  • The purposes of this study were to explain consumer attitude, expenses and satisfaction of mobile-phone Users. The data of this study used from Pollever.com. This study was satisfaction of mobile-phone users in Korea. The users were consumers of Samsung, LG, SK-Telecom and Pantack. The critical success factor was on the subside for mobile-phone in the growth of mobile service, which we can analyze in its positive effects. Fifty percent of consumers were unsatisfaction with local companies without Samsung. Now most of local mobile-companies will developed music-phone, high-tec camera-phone, hi-slim phone, and health-phone. But, the results of this study are as fallow: Most of consumer' main issues were design, weight, and brand power. It was in that it played the driving force to upgrade the local mobile-phone services into international level with the explosive growth in business by providing cheap phones.

  • FCEV uses electric energy which generated from the reaction between Hydrogen and Oxygen in fuel cell stack as driving force. As fossil fuels are exhausted, fuel cell is regarded as a potent substitute for next generation energy source, and thus, most of car-makers make every efforts to develop fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). In addition, fuel cell is also beneficial in aspect of environment, because only clean water is produced during chemical reaction process instead of harmful exhausted gas. Generally, Hydrogen is supplied from high-pressured fuel tank, and air blower (or compressor) supply Oxygen by pressurizing ambient air. Air blower which is driven by high speed motor consumes about $7{\sim}8$ % of energy generated from fuel cell stack. Therefore, the efficiency of an air blower is directly linked with the performance of FCEV. This study will present the development process of an air blower and its consisting parts respectively.

  • Recently, robot research and development was interesting the inside and outside of the country. Medical robot surgery showed diverse advantages according to advanced technical robot research. Also the academic society, research institute and industry showed concerning to the medical robot system. There is a growing need to introduce medical research for aging society. The surgical landscape is quickly changing because of the major driving force of robotics. Robot system and biomedical engineering research as defined a new engine of development show present ways of future revitalization of medical robot system. Medical robot system will be even more utilized when we keeps trying to combine high biomedical technique, IT research, and robot technique. In this review article, we begin with a short historical review of medical robotics, followed by an overview of clinical applications where robots have been applied.

  • In this paper, we developed visual tracking algorithm using double active bar. The active bar model to represent the object can reduce the search space of energy surface and better performance than those of snake model. However, the contour will not find global equilibrium when driving force caused by image may be weak. To overcome this problem. Double active bar is proposed for finding the global minimum point without any dependence on initialization. To achieve the goal, an deformable model with two initial contours in attempted to search for a global minimum within two specific initial contours. This approach improve the performance of finding the contour of target. To evaluate the performance, some experiments are executed. We can achieved the good result for tracking a object on noisy image.

Self-Regulation of Star Formation Rates: an Equilibrium Vieww

  • In this talk, I will present a theoretical and numerical framework for self-regulation of the star formation rates (SFRs) in disk galaxies. The theory assumes (1) force balance between pressure support and the weight of the interstellar medum (ISM), (2) thermal balance between radiative cooling in the ISM and heating via FUV radiation from massive young stars, and (3) turbulent energy balance between dissipation in the ISM and driving by momentum injection of SNe. Numerical simulations show vigorous dynamics in the ISM at all times, but with proper temporal and spatial averages, all the expected balances hold. This leads to a scaling relation between mean SFRs and galactic gas and stellar properties, arising from the fundamental relationship between SFR surface density and the total midplane pressure.

  • In mechanical systems in which the dynamics of armatures is dominated by electrostatic forces, motions will generally be unstable. This paper deals with the control problems of this kind of micro electrostatic device systems. In these systems, the mass of micro mechanical parts is so small that the inertia term in the equation of motion is negligible. However, nonlinear terms, such as friction and driving force, become dominant. The purpose of this paper is to realize the stable motion without delay and, overshoot etc. A micro-mechanical system used in this paper consists of a plane wafer with striped electrodes converted with an insulation layer and thin cylindrical roller is placed over on it. The performance of motions is confirmed by some simulations.

Doing replace real vehicle experiment with similar experiment environment, it will take us much more useful advantages. Suspension simulator is required the robust and high-reliability and used widely. But it's natural of high-leveled control technique to manage to be fitted fluid system's property and complex that is for the lack of self-damping, nonlinearity, compressibility. In designing and evaluating simulator, it is important to understand the capability of kinematic and static performances. In this paper, an kinematic modeling and analysis has been presented using ADAMS to design that can reproduce longitudinal, lateral, and vertical force.

  • A vibrating angular rate sensor with tuning fork type resonator of microstructure (940*820 .mu. m$^{2}$) was designed and will be fabricated by polysilicon surface micromaching. The angular rate sensor is driven in a lateral direction by electrostatic force of comb drive electrodes, and vertical vibrations of the sensor, thich is detected capacitively, are produced by Coriolis forces due to an external angular rate. Mechanical Q factors and a difference between the frequencies of the two resonant modes, the driving mode and detecting mode, play a great role in increasing the sensitivity of the sensor. To be a highly sensitive sensor, it was designed to have as small frequency discrepancy of the two resonant modes as possible. Finite element method was used for the modal analysis. Several design parameters were selected and their contributions to the modal frequencies were investigated. A method was presented for tuning the detecting mode frequency by DC bias on the drive electrodes.
