  • In this paper, parallel input/serial output dual converter is designed appropriately for fuel cell hybrid power system. In case of proposed converter, zero voltage switching condition is designed without additional resonance device using leakage inductance of transformer and output capacitance of switch, and zero voltage switching method is used. Also, the system method is for increasing power by connecting half-bridge in parallel and increasing output voltage by connecting secondary output of transformer in serial. Through this method we can increase power and decrease volume of system. So in this paper, dual converter is designed. 1.5kW fuel cell hybrid power system was implemented, and system operation and stability was verified through experiment.

  • In order to achieve high capacity and reliable link quality in user communication, this paper proposes a new concept of virtual cell: the Dual Virtual Cell(DVC), and DVC employment strategy based on DWCS. The proposed system uses two kinds of virtual cell. One is the AVC(Active Virtual Cell) which exists for actual traffic and the other is the CVC(Candidate Virtual Cell) which contains a set of candidate antennas to protect user's link quality from performance degradation or interruption. And also this system aims to reduce MT's overloads and acheive a prompt link change successfuly by introducing DVC structure which makes it possible for network to monitor real-time channel and to conrol communication links. The proposed system constructs DVC by using antenna selection method and improves frame error performance with employing Space-Time Trellis Code(STTC).

RadioCycle: Deep Dual Learning based Radio Map Estimation

  • The estimation of radio map (RM) is a fundamental and critical task for the network planning and optimization performance of mobile communication. In this paper, a RM estimation method is proposed based on a deep dual learning structure. This method can simultaneously and accurately reconstruct the urban building map (UBM) and estimate the RM of the whole cell by only part of the measured reference signal receiving power (RSRP). Our proposed method implements UBM reconstruction task and RM estimation task by constructing a dual U-Net-based structure, which is named RadioCycle. RadioCycle jointly trains two symmetric generators of the dual structure. Further, to solve the problem of interference negative transfer in generators trained jointly for two different tasks, RadioCycle introduces a dynamic weighted averaging method to dynamically balance the learning rate of these two generators in the joint training. Eventually, the experiments demonstrate that on the UBM reconstruction task, RadioCycle achieves an F1 score of 0.950, and on the RM estimation task, RadioCycle achieves a root mean square error of 0.069. Therefore, RadioCycle can estimate both the RM and the UBM in a cell with measured RSRP for only 20% of the whole cell.

분산 무선 통신시스템 기반의 Dual Virtual Cell 시스템의 제안 및 성능분석 (A study on the Newly Proposed Dual Virtual Cell System in Distributed Wireless Communication System)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상 셀(Virtual Cell)이라는 새로운 개념을 도입하여 사용자의 움직임에 따라 셀(Cell)이 동적으로 바뀌어서 핸드오프의 문제가 없으며, 사용자 간, 셀 간에 야기되는 간섭을 모니터링 할 수 있고 또한 상호 간섭을 최소화하도록 제어할 수 있어서 기존 셀룰라 시스템이 안고 있는 간섭 문제를 효과적으로 극복할 수 있는 분산무선통신시스템에 관하여 소개한다. 그리고 이러한 분산무선시스템을 기반으로 하여 사용자 통신의 링크 품질을 지속적으로 유지하면서 용량을 향상시키고자 하는 Dual Virtual Cell(DVC) 개념과 운용 방안을 제안하였다. DVC 시스템은 단말의 실제 트래픽을 위한 Active Virtual Cell 외에, 사용자 통신의 다음 시점의 도달 범위 예측과 사용자 무선링크의 품질저하 및 단절을 방지하기 위한 후보군의 분산안테나들의 집합인 Candidate Virtual Cell을 도입하여 이러한 이중구조의 가상 셀을 동시에 관리함으로써, 채널정보 획득에 대한 단말의 부담을 줄이고 채널추정정보에 대한 시간지연과 단말의 이동으로 인한 무선링크 단절 및 품질 저하를 방지하며 신속한 통신채널 변경을 지원할 수 있다. 제안하는 시스템에서는 DVC의 안테나 구성을 위하여 안테나 선택기법을 이용하고 있으며, 시스템 오차 확률 개선을 위하여 Space-Time Trellis Code를 도입하였다.

A study of Polarization Modulator to Single-cell type in Polarized Glasses 3D Display System Using Binocular Parallax

  • 현재 상용화된 대부분의 3D 디스플레이는 왼쪽 눈과 오른쪽 눈의 입력영상을 다르게 만들어 입체감을 만드는 양안시차 방식을 적용하고 있다. 하지만 상용화된 3D 영상 출력 장치는 성능 부족에 의한 시청자의 불편 유발과 시청위치의 제약 등의 문제들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 Dual-cell 구조 대비 시야각, Crosstalk 감소, 광투과도를 향상할 수 있는 Single-cell 구조의 편광안경식 입체영상 시스템을 개발하고, 투과도 실험과 시야각 평가를 통해 Single-cell 구조의 편광안경식 입체영상 시스템 특성분석과 Dual-cell 구조 대비 성능향상 효과 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과 Single-cell 구조가 Dual-cell 구조 대비 투과도 부분에서 약 25% 이상의 높은 성능을 보이며, 시야각 평가 중 입체 영상 특성품질의 주요지표인 3D crosstalk 지표는 약 37% 이상 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Fabrication of a Dual-Gap Substrate Using the Replica-molding Technique for Transflective Liquid Crystal Displays

  • A replica-molding method of fabricating a dual-gap substrate for transflective liquid crystal (LC) displays is demonstrated. The dual-gap substrate provides homeotropic alignment for the LC molecules without any surface treatment and embedded bilevel microstructure on one of the two surfaces to maintain different cell gaps between the transmissive and reflective subpixels. The proposed transflective LC cell shows no electro-optic disparity between two subpixels and reduces the panel thickness and weight by 30% compared to the conventional transflective LC cell, which has two glass substrates.

복수의 양팔로봇을 적용한 휴대폰 셀 생산시스템의 자동화 (Automation of Cell Production System for Cellular Phones based on Multi-dual-arm Robots)

  • Demands for automation in the cell production process of IT products are becoming increasingly sophisticated. In particular, the dual-arm robot has drawn attention as a solution because it has a flexibility and works similarly to humans. In this paper, we propose an automation system for cellular phone packing processes using two dual-arm robots. Applied robots are designed with specifications to meet the requirements of cellular phone packing jobs. In addition, a robotic cell production system is proposed by applying a method of task allocation for efficient packing of cellular phones. Specifically, a task is assigned to reduce takt-time and to avoid collision between two robots. Finally, we discuss some experimental results that include the packing job of five unit boxes with seven kinds of accessories.

  • 본 논문에서는 나머지 주파수 옵셋이 (residuaI frequency offset: RFO) 존재하는 대역 확산 시스템의 부호 획득을 위해 듀얼셀 결합 (dual-cell combining: DCC) 검파 기법을 제안한다. RFO가 존채할 때, 부호 획득 과정 동안 검파에 사용되는 상관 첨두는 작은 진폭을 갖는 두 개의 주변 첨두로 나눠지게 되며, 이로 인해 부호 획득 성능이 하락하게 된다. DCC 겹파 기법은 두 개의 연속된 상판값을 결합하여 결정 변수로 사용함으로써 RFO가 상관 첨두에 미치는 영향을 완화시킬 수 있다. 또한, 성능 평가를 통해 DCC 검파 기법이 한 개의 상관값을 결정 변수로 사용하는 이제까지의 검파 기법에 비해 더 나은 평균 동기화 시간 성능을 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

Cathodic Recirculation System Using a Dual-ejector to Improve Oxygen Utilization of a Submarine Fuel Cell

  • In terms of the system efficiency, it is very useful to apply the ejector into the fuel recirculation system of a fuel cell system since the ejector needs no parasitic power to operate. Since the conventional automotive fuel cell use hydrogen and air as their fuel, the only hydrogen is needed to be recirculated for the better fuel efficiency. On the other hand, the submarine fuel cell needs both hydrogen and oxygen recirculation systems because the submarine drives under the sea. In particular, the cathodic recirculation has to meet the tougher target since the oxygen based pressurized stack generally used in the submarine applications generates the significant amount of the water in the stack during the operation. Namely, the oxygen utilization has designed less than 50% in the whole operating range for the better exhausting of the generated waters. And thereby in terms of the oxygen utilization, the entrainment ratio of the ejector should be more than 1 within the whole operating range. However, the conventional ejector using a constant nozzle can not afford to satisfy the mentioned critical requirement. To overcome the problem, the dual-ejector and its control strategy are designed. The performance of the proposed dual-ejector is verified by the experiments based on the real operating conditions of the target submarine system. Furthermore, the proposed design method can be used for the other fuel recirculation system of a large-scale fuel cell system with the critical requirement of the fuel utilization.

이중시간적분법을 이용한 순차적 유동해석 기법 (DELTA-FORMULATION OF A SEGREGATED NAVIER-STOKES SOLVER WITH A DUAL-TIME INTEGRATION)

  • The delta-formulation of the Navier-Stokes equations has been popularly used in the aerodynamics area. Implicit algorithm can be easily implemented in that by using Taylor series expansion. This formulation is extended for an unsteady analysis by using a dual-time integration. In the meanwhile, the incompressible flows with heat transfers which occur in the area of thermo-hydraulics have been solved by a segregated algorithm such as the SIMPLE method, where each equation is discretised by using an under-relaxed deferred correction method and solved sequentially. In this study, the dual-time delta formulation is implemented in the segregated Navier-Stokes solver which is based on the collocated cell-centerd scheme with un unstructured mesh FVM. The pressure correction equation is derived by the SIMPLE method. From this study, it was found that the Euler dual-time method in the delta formulation can be combined with the SIMPLE method.
