events need to be minimized. The recently proposed quality adaptation algorithms for HTTP adaptive streaming do not provide high QoE, since detailed QoE factors such as video switching frequency and bitrate difference of adjacent segments, are not considered. In this paper, we propose a SQA (Smooth Quality Adaptation) algorithm to improve the user QoE. The proposed algorithm provides the smoothed QoE, such that it minimizes the unnecessary video switching events by maintaining the quality in a certain period, thus minimizing the bitrate difference of adjacent segments. Through simulation, we confirm that the proposed algorithm reduces the unnecessary switching events, and prevents the sudden decrease in video quality.

Quality Adaptation Scheme for Improving QoE of DASH-based VBR Video Streaming Service (DASH 기반 VBR 비디오 스트리밍 서비스의 QoE 향상을 위한 품질 적응 기법)

  • There are many current researches that are looking to improve the quality of HTTP adaptive streaming services. However, the existing schemes have a serious problem of QoE (Quality of Experience) degradation because few consider VBR video transmission. To cope with this problem, in this paper, we proposed a novel media quality adaptation scheme called CB-DASH (Content and Buffer-aware DASH). The proposed scheme controlled the video quality considering the VBR characteristics of video and the client's buffer state. Through the simulation, we proved that our scheme accomplished a more accurate estimated bandwidth than the conventional DASH and improved the QoE of streaming service.

  • Recently, the instances of communications between the applications and interaction applications using the Web services in the implementation of the business logics among the enterprises are spread widely. Therefore the efficient business operational models are more and more required. The usage of the services which guarantee the optimum level of service quality among the various Web services is also required. In this paper the Web services are analyzed. The required security and the service quality for the enterprises are analyzed. And then an e-Business operational model which is applicable to the enterprise business environment is proposed.
