고밀도 광학헤드를 위한 Bimorph 압전 액추에이터의 동특성 해석 및 위치제어 (Dynamic Characteristic Analysis and Position Control for High Density Optical Head Using Bimorph PZT)

  • This paper proposed a dual actuator using Bimorph PZT for information storage device based on prove array NSOM(near-field scanning optical microscopy). The gap between the media and the optical head should be maintained within the optical tolerance. Therefore, a new actuator having high sensitivity is required. Bimorph PZT, which has fast access time and high sensitivity characteristic, is suitable for this precise actuating system. This paper is focused on derivation of mathematical model of dual Bimorph PZT actuator and control algorithm. Hamilton's principle was used for mathematical model. The model is verified by FEA(finite element analysis), and compared with experimental results. Different control algorithms were used for two Bimorph PZT actuating same direction and opposite direction. The gap between recording media and optical head was controlled within 20nm in experiment.

급속여과공정에서의 여과보조제 사용에 따른 여과특성 (Characteristics of High-Rate Filtration with Filtration Aids)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of filter aids in the dual-media rapid filtration. Paper-filter tests were conducted to determine the proper dosages of coagulant and filter aid, and pilot plant tests using two dual-media filter columns were performed for a variety of filtration rates. Using a filter aid (non-ionic polymer), the maximum feasible filtration rate is 480m/day, while turbidity is less than 0.3 NTU and filter run-time is about 70 hours. It is possible to increase the filtration rate up to 360 m/day for keeping the turbidity less than 0.1 NTU. Turbidity increases for the filtration rate greater than 360m/day. In general, the quality of filtered water with a filter aid is stable, while the filter maintains a sufficient filter run-time for a maximum allowable head loss. Particularly, the initial breakthrough can be effectively controlled. The use of a filter aid may be one of the methods applicable if the turbidity of filtered water is required to be improved or if the filter breakthrough limits filter run-time.

하수처리장 방류수를 이용한 인공함양 가능성 평가

  • The main purpose of this research is to find suitable treatment methods of wastewater effluent for artificial recharge. For this purpose, we search the effluent quality of wastewater treatment plant and possibility of additional filtration process. Particles ranged 2 ~ 5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 15~20 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in "T" WWTP(Waste Water Treatment Plant) effluent were relatively dominant. In dual-media filtration system operation, head-loss development of column 1 was about two times faster than column 2, and head-loss development within 5 cm from surface was very important factor in operation, Conclusively, for the stable filtration and running time of 1.5~2 day, influent turbidity must keep 5 NTU or below, and filtration system must operated at 280 m/day or below. After filtration of WWTP effluent, water quality reached satisfactory level. This water has potential of agricultural reusing, flushing water in building, recharging water to river or stream at dry season and artificial recharge of ground water.und water.

여과재(濾過材)의 종류(種類)에 따른 최소유동상(最小流動狀) 속도(速度) 및 팽창(膨脹)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Minimum Fluidization Velocity and Expansion of Various Media)

  • Backwashing is one of the most important processes in water treatment. Several models have been utilized to predict minimum fluidization velocity and expansion of media. However, it is not unusual that the actual bahavior of media dose not agree well with the prediction. This study has investigated the applicability of models in predicting the minimum fluidization velocity of sand media. However even the better model has predicted minimum fluidization velocity 1.1 to 1.8 times higher than actual fluidization velocity. The expansion rate of sand media was inspected. It is found that the actual expansion rate was greater than the predicted. In this study condition, use of $d_{10}$ instead of $d_{60}$ was better to predict the expansion of media. On the contrary to the sand media, the actual expansion of anthracite media was less than that predicted. Sometimes it is reported that the dual media has been overflown during backwashing and mixed severely at the interface. It is because the grain size distribution of anthracite has not been selected properly. The numerical values for media expansion found in this study could be referred as the useful data in operating and/or designing filter media.

  • VARTM공정에서는 수지유동을 빠르게 하기 위해 투과촉진층이 사용되는데 투과촉진층과 섬유층 사이의 수지 속도차가 크다. VARTM제품은 길이에 비해서 두께가 얇으나 두 가지 다른 유통 매질 사이에 발생하는 lead-lag 유통을 관찰하기 위해서는 두께 방향을 고려한 3차원해석이 요구된다. 그런데 3차원 해석에 있어서 계산 시간이 문제가 된다. 일반 PC로 절점수가 많은 3차원 문제를 해석하려면 오랜 시간이 소요되므로 비실용적이다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 dual-scale 기법을 도입하여 전체 영역은 2.5차원으로 해석하고 주요한 관심 영역만을 3차원으로 해석하였다. 2.5차원 시뮬레이션만으로 예측하기 어려운 lead-lag 유동과 같은 특이한 유동 경향을 국부적인 3차인 해석을 통해서 발견학 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 global-local 해석기술은 일반 PC에서 적당한 계산 시간 내에 균일하지 않은 유동 매질 사이를 지나는 유동흐름의 특성 분석에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있다.

  • A light field (LF) is a field for expressing the intensity and direction of light reflected from a subject in a 3D space. Dual LF cameras are equipped in smart phones in Korea, mainly those by Samsung and LG. Lytro, Apple, Nvidia, MIT Media Lab, Magic Lip, and NHK are also developing LF camera technologies. LF displays are being researched by ETRI, Samsung Electronics, KIST, KAIST, SNU, MIT Media Lab, USC, HP, Apple, Microsoft, SeeReal, Musion Eyeliner, Dimenco, and Holografika.

A novel of rotating nonlocal thermoelastic half-space with temperature-dependent properties and inclined load using the dual model

  • Eringen's nonlocal thermoelasticity theory is used to study wave propagations in a rotating two-temperature thermoelastic half-space with temperature-dependent properties. Using suitable non-dimensional variables, the harmonic wave analysis is used to convert the partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations solving the problem. The modulus of elasticity is given as a linear function of the reference temperature. MATLAB software is used for numerical calculations. Comparisons are carried out with the results in the context of the dual-phase lag model for different values of rotation, a nonlocal parameter, an inclined load, and an empirical material constant. The distributions of physical fields showed that the nonlocal parameter, rotation, and inclined load have great effects. When a nonlocal thermoelastic media is swapped out for a thermoelastic one, this approach still holds true.

A column study of effect of filter media on the performance of sand filter

  • Sand filter is a key unit process for particle removal in water purification treatments. Its long-standing use is due to on-site customized retrofit. Proper selection of filter media is one of the retrofit approaches to improve filter performance. This study described a series of controlled laboratory column tests and examined the effects of media property on filtration and backwash. When sand media of 0.51 mm in effective size was replaced by sand of 0.60 mm, the filter run increased up to 5 times in the given bed depth. The change of media property required an increase of backwash rate by 0.05 m/min to satisfy the requirement of bed expansion, more than 20%. When the anthracite was changed with lower effective size and uniformity coefficient, correlation with sand in the filter bed could be satisfied within the permissible error between media and bulk characteristics. Besides, this selection resulted in a well-stratified configuration of media layers after bed expansion. The column study showed that the correlation of property between the dual media had a significant effect on the filter productivity and backwash interval.

마블 코믹스와 마블 시네마틱유니버스에서 나타나는 재매개 현상에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Remediation phenomenon in Marvel Comics and Marvel Cinematic Universe)

  • 본 연구는 인쇄매체가 영상매체로 재매개 되면서 콘텐츠가 변화되는 과정을 분석한다. 미디어를 통해 콘텐츠가 생산되고, 기존의 콘텐츠가 새로운 미디어에 흡수되면서 변화하는 과정을 관찰하여 재매개된 미디어의 특성을 파악한다. 재매개의 이중논리를 적용하여, 인쇄매체가 영상매체로 재매개되는 과정을 분석하고, 그 결과를 통해 매체의 변화와 변용을 이용한 재매개 방식이 디자인에 방법론에 적용될 수 있다는 가능성을 제시한다. 마블 코믹스는 마블 시네마틱 유니버스로 재매개 되었다. 아날로그 미디어가 새로운 미디어로 재매개되는 현상을 이해함으로써, 디자이너가 디자인을 할 때 재매개의 특성을 이용하여 결과물을 도출 할 수 있도록 디자인 방법론을 제시할 수 있다. 매체가 발달함에 따라 디자인의 범주도 넓어지고 있다. 본 연구를 통해 재매개를 이용한 디자인 방법론 제시되길 기대해 본다.

  • Due to advances in electronics very high quality audio reproduction is today possible. But the listening environment causes deviation of the audio system from the expected behavior. Firstly the listening Room significantly changes the audio signal frequencies and their phase. Secondly the position of the user in the room affects the perceived sound. With existing DSP technology it is possible to adequately correct these effects. In our work we developed a room correction system, correcting up to 7.1 channels using dual Motorola 56367 fixed point DSP's, implementing position dependent room effects measurement, real time compensation filter design and equalization filtering procedures.
