The analysis was carried out using the press molding analysis program by applying six parameters such as material type change, material thickness, friction coefficient, rp, rd and blank holder pressure. As a result of CAE analysis of the soft material DC04 and the relatively hard material HX300LAD, the thickness of the punch R part of the soft material was significantly reduced. The flange portion is greatly increased in thickness in the hard material by the compression action. As a result of considering the deformation amount of 0.6mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm according to the material thickness, the influence of the thickness is considered to be very small. In case of the material thickness of 0.6mm, the rate of change increases due to the deep drawing depth relative to the material thickness. The sizes of the punches R and die R have the greatest influence on the change in thickness of the material in drawing molding, the smaller the punch R, the thinner the edges of the product, The larger the R of the die, the greater the material thickness of the flange portion. As the coefficient of friction and the blank holder pressure increase, the frictional force of the flange portion increases, which increases the radial force in the drawing process and increases the thickness change of the flange portion.

The investigation deals with the manufacturing process design and deformation analysis for seamless pressure vessels Axisymmetric multistage deep drawing is a complex and important sheet metal forming process in the industry. In this study the process design for large size cylindrical shells with various thickness is performed and a general guideline for forming process design of pressure vessels will be suggested. Thus in this paper for the verification of the forming process design the forming analysis of pressure vessels will be carried out by PAM-STAMP which is on the basis of finite element analysis. In this case the formability of pressure vessels is evaluated using the results of computer simulation.
It was analyzed and experimented on the change of the material thickness according to the size of the "R" of the punch and die corners using the material of SCP-1 0.25mm As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. Tensile strength analysis and safety analysis of materials are very important process for each process in strip layout, and Through this, the Influx of material and the deformation of the material were found. As a result of safety analysis and tensile thickness analysis, when the corner R of the punch was 0.3 mm and the edge R of the die was 1.0 mm The inflow of the material was not smooth, and the thickness of the corner part became 0.2 mm, causing cracks. when the corner R of the punch was 0.5 mm and the edge R of the die was 1.5 mm The inflow of the material was smooth, The thickness of the corners of the product is 0.21mm and It was considered that cracks do not occur when the thickness of the bottom surface and the body part becomes thin. The results obtained by applying the results obtained from the analysis, In Experimental Condition 1, a crack occurred in the same part of the analysis In Experimental Condition 2, the flow of the material was smooth and the drawing processing could be performed without generating cracks.

The wrinkling of thin sheet metal induced by compressive instability is one of major defects in sheet metal forming processes. compressive instability is influence by many factors such as mechanical properties of the sheet material geometry of the sheet contact conditions and plastic anisotropy. The analysis of compressive instability in a plastically deforming body is rather difficult because the effects of the above-mentioned factors are rather complex and the instability behavior may show swide variations even for small deviations of the factors. in this work the bifurcation theory is introduced for the finite elemental analysis of the instability behavior of a thin sheet with initially sound geometry and property. All the above-mentioned factors are conveniently considered by the finite element method. The instability limit is found by introducing a criterion scheme into the incremental analysis and the post-bifurcation behavior is analyzed by introducing the branching scheme. Wrinkling initiation and growth in the deep drawing process are analyzed.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the understanding of the sighting and hearing elementary school students have through drawing. For this purpose, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 602 elementary school students. The questionnaire was composed with open-ended question developed by West et al.(2008). This questionnaire was presented only appearance of face. And let them express the sensory pathway by drawing and writing. The students' responses for questionnaire were classified by 5 levels. Inner-researcher consistency was 0.89, inter-researcher consistency was 0.83. The data analyzed were ${\chi}^2$ by using SPSS. The result of this study were as following: First, elementary school students have misconception of sighting and hearing. There were no difference among the grade. In spite of becoming upper grade, students have still misconception. Second, scientific concept that male students have were significantly more than female. Third, the concepts of the anatomically organs are more exposed in real-life situations, students known better. Within these results, it would be used for developing teaching-learning strategies which can use misconceptions students have.

In April 2010, the die and mould grand prix for university student was held in Osaka as a special event of Inter Mold Japan. The students from Korea, China, and Japan participated to demonstrate the design and manufacturing skill of die and mould. Based on the given product drawing of Test Work, progressive die should be designed and manufactured. Also, production of Test Work should be carried out. This study had been conducted to participate in the grand prix and to learn practical knowledge and experience from real die design and making. Test Work is made of SPCC and includes piercing, blanking, deep drawing and burring. From the analysis of product drawing, process planning and die design was carried out. Progressive die for Test Work was manufactured using CNC milling, grinding, wire-cutting and polishing. The production was successfully completed using mechanical press and product showed very good accuracy satisfying all dimensional tolerances.

In this work, computer-aided process design is carried out to develop an optimal preform of a pressure vessel. Knowledge-based rules are employed to design the preform, and they are formulated using the handbooks of plasticity theories. In the FE-analysis, a commercial finite element code, ABAQUS was employed. Axisymmetric deep drawing of a hemisphere-bottomed cup has been analyzed fur various combinations of die design parameters. The length of the land of die, the clearance between punch and die and the clearance between the blank holder and die are optimized to minimize the forming load. The results of the simulations are verified with the experiments which are scaled down to one tenth of the actual size.
In this study, the glass fiber drawing from a silica preform in the furnace for the optical fiber manufacturing process is numerically simulated by considering the radiative heating of cylindrically shaped preform. The one-dimensional governing equations of the mass, momentum, and energy conservation for the heated and softened preform are solved as a set of the boundary value problems along with the radiative transfer approximation between the muffle tube and the deformed preform shape, while the furnace heating is modeled by prescribing the temperature distribution of muffle tube. The temperature-dependent viscosity of silica plays an important role in formation of preform neck-down profile when the glass fiber is drawn at high speed. The calculated neck-down profile of preform and the draw tension are found to be reasonable and comparable to the actual results observed in the optical fiber industry. This paper also presents the effects of key operating parameters such as the muffle tube temperature distribution and the fiber drawing speed on the preform neck-down profile and the draw tension. Draw tension varies drastically even with the small change of furnace heating conditions such as maximum heating temperature and heating width, and the fine adjustment of furnace heating is required in order to maintain the appropriate draw tension of 100~200 g.
The finite element method has been widely applied in the sheet metal forming process. However, the finite element method is computationally expensive and time consuming. In order to tackle this problem, surrogate modeling methods have been proposed. An artificial neural network (ANN) is one such surrogate model and has been well studied over the past decades. However, when it comes to ANN with two or more layers, so called deep neural networks (DNN), there is distinct a lack of research. We chose to use DNNs our surrogate model to predict the behavior of sheet metal in the deep drawing process. Thickness variation is selected as an output of the DNN in order to evaluate workpiece feasibility. Input variables of the DNN are radius of die, die corner and blank holder force. Finite element analysis was conducted to obtain data for surrogate model construction and testing. Sampling points were determined by full factorial, latin hyper cube and monte carlo methods. We investigated the performance of the DNN according to its structure, number of nodes and number of layers, then it was compared with a radial basis function surrogate model using various sampling methods and numbers. The results show that our DNN could be used as an efficient surrogate model for the deep drawing process.
Recently, electric vehicles and hybrid cars are being promoted as alternatives to reduce automobile emissions. Generally, thin sheet materials such as aluminum alloy AA300X and cold-rolled steel sheet such as JIS-G-3141 are used for the container for the lithium-ion secondary batteries. In this study, a multi-stage deep drawing process is used to produce a rectangular cup from thin stainless steel sheet material, SUS409L, with an initial blank thickness of 0.4mm for the battery container application. Numerical simulations of the first through the fifth stages for the multi-stage deep drawing with thin SUS409L sheet were conducted using LS-Dyna3D Implicit/Explicit. Special consideration was given to the deformation characteristics due to the normal anisotropy of the sheet material. The numerical simulations were conducted with both isotropic properties and the anisotropic properties of the initial blank material. An unexpected forming failure, barreling in the bottom region of the deep drawn rectangular cup, was observed. This failure mode can be avoided by additional ironing thickness control during the process.
