수직갱을 이용한 터널내 비정상 압축파의 피동제어 (Passive control of unsteady compression wave using vertical bleed ducts)

  • When a high-speed railway train enters a tunnel, a compression wave is generated ahead of the train and propagates along the tunnel, compressing and accelerating the rest air in front of the wave. At the exit of the tunnel, an impulsive wave is emitted outward toward the surrounding, which causes a positive impulsive noise like a kind of sonic boom produced by a supersonic aircraft. With the advent of high-speed train, such an impulsive noise can be large enough to cause the noise problem, unless some attempts are made to alleviate its pressure levels. For the purpose of the impulsive noise reduction, the present study investigated the effect of a vertical bleed duct on the compression wave propagating into a model tunnel. Numerical results were obtained using a Piecewise Linear Method and testified by experiment of shock tube with an open end. The results showed that the vertical bleed duct reduces the maximum pressure gradient of compression wave front by about 30 percent, compared with the straight tunnel without the bleed duct. As the width of the vertical bleed duct becomes larger, reduction of the impulsive noise is expected to be greater. However the impulsive noise is independent of the height of the vertical bleed duct.

박막형 소음기의 주파수 특성 (Frequency Characteristics of a Membrane Duct)

  • Theoretical analysis of noise reduction by a membrane-duct system is presented. When acorn waves propagate in the membrane-duct, the membrane is also excited and its motion is coup with interior medium. It has been shown that propagating waves with supersonic wave speed exist beyond a certain critical frequency that is determined from the mass ratio of the me and the fluid. Also found are subsonic waves which couple strongly wi th the membrane a provide a powerful mechanism of energy dissipation. Existence of an exterior medium alter dispersion characteristics. It provides additional mass loading and reduces the subsort speed further. The effect of mean flow speed on dispersion characteristics is also consider results show that the membrane-duct system can be applied to diminish and absorb 1 frequency noise in duct instead of passive muffler, such as a simple expansion chamber absorption material.

하이브리드 제어 알고리즘을 이용한 덕트내 능동소음제어 (Active Noise Control in a Duct System Using the Hybrid Control Algorithm)

  • This study presents the active noise control of duct noise. The duct was excited by a steady-state harmonic and white noise force and the control was performed by one control speaker attached to surface of the duct. An adaptive controller based on filtered x LMS(FXLMS) algorithm was used and controller was defined by minimizing the square of the response of the error microphone. The assemble controller, which is called a hybrid ANC(active noise control) system, was combined with feedforward and feedback controller. The feedforward ANC attenuates primary noise that is correlated with the reference signal, while the feedback ANC cancels the narrowband components of the primary noise that are not observed by the reference sensor. Furthermore, in many ANC applications, the periodic components of noise are the most intense and the feedback ANC system has the effect of reducing the spectral peaks of the primary noise, thus easing the burden of the feedforward ANC filter.

  • During the operation, fatigue failures and cracks of duct plate due to excessive duct vibration occurred in the fan-duct systems of fossil fueled boilers. We measured static pressure variation(pressure pulsation) in the outlet, and also measured vibration at the outlet duct of a centrifugal fan. It was found that strong pressure pulsation caused by the inlet vortex occurred in inlet vane of centrifugal fan in the middle range of vane opening. Thus, excessive duct vibration is caused by strong pressure pulsation. In this paper, it is shown that the frequency and amplitude of pressure pulsation depend mainly on vane opening and are compared with duct vibration. Also, effective solution for reducing pressure pulsation and vibration are presented.

  • With the improvement of standard of living, requirement for comfortable and quiet environment has been increased and, therefore, there has been a many researches for active noise reduction to overcome the limit of passive control method. In this study, active noise control is performed in a duct system using intelligent control technique which needs not decide the coefficients of high order filter and the mathematical modeling of a system. Back propagation algorithm is applied as an intelligent control technique and control system is organized to exclude the error microphone and high speed operational device which are indispensable for conventional active noise control techniques. Furthermore, learning is performed by organizing acoustic feedback model, and the effect of the proposed control technique is verified via computer simulation and experiment of active noise control in a duct system.

흡음덕트 부착 열회수형 환기장치의 음향성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A study on the acoustic performance evaluation of heat recovery ventilator with a sound absorbing duct)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 열회수형 환기장치의 음향 문제점을 파악하고, 흡음덕트 설치위치별 열회수형 환기장치의 소음저감 방안을 강구하기 위하여 관련된 국내 외 규격을 기준으로 열회수형 환기장치의 크기, 풍량 및 흡음덕트 길이를 파라미터로 한 발생소음을 측정하여 비교하고 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 무향실에서 열회수형 환기장치에 대한 소음은 흡음덕트를 설치하지 않았을 경우에 소형 및 중형 모두 풍량에 관계없이 거의 대부분 소음기준인 50 dB(A) 보다 높게 나타났고, 흡음덕트를 설치하였을 경우에는 소음도가 감소됨을 알았다. 또한, 흡음덕트의 길이에 따른 주파수 대역별 음압수준은 소형과 중형 열회수형 환기장치에서 흡음덕트의 길이가 클수록 대체적으로 감소하였고, 풍량이 클수록 대체적으로 음압수준이 증가하였다.

Duct ANC System에서 부가음원 방향별 소음감소효과 (Noise Attenuation Effect According to the Direction of Secondary Sound Source in Duct ANC System)

  • In this paper, we studied on an attenuation effect of automobile exhaust noise according to the direction of canceling speaker in ANC system. Automobile exhaust noise was recorded at 800 rpm, 3500 rpm and 5000 rpm of a diesel engine. Directions of canceling speaker can be set to $30^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$ and $150^{\circ}$ against the primary noise flow by acrylic ducts to be made for the experimentation. DSP board with TMS320C6416 chip of Texas Instrument Co. used to control the ANC system. The algorithm of this ANC system applied the Filtered-x-LMS algorithm that is modified to compensate for a property of DSP input signal and the secondary-path effect. As an experiment result, the direction of canceling speaker was proved to influence the reduction effect of noise. The $150^{\circ}$ duct in the attenuation effect of noise showed a better result than the $90^{\circ}$ or $30^{\circ}$ duct.

  • 본 논문에서는 길이가 긴 덕트를 대상으로 개발된 능동소음제어 방법이 길이가 짧은 덕트에서 적용될 수 없는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 음향 임피던스 0의 경계면에 의한 SISO(Single Input Single Output)알고리듬을 적용하였다. 하나의 마이크로폰으로 소음원의 입력과 에러 감지를 동시에 할 수 있는 SISO제어기는 TMS320E25 DSP(Digital Signal Processing)칩을 이용하여 실시간으로 구현하고 실험을 통하여 그 성능을 평가하였다. 길이가 0.80m인 짧은 덕트를 대상으로 실험한 결과 전체적으로 4.7dBA의 소음저감을 얻었다.

스마트 폼을 이용한 덕트 내부의 능동 소음 제어 (Active Noise Control in a Duct Using Smart Foam)

  • In this paper is presented passive-active noise control in a duct using a ring-type smart foam. The ring-type smart foam is comprised of a PVDF film embedded in elastic noise control foam of lining shape. The embeddedPVDF element acts as an actuator to reduce noise at lower frequencies and the foam absorbs noise at higher frequencies. By implementing an adaptive filtered-x LMS algorithm, experiments are performed to reduce both tonal and broadband noise in a duct with one end closed and the other end open.
