The purpose of this work is to Investigate the pressure drop and the heat transfer characteristics in the channel of plate heat exchanger with crossed-discrete ribs. The flow is assumed to be three-dimensional, laminar and periodically fully developed. Computations have been carried out for angles of attack from $0^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$ and ratios of rib height from 0.15 to 0.46 for various values of Reynolds and Prandtl numbers. The heat transfer was improved by inclined ribs generating helical vortices and secondary flows. The results show that the pressure drop has a maximum value at $70^{\circ}$ and the heat transfer has a maximum value at $45^{\circ}$. As the rib height increases, the pressure drop and the heat transfer increase quadratically, and the increasing rate of pressure drop is higher than that of the heat transfer. As Reynolds number increases, the pressure drop increases in proportion to the square of Reynolds number and the heat transfer increases linearly.
The present study investigates the convective heat/mass transfer characteristics and pressure drop inside the rib-roughened cooling passage of gas turbine blades. The internal cooling passage is simulated using a square duct with h- and V-shaped rectangular ribs which have a 60。attack angle. A naphthalene sublimation technique is employed to determine the detailed local heat/mass transfer coefficients using the heat and mass transfer analogy. The ribs disturb the main flow resulting in the recirculation and secondary flows near the ribbed wail. The secondary flow patterns and the local heat transfer in the duct are changed significantly according to the rib orientation. A square duct with ∧ - and V-shaped ribs have two pairs of secondary flow due to the rib arrangement. Therefore, the average heat/mass transfer coefficients and pressure drop of ∧ - and V-shaped ribs are higher than those of the continuous ribs with 90$^{\circ}$ and 60$^{\circ}$attack angles. The ∧-shaped ribs have higher heat/mass transfer coefficients than the V-shaped ribs, and the uniformity of heat/mass transfer coefficient are increased with the discrete ribs due to the flow leakage and acceleration near the surface.

Multicast communication has been widely used in the Internet. However, multicast communication is vulnerable to DoS attack due to static router configuration. In this paper, HMC, a hopping multicast communication method based on SDN, is proposed to tackle this problem. HMC changes the multicast tree periodically and makes it difficult for the attackers to launch an accurate attack. It also decreases the probability of multicast communication being attacked by DoS and in the meanwhile, the QoS constrains are not violated. In this research, the routing problem of HMC is proven to be NP-complete and a heuristic algorithm is proposed to solve it. Experiments show that HMC has the ability to resist DoS attack on multicast route effectively. Theoretically, the multicast compromised probability can drop more than 0.6 when HMC is adopt. In addition, experiments demonstrate that HMC achieves shorter average multicast delay and better robustness compared with traditional method, and more importantly, it better defends DoS attack.
The present study investigates convective heat/mass transfer and flow characteristics inside the rib-roughened cooling passage of the gas turbine blades. A square duct with rectangular ribs is used and $\wedge-$ and V-shape ribs with $60^{\circ}$ attack angle are installed on the test plate surfaces. Naphthalene sublimation technique is employed to determine the detailed local heat transfer coefficients using the heat and mass transfer analogy. The ribs disturb the main flow resulting in the recirculation and secondary flows near the ribbed wall and the vortices near the side-wall. The local heat transfer and the secondary flow in the duct are changed largely according to the rib orientation. A square duct with $\wedge$ and V-shape ribs has two pairs of secondary flow because of the rib arrangement. So, the duct has complex heat/mass transfer distribution. The average heat/mass transfer coefficient and pressure drop of $\wedge-$ and V-shape ribs are higher than those with $90^{\circ}$ and $60^{\circ}$ attack angles. The average heat/mass transfer coefficient on the $\wedge-shape$ ribs is higher than that on the V-shape ribs. Also, the uniformity of heat/mass transfer coefficient on discrete ribs is higher than that on continuous rib.
Multicast communication of mobile ad hoc networks is vulnerable to internal attacks due to its routing structure and high scalability of its participants. Though existing intrusion detection systems (IDSs) act smartly to defend against attack strategies, adversaries also accordingly update their attacking plans intelligently so as to intervene in successful defending schemes. In our work, we present a novel indirect internal stealthy attack on a tree-based multicast routing protocol. Such an indirect stealthy attack intelligently makes neighbor nodes drop their routing-layer unicast control packets instead of processing or forwarding them. The adversary targets the collision avoidance mechanism of the Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol to indirectly affect the routing layer process. Simulation results show the success of this attacking strategy over the existing "stealthy attack in wireless ad hoc networks: detection and countermeasure (SADEC)" detection system. We design a cross-layer automata-based stealthy attack on multicast routing protocols (SAMRP) attacker detection system to identify and isolate the proposed attacker. NS-2 simulation and analytical results show the efficient performance, against an indirect internal stealthy attack, of SAMRP over the existing SADEC and BLM attacker detection systems.
The present study investigates convective heat/mass transfer and flow characteristics inside the cooling passage of the gas-turbine blades. It is important to increase not only the heat transfer rates but also the uniformity of heat transfer in the cooling passage. The square duct has compound-angled ribs with $60^{\circ},\;70^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$ attack angles, which are installed on the test plate surfaces. a naphthalene sublimation technique is employed to determine the detailed local heat transfer coefficients using the heat and mass transfer analogy. The ribs disturb the main flow resulting in the recirculation and secondary flows near the ribbed wall and the vertices near the side-wall. The local heat transfer and the secondary flow in the duct are changed largely according to the rib orientation. Therefore, geometry and arrangement of the ribs are important fur the advantageous cooling performance. The angled ribs increase the heat transfer discrepancy between the wall and center regions because of the interaction of the secondary flows. The average heat/mass transfer coefficient and pressure drop of the ribs with the $60^{\circ}$$-90^{\circ}$ compound-angle are higher than those with the $60^{\circ}$ attack angle. Also, the thermal efficiency of the compound-angled rib is higher than that with the $60^{\circ}$ attack angle. The uniformity of heat/mass transfer coefficient on the cross ribs may is higher than that on the parallel ribs array.
The present study investigates the pressure drop characteristics in rotating two-pass ducts. The duct has an aspect ratio (W/H) of 0.5 and a hydraulic diameter $(D_h)$ of 26.67mm. Rib turbulators are attached crossly in the four different arrangements on the leading and trailing surfaces of the test ducts. The ribs have a rectangular cross section of $2mm(e){\times}3mm(w)$ and an attack angle of $70^{\circ}C$. The pitch-to-rib height ratio (pie) is 7.5, and the rib height-to-hydraulic diameter ratio $(e/D_h)$ is 0.075. The results show that the highest pressure drop among each region appears in the turning region for the stationary case, but appears in the upstream region of the second pass for the rotating case. Effects of cross rib arrangements are almost the same in the first pass for the stationary and rotating cases. In the second pass, however, heat transfer and pressure drop are high for the cases with cross NN or PP type ribs in the stationary ducts. In the rotating ducts, they are high for the cases with cross NP or PP type ribs.

In this paper, we describe a security problem of IPsec. And we propose a solution for this problem. The problem is a fragility of IPsec Gateway which is used in tunnel mode. The role of IPsec Gateway is encrypting or decrypting IPsec packets. Because of the role of IPsec Gateway, IPsec Gateway suffers overhead for decrypting numerous packets. Adversaries can easily attack IPsec Gateway using a DDoS attack. To solve this problem, we propose the "Priority based Random Packet Drop" method. In this method, the white list which is a list of normal users is created. After that, according to the frequency of uses, the method marks priorities of random drops to the white list. If anomalous traffic appeared, this method will drop many packets which consist of anomalous traffic. In simple experiment, we show our solution is proper to defend IPsec Gateway. For this experiment, we use empirical backbone traffic which includes DoS attacks.

The local heat transfer and total pressure drops of developed turbulent flows in the ribbed rectangular convergent/divergent channels with ${\Lambda}/V-shaped$ ribs have been investigated experimentally. The channels have the exit hydraulic diameter ($D_{ho}$) to inlet hydraulic diameter ($D_{hi}$) ratios of 0.67 for convergence and 1.49 for divergence, respectively. The ${\Lambda}/V-shaped$ ribs with three different flow attack angles of $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, and $60^{\circ}$ are manufactured with a fixed rib height (e) of 10 mm and the ratio of rib spacing (S) to height (e) of 10 on the walls. Thermal performances of the ribbed rectangular convergent/divergent channels are compared with the smooth straight tube under identical pumping power. The results show that the flow attack angle of $45^{\circ}$ with ${\Lambda}-shaped$ rib has the greatest thermal performance at all the Reynolds numbers studied in the convergent channel; whereas, the flow attack angle of $60^{\circ}$ with V-shaped rib has the greatest thermal performance over Reynolds number of 30,000 in the divergent channel.
