소형탈선시뮬레이터를 이용한 1/5 축소대차의 주행안정성 시험 (A Running Stability Test of 1/5 Scaled Bogie Using Small Scale Derailment Simulator)

  • The dynamic stability of railway vehicle has been one of the important issues in railway safety. The dynamic simulator has been used in the study about the dynamic stability of railway vehicle and wheel/rail interface. Especially, a small scale simulator has been widely used in the fundamental study in the laboratory instead of full scale roller rig which is not cost effective and inconvenient to achieve diverse design parameters. But the technique for the design of the small scale simulator for the fundamental study about the dynamic characteristics of the wheel-rail system and the bogie system has not been well developed in Korea. Therefore, the research about the development of the small scale simulator and the bogie has been conducted. As this paper, To predict the dynamic behavior of railway vehicle, we studied running stability test of 1/5 scaled bogie that similarity laws is applied using small scale derailment simulator. For the operation of the small scale derailment simulator, it is required to investigate the performance and characteristics of the system. This could be achieved by a comparative study between an analysis and an experiment. This paper presented the analytical model which could be used for verifying of the test results and understanding of the physical behavior of the dynamic system comprising the small scale bogie and the simulator.

  • This paper presents the development of a fuel cell dynamic simulator using a programmable DC power supply and LabVIEW graphical user interface. The developed simulator closely describes the static and dynamic characteristics of an actual proton exchange membrance fuel cell (PEMFC). The experimental results are provided to verify the operation of the simulator. The developed simulator can be used as a convenient and economic alternative to an actual fuel cell for developing and testing a fuel cell power conditioning system.

  • POSCO has been developed a general purpose dynamic simulator of the hot strip steel mill. The simulator is a tool for developing the process control system in an industrial system solution business, by making the most use of control and simulation techniques fostered in steelmaking business. This simulator has, not only a powerful numerical analysis function, but an easy-to-use graphic user interface which readily enables to simulate dynamic system. This paper presents the features of the simulator and steel rolling process simulator as its application.

  • This paper deals with the development of a new type of simulator for the study of the dynamic performance of an HVDC scheme. The new simulator uses a digital model of the power equipment and an analogue model of the existing HVDC controller. This simulator is used to study the dynamic performance of the Cheju - Haenam HVDC system and to verify the control characteristics of the HVDC system. The paper discusses the simulator development requirements and criteria. The paper provides guidelines for the development of the simulator and presents the results of the simulation studies.

  • A vehicle driving simulator is a virtual reality device which makes a human being feel as if the one drives a vehicle actually. The driving simulator is effectively used for studying interaction of a driver-vehicle and developing the vehicle system of new concepts. The driving simulator consists of a motion platform, a motion controller, a visual and audio system, a vehicle dynamic analysis system, a vehicle operation system and etc. The vehicle dynamic analysis system supervises overall operation of the simulator and also simulates dynamic motion of a multi-body vehicle model in real-time. In this paper, the main procedures to develop the driving simulator are classified by 4 parts.   • This Paper describes the dynamic load simulator for high-speed elevator system, which can emulate 3-mass system as well as equivalent 1-mass system. In order to implement the equivalent inertia of entire elevator system the conventional simulators have generally utilized the mechanical inertia(flywheel) with large radius, which makes the entire system large and heavy. In addition, the mechanical inertia should be replaced each time in order to est another elevator system. In this paper, the dynamic load simulation methods using electrical inertia are Presented so hat the volume and weight of simulator system are greatly reduced and the adjustment of inertia value can be achieved easily by software. Experimental results show the feasibility of this simulator system.

  • Mobile air conditioning systems work under widely changing operating conditions. To understand the system behavior under such dynamic conditions, a test facility that can impose transient loads as well as conducting dynamic measurements is needed. To test mobile air conditioning systems including their dynamic performance under various drive cycle patterns without using full scale vehicles in a wind tunnel, a new test facility, called "dynamic simulator," is described. It can replicate real vehicle operating conditions by interacting with the system being tested based on the measured system performance and subsequently adjusting the air properties returning to the test system based on the results of a numerical cabin model. A new dynamic simulator has been designed, constructed, and verified for performing dynamic tests. It was successful in controlling the temperature and relative humidity of the air returning to the test unit within ${\pm}0.7^{\circ}C$ and ${\pm}4%$ of their respective intended values. The verification test under the New European Driving Cycle demonstrated that detailed transient behavior of the mobile air conditioning system could be measured by using this dynamic simulator.

  • The dynamic stability of railway vehicle has been one of the important issues in railway safety. The dynamic simulator has been used in the study about the dynamic stability of railway vehicle and wheel/rail interface. Therefore, the research about the development of the small scale simulator and the bogie has been conducted. This paper presents the design of the small-scaled derailment simulator and the example design case of a small scale bogie. The simulator could be used in the study about the effect of diverse parameters such as attack angle, wheelbase and cant on dynamic behavior of the bogie and the safety parameter such as derailment coefficient and critical speed.

  • A roller rig has been widely used in the study about dynamic stability and railway safety. However, the cost for constructing the roller rig and the difficulty in adjusting the design parameters for vehicle systems lead to the development of a small scale simulator which is cheaper than the large scale test systems and easy to control the parameters affecting dynamic characteristics of the railway vehicle. For the operation of the small scale test system called a small scale simulator, it is required to investigate the performance and characteristics of the system. This could be achieved by a comparative study between an analysis and an experiment. This paper presented the analytical model which could be used for verifying of the test results and understanding of the physical behavior of the dynamic system comprising the small scale bogie and the simulator.

  • This paper presents the implementation and control methods of a battery simulator. The proposed battery simulator can emulate the dynamic characteristics of any actual battery using the second RC ladder model of the equivalent circuit. Moreover, it can emulate the variation of impedance, which is the result of the change of battery characteristics due to the aging effect. The parameters of the battery simulator can be derived from the sequence of tests of the actual battery or only from the data supplied by the battery manufacturer. Proposed methods for the battery simulator are tested by extensive experiments. Test results show that the proposed battery simulator can emulate not only the dynamic characteristics but also the aging effects of the actual battery in real time.
