마이크로파 가열에 의한 토양 유기오염물질 탈착특성 (Desorption Characteristics of Volatile Organics Compounds in Soil by Microwave Heating)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the removal efficiency of volitile organic compounds in soil, and the mechanism of desorption by bench scale microwave heating, Silt soil used for experiment and was impregnated with toluene, tetrachloroethylene, o-xylene and p-dichlorobenzene and the microwave treatment was conducted in a modified domestic microwave oven : 2450MHz, 700W. According to the results of the research the removal efficiency was improved with increasing water contents and the soil temperature appeared to plateau period extending to 2-3minutes corresponds to the temperature a which steam distillation was expected. The value of removal rate constant (k) were calculated on dry and moisty silt soil, respectively, which showed linear with increasing microwave heating time. Therefore, addition of a certain amount of water to the contaminated soil can efficiently enhance the ability of the soil to absorb microwave energy and promote the evaporation of the volitile contaminants.

  • Glass in the ZrO2-SiO2 system containing up to 30mol% ZrO2 were prepared by heating the gel made from the mixed solutions of Zr(OC3H7)4 and partial hydrolysed Si(OC2H5)4. As a result, the monolith gel was made from the HCl and water content as 2.7$\times$10-3 and 8 molar ratio to alkoxide and drying temoperature as 4$0^{\circ}C$. Heating rate of dry gel maintained under 0.5$^{\circ}C$/min and heating at a temperature as 90$0^{\circ}C$ was found to be for making the transparent glass.

The Dry-aging and Heating Effects on Protein Characteristics of Beef Longissiumus Dorsi

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dry-aging (DA) and the cooking process on the myofibril protein functionalities and in vitro digestibility of proteins in beef loin. Six sirloins from beef were dry-aged for 28 d, and the control group (n=6) was analyzed 2 d postmortem for this study. Dimensional changes (reduction of thickness and surface shrinkage) after cooking were significantly greater in the control group than the DA group, whereas the shear force of the DA group was significantly lower than that of the control. Effect of cooking on aggregation, hydrophobicity, and in vitro digestibility were significantly higher in the DA group than in the control. After cooking, the protein in DA sirloins was more oxidized than in the control samples. According to the sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis result, the low molecular weight bands (below 17 kDa) increased in the DA group, finding that the protein characteristics of dry-aged beef was affected by cooking.

  • The present study investigated the effects of dry and moist heat treatments on total phenols, total anthocyanins, and antioxidant activity levels in black chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) fruits. Lyophilized chokeberry powder samples were heated in a drying oven at 60, 100, 160, 180, and 200℃ for 20, 40, or 60 min. Finely ground fresh chokeberry fruits were heated in water at 60, 80, and 100℃ for 20 min, and bioactive compound and antioxidant activity levels were measured. The bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity decreased with increasing temperature and treatment duration. Antioxidant activity was preserved at 160℃ or lower without significant loss for dry heating, whereas moist heat treatment increased both bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity with increasing temperature.

  • 배연탈황석고 및 인산부산석고에 함유된 부착수분을 마이크로파에 의한 직접 내부 가열 방법으로 증발시켜 건조하고자 하였다. 700 W, 1,000 W, 1,700 W의 출력인 마그네트론에서 발생된 2.45 GHz의 마이크로파로 배연탈황석고와 인산부산석고를 가열한 결과, 마이크로파 출력의 세기를 700 W에서 1,700 W로 높임에 따라 부착수의 증발시간이 10분에서 3분으로 단축되었고, 이수석고는 베타형 반수석고로 변질되었다. 그러나 베타형 반수석고는 무수석고로 변질되지 않았다.

  • 마이크로웨이브 가열 SVE(토양증기추출)공정을 사용하여 경유로 오염된 건조 및 습윤토양에서의 경유와 경유계 탄화수소($C_10$$C_22$)의 제거현상 분석 실험을 수행하였다. 마이크로웨이브 가열방식이 있는 건조토양과 습윤토양에서의 제거속도는 마이크로웨이브 가열방식이 없는 토양에 비해 건조토양에서는 7배, 습윤토양에서는 1580배 높았다. 이것은 수분입자의 높은 유전율 때문으로 토양 내부에 마이크로웨이브 에너지를 빠르게 흡수시킴으로써 급격한 토양온도 증가와 증기화의 속도를 가속화시켜 경유제거의 시너지 효과를 가져왔기 때문으로 여겨진다. 마이크로웨이브 가열이 없는 SVE 공정의 건조토양과 습윤토양에서는 $C_10$$C_12$의 제거율이 67.7∼78.4%로 경유제거의 대부분을 차지하였고 $C_14$보다 무거운 탄화수소는 0∼18.5%의 낮은 제거율을 보였다. 반면에, 마이크로웨이브 가열 SVE공정의 건조토양에서는 $C_10$$C_12$가 89.3∼99.4%의 높은 비율로 제거되었으며, $C_14$보다 무거운 탄화수소도 35.6∼67.0%로 상당량 제거되었다. 한편, 마이크로웨이브 가열 SVE 공정의 습윤토양에서는 모든 탄화수소($C_10$$C_22$)가 93.6∼99.8% 제거되었다.

바이오매스 자원 잠재량 산정 (Estimation of Biomass Resources Potential)

  • Biomass has been used for energy sources from the prehistoric age. Biomass are converted into solid, liquid or gaseous fuels and are used for heating, electricity generation or for transportation recently. Solid biofuels such as bio-chips or bio-pellet are used for heating or electricity generation. Liquid biofuels such as biodiesel and bioethanol from sugars or lignocellulosics are well known renewable transportation fuels. biogas produced from organic waste are also used for heating, generation and vehicles. Biomass resources for the production of above mentioned biofuels are classified under following 4 categories, such as forest biomass, agricultural residue biomass, livestock manure and municipal organic wastes. The energy potential of those biomass resources existing in Korea are estimated. The energy potential for dry biomass (forest, agricultural, municipal waste) were estimated from their heating value contained, whereas energy potential of wet biomass (livestock manure, food waste, waste sludge) is calculated from the biological methane potential of them on annual basis. Biomass resources potential of those 4 categories in Korea are estimated to be as follows. Forest biomass 355.602 million TOE, agricultural biomass 4.019 million TOE, livestock manure biomass 1.455 million TOE, and municipal organic waste 1.074 million TOE are available for biofuels production annually.

열처리 온도가 옥수수 전분의 리올로지에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Heating Temperature on the Rheological Properties of Com Starch)

  • 옥수수 전분(초기 수분함량 11.4%)을 $130{\sim}220^{\circ}C$에서 건열처리하여 DSC로 열분석한 결과 $190^{\circ}C$이상에서 호화엔탈피는 감소하였고 알칼리호화시 열처리온도가 상승할수록 점도가 증가하였다. $170^{\circ}C$이상에서 열처리 온도가 높아질수록 원료전분에 비하여 최고점도를 포함한 아밀로그램상의 모든 값들, 전분호화액의 전단응력과 겉보기점도, 점조도지수 및 항복응력은 감소하였다. $90^{\circ}C$에서 호화진행에 따라 모든 시료들의 겉보기 점도와 항복응력은 상당히 증가하였으며 $190^{\circ}C$시료는 특히 초기에 급증하였으나, 점조도지수는 약간 증가한 반면에, 유동거동지수값들은 큰 차이를 보이지않았다. 그러나 $220^{\circ}C$의 경우 모든 값들이 다른 시료들에 비하여 크게 낮았다.
