Studied on identification of nonlinear system with unknown variables and adaptive control were successful. We need a mathmatical model when control a dynamic system using adaptive control technique, but it is very difficult due to its nonlinearity. In this paper, we described about performance improvement of error back-propagation algorithm and learning algorithm of non-linear dynamic system. We examined the proposed back-propagation learn algorithm for through an experiment.

The present study has been conducted to simulate dynamics of a gas engine-driven heat pump (GHP) for the design of control algorithm. The dynamic model of a GHP was based on conservation laws of mass and energy. For the control of refrigerant pressures, actuators such as an engine throttle valve, outdoor fans, coolant three-way valves and liquid injection valves were controlled by P or PI algorithm. The simulation results were found to be realistic enough to be applied for the control algorithm design. The model could be applied to build a virtual real-time GHP system so that it interfaces with a real controller for the purpose of developing control algorithm.
This paper describes a biped walking algorithm for a hydraulic humanoid robot on inclined floors. To realize stable and robust biped walking, the walking algorithm was divided into five control strategies. The first is a joint position control strategy. This strategy is for tracking desired joint position trajectories with a gain switching. The second is a multi-model based ZMP (Zero Moment Point) control strategy for dynamic balance. The third is a walking pattern flow control strategy for smooth transition from step to step. The fourth is an ankle compliance control, which increases the dynamic stability at the moment of floor contact. The last is an upright pose control strategy for robust walking on an inclined floor. All strategies are based on simple pendulum models and include practical sensory feedback in order to implement the strategies on a physical robot. Finally, the performance of the control strategies are evaluated and verified through dynamic simulations of a hydraulic humanoid on level and inclined floors.
A new approach to compute the control moves in Extended Dynamic Matrix Control (EDMC) is presented. In this approach, the number of variables, determined in the inner loop of the control algorithm using iterative methods, is reduced from P , the prediction horizon to M , the control horizon. Since M is usually much smaller than P , this modifies the control algorithm from computational point of view. To justify the modification, the computational requirements are compared to those of the existing EDMC algorithm.
An efficient obstacle avoidance algorithm is proposed in this paper to avoid dynamic obstacles using a collision vector while a tele-operated mobile robot is moving. For the verification of the algorithm, an operator watches through a monitor and controls the mobile robot with a force-reflection joystick. The force-reflection joystick transmits a virtual force to the operator through the Inter-net, which is generated by an adaptive impedance algorithm. To keep the mobile robot safe from collisions in an uncertain environment, the adaptive impedance algorithm generates the virtual force which changes the command of the operator by pushing the operator's hand to a direction to avoid the obstacle. In the conventional virtual force algorithm, the avoidance of moving obstacles was not solved since the operator cannot recognize the environment realistically by the limited communication bandwidth and the narrow view-angle of the camera. To achieve the dynamic obstacle avoidance, the adaptive virtual force algorithm is proposed based on the collision vector that is a normal vector from the obstacle to the mobile robot. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, mobile robot navigation experiments with multiple moving obstacles have been performed, and the results are demonstrated.

This paper addresses dynamic modeling and task-space trajectory following issues for nonholonomic mobile manipulators moving on a slope. An integrated dynamic modeling method is proposed considering nonholonomic constraints and interactive motions. An adaptive neural-fuzzy controller is presented for end-effector trajectory following, which does not rely on precise apriori knowledge of dynamic parameters and can suppress bounded external disturbances. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through simulations.

In this paper, we investigate the differential game theoretic approach for distributed dynamic cooperative power control in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRANETs). First, a payoff function is defined by taking into consideration the tradeoff between the stock of accumulated power interference to the primary networks and the dynamic regulation of the transmit power of secondary users (SUs). Specifically, the payoff function not only reflects the tradeoff between the requirement for quickly finding the stable available spectrum opportunities and the need for better channel conditions, but also reveals the impact of the differentiated types of data traffic on the demand of transmission quality. Then the dynamic power control problem is modeled as a differential game model. Moreover, we convert the differential game model into a dynamic programming problem to obtain a set of optimal strategies of SUs under the condition of the grand coalition. A distributed dynamic cooperative power control algorithm is developed to dynamically adjust the transmit power of SUs under grand coalition. Finally, numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for efficient power control in CRANETs.
This paper proposes a new modeling scheme to describe the hysteresis and the dynamic characteristics of piezoelectric actuators in the inchworm and develops a control algorithm for the precision motion control. From the analysis of piezoelectric actuator behaviors, the hysteresis can be described by the functions of a maximum input voltage. The dynamic characteristics are also identified by the frequency domain modeling technique based on the experimental data. For the motion control, the hysteresis behavior is compensated by the inverse hysteresis model. The dynamic stiffness of an inchworm is generally low compared to its driving condition, so mechanical vibration may degenerate the motion accuracy of the inchworm. Therefore, the sliding mode control and the Kalman filter are developed for the precision motion control of the inch-warm. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modeling schemes and control algorithm, experiment validations are performed.
