  • The number of tunnel has fast increased with the rapid expansion of highway network. Tunnel should be designed to provide for drivers both safety and pleasant driving conditions. In this perspective, the design for tunnel lightning is very important in order to provide its safety, pleasantness, and cost-efficienty of maintenance, all of which should be considered and analyzed for a better tunnel lighting. This paper attempts to compare the low-pressure sodium lamp, which has usually been used for tunnel lighting, with the fluorescent lamp, which we consider as an alternative for the former. In an effort to determine the number of lamps to meet the required illuminance in the tunnel, this research employs a simulation technique which would allow us to conjecture, with the aid of basic model, the life cycle cost for illumination per each tunnel. This analysis is expected to provide a basic method and related information for tunnel development and design.

회전수 상승폭 변화에 따른 인버터열펌프의 비정상 운전특성 (A study on the transient characteristics during speed up of inverter heat pump)

  • The transient characteristics of a 4.0㎾ inverter driven heat pump was investigated by theoretical and experimental studies. The heat pump used in this study consists of a high side scroll compressor and $\Phi$7 compact heat exchangers with two capillary tubes. A series of tests was peformed to examine the transient characteristics of heat pump in heating and cooling mode when the operating speed was varied from 30Hz to 102Hz. One of the major issues that has not been addressed so far is transient characteristics during speed modulation. A cycle simulation model has been developed to predict the cycle performance under frequency rise-up conditions, and the results of theoretical study were compared with the results of experimental study. The theoretical model was driven from mass conservation and energy conservation equations to predict the operation points of refrigerant cycle and the performances at various operating speeds. For transient conditions, the simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental results within 10%. The transient cycle migration of the liquid state refrigerant causes a significant dynamic change in system. Thus, the migration of refrigerant is the most important factor whenever An experimental analysis is performed or A simulation model is developed.

  • Recently, several generative models have emerged and are being used in various industries. Among them, Cycle GAN is still used in various fields such as style transfer, medical care and autonomous driving. In this paper, we propose two methods to improve the performance of these Cycle GAN model. The ReLU activation function previously used in the generator was changed to Leaky ReLU. And a new loss function is proposed that considers the semantic level rather than focusing only on the pixel level through the VGG feature extractor. The proposed model showed quality improvement on the test set in the art domain, and it can be expected to be applied to other domains in the future to improve performance.

  • 차량에 탑재하여 운행 중 배출가스를 측정할 수 있는 이동식 배출가스 장비(PEMS)를 활용한 결함확인검사 방법을 미국은 2007년부터 시행하였고, 유럽은 2013년 EURO6부터 도입할 계획을 수립했다. 따라서 한국도 국내의 대형차 배출가스 관리의 중요성을 고려할 때 PEMS를 활용한 실 도로 주행 특성을 반영한 측정 방법의 도입이 필요한 시점이다. PEM의 다양한 활용 방안을 위하여 도로유형, 매연저감장치 및 공회전제한장치 그리고 에어컨 작동에 따른 배출가스 평가를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 PEMS을 활용한 상용차 결함확인 검사 방법을 분석하여 국내 실정에 적합한 대형차 결함확인 검사제도 시행에 필요한 기초자료를 마련하고자 한다.

자전거 및 PMV(Personal Mobility Vehicle) 사용자의 주행 특성 및 헬멧 착용 실태 조사 (A Survey on Riding Characteristics and Helmet Wearing Conditions of Bicycle and PMV(Personal Mobility Vehicle) Riders)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in riding characteristics and helmet wearing conditions between bicycle and PMV riders so that the basis data necessary for the development of suitable helmets for each group is provided. For this purpose, riding characteristics and helmet wearing conditions of bicycle and PMV users were investigated using online survey method and then the survey results were interpreted by in-depth interview conducted for bicycle and PMV users. The online survey results showed that the PMV group showed shorter driving distance and more driving frequency than bicycle group. This short driving distance was due to the limitation of battery capacity of PMVs. Helmet wearing rate was significantly lower in PMV group than in bicycle group, which was associated with relatively low chances to drive long distance on the motorway. In the PMV group, the 'urban helmets' were mainly used, in which the appearance of helmet was priorized, but in the bicycle group, the 'road cycle helmets' were mainly used, in which the light weight or ventilation were priorized. Urban helmets caused stronger pain and more fitting problems than road cycle helmets because the head shapes of Koreans were not properly applied to the helmet design. Since the fitting problem and pain intensity were the important causes that making PMV users not wear the helmets, it is necessary to develop the urban helmets reflecting the head shapes of Koreans in order to increase the helmet wearing rate of the PMV users.

5-cycle 모드 특성에 따른 온실가스 배출특성 및 배출량 보정식 개발 연구 (A Study on the Developments of Emission Correction Formula and Emission Characteristics of Greenhouse Gas by 5-Cycle Mode)

  • Due to the environmental problems caused by the greenhouse effect, regulation of $CO_2$ emissions is getting stronger day by day. In paricular, regulations of automobiles $CO_2$ emissions are being strengthen. However, existing $CO_2$ measurement methods do not reflect the environment and operating conditions on actual roads. Emissions of $CO_2$ can be increased by various conditions such as environmental condition(temperature and humidity) and driver's tendency(aggressive and passive). Therefore it is necessary to reflect the conditions of various actual roads such as 5-cycle test method on behalf of the existing $CO_2$ emission measurement method. The 5-cycle measurement method has five test modes; FTP-75, HWFET, US06, SC03, Cold FTP-75. The method reflects the following three environments and operating conditions as compared to conventional method; Using heater at low temperature, Aggressive driving such as rapid acceleration or deceleration, Using air conditioner at high temperature. Because of these various conditions of each test cycle, the 5-cycle method can reflect actual environments and operating conditions. This paper attempt to analyze $CO_2$ emission characteristics based on the results measured through the 5-cycle mode and develop the correction formula that can derive the results of the 5-cycle test method using existing test methods. As a result, the developed correction formula is expected to reduce $CO_2$ emissions and cut down expense for testing 5-cycle mode.

소규모 개방경제하에서의 교역조건 충격과 통화정책 (Terms of Trade Shocks and Nontradable Goods Price Inflation Targeting Under a Small Open Economy)

  • 본 연구는 교역조건 충격이 경기 변동의 주요 동인으로 작용하는 동시에 비교 역재 부문이 존재하는 소규모 개방경제를 대상으로, 이론모형을 바탕으로 한 모의실험의 방법론을 이용하여 다양한 통화정책이 갖는 사회후생상의 함의를 정량적으로 검토한다. 본 연구의 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교역조건 충격이 경기 변동을 야기하는 주요 동인으로 작용하는 경제의 경우에는, 비교역재 물가 인플레이션 타깃팅이 소비자 물가 인플레이션 타깃팅이나 고정환율제도와 비교하여 보다 높은 사회후생 수준을 제시할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 비교역재 물가 인플레이션 타깃팅의 사회후생 개선효과는 교역조건 충격의 변동성이 커질수록, 반면 지속성은 낮을수록 확대되는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 비교역재 물가 인플레이션 타깃팅의 사회후생 증진효과는 수입재 가격 변동보다는 국내 실질한계비용에 직접적으로 영향을 미치게 되는 수출재 가격 변동과 관련이 있는 것으로 드러났다.

다중 과하중에 의한 A1 7075-T6 합금의 피로균열 성장지연현상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Growth Retardation Phenomena of Al 7075--T6 Alloy under Multiple overload(I))

  • Aircraft structures and engineering structures are always subject to variable amplitude loads. Variable amplitude loads include some kind of loading history; for example, constant amplitude load, single peak overload and block overload etc. Crack growth under variable amplitude loading exhibits retardation effect. In this study, the 4 point bending fatigue test was performed by hydrolic servo fatigue testing machine on 7075-T6 Al-alloy. The retardation effect of overload ratio and numbers of overload cycle was quantitatively studied. 1) Change of retardation effect against increment of overload ratio is more evident when the multiple overload is applied than single overload is done. 2) The number of overload cycle is very important factor about the crack growth retardation effect when the overload ratio is more than 1.75; that is not when the overload ratio is less than 1.75. 3) Overload affected zone size increased gradually by increment of crack growth retardation effect. 4) Crack driving force is more greatly reduced when the crack tip branched off two direction than it sloped to one direction.

  • 전투기에 장착되는 정보수집용 포드의 냉각 장치인 ACM에 대한 성능 시험평가를 수행하였다. 시험평가 대상인 ACM은 역 브레이튼 공기 사이클로 작동되는 터보기기로서, 항공기의 비행속도에 의한 램 공기를 에너지원으로 사용하여 추가적인 에너지의 공급 없이 냉각 기체를 발생시킨다. 또한 습기에 민감한 전자장비의 냉각에 이용하기 위하여 열교환기를 함께 구성하였다. 성능시험을 통하여 개발 대상 ACM 및 열교환기는 요구 성능을 만족함을 확인하였다.
