Both personality and mother tongue influenced Korean language learning positively and negatively. International students' improvement of Korean was related in studying with Korean mass media such as TV soap dramas, talk shows, and songs. International students think that TOPIK(Test Of Proficiency In Korean) is not much related with their Korean language fluency. • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of consumers' perceived brand benefits toward brand coffee shops on continuous purchase intentions as well as the mediating effect of brand trust. The survey was conducted on coffee consumers aged 20~40 years living in Seoul and who visited brand coffee shops exposed as product placement (PPL) in TV dramas. Out of 400 questionnaires distributed to consumers, 381 questionnaires (95.3%) were analyzed. Consumers were more interested in places (60.1%) than the products (39.9%) of the coffee shops exposed as PPL. Over half (54.6%) of the respondents showed a positive attitude towards coffee shop PPLs. All three brand benefits perceived by consumers (functional, symbolic, and empirical) had significant positive effects on brand trust and continuous purchase intention. In particular, symbolic benefit has the greatest impact on continuous purchase intention towards the brand. Brand trust had a mediating effect between perceived brand benefits and continuous purchase intentions. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on enhancing the perceived symbolic benefit of the brand to effectively maintain customer relationships. The results suggest that when planning positioning concepts, considering the importance of brand benefits is the best way to increase the competitiveness of coffee shop brands.

Even if there were more than 1,000 violations per year for digital works, the punishment was very weak. Especially copyright infringement by teenager is increasing. This study aims to present the direction of future development through questionnaires on the perception and direction of college students about copyright. 157 college students were surveyed about copyright awareness, perception of detailed legal provisions, cost of monthly expenses, copyright violation, and direction of copyright protection. As a result of the questionnaire survey, awareness was high at 69%, but in detailed law was low at 17.2% and 22.3%. In the future direction of copyright policy, 72.6% of them answered that they should be "strengthened" and "more and more strengthened". In order to protect copyrights, enforcement of crackdowns, public relations activities, expansion of the legal market, and technical protection should be done. In order to do this, copyright-related education for elementary, middle, high school and college students are needed more and it is necessary to expand the legal market where high quality contents are traded. More research is needed on copyright protection technological methods.

  • The purpose of this research is to examine track suits which appear in mass media and to attempt to understand their embedded symbolism. Hence, a theoretical inquiry and case study on suit tracks were carried out. The case study was confined to the period since 2000, when sportswear emerged as a megatrend in fashion, to 2012. Occurrences of track suits in film, TV dramas, music videos, advertisements, and fashion collections were examined. Research indicated that the track suits in film or TV drama worked as items to give a change to coordination, material and decoration, so that the track suits highlighted the characters in them rather than emphasizing external factors or their own design. They were used as tools to indicate the sensual and dynamical feminine image in the rap and hip hop genres in music video. They also showed the dynamic image of modern woman via advertisements of sports brands. In the case of celebrity fashion, both inside and outside Korea, they introduced the track suits in a comfortable and sensual manner through both official and unofficial image releases. In the fashion collections, transboundary deconstructiveness was strongly expressed in terms of design, material, color, and production method. The case study in this research indicated that the symbolism in track suits was characterized as transboundary deconstruction as well as value in dynamic femininity, and products from reactionary nostalgia.
