Dyestuffs extracted from fifteen kinds of natural dyeing materials were researched on their antimicrobial performance against 3 kinds of bacteria and 2 kinds of fungi in order to develop conservation/storage materials of traditional and natural dyed papers. The three types of mordants were evaluated by using the same method and then mixed with the dyestuffs to research their antimicrobial performance. With those results, dyed paper was made by mixing mordants with 9 kinds of dyestuffs with excellent antimicrobial performance. Among the dyed papers, Cotinus coggygria, Coptis chinensis, Phellodendri amurense, Rhus javanica and Acer ginnala multiple mordant papers were found to have an antibacterial quality against fungi, while, in the insect repellent experiment using termites, Coptis chinensis and Phellodendri amurense dyed papers were found to have insect repellent qualities. Also, with regard to the research result about the affect of dyeing paper on other materials like metal, Coptis chinensis have relatively stable qualities. Also, the three types of dyeed paper by Cotinus coggygria, Coptis chinensis and Phellodendri amurense, were found to have a tendency to remove harmful gases. Not only can these dyed papers be used for making storage box for cultural properties to prevent various organic artifacts from bio-damaging, but they can also be utilized as functional finishing materials in various spaces.

This study analyzed differences between Jumchi-Hanji papers not dyed and dyed with persimmon juice (50% concentration) in five strength properties (tensile, wet tensile, tearing, bursting, and folding strengths). For the analysis, the undyed and the dyed Jumchi-Hanji papers were made by Jumchichigi during 40 minutes and made with the Dakji of different layer (a layer, two layers) and Choji method (Oebal-teugi, Ssangbal-teugi). Differences between Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with the different concentration of persimmon juice (20% vs 70%) in the five strengths were also identified. For this examination, Jumchi-Hanji papers were made with two layer Dakji (Oebal-teugi Choji method) and by Jumchichigi during 60 minutes. Jumchi-Hanji papers made in this study were used as test samples. As a result, Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with persimmon juice had higher tensile strength (CD), wet tensile strength (MD, CD), and bursting strength than those of undyed Jumchi-Hanji papers. However, tearing strengths (MD, CD) of dyed Jumchi-Hanji papers were lower than undyed Jumchi-Hanji papers. Folding strengths (CD) of dyed Jumchi-Hanji papers were low but the folding strengths (MD) of them were high compared to undyed Jumchi-Hanji papers. In addition, the concentration of persimmon juice influenced the five strength properties of Jumchi-Hanji. The tensile, wet tensile, and bursting strengths of Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 70% concentration were higher than those one of Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 30% concentration while the tearing and folding strengths of Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 70% concentration were lower than Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 30% concentration.
As a coating material for loudspeaker dampers, resilient polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resins were synthesized to replace conventional phenol resin and examined the physical properties, which are not only environmentally friendly but also not harmful to human. Five types of polyurethane resins were synthesized in the step-shot method using methylene diisocyanate, three polyols such as poly tetramethylene ether glycol(PTMEG, MW:2000), poly(1,4-buthylene adipate(PBAP, MW:2000), and poly carbonatediol(PCD, MW:2000), and three chain extenders such as ethylene glycol(EG), neopentyl glycol(NPG), and 1,4-buthandiol(1,4-BD). The five types of synthesized polyurethane resins and commercially available bisphenol A type epoxy resin were blended in weight ratios of 90:10, 70:30, and 50:50 to synthesize 15 types of polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resins. Among the polyurethane resins, the one that was synthesized using PCD and 1,4-BD showed excellent tensile strength, 100% modulus, low extension, and relatively high viscosity. Polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resins with higher epoxy resin contents showed better thermal properties and water resistance while those with higher polyurethane contents showed higher flexibility. The polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resin made by blending the polyurethane based on PCD and 1,4-BD with a bisphenol A type epoxy resin in a weight ratio of 70:30 was identified to be the most suitable to be used in speaker dampers.
This study aims to suggest the methodology for conservation of excavated costumes especially repair and restoration process. Early excavated costumes had not attracted attention from the field of academia and the public. So not many scholars, organization and society participated in the excavations but as its value has gotten more recognition, there has been a reversal in trend. And so many organizations have taken part in it. Excavating includes conservation processes such as washing, repair and restoring, and then it is published by reports or books after the process is complete. However the method of conservation has varied depending on the institution. In particular, repair and restore methods do not include anything specific details, and often times, only has descriptions of the before and after state, and so a more unified method needs to be suggested and shared. This study defined 'Conservation', 'Repair' and 'Restoration' and then applied it to the short history of Korean excavated-costumes. Then it suggested ways to repair and restore excavated-costumes in terms of construction, textile, and damage by the unpublished cases of excavated-costumes of Noh Su-ham(1516~1573)'s Family. It was also referred to repair and restoration process such as shaping correction, dyeing, supporting, sewing and after treatment by texts and pictures. Other contents such as a list of relics and its details, will be published through a report or a book. The whole process of conservation was in progress based on the ethical guidelines of conservation, 'Minimum intervention' and 'Reversibility'.
In this article, mordant absorption rate by the Change of temperature and fabric, discharge level by water washing, mordant density and method in mordant dye are going to be handled. Besides, how treatment method will have an effect on absorption rate and color, is also going to be covered. An atom extinction photometer was used to measure the amount of mordant absorbed in fabric at each temperature and mordant type. It turned out that absorption rate differs according to the type of mordant and sample or temperature. Also it turned out that the mordant input amount has little influence on absorption rate, that is to say, if though you use more mordants, just tiny amount of mordant is going to be absorbed in cloth. It is true that the higher temperature goes up, the better mordant absorption gets. It is found that the type of mordant and sample, treatment period affects the discharge rate. Normally $15{\~}98\%$ mordant comes off the fabric by water washing, to be specific, $17{\~}47\%$ Iron by water washing and it has better performance on cotton and nylon than silk, $1\%{\~}52\%$ Aluminum by water washing and better absorption on silk, $36{\~}89\%$ Chrome by water washing and better absorption on silk, $50{\~}89\%$ copper by water washing and better absorption on silk, poor on cotton. The examination of the K/S values and colors between before and after soaping has been conducted under the circumstance that the test fabrics had been treated at $80^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes with $0.2\%$ soaping solution. In case of pre-mordanted fabrics, the K/S value nosedived after soaping, meanwhile densely mordanted fabric's K/S value soared but after soaping, it dropped sharply. It turned out that soaping treatment deteriorates absorption much more than water washing. It's considered that $0.1 \%$ (W/V) of mordant density is appropriate.

Agricultural products are easily deformable its shape because of some external forces. However, these force behavior is difficult to measure quantitatively. Until now, many researches on the mechanical property was performed with various methods such as material testing, chemical analysis and non-destructive methods. In order to investigate force behavior on the cellular unit of agricultural products, electro-microscope based 3D image processing method will contribute to analysis of plant cells behavior. Before image measurement of plant cells, plant sample was cut off cross-sectioned area in a size of almost 300-400 ${\mu}$ m units using the micron thickness device, and some of preprocessing procedure was performed with fixing and dyeing. However, the wall structure of plant cell is closely neighbor each other, it is necessary to separate its boundary pixel. Therefore, image merging and shrinking algorithm was adopted to avoid disconnection. After then, boundary pixel was traced through thinning algorithm. Each image from the electro-microscope has a information of x,y position and its height along the z axis cross sectioned image plane. 3D image was constructed using the continuous image combination. Major feature was acquired from a fault image and measured area, thickness of cell wall, shape and unit cell volume. The shape of plant cell was consist of multiple facet shape. Through this measured information, it is possible to construct for structure shape of unit plant cell. This micro unit image processing techniques will contribute to the filed of agricultural mechanical property and will use to construct unit cell model of each agricultural products and information of boundary will use for finite element analysis on unit cell image.
Reactive dyes waste water, a toxic and refractory pollutant, was treated by an electrochemical method using $Ti/IrO_2$ as anode and Stainless Steel 316 as cathode. In this technique, sodium chloride as an electrolyte was added. A number of experiments were run in a batch system. Artificial samples (reactive blue 19, red 195, yellow 145) were used. Operation parameters, such as supporting electrolyte concentration, current density, pH and sample concentration have been investigated for their influences on COD and color removal efficiencies during electrolysis. After 5 and 90 minites of eletrolysis, color was reduced by 51.5% and 98.9% respectively. Under the condition of current density $10A/dm^2$, NaCl concentration 12mg/l and pH 3, 62.9% of $COD_{Cr}$ was removed after electrolysis for 90 minites. The optimum condition of color removal and COD reduction in this work was found to be the following : pH 3, sodium chloride concentration 20g/l, current density $10A/dm^2$. As a result, we confirmed to be effective to color removal and reduction of refractory organic material.
In this paper, we implement a real-time textile dimension inspection system. It can detect various types of real defects which determine the quality of fabric product, defect positions of textile, classify the distortion angel of moving textile and the density. In the implemented system, we measure the density of textile using zone-crossing method with optical lens to solve the noise and real-time problems. And we compensate distortion angel of textile with the classification of distortion types using gaussian gradient and mean gradient features. And also, it detecs real defects of textile and its positions using gray level co-occurrence matrix features. The implemented texile demension inspection systemcan inspect textile dimensions such as density, distortion angle, defect of textile and defect position at real-time. In the implemented proposed texitile dimension inspection system, It is possible to calculate density and detect default of textile at real-time dimension inspection system, it is possible to calculate density and detect default of textile at textile states throughout at all the significant working process such as dyeing, manufacturing, and other texitle processing.
The pattern cases for Korean traditional socks are named "beoseonbongip" which means a pouch to keep patterns for making "beoseon". "Beoseon" is Korean traditional socks. This study is to identify characteristics of the pattern cases and to develop cultural products based on the unique characteristics of the pattern cases. One hundred fifty one photos of "beosonbongip" were collected and quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed. Seventy percent of them were made between Joseon Dynasty and 1960s. As a result, most of the collected pattern cases are rectangular and square shapes, red color, and silk fabrics, and sizes of them are from 9cm to 15cm. A few pattern cases with different sizes and colors were also observed. Most pattern cases were made by fixing two among four triangle pieces which made by folding four tips of a rectangular or square cloth and then puting a not or a loop on the remaining triangle pieces in order to open and close the pattern cases. In a small number of the pattern cases, three of the four pieces were fixed and a button, a bead, a broach, or two nots or two loops were put on the other piece for opening and closing. Products such as apparels, bags, pouches, frames, and key holders were made using "beoseonbongip" form and construction method. This shows that "beoseonbongip" is a useful motive for creative product development.
