  • Studies have been made for the wireless sensor network protocols by a number of researchers to date. In particular, the studies as to the hierarchical protocol LEACH algorithm was concentrated. Various studies have been derived for the performance of the protocol is based on the LEACH protocol have been made. Improved algorithms have been proposed continuously. On the other hand, The performance comparison and evaluation of the improved algorithm is insufficient. Therefore, we compared the performance for the ML-LEACH (Multi Hop-Layered) and DL-LEACH (Dual Hop-Layered) been derived mainly LEACH. scalability, energy consumption, CH elected, network lifetime were selected as a Performance evaluation items.

  • The abstract should summarize the contents of the paper and written below the author information. Use th In Wide-area Wireless Sensor Networks, network lifetime is short due to energy consumption due to transmission distance. To improve this, we divide the sensor field into layers and reduce transmission distance through multi-hop transmission. However, there is a problem in that the transmission rate drops because there is no Cluster Head in the layer, or the transmission distance increases due to the layer, and energy is wasted. There are DL-LEACH and EDL-LEACH as Protocols to improve this. DL-LEACH uses either single-hop transmission or multi-hop transmission depending on the situation. As a result, the transmission distance is optimized, thereby reducing energy consumption. In case of EDL-LEACH, it is proposed to improve the data rate in DL-LEACH. It is the same as DL-LEACH, but the Cluster Head is mandatory for all layers to improve the transmission rate. Although there is no Cluster Head for each layer, the transmission rate is improved, but the network life is shortened. In this paper, we try to improve the network lifetime while maintaining the EDL-LEACH transmission rate. The shortened network lifetime is due to Cluster Head overload near the base station. To improve this, the Cluster Head distribution method is improved and the network lifetime is improved.

  • This paper presents an OFDM-based dual-hop multi-relay system with best relay selection maximizing the mutual information. For the system either with decode-and-forward (DF) relays or with amplify-and-forward (AF) relays, we derive a lower-bound on the outage probability and the diversity order achievable in frequency selective fading channels and provide the outage capacity from simulation. Performance evaluation shows that both DF and AF provide the same diversity order as in the lower-bound but DF of which the outage probability is much closer to the lower-bound provides a better outage capacity than AF. It is also observed that the SNR gain of DF over AF gets larger as either the number of resolvable multipaths or the number of relay candidates increases, which makes DF relaying more favorable to the OFDM-based multi-relay system.

  • In this paper, we derive the probability density function (PDF) of end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for t he dual-hop MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) DCF (Decouple-and-Forward) system. We also provide the end-to-end bit error ratio (BER) with M-ary PSK constellations for four antenna combinations. These are (1,8,1), (8,1,8), (2,4,2), and (4,2,4). Each number in the parentheses is the number of the transmit antenna at the source, the transmit and receive antenna at the relay and the receive antenna at the destination, respectively. We show t hat the end-to-end BER expression with M-ary PSK constellations makes an exact match with numerical results. We also show that MIMO DCF relay system achieves spatial diversity.

  • This paper addresses the design of trTCM (Two Rate Three Color Marker) described in RFC2698. It has proposed for trTCM to be used in Differentiated Service network that provides AF PHB (Assured Forwarding Per Hop Behavior). trTCM is the marker with the metering function, and consists of the token updating function and the marking function. The token updating function uses the dual token bucket. The marking function compares the token values with the length of input packet and then marks the result into IP QoS field (ToS field). In this paper, we design trTCM function and then addresses the scheme to implement it using FPGA technology.

  • In many wireless sensor network (WSN) applications, the information transmitted by an individual entity or node is of limited use without the knowledge of its location. Research in node localization is mostly geared towards multi-hop range-free localization algorithms to achieve accuracy by minimizing localization errors between the node's actual and estimated position. The existing localization algorithms are focused on improving localization accuracy without considering efficiency in terms of energy costs and algorithm convergence time. In this work, we show that our proposed localization scheme, called DV-maxHop, can achieve good accuracy and efficiency. We formulate the multi-objective optimization functions to minimize localization errors as well as the number of transmission during localization phase. We evaluate the performance of our scheme using extensive simulation on several anisotropic and isotropic topologies. Our scheme can achieve dual objective of accuracy and efficiency for various scenarios. Furthermore, the recently proposed algorithms require random uniform distribution of anchors. We also utilized our proposed scheme to compare and study some practical anchor distribution schemes.

It has proposed for srTCM to be used at the ingress of Differentiated Service network that provides AF PHB (Assured Forwarding Per Hop Behavior). srTCM is the marker with the metering function, and consists of the token updating function and the marking function. The token updating function uses the dual token bucket. The marking function compares the token values with the length of input packet, and then marks the result into IP QoS field (ToS field). • Considering a dual-hop energy-harvesting (EH) relaying system, this paper advocates novel relaying protocols based on adaptive time power switching-based relaying (AR) architecture for amplify-and-forward (AF) mode. We introduce novel system model relaying network with impacts of co-channel interference (CCI) and derive analytical expressions for the average harvested energy, outage probability, and the optimal throughput of the information transmission link, taking into account the effect of CCI from neighbor cellular users. In particular, we consider such neighbor users procedure CCI both on the relay and destination nodes. Theoretical results show that, in comparison with the conventional solutions, the proposed model can achieve optimal throughput efficiency for sufficiently small threshold SNR with condition of reasonable controlling time switching fractions and power splitting fractions in concerned AR protocol. We also explore impacts of transmission distances in each hop, transmission rate, the other key parameters of AR to throughput performance for different channel models. Simulation results are presented to corroborate the proposed methodology.

  • With the Development of Wireless Network Technology and Wireless Link Technology, Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is Attracting Attention as a Key Technology to Construct the Wireless Transit Network. The WMN has been Studied for a Long Time in Various Fields, however there are still many Problems that have not been solved yet. One of them is the Routing Problem to find an Optimal path in a Multi-hop Network Composed of Wireless Links. In the Hybrid-WMN, which is one of the Three Types of WMN, Optimal Path Selection Requires Research on Path Search Protocols that Effectively use the Infrastructure Mesh as a Transit Network, Together with Research for a Routing Metric with Excellent Performance. Therefore, this Paper Proposes a Dual Mode-AODV(Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector) for Hybrid-WMN. Simulation result shows that the Path Selection Delay was Reduced by 52% than AODV when the Proposed Dual Mode-AODV was applied.
